You are very right. It is a very hard thing to remove emotion from your investment especially when you feel you have done due diligence. But in NSE, the reverse is the case. It is like reading the step of a mad man as said by our dexter .
Hmm, what a guy! I wonder if he "reincarnated" as Deruggedprof grin

Its clear you are just beefing the stock. When you are don ecomparing the Half year result of DF with those low performance stocks listed above, we will talk.

Gracias
Don't take opinions shared personal bros. You shouldn't consider every unfavourable post as an attack from an enemy. The enemy is your finger that presses SELL or BUY due to impatience. You will win with DF if you bought before the rally started. I suppose your investment plan is medium to long term.

Disclosure: I have taken profit already based on my investment plan.

I'm not understanding Stanbic...are they going to pay N2 Interim grin
I think they pay more than the traditional 25k paid by the likes of GT and Zenith. Not sure, but I think have seen a high figure as interim in the past.

Ah ah, may be it is because they are police. lol.
Honestly, I dont know if that is acceptable or not in accounting as I am not an accountant. The accountants in the house can help us out.
If I could hazard a guess, I'd say it is acceptable though not ideal. Companies may chose to defer payable tax. In this case, NPFMFB chooses to defer it's tax obligations till the final quarter. Also, tax quoted in unaudited quarterly results may not correlate to year end tax payable. There may be over-payment or under-payment in the quarterlies. In fact, a company may underpay tax in the quarter to make margins look good until the result is audited.

I am not confrontational so I get upset with myself when I do. In fact, I'd rather just read posts and make occasional comments but No, not in this case.
Everyone is quick to tackle Peterichy here but the dude is not here to mislead. My opinion is that he thinks himself to be infallible even though we have seen him fail in his predictions. Unfortunately, he doesn't admit it when he does. I'm comfortable leaving the #FFC with Peterichy than the 'Evans/Costain' gang. This thread is "Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick"

@EmmanuelEwumi; I still recollect your posts on the Abayomi of Stockwatch ( a man I feel has a sincerity of purpose but forgot there will always be unknowns). I liken Myjoy to Abayomi. Do you get the point?

I am sorry for all my rants. I feel so much relieved now. cheesy grin cheesy

So, to you, my not reading everything written here makes me lazy? Bicos you think I have infinite time to browse nsempa?
You really are very angry.

So pls if your fingers were burnt in fcmb, take it calmly and next time learn to put the caveat yourself b4 you consume a recommendation, if the recommender fails to do so.
shocked shocked shocked shocked I enjoy posts from this moniker because they make a lot of sense to me and on some occasions share his sentiments too. The previous post and especially the bolded in this post fall below the standards you are known for. Why?

* You don't try to adjudicate on a matter you don't have sufficient information about. If you haven't been reading all posts (especially Loco's posts), how then do you know what the bone of contention is? It's not because he isn't telling when buying or selling.

locodemy:
i am telling you now because i will still use any way to sell mine . The pattern to use to dump stocks are confusing, afterall analysts, brokers and players are also involved in this act .pls note it now.
I'm personally irritated by the deception employed by this guy and if you think it's about getting fingers burnt, I can only smile grin

The information reaching me this afternoon from Radio Obinja 92.5 FM.
Fcmb faithfuls, sit thight and dont panic for we have a very good result for you.
Seems the bids will increase before market ends today.
You only have to go through his posts to understand the pattern of lies, deception, manipulation, guile, fakery and cunningness this guy uses. He terms this WISDOM. He has been allowed to blossom and flourish here because he is actually smoother than the 'Evans' guy and many that came after him. I am an engineer by training, so I am inclined to observe and follow patterns when I receive an unexpected signal. I don't dig through all posts grin cheesy No infinite time too cheesy

Do we know when/what Fxuser and Bullbearmarket are buying and selling? Are we miffed? NO! No one announces what he/she is buying or selling except you have taken/exited your position.

Lastly, I move the motion to expunge 'BNSITL' from NSEMPA cheesy cheesy The spirit behind that has long been exorcised from this group. NSEMPA has been reduced to this? I hereby move a motion to discontinue the use of BNSITL grin cheesy A forum where members make unsubstantiated/unverifiable comments/predictions as facts and when they turn out false, they lack the honour to tender an apology. They could easily have avoided this scenerio had they included a disclaimer or stayed in the realm of probabilities....an attribute of wisdom. But nah! Spirits and voices have taken over.

My take on this Tier 2 banks especially the family controlled once like Diamond and FCMB is that CBN needs to take it from them and merge them or allow experienced technocrats manage them.

Where father is leaving and hands over to the son, should be discouraged.
Easier said than done. Who wouldn't want his heir to take over his business some day? Son was groomed over time for this purpose. I get your point though. However, all banks don't have to be on the same tier. Big, medium and small banks all have a role to play. The big banks were once small. grin

Dont compare the 2nd quarter result with 1st quarter but compare with 2nd quarter previous year.

So far results released by Dangflour has shown continued improvement hence my submission. We don't know what the future holds but can only speculate based on what we have (released results).

@Loco, this your advice get as e be o. What if he sold now, having waited for that long and he cant get it back at cheaper price again? The ball is in his court anyway.
He should not sell but patience is needed here. No harm in increasing holding if price falls. The growth trajectory is good.

Disclaimer: My opinion..... it could be misleading. Please consult your investment adviser. cheesy

Is Dangflour result fair?
Very fair but getting more excited than Mr Market will only land one in trouble. A few more quarterly results still needed to convince the market. Investment horizon should be long to reap the good of Dangflour.

But why is dangflour not active like others good fundamental stocks here? Just tied down my funds and kept dancing round round! undecided
If I may, I'd say Dangflour ain't going no where until more results are released (hopefully this Q2 will assure the market) or Dangsugar rallies. Any of these conditions may ignite the much awaited rally.

I could be wrong.

I don't understand the fuss over transcorp. 3.87k is poor na
Typical of this stock. However, consider that the company reported improved margins yoy aside the uptick in revenues too. Looking at the margins again, you would realise the power segment is the main driver making up for the lull in the hospitality segment during the Abuja airport closure. Historical, the hospitality segment was the main cash cow of the group before TUP joined the group. Margins are expected to improve further over the next quarters (usually stronger for the hotel segment). Going forward, the power segment will determine the price valuation. The market considers Power investment an invaluable asset. Same reason the market won't price FO in the same league as MRS (all things being equal).

Cons: non-controlling interest ish
Unpredictability of uncle Tony
Large OS
Power and regulatory issues in Naija

Disclaimer: Remains my personal opinion. I also hold JIJO positions here.

Not sure you understand what exceptional items signify o. In street terms, it's an entry used to 'handle' you the minority shareholder. More like 'the more you look, the less you see'.

This is not a BUY or SELL recommendation and doesn't represent my opinion on UBA. Just adding my two cents on the 'exceptional items' discourse.
