RealityShot: I believe that, what NIGHTLIFE100 & manneger2 are trying to say is that With all your qualifications, you should start applying online till you get a suitable job offer above your current, Then you can move over there.
GOOD luck.
When some of us are jumping there to job hunt, It's because we earn less than 500aed here... So a 1000aed job with accommodation looks pretty from here...
LOL... The way manneger2 is talking... Even after renting his own apartment in less than a year of moving there... He must have seen THINGS...
manneger2, Bros share ya experience please, some of us are planning to raid our life saving to go there O! Lol Thank you Bros I didn't say I have my own apartment, I only said I have my personal Residence visa now. U get now for my experience in uae is not too bad because I got a 2000aed job within 2wks I came with tourist visa but problem started when the company folded because of mis management and the company Cancelled all his workers, I began again searching for a job before I decided to do my own personal Residence visa. So uae is not easy you will go for interview perform wonderfully well with good attested certificate, they will still take a Filipino or Indians that you might be better than, there by leaving us Africa to do all the labourer/ man power job, my guy I tell you the biggest job for an Africa here now is security which pay between 2000 - 3000aed and top security company is refusing to employ Nigerians now, is not easy I tell u but there are still Nigerians doing wonderfully well expecially in IT industry and medical line. So if u are coming lower ur expectation, work hard and pray. |

LeRoyACCA: Good Day Guys!
Many thanks for all those that have been updating this thread with valid information.
Please, I have some few queries and will like those that are in the finance/accounting field in UAE to please advise ME.
I'm a Chartered Accountant-ACCA-UK Member and also have passed CFA(US) level 1 and writing Level 11 CFA Exams by June'19 with more than 8 years relevant experience in Financial Modeling, ERP, Budgeting, Financial Planning & Analysis, etc.
Currently I' work as a Senior Financial Analyst here in Nigeria and make like..N500k per month. From my experience, it's really difficult for one to make above that without knowing someone (I might be wrong though).
Looking at coming to Dubai to job hunt and will like to know from those with local experience if its worth it and whats the best way to do go about it. I've had guys that have move from here and were lucky to find great jobs but all of them are in IT and not in Finance.
Any advice 'll be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
LeRoyACCA. Don't come to job hunt, is difficult they prefer philipnos and Indians to us Africa expecially Nigeria, you have a good salary in Nigeria, you can apply as u are in Nigeria and you take it from there, with all my BSc and Msc if u see d type of job I was doing before having my own personal Residence, so I suggest you stay back but if ur degree is UK u have a better chance of landing that dream job. |

For an African female to get a job is difficult but they do get, when I came the Cameroonian girl that was searching job with me got a good job 350k job, she is not a graduate but the company employed her as sales rep because she speak French and English fluently, mine was in a Car company pay 200k but the job was so stressful, now am about changing job to a less stressful job but same salary, is difficult to get job but if u are determine u will get, some of the job for u can easily get as female is sales girl in a mall, cashier I have like 2 female friend that work as cashier, waitress also but they always prefer Asia nationality, don't lose hope, go to walk in interview if u are waiting for them to call u for interview is normally difficult. |

Mille: Obviously, you have never travelled out nor even experienced life in Germany, else you wouldn't tell him to come to Germany on a student visa.
One thing I can tell Op is that, if you ever come to Germany on a student visa, forget about that amount you send home monthly. Also forget about bringing your family, else they are going to be a very big big liability. The way some people argue eeh, if he goes to Germany with student visa probably for msc within 2 years he is done, he has the option of getting job and staying back, when everything start working fine he now bring his family and like this he stays legal in Germany, who tell u he will start sending big money back home when he comes to Germany, he need a place to stay legal and work, u think is easy to stay illegal at another man's country. |

Sicilyjoe: Sometimes it happens, if ur trusted friend is not in the room u have to go to bathroom with ur important things like money and papers, some of us usually have small bag we put our important things, we took to work and come back with and even to church, no one can be trusted, no CCTV inside room , even valid international passport and visa can cost up-to or more than 500k in naira if stolen, so u have to guard ur papers very well My dear don't tell a lie to paint dubai bad. They don't normally steal in bed space because they live like family and 15 persons in one room is lie too highest I have seen is 8, even in places like Sharjah they might be just 4, equally they do have sex in bed space, we know dubai is not easy but don't over paint it bad. |

Awesomefoodie: Is it true that some agents usually seize someone's passport and force them into prostitution, and is it also true that some house help turn into black sex slave to their employer I can't category answer you for sure on this because I heard about it but have not seen, most people I have seen into prostitution know what they are coming to do. Also some don't because some agent will promise them job and when they come they will put them into prostitution but most time the agent will sponsor all thier travel cost from visa to ticket. For the second question I have heard that one too, it happens also. |

Awesomefoodie: thanks for the info. He says the agent has helped someone else that he knows but on a different package which was more expensive than the one he's offering him, that was why I decided to ask through this forum. The price for Direct employment depends on the type of job, the person doing it and the salary of the job. Good salary job cost more, equally better job like hotel, sales job in mall etc cost more to process. So that is it my friend. |

Awesomefoodie: An agent in Dubai helped my friend who is still in Nigeria get a job in Dubai as a cleaner with 1300 dirhams and accommodation, but say he should pay 550 which covers processing, 2 years Visa and ticket. He is expected to pay half first then the balance when he receives the Visa. Pls guys is this real or fake? No body will tell you if ur agent is real or fake, is only you that knows him and know if he is trustworthy, so for ur info everything he said is in order, cleaner job can be gotten through direct employment and 550k is good price, 1300 aed is equally good for no experience cleaner in uae, so everything depends on how well u know d agent. Because scammers are everywhere here. |
