FamilyRe: Wife Is Asking For Late Husband's Property 3 Days After They Got Wedded by mankettle(m): 6:12am On May 27, 2019
1. if they married in registry she is the legal wife so she is entitled to her portion of his estate, this is not limited to whether she is pregnant or not. the only catch is, if she is found culpable in his death, then she is not entitled to anything as one cannot benefit from his wrong.
2. if it is only traditional, she is entitled to his estate still based on the customs of the village. also if she is pregnant, then you have to wait for the birth also as he too is entitled to his or her Papa's estate.. PS. it's over 4 months she must be showing
FamilyRe: Please Help!!i Need Some Life Advice. by mankettle(m): 1:08am On May 23, 2019
message is simple @ logobenz.
always diversify. do not put all your eggs in one basket. since business is in waves some times good some times tough always have another source of income or another minor business which will tide you over.

I have a friend who is a major exporter, when times where tough my guy was importing cars to sell and also had started a fish farm.
I am sure you will bounce back soon, and when you do just look for a side hustle outside your main line

Here is the topic: "Fraud In Corporate Nigeria: Union Bank As A Case Study."

Hope it is clear?
this is a clear case of bad journalism.
if it was just a mere case study, he would have said...
I have observed the trend by the bank bla bla bla. instead of saying that the bank is a den of fraud

FamilyRe: My Mum Is Retiring Next Year, What Business Can She Do? by mankettle(m): 6:25pm On May 19, 2019
as a civil servant, she started her retirement planning a bit late, anyways all is not lost.
if you own your house, thank God. if not let her rush to complete it.
after that, it depends on what she did in service, a teacher can open a school, an accountant a firm, a lawyer a firm etc. let her open her office clients will come from those she met in service.
finally, she can always open a small shop or a farm ( plantation) this will cover her day to day costs without being too stressful on her after she establishes it.
or She can start aggressively buying Treasury bills and other fixed income assets. and also if possible buy an annuity. this will give her some cash.

Why are you ignoring the fact that it is jointly owned, not solely owned?
I am not Sir. I am aware if that fact and I have taken same into consideration. whether jointly or separately owned it makes no difference. she sues him for her share while the buyer will contend with her too. NO CRIME was committed.

It is criminal to solely sell off a jointly owned asset without consent, irrespective of relationship with joint owner. That rogue is certainly coughing out his wife's share and very free to go remarry.
sincerely sir, it is NOT a criminal offense to dispose of ones property. even the police are aware that was why he was charged under 249 breach of public peace and not 419, or 390(9) which is fraud or stealing

That is why he has been arrested as he has no right to render his family homeless. That marriage is already over, the woman and her family will be focused on getting her share of the proceeds from the sale.
travesty of Justice. he has the perogative to render his family homeless. it is HIS family. morever some offences are not criminal, some are civil. if I decide to vacate the house, sell it and marry another wife. I have committed no crime maybe I have offended u civilly

but on the lighter note am i supposed to give them anything? this same family the eldest sister didn't contribute a dime to her younger sister's wedding(my wife) the eldest brother i heard brought one bag of rice...(which i didn't see) i fully paid for all the food and drinks.... i only heard this from my mother in-law that he bought additional half bag, later i heard it was one full bag...the size of bag keeps changing... it was the same traditional marriage of mine that i didn't eat the rice, or even had any to take home. even after there was additional one bag...... lipsrsealed, anyway its not like i want to revenge, but i have a gut felling that i am not supposed to contribute, its only burial ceremonies that people contribute to, pls correct me if i am wrong.
this family na I never chop.. so shameless. after not contributing to his wedding, probably giving him tough time u now want him to partake in yours.
in fact 10k is too much, buy better cloth, fast and go and eat. you have fully paid your dues

Jointly owned not sole ownership.
caveat emptor.. let the buyer beware. he can sued by the buyer for fraudulent misrepresentation, but a buyer as the duty to confirm who owns a property.
he has the will to deal with same as he chooses

FamilyRe: My Father Does Not Let Me Drive His Car Is This Normal? by mankettle(m): 11:05pm On May 13, 2019
imagine such effrontery. not allowing me to drive his car, why shouldn't he allow me? no be my papa get am? I must drive the car..
it is this thinking that limits one. go out, meet friends who have cars learn from them. go out go to mechanic sheds and learn from them. instead of you insisting on driving your PAPA's car.
I grew up with many cars but didn't learn how to drive until I bought mine so that if anything happens it is my money my stress, not urs.
let Daddy enjoy his car in peace

it's sad this as occurred but please take heart and don't allow the small children to be affected.

@ op
you gave her capital for a business in Nigeria that means she can cater for both herself and the kid.
if u want to be close to your kid I will advise u seek custody from where u are right now so they can order the following.
1. access and days of visitation.
2. holidays etc.
3. child welfare bills etc which are reasonable.
4. medicals.
as for the marriage get a lawyer in Nigeria to Divorce her since you have lived apart for 3 years.
I am sorry bro but I wish u better luck in marriage next time.
I am not saying she cheated and neither am I blaming you guys but 3 years apart is enough to kill any love both of you had for each other. just focus on the kid

FamilyRe: I Want To Sue My Dad by mankettle(m): 6:41am On Apr 20, 2019
acecouture:
Good evening, first of all I want to apologize for any grammatical errors and blunders am going to make thank you.

I don't know how and where to start from but I will make the story short and brief. My dad took my mom to court accusing her of which craft, threat to his life 2017 and January last year he divorced her, mind you it was 28 year year of marriage. My dad is 60, am 27 years.

I had set back concerning my education,i had to withdraw from a federal university to a private university, 5years was wasted. The main reason of going to a private university is simply because of the university strike ,am getting older... thank God and in my final year now and am doing well ,but my father suddenly withdrew every support on me including my sisters because we took our mother side.

About my mother, months after the divorce he took her again to kings palace concerning property, well he happens to be a successfull man I mean he is worth up to 100 million naira. Out of 13 houses he has and several properties we don't know about he only issued us one and that was the first house he built.

My mom won the case but with annoyance he withdrew his support on me, my younger sister's r through in university(o yes am the first born and only son with 3 girls). Now I have now where to run to ,I haven't paid school fees and am in final year.i don't know what to do

My mom can't raise the money , neither can I .I have a business but is just for feeding
Please I want to extort money from him in a legal way,am not after his properties but just to finish from the university.

Pls and pls I need your sincere advice, I battling with depression (bipolar disorder) .there is more to this story but am ready to answer any question
Thanks you
PS .sorry for the errors once again
u don't have to sue your dad, but ur mum needs to. seems she got the short end of the stick during the divorce. I would have loved to help let us review what happened and see what we can do
FamilyRe: Boyfriend And Family by mankettle(m): 6:27am On Apr 20, 2019
if the child is indeed his younger brother is sister, it is very normal here for one to adopt such a sibling and bring him or her up, especially if the boyfriend is the first child.
on the issue of the child calling you mom, tell him or her to call you be a nickname or alias like big aunty, small mummy etc.
as for the taken part, the guy is protecting your interest, some families will not want to hear I am Taken they want to see rings and pictures.
