dollytino4real:I blv d little girl died bkos d parent couldn't raise money for her treatment. |
this thing a big problem now in Nigeria o and calls for urgent attention. You take a person to the hospital and at the end you lost the person,I think the hospital should take small responsibility. They can at lease reduce the price, you can not lose life and money all alone now. Unless if their is something you should do that you did not and led to the demise of the person. And in some cases people don't have money to take care while the person is a life, where will they get money now that the person is dead. This matter needs attention o. |
They shld leave the body for them now, the bill is much, where do they expect the parents to get the money from. The parents of the girl shld leave the body for them there abeg. |

House of looters are the cause of every Hardship in Nigeria ![]() |
The physical presentation of proposed N19.76 trillion 2023 budget by President Muhammadu Buhari to the joint session of the National Assembly next month is not certain due to ongoing renovation of Senate and House of Representatives chambers. Budget presentation usually takes place in the House of Representatives chamber. But the renovation work, which is expected to be completed in August 2023, has caused the relocation of the federal lawmakers to a makeshift chambers for plenary. The federal government had said that the renovation of the National Assembly complex will gulp N30.2 billion. On Friday, Senate President Ahmad Lawan inspected the renovation work and said it is creating challenge of where to host Buhari. “The Green Chamber of the House of Representatives normally used for such very important event is also being renovated. But that is going to be one of the issues that we are going to tackle immediately we resume,” Lawan said. He also said that one of the urgent legislative assignment that would be carried out by the Senate on resumption next week is confirmation of Justice Olukayode Ariwoola as substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN). He said, “We have the confirmation of the Chief Justice of Nigeria already waiting. Recall that the President sent the request but that was a day before the Senate went on its annual summer recess. “Therefore, this is going to be one of the first things we need to do to ensure that the acting capacity does not go beyond the required three months. “The security of our country, the security of our people has always been of great concern to us and will remain so and at this point let me commend our Armed Forces and other security agencies for upping the game and doing better in the last one month or so. “We hope that they will do better than that but I want to assure Nigerians that the National Assembly particularly the Senate will continue to support our security agencies and defence forces to fight for restoration of normalcy in our security situation in the country. “Our economy is challenged. It’s our focus that we make sure that the economy works for all Nigerians regardless of their socio-economic status. We are optimistic that we will be able to pass a budget that will provide for better life for Nigerians. It has not been easy but nothing is impossible and no problem is insurmountable. “We also have so many other issues of ensuring that the 2023 general elections, at the end, the kind of elections that everybody will say, well, I have won fairly or I have lost fairly. “So we want to ensure that there is very credible elections that will be of integrity and we will support the INEC to the fullest to ensure that the 2023 general elections hold in such a manner that INEC does not lack anything, that Nigerians are able to exercise their franchise and at the end of the day, we will have new set of leaders to continue to lead our country.” https://dailytrust.com/why-buhari-may-not-present-2023-budget-in-person mynd44 oam4j lalasticlala seun semid4lyfe dominique |
9ja women no go carry last on drugs because they all recharge their battery with Benelin with Codeine, That's why they are reducing our number with Rat poison ![]() |
The Chairman, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency
(NDLEA), Brig.Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa, has said one
out of every four drug users in Nigeria is a female.
Marwa said this in Benin, Edo State Capital, at a seminar
“Combating Drug Trafficking and Providing Care for Victims of
Drug Abuse
as part of the programme in the ongoing Betsy Obaseki
football tournament.
Represented by his special adviser, Otunba Lanre
Ipinmisho, he said ” the focus on the Girl Child and young
women is strategic in the effort to curb the rising trend of
drug abuse among Nigerians”.
“From the National Drug Use and Health Survey, one of four
drug users in Nigeria is female. There is more profound
evidence on social media where users upload videos of
themselves, a significant number of whom are young girls,
abusing various types of drugs including cannabis and
methamphetamine”.
He said the agency surveillance shows that majority of club
goers who are young women, regularly come in contact and
use drugs, adding that those involved in anti-social
activities like prostitution or commercial sex work use
stimulant drug as tools for their occupation.
He explained that the 2018 National Survey on Drug Use
and Health showed that 14.3million Nigerians, most of
them overwhelmingly youths abuse drugs while Nigeria has
exceptionally high drug prevalence of 14.4 percent
On his part, Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki, blamed
heightened cases of drug abuse on the ongoing strike
embarked on the Academic Staff Union of Universities
(ASUU).
He said the study conducted in the state had shown that drug
abuse has assumed a new dimension and, second to
kidnapping in the rating of social vices.
“Drug abuse is a crisis that the state has taken upon to
make call for collective action to tackle. It is a crisis, not
only here, but also globally. The adverse effects of drug
abuse has robbed many youths of their lives, condemning
them to life dependent on drugs.”
He said the development limits their abilities to properly
function in our society and deprives the society of the
much needed human capital to drive productivity and
economic growth.
“While some may argue that this issue is not directed
applied to us in Nigeria, we are reminded that Nigeria risks
loosing one of the medals won in the just concluded
Commonwealth Games on the account of suspicion of
prohibited drugs,” he said.
He however however, advocated more support of the
National Drugs Laws Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to
tackle the incident of drugs abuse in the state.
Also, Mrs Bisi Fayemi, who spoke on behalf of the Nigerian
Governors’ Wives Forum lauded the organiser for the initiative.
Earlier, Mrs Betsy Obaseki, said the tournament was
conceived to discourage women and girls embarking on
illegal migration.
The platform, she said, was to prove that women could
earn their dollars at home if building a career in football. https://dailytrust.com/marwa-one-out-of-4-drug-users-in-nigeria-is-a-female mynd44 oam4j lalasticlala seun semid4lyfe dominique |
