It is said that "Your vote is your power". Even if all of us in this forum vote for Ribadu, he will not win the election expecially in this country of ours with incubent power. So why wasting your only vote, be  smart guyz!

Politics › Re: Igbo Group Berates Bianca’s Appointment by manosteel(m): 9:22pm On Feb 03, 2011
I think it is high time someone declared this debate "No Winner No Vanquish". The man Ojukwu is one of the most misunderstood men in the history of our country, loved by many, and hated by many. When ever his name is mentioned, there is always a sentiment and controversy. He wrote a book, ''Because I'm involved", and that is exactly what we are seeing here.
Politics › Re: Gbogbo’s Men Threaten To Kill Nigerians by manosteel(m): 10:50pm On Feb 02, 2011
Sierea lone did it, and went away with it. The same thing applies to Liberia by CharlseTaylor whom we later bought to Nigeria, housed him, clothed him and fed him with our cocoa yam and plantain. This time around, if Gbagbo and his men try it, and our own GEJ decides to go to sleep, i will personally declare war againt Ivory coast, and the later will be worse than the beginning.
Politics › Re: Igbo Group Berates Bianca’s Appointment by manosteel(m): 10:34pm On Feb 02, 2011
Anyway, for some of us who think that Bianca is not qaulified for the post without a proof, let it be known to you that she, Bianca was a former beauty queen. To win such a competition is not a mere feat, it comprises of so many things which include ones composure, intellectualism etc. secondly, she is a graduate, and a daughter of a former state governor, so she is not completely ignorant about the politics of a state house. Finally, She is married to a great man, the Ikemba of Nnewi. As a wife, she has been priviledge to receive many former and serving head of state to her home, and the recent among them is Dr Goodluck Jonathan, not to mention of state governors, senators, ambassadors etc, who are regular guest to her home. If you ask me, i think such a person who has been expose to such a high level meeting and contacts, is qualified enough for the job. One need not to go to National Institute for Policies and Strategies Studies NIPSS, to study special adviser on diaspora in order for one to be qualified.
Politics › Re: Igbo Group Berates Bianca’s Appointment by manosteel(m): 10:08am On Feb 01, 2011
The appointment itself is not bad, it's just that Indigbo have great love and respect for this man Ojukwu. In the late 1960, when Gowon and his colleagues were busy fighting for power, Ojukwu was fighting for freedom and territory. By and large, both of them got that which they were fighting for. Gowon got the power and lost the territory while Ojukwu lost power but he got his terittory. Take a look on what is happening in the north, today, Gowon has no place to stay in Jos as a of result crises. The story is not different from what is happening in Bauchi, Maiduguri, sokoto etc. kano and Kaduna have had their own share in time past, and still remain a volatile and hotspot area. Without mincing words, no aboki will dare try such a thing in any of the eastern state of the federation. Christain and Muslim live peacefully in the east, and go about their normal bussiness without any fear of reprisal attack; I think this is good enough.
Politics › Re: Hon. Chinua Achebe And Nobel Prize Committee: The Brewing And Unending Cold War by manosteel(m): 12:39am On Nov 12, 2010
In my opinion, if Nobel prize is all about intellectualism, Chinua Achebe would have won it at one time or the other. I have read many african novels, Things fall apart and Arrow of God still remain my favourite. The simplicity and clarity of his writtings endear him to many. How can i forget Okonkwo in Things fall apart. While i was much more younger, i used to be almost moved to tears whenever i remembered the dealth of young Ikemefuna in things fall apart. His stories look so real and can easily be related to every African eviroment.
Sports › Re: Adeboye Predicts Brighter Days For Nigerian Sports ! by manosteel(m): 8:01pm On Nov 10, 2010
I have noticed with utter dismay that when ever issue is raised about a man of God, many will stood instinctively as if bitten by black ant, to lash their tongues and to pour venom on the man of God. It was not different when pastor W.F Kumuyi, Pastor Cris Oyakhilome, Pastor Cris Okotie, a Reverend Father from Abia state etc, was mentioned here. We should not be ignorant of devices of the devil who will do everything to blaspheme and to rubbish the name of men of God, and If need be, he would use unsuspecting human for their own destruction to accomplish this. In the scripture, there were many who rose against the men of God or spoke against them, many of them never lived to tell the story, while some did but had a bitter story to tell. In Exedus 12: 1-10, Miriam spoke against Moses the man of God, and she became a leper. In Numbers 16: 1-35, Korah and Abiram despised moses, and ground opened its mouth and swallowed them. In 2kings 2:23-24, a she bear came out from the bush and devoured 42 children for mocking Elisha the prophet of God. It is also true that men of God are human being like us, with flesh and blood. They are not infallible, they also have their own short-commings too but God is the ultimate judge and he is powerful enough to fight for himself.

Politics › Re: Aftermath Of Bombings: Isreal Bans Flights To Nigeria * 28,000 Pilgrims Stranded by manosteel(m): 9:41am On Oct 19, 2010
Isreal can go to hell with their ban. Their planes fly to USA, UK, France, Germany etc on daily bases, yet those countries have more bomb threat from deadly terrorists like Al-shabab of Sumalia, Taliban of Afghanistan, etc than Nigeria. Have they stopped their planes from flying to those countries?
Politics › Re: Kidnapping: Soldiers Arrest Reverend Father by manosteel(m): 9:17am On Oct 19, 2010
From what i can see, the only offence this man commited was that the kidnappers had their check point close to his church and that they sourced their water from the bore hole in his church. Does that make him a kidnapper? What about the church members who had to pass through those check points to attend church services, aren't they kidnappers? We all know how dangerous these guys are, even in the village were they operate, the villagers cannot speak because, no one can deliver them from the kidnappers wrath. Once you are suspected to be an informant, you are gone.

@superboi, i welcome your criticism and i like people like you who are quick to point out other people's faults but turns a blind eye to their own shortcomings. Kindly check your post, you will discover that it is full of grammatical errors. Just to mention few of them: "his spelling ARE" (is), "you WE RELISE that"(will realize/realise that) etc. I also think that you need to work on your punctuation marks too.
Politics › Re: What Is Aljazeera's Mission In Nigeria? by manosteel(m): 6:53pm On Oct 11, 2010
@9nijaman, thanks for your comment. Perhaps you are seeing the words for the first time, Mid-east simply means Midle east or east central,  which includes all the gulf countries, just as we have far east countries and near east countries. Kindly consult your english dictionary and your Atlas map. If you really understood my post, you will realize that i acknowledged the fact that we have our problems but not completely as bad as we are being portrayed. I quite i agree with elshami. Aljazeera is based in Qatar and being funded by Qatar goverment. You will never hear any negative report about Qatar. Does it mean that the country has a 100% crime free society?
Politics › Re: What Is Aljazeera's Mission In Nigeria? by manosteel(m): 8:01pm On Oct 10, 2010
I live in the Midle East, with no apology, i must say that Adjazeera is a terrorist network, a mouth piece of Hamas, Taliban, Osama Bin-ladin etc. Many has been radicalized by what they put on air. There are many positive things happening in Nigeria but Adjazeera has never for ones presented any of these or portrayed Nigeria positively on air. All they show about Nigeria are Poverty, Killing, Communal and religious crisis, corruption, fraudstars, political instability etc. We are not completely as bad as they are portraying us. Think of  it, the Abuja bomb exploded right infront of Aljazeera camera, was it a coincidence? I stand to be corrected.
Politics › Re: Gej Should Declare A State Of Emergency In Abia State (aba): by manosteel(m): 7:53pm On Sep 28, 2010
When the wise and the righteous refuse to come out to vote and to be voted for, the fools and the wicked will do, and when they get there, they will make wicked foolish laws that will be obeyed by all including the wise. Abia was ruled by one Kalu and his mother, he handed over to another Kalu. Hopefully, by 2011, we are expecting to have another Kalu, and the end will be worse than the beggining.

That is it! That is where the main money is. Just get to know someone up there, get a political appointment and you are already there to start your own looting. Though this man is highly educated, a student of law, but not educated enough to know that stealing and looting are crime against the nation and humanity. We are watching.
Politics › Re: Court Orders Arrest Of Police Ig, Onovo by manosteel(m): 10:05pm On Sep 07, 2010
This man Ogbona Onovo himself is a lawyer, with many degrees. The Judge might not know the law better than Onovo. Secondly, if all the law enforcement agencies like the police force, EFCC, Military, SSS, etc failed to arrest James Ibori with all the court orders, warrants, injunctions and counter injunctions, i don't see that happening now. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

This chidi self, you funny no be small! If the truth must be said, the fact is that this Mikel is not the same Mikel we all knew in 2005 Fifa U/20 youth championship, the guy who came out as overall second best player after Messi, who was described by fifa website then as a young man carrying  the head of an  adult, not forgetting how Jose Morhino and Alex Ferguson almost  exchanged blows while trying to lure Mikel to their Club. Was Mikel a defensive midfielder then, if not, what suddenly happened?

This is completely rubish. Every family has its own problems and challanges both high and mighty. The Obasanjos, Yaraduas,Abachas, Ojukwus, you can name it. 'Engr' i suggest you go home and sort your family problem and stop embarrasing yourself in the public. You said Dora had failed to change your family status, If you people are expecting her to loot public fund or to start awarding jumbo contracts to your family members so as to change your family status, Mba! that won't happen. She is there to serve all Nigerians and not just your family.
