Manchester United have been in touch with Cristiano Ronaldo's agent over a return to the Premier League for the player, according to reports in Italy . Ronaldo's future at Juventus has been in doubt ever since their shock Champions League exit at the hands of Porto last month. Their nine-year Serie A dominance also appears likely to be coming to an end as they sit 11 points behind leaders Inter Milan with just six games remaining. And according to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport , Juventus' current poor run has left the 36-year-old angry and tired of playing for a side that has not been able to match his ambitions this season. And the same outlet claims United have made their interest in bringing the Portugal star - who Juventus would reportedly sell for as little as £26million (€30m) - back to Old Trafford known, having spoken with his representative and super agent Jorge Mendes last week. However, while the report adds Juventus would be very happy to get rid of the former Real Madrid star's £27m (€31m) salary, the player himself reportedly has no intention of giving up such wages until his contract expires in June next year. The report however adds that while his annual salary would need to be halved for United to make a move, Ronaldo could still be tempted to forego those economic ambitions to return to the club where he made his name and that more than any other believed in him, having felt a lack of support this season in Italy. United's highest-paid player is currently goalkeeper De Gea, who earns £375,000 per week after signing a new deal in 2019, and he is followed by Paul Pogba, with the midfielder raking in a weekly salary of £260,000. United boss and Ronaldo's former team-mate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would reportedly be thrilled to coach him for at least a year, while Juventus would be willing to sell the player in their bid to rejuvenate their squad. Under fire chief Andrea Agnelli - who played a crucial role in the doomed European Super League - sees Matthijs De Ligt and Federico Chiesa as key to the club's future plans, while they will also look to renew Paulo Dybala's contract until 2026 if Ronaldo departs. Juventus signed the 36-year-old world superstar from Real Madrid in the summer of 2018 for £88m. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9503047/Manchester-United-make-contact-Cristiano-Ronaldos-agent-return-club-summer.html lalasticlala semid4lyfe honeric01 |

Jelous wailers open your ears and hear words from someone with human brain |
A former United States Ambassador to Nigeria, John Campbell, has disclosed that freedom of speech and thought is integral to the American system, hence it could not have denied its Visa to the minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ali- Pantami. Recall that a report by Daily Independent had claimed that the United States had placed the minister on their terror watchlist over alleged ties with terrorist groups. Although the newspaper later withdrew the report, the allegation had triggered social media campaign against the minister, with some calling for his resignation. But while responding to an email chat with The Punch on the allegation Thursday, the former Ambassador said Mr Pantami’s sermons and other public statements could not be the only yardstick for putting him on its terror watchlist. Mr Campbell, who served as ambassador to Nigeria between 2004 and 2007, said: “As for Dr. Pantami’s sermons and other public statements, a consular officer would want to know when he made them–years ago or yesterday. “There is also the question of whether he advocated violence and whether his apology is a repudiation of what he said. “Is he now part of an international terrorist network? Or, are some of his views merely parallel to those of, say, Osama Bin Laden? As you know, freedom of speech and of thought is integral to the American system. “So, actions (including inflammatory rhetoric) weigh more heavily than the mere expression of ideas or beliefs. Each visa decision is made on a case-by-case basis.” https://dailynigerian.com/pantami-pays-attention-terror/ mynd44 oam4j lalasticlala |

Buhari will go in 2023 and we hope the ipobs messiah will takeover. Very useless set of people who see nothing good in the administration. The minister remains one of the best minister and will never be sacked. We the good citizens of Nigeria are strongly behind the minister. Thunder scatter ipobs |

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kaduna State chapter,
has warned that the death of a former Kaduna State governor, Sir
Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa, should not be linked to the Minister of
Communication and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Pantami.
However, CAN said sensitive documents including the one
purported to be a minutes of a meeting of Jama’atu Nasril Islam
(JNI) chaired by Pantami some years ago should be subjected to
security checks.
A statement issued by the state CAN chairman, who incidentally
was a special adviser on Religious Affairs to the late Governor
Yakowa, Rev. John Joseph Hayab, said the church and Yakowa’s
family consider the allegation very serious with a possible adverse
impact on peace and national security.
“I have followed the unfolding saga and grievous revelations
against the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr Isa
Ibrahim Pantami. However, I am alarmed by the dangerous turns of
events, especially the issue linked with the release of some
documents with doubtful authenticity linking the embattled minister,
Pantami and the Muslim community with the death of His
Excellency, Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa.
“Consequently, expresses strong reservations and concerns about
statements like the ones associated in the past to Pantami as
circulated in audios and videos released on social media.
“Society’s discomforts and disagreements should, however, not be
enough reasons for us to approve the circulation of phony and
injurious statements against any perceived foe. However, we
consider that the communique could be doctored. We are aware
that in this age of technological advancements, we have to take
any allegations with a pinch of salt until we are confident of the
authenticity of the source,” Hayab said.
According to him, “sensitive documents like the ones purported to
be from the JNI meeting in Bauchi should be subjected to thorough
security investigation and trials, not tools for social media warfare.
The danger of making this a media issue, instead of a legal and
security issue that it ought to be, is that we stand to lose the most
important point; that of bringing to justice persons accused to have
wronged the law.
“There is a need for circumspection and care so that we do not
throw our communities into further chaos in the rush to hang one
man. At a time of strained relationships between neighbours, what
we need are mediatory interventions and peace-building, rather
than adding fuel to the raging fire.
“To be sure, when Sir, Yakowa died in an air crash there was no
inquiry to determine the cause of his death, aside from the
immediate and likely technical fault leading to the helicopter crash.
We, the Christian community and indeed his immediate family
acknowledged the tragedy, submitting to the will of God Almighty.
For that purpose, there is no point, now or later, to open up what
will not bring back our leader and father but rather open up old
wounds in a very controversial manner.
The state chapter of CAN, therefore, advised those with an axe to
grind with Pantami to do so within their limits, adding that, “as a
church leader, I chose to speak because of my deep belief that
justice is natural and we shall live to account before our Lord.
Besides, if we support unverified allegations against someone today
because we loathe the person, the monster could be deployed
against us or someone we cherish tomorrow.
“As someone very close to the late Yakowa, I call on all Nigerians
to ignore the insinuations linking Pantami with Sir Yakowa’s death,
endangering national peace. This, I call on security agencies to step
in and tame the circulation of such dangerous documents.
“We cannot afford to stock fire when we should be pouring more
water. Those who feel they have information to help the security
agencies investigate whatever crimes against groups or individuals
should do so within the provided window, without exacerbating the
tension of formulating tales in the public space.

Italian firm, Eni, is considering more oil and gas operations in Nigeria and other West Africa and the Middle East countries to help reduce debt. The move is also to fund its shift to low-carbon energy, according to company and industry sources. Africa’s biggest foreign oil and gas producer, Eni has prize assets in Nigeria, Congo and Angola. It has big production centres in Egypt and Libya, has rapidly built a presence in the Gulf and is looking to grow in Asia, said reuters. The move is part of a major overhaul the company launched last year as it transitions into renewables and a gradual tapering of oil and gas output. Eni aims to replicate the success of its 2019 oil and gas spin-off in Norway, where it formed joint venture Var Energi with private equity firm HitecVision and retains a 69.6 per cent stake. That created Norway’s second largest oil and gas producer after acquiring Exxon Mobil’s portfolio there for $4.5 billion, giving it production of about 150,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. The investment has been highly profitable, paying Eni nearly $1.3 billion euros in dividends since its creation. ADVERTISEMENT “The company is working on doing more of the same (as Var) with chosen partners in West Africa and the Near-Far East and Far East,” a source said without giving further detail. Creating a separate entity will allow Eni to shift some of its debt, which rose last year to 26.7 billion euros ($32.2 billion), off its balance sheet given it will no longer be consolidated at group level,” the sources said. With lower debt, Eni hopes to raise new capital to build its renewables and low-carbon business which will form the backbone of the future company. Eni has recently held talks with several large oil and gas producers including BP and Total to merge parts of their operations in West Africa and the Middle East, sources told Reuters. Eni, BP and Total all declined to comment. BP and Total face challenges similar to Eni’s in terms of managing debt and low- carbon emissions but it remains unclear if the talks will be successful, the sources said. Europe’s top energy companies were forced to raise record amounts of debt after oil and gas demand cratered in the wake of the pandemic. Eni chief financial officer, Francesco Gattei, in February told analysts that there are opportunities in business combinations like Var Energi to remove debt from Eni’s balance sheet. “We aim to replicate our Norwegian Var model in different countries, with potential business combinations which are currently under screening,” Gattei said at the time. https://leadership.ng/italian-firm-to-increase-oil-gas-stake-in-nigeria-others/ mynd44 oam4j lalasticlala |
This is not a joke but a serious question. The Chinese should leave our joysticks alone and those that procure them for them in Nigeria should be regarded as terrorists and eliminated.” |
The House of Representatives has resolved to investigate alleged illicit trade on human organs between Nigeria and China. The resolution was a sequel to a unanimous adoption of a motion by Rimamnde Kwewum (PDP-Taraba) and co-sponsored by Olajide Olatubosun (APC-Oyo), at plenary on Thursday. Moving the motion earlier, Mr Kwewum said that about two weeks ago, Chinese authorities seized a cargo ship that sailed from Nigeria with 7,200 refrigerated penis.’ According to him, they were found in 36 boxes labelled as plantain on the ship that harboured at the Shanghai port called Red Market. He said the Chinese General Administration of Customs had alerted that an increasingly large number of armed groups in Africa used organs which were harvested in unsanitary conditions to finance their nefarious activities. “The media was awash a few years ago with horrifying stories of the harvest of organs of Nigerians and other Africans stranded in Libya for sale in Europe, the Middle East, America and China. “Aware that the increasing cases of missing persons, ritual killings and trafficking of persons out of the country may be linked to the Red Market which can be attributed to the trafficking of young men and women who end up being victims of organ harvesting; “Also aware that the increased banditry, kidnappings and spiralling violence in several parts of the country today make those parts of the country vulnerable and provide safe havens and ready supply channels for the illicit activities,” he said. Mr Kwewum said harvest of organs could only be done by medical surgeons with the aid of rogue public officials. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/more-news/456881-reps-to-investigate-export-of-over-7000-refrigerated-penis-to-china.html mynd44 oam4j lalasticlala |
