Keep playing the ostrich about Fayose in 2014. Keep on deluding yourself.

What happened to the Jonathan reforms when elections were carried out in 2019.

Presidential
Kano
Kogi
Bayelsa
Osun
Etc Etc

How many of them did the Supreme Court overturn?

Were you not crying profusely about rigging when the above elections took place?

Jonathan reforms indeed!

The major thing giving PDP a lifeline in this country is the factionalization of APC

Caused by non other than Muhammadu Buhari.
The I don't care party leader.
If you're sensible, you should have asked yourself if Buhari allowed Jonathan's reforms to be implemented in 2019 election. He didn't allow it because he wanted to win by rigging. We saw how transmission of Edo gubernatorial election results to INEC server from the polling units stopped the rigging by the APC.

You're the one who deluded yourself with pathological lies. I asked you to bring the evidence that Fayose arrested the opposition party members prior to the 2014 Ekiti State gubernatorial election, yet you failed to do so.

In the 2019 presidential election, the PDP won in all those states you enumerated above. However, the results transmitted directly to INEC server from polling units were not declared by the INEC. Rather, they manufactured another results. We saw how the former CJN was removed unjustly because Buhari knew that his rigging would be upturned by the court and foisted his stooge, the aeroplane "driver" CJN on the Supreme Court. We saw how the PDP was winning in Kano State gubernatorial election until the APC declared it inconclusive as they did in Osun State. We saw how the rerun was marred with electoral violence, daylight outrageous rigging as the APC did in Osun State too. We saw how Tinubu used thugs to disenfranchise Igbo voters in Lagos. We saw how the recently conducted Kogi State gubernatorial election was marred with electoral violence, rigging and wanton destruction of lives by the APC.

In the 2019 presidential election, the card readers were deliberately discarded and unused in the North, while its strict use in the South was ordered by the INEC. This singular act made underaged Northern voters vote for Buhari unlike in the South where the INEC deliberately stopped that. So, hide yourself in shame.

You wanted the APC to win the Edo State gubernatorial election even when the Federal Government led by Buhari has plunged Nigerians into untold hardship and suffering. Receive sense.

What electoral reforms?

Like the elections in Rivers 2015? The deadliest election in our history?

Or was it Delta and Akwa Ibom?

The same Ekiti were Fayose went berserk and arrested every opposition party members and spent billions to muscle his way?

You must have been hibernating in a hole.

APC cannot be practicing change while PDP is still cutting corners and sharing money.
Is that what you want?
Don't blame you though, I blame that Presidnet they have in APC.
Sitting there like a statue and forming non interference while his opponents are bribing and cheating to win elections.

Do you know how much PDP shared on Saturday in Edo?

Siddon there make pant dey wear you.

Whom are you fooling?
Electoral reforms brought by Jonathan are card readers and INEC server which is used for the transmission of election results from the polling units. These two reforms make rigging hard to be carried out. We saw how the card readers were destroyed in Ondo State recently during the deliberate burning of the INEC state headquarters there, just to pave the way for rigging.

I pity your ignorance. Tell us how much the PDP shared on Saturday. After all, the inhabitants confirmed that it was the APC that shared N5000.

The 2015 Rivers State election became bloody courtesy of Amaechi just as he did in 2015. Don't just think that I'm ignorant of what happened there in 2015 like you.

Even Delta and Akwa Ibom were having peaceful elections until the APC brought mayhem into it. It wasn't caused by the PDP, because these states were and are still PDP states.

Show us the news where Fayose arrested every opposition member in Ekiti State during or prior to the election or shut up. Ekiti people rejected Fayemi, and he congratulated Fayose after that free and fair election. Everyone knows that Fayose is more popular than Fayemi, and that he's a grassroots politician. Even the recent election that Fayemi won was rigged. We all saw how Buhari used federal might in Ekiti State to stop a free and fair election. Ekiti has always been a PDP state.

Siddon there dey yarn okpete like a bra.in-dead man.

The bolded is a myth by you wailers to paint Buhari like the worst President in the world.

It is a lie from the very depth of the pit of hell.

-Looting
-Embezzlement
-Money laundering
-Electoral malpractice
-Bribery

These are all a million times worse than nepotism.
All those evils you enumerated above have their roots in nepotism. So, they're not worse than nepotism. We all heard how the late Isa Funtua dipped his hands deep into the coffers of the CBN and got dollars at any rate he deemed fit. He then sold it on the black market at a higher rate.

He was also awarded a contract for parking lot construction to the tune of millions of Naira.

These are just tips of the iceberg. It was nepotism that caused this corruption by this man. The list is endless.

So, stop defending Buhari's nepotism by saying that it's not worse than those evils you listed above.

And by the way; others before him rigged so why wouldn't he?
And pls don't tell me about change; any party doing "change" with a party like PDP is dumb.
Your sense of reasoning is flawed. Were the Kogi, Osun, Ekiti, Kano, etc elections not rigged by the APC?

Jonathan allowed free and fair elections in Anambra, Ekiti, Ondo and even in the 2019 general elections, but Buhari came and destroyed all the electoral reforms made by Jonathan.

Buhari also rigged the 2019 presidential election. The presidential election results were transmitted to the INEC server, but he colluded with the INEC chairman to deny that. However, the same INEC chairman also used the same server he denied its usage in the 2019 presidential election, to transmit results of the just concluded Edo State election.

People want Nigeria to be better, but you're the one who prefers election rigging to free and fair elections on the basis that others before him did it. Did Buhari not promise a change? I can say that the PDP-led administrations were better than the APC's. Hide yourself in shame!

Ordinary visa ban is too trivial to stop a desperate Nigerian politician from grabbing power & getting his hands in the public treasury.
Is the US the only country on earth?

God bless President Buhari for giving us the freest, fairest, most peaceful & transparent election since return to democracy.

Congratulations to Obaseki & the PDP.

Truly Edo is not Lagos.
Buhari wasn't responsible for the free and fair election in Edo State. The visa ban did the magic.

Everyone knows that the US, the UK and the EU have the best medical facilities in the world. If the US bans them, automatically these other Western countries may follow suit. So, Buhari was even afraid that the visa ban might get to him.

Also, it's a dent on his image that he benefitted from a free and fair election, but cannot guarantee it. Even his speech to the North Eastern states governors recently that he could have used the security agencies to prevent the opposition from winning elections had negated your point that it was Buhari who willingly allowed a free and fair election in Edo State. Of course, these Western world powers heard that speech.

Therefore, he was afraid that he might be their target if he failed to do the right thing.

Besides, this wasn't the freest, fairest and most credible election since the return to democracy. The 2009 Anambra gubernatorial election was the freest, fairest, most credible and rancour-free since the return to democracy. There was no ballot box snatching and even vote buying didn't take place. And Peter Obi emerged victorious. People listened to Ojukwu when he campaigned that Peter Obi was the credible candidate he could vouch for.

Bros, sentiments apart and am of the opinion Obaseki will not be swear in by Nov 12 or so.
My reasons are these;

HE PRESENTED A PHOTOCOPY RESULT WHILE CONTESTING IN 2016 DIFFRENT FROM THAT HE PRESENTED IN 2020...in 2016,he claimed to had graduated in 1976 and sworn an oath to it, but the result showed otherwise that he graduated 1979.the one he presented 2020 was signed by only VC ,while the one presented in 2016 was signed by the VC and the registrer
He had issues with his NYSC certificate ,Obaseki was spelled as Obasek, foolishly for him he went to correct the mistake in 2020 and 2020 was the year on the current NYSC certificate he presented.before the eyes of the law,it shows he graduated 2020....
Make una nor too de happy, many of una go hang una self in about a month time....I de look.
You're not a good analyst. Obaseki later presented his WAEC certificate. Besides, the NYSC accepted that the error was their own fault. Also, since he submitted a WAEC certificate, the NYSC discharge certificate is no longer binding on him.

He has. Tell us rationale behind him getting admitted into UI with 3 credits without math and English. He once said he used HNC which he couldn't provide.

UI has a serious case to answer, I'm sure you know how this will affect Obaseki
Higher school certificate is A-level. So, English and Math are not included, except they're your core subjects. For instance, a student desirous of studying Medicine will sit for biology, chemistry and physics only in A-level. That's how it's done.

Besides, UI wouldn't have offered him admission without the requisite certificates. So, stop writing what you don't know.

Moreover, he did present O-level to the INEC as his school qualification. So, if the APC goes to court, it's still his O-level that will be the point of litigation, and he has no problem in that.

A problem can only arise if his deputy has a certificate issue.

We in the diaspora are watching from afar the repercussion of this election in the lives of Common masses in Edo state...and Nigeria at large...
From the history of Nigeria politics, Naija governors usually put their best feet forward....they will do well in their first tenure so that they can appeal to the sympathy and conscience of their people to vote second in the second tenure....now that Obaseki has little or nothing to show in his first tenure, I wonder what he will do in the second tenure knowing fully well that he doesn't need your vote again...
A lot of money has been expended for this political competition and somebody somewhere have sown his time, energy, resources waiting patiently to be rewarded and be paid back for the job well done and delivered.

Someone just won an election because he came up with a political slogan, "/Edo no be lagos " not that he has done goodly to deserve another term....naija is doomed. ....we are no more voting for candidate capacity and capability, we are only voting base on political cajolery and slogan....

Anyway, edo people, enjoy your evil days ahead and I wish you ixlxl...
You made a salient point when you wrote that the incumbent governors don't usually do well in second tenure. However, it's not true that Ize-Iyamu may be better. This is because Oshiomhole will dictate to him. He has to settle them, and by the time you know it, the state treasury will be depleted. Based on that, I believe that Obaseki is a better devil.

you have some points but still, it is a general law of human politics, the loyalty of the people lies in their welfare. If the masses are suffering, they will change their loyalty. PDP enjoyed so much loyalty and became so formidable to the point they were boasting they will rule Nigeria for 100 years, but where are they today? When they suffered the welfare of the masses, the masses switched their loyalty. Same thing will happen to Buhari APC regime if they continue their wickedness. All the aboki for my area in Lagos, in 2015, na Sai Baba dem dey take greet themselves. Today, nobody among them is saying Sai Baba again. Na curse dem dey curse am, cuz they are suffering and feeling the pain of misgovernance too.
Truth be told, Buhari isn't a major determinant of who wins the presidential election in 2023. Atiku defeated him, but he rigged himself in.

The INEC denied that a server was used to collect the election results of the 2019 presidential election. However, we can see that this Edo Governorship election results were uploaded to its server from the polling units.

I still maintain that Buhari didn't win the 2019 presidential election. So, he has no huge following like he had prior to the 2014 election.

He has been tested, but he's unreliable. He's a collosal failure!
