Politics / Re: Insecurity- Obama Cancelled Visit To Nigeria by manosteel(m): 1:03pm On May 23, 2013
US just can't stop being hypocritical and can't stop amusing everyone with their lopsided foreign policies that weary everyone. Come to think of it, are Afghanistan and Pakistan safer than Nigeria? There are more deadly Taliban and Al-Qaida there than Nigeria and corrupt system as well yet they, Us are falling over themselves to go there to dine and have handshake with Karzai and Zardari.
Talking about killing Innocent civilians, Us Drone strikes have killed more people including women and children in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen.
5% of Us oil come from Nigeria still they valued other African countries than Nigeria. Considering this and the role Nigeria is playing in West Africa, they have no real justification to relegate Nigeria to the background, Infact Nigeria suppose to be their strategic partner in Africa.
I think it is high time our leaders started looking elsewhere to countries like China and Russia. History has shown us that this two countries will not abandon you even when others do.

Culture / Re: How Are You - Is It A Rude Form Of Greeting? by manosteel(m): 5:53pm On May 14, 2013
In English Language, 'How do you do' is a greeting and not a question. That is why it is wrong to end it with a question mark (?). So when you tell someone 'How do you do' the actual response also should be 'How do you do'. I believe the same rule applies to How are you.

Politics / Does Chinua Achebe Deserve To Be Honored In Death By Fed. Goverment. by manosteel(m): 4:51am On Mar 24, 2013
Arguably, Achebe remained one of the greatest writers that have threaded the African Shore, no doubt many were inspired by his works, including our own Chimanda Adiche. It is no news that few occasions, he was to be honored by Federal Goverment, He turned it down, citing Corruption, lack of basic infrastructures due to bad governance as his reason. The same reason that made Prof Wole Soyinka smashed his own award the Lagos street. Achebe believed in equal Justice and He strongly stood by it when He could have used His Influence, and dinned with goverment officials instead of criticising them. Do you think this man should be honored in death by the Federal Goverment of Nigeria.

Family / When You Are Moody Or Downcast, What Is It That Makes You Cheer Up? by manosteel(m): 4:40am On Mar 12, 2013
Sometimes, We found ourselves in a Moody condition or depressed, maybe as a result of family pressure, Work pressure, delayed expectations or inability to meet certain challenges. At this point, nothing seems to make you happy but somehow, there is something that does the magic and helps you brightens up. Someone will say "read your Bible or Koran and pray to God, you will be fine." For me, when I'm downcast, I hate reading the Bible or even praying to God because I'm not happy with everything. One thing that Makes me cheer up is Country Music. I feel better listening to country music at that point. What about you?

tomakint: I can assure you the steam APC is trying hard to gather now, would become lukewarm before the next Presidential elections, they are all bunch of clowns - the same naa niii!!! cool
I feel the same way. Greediness is what will tear them apart, there are lots of individuals interest in the merger. Okorocha from APGA, Buhari from CPC, then Tinubu and his boys from ACN, eyeing the sole socket, who will step down for the other, just hope they will prove all of us wrong.
