Good day all, any link on FPI inflow/outflow? Nothing much seems to be said about the economic growth and Nigerian business environment during this administration.

I suppose it's not exactly what you asked but it's insightful too.

Why pay through warrants when you paid previous years dividends via edividend mandates ? Something fishy there. How many investors will visit their office, you think everybody lives in Lagos?
That's strange then. Did you draw their attention to the this? What was the response? My dealings with them has always been smooth. Please call them to sort this out. Count 1 to 20 before calling and make sure you smile throughout grin (you won't be able to raise your voice cheesy )

Guys I have been chasing my unpaid dividend with first registrars for many months now despite attesting to the fact that they have received all necessary documents from me.. last time I contacted them in early Aug they said it would "soon" be paid ... What avenue is available to investors to escalate such matters ? SEC? pls advise
You can chat them up (they have an online chat service) or call them. You mean you last contacted in August? Call them. They have never failed to attend to my queries. Like my Yoruba brothers will say "Pe iya won" (call their mama) grin cheesy grin

I have them on my BUY list but at about N5 and N1.08 respectively. Now I have shifted to N5.14 and N1.15 respectively. Unfortunately, it seems both ain't coming back cryto that junction (higher lows). Running out of patience. A decision will be taken in the coming days

no sir.should be 200dma 1.21

50dma 1.31
Okay. Thanks.

Generally, prices don't look like they will fall to previous lows. We might be seeing higher lows in the couple of days. As it stands, I don't think I'll see FBN at N5.14, Transcorp at N1.16 as we move into Q3 earnings season.
I sincerely pray I'm wrong but fast losing patience cry

NOT a buy or sell recommendation. DD advised.

I'm actually more interested in an outcome that would favour the minority shareholders. I'm not sure which outcome favours them either grin Wale loses or wins? huh At the same time, I am disappointed in his contenders. They don't seem to have done their DD properly hence the reason it was easy for SEC to arrive at the decision to allow the AGM hold. More like their arguments didn't hold on technical grounds. Mangal acquired shares surreptitiously thereby flouting a rule (don't know which now). Wale claims he should have declared it and then demanded for accounts clarification if he needed one. The other guy just be like the rest of us now. Na container of shares him carry but them no sabi am for the company grin cheesy grin

In all, it's a good development for us all. More revelations of dealings expected in the coming weeks.

Disclaimer: I don't own Oando shares

Mr. Anthony, I know you follow this thread and this is where you saw my post for the purchase of C & I Leasing at N1.20. We both agreed 1.22 and later you told me I should its now 1.30 I still agree and you said you can only do 500,000 units which we valued at 650,000. I raised that 650,000 and called you yesternight, only for you to tell me to pay 1.50 per unit.

Mr Anthony you disappointed me ooo
Shey you lost his contact details ni? cheesy grin

Anyway, N1.50 is still a bargain since you said it's going to N4.

Still patiently waiting for the FBNH bus too. Already up 9% from recent low of N5.14. Not sure it will fall to N4.70 - 5.05 again o huh

From Nairametrics, the affected banks are likely Skye, Unity, Union and Diamond Bank.
I don't think is something to worry too much about, every year, this kind of story comes up and in the end not much happens.

https://nairametrics.com/mpc-members-signal-some-banks-may-facing-capital-and-liquidity-challenges/
The four banks together are equal to one SIB. Diamond bank is an SIB. My guess: Heritage bank, Unity bank, Keystone bank and FCMB huh

NSE SERIOUSLY LOOKING FOR SHORT TERM REVERSAL
With the NSE ASI falling in price and indicator (e.g MACD-Histogram) not following what price is saying, there is a high likelihood to witness reversal to the upside in the coming days...

Likely to be short lived as this is found on daily while long term view is still searching for bottom...

PLAN YOUR TRADES AND TRADE YOUR PLANS
grin grin grin grin grin
I would have loved to know the ASI close for yesterday, EX- dangcem. Dangcem gained c.3% which can lead to a distortion of the ASI true gain. The stock is overweight in the index.

OBAGADAFFI:
Well, some registers got just single day closing date i.e 21st, while others got a window days of closing dates i.e 21st to 25th.

For single dates the register is updated the day after closure, i.e 22nd

For multiple the register is updated after the last day i.e 26th

Meaning if you enter within those closing date 21st to 25th you will get dividend payment .
Your deduction is the problem. You won't get dividend payment because you can't even enter a register when it is closed. Imagine submitting an application after a closure date and expecting to be considered.

For corporate action purposes, there's a Qualification date which the day preceding the closure date. You can enter on that date if you wish to be a beneficiary of the dividend or bonus. Example: for the single day closure, you must enter on the 20th.
