NwaAmaikpe:1. As far as am concerned, "El Chapo" is one of the most creative of his personal works that I have listened to. It is trending in Europe, top 4 on the bill-board chats in Nertherlands for starters 2. Some of you lot have myopic views. D'banj and Don Jazzy have chosen different paths. While Don Jazzy decided on the local captive market, D'Banj decided to go and slug it out global......and he is doing pretty much very well 3. Before you call someone a "failed Artist", I suggest you assess yourself....... If you're worthy to call someone "failed"......... |
seunO4:but he replied only this one....... ![]() I think a bigger lesson is that we should choose our words carefully, it is not necessary to volunteer opinion when you should know it will end up hurting the person. We should also not take on celebrities just for clicks.....they have lives to live and should be left to lead the path |
Zeze06:Sure, but I'll rather refer you to the right place........ Take a bus to Yaba, ask for "the place", it's on the left |
DEADALIVE:In as much as I try to ignore post that look ethnically-laced, this has some "strategic content", that is interesting.Shakingdbumbum: :I have read comments all along, to say the least you are a good Democrat who understand how to turn policies to favour his people. 1. State Universities, Polys and COEs can better serve their "indigenes" as to encourage catchment-enrollment......that is what the northerners have done, while we southerners have been "strategically asleep" 2. The cut-off is a ranking tho', not an absolute. So student will still need to do the work of clearing 3-4 hurdles (WAEC/NECO, Post UTME and Interview(s)) |
@OP, 1. There is nowhere in that report that says "reject" 2. Stop misinforming the public 3. The minimum cut-off benchmark was fixed by VCs, RSUST VC inclusive. 4. Each University can fix their cut-off marks provided it is not below 120. 5. This is what RSUST has done. |
Zeze06:Honestly not. I am simply appalled that you do not know the meaning of "welfare and humanitarian services"? makes me wonder.......you know.....you're level of intelligence, reasoning capacity.....and stuffs ![]() |
Zeze06:Welfare and humanitarian services? Do you know what you're talking about or you just chose to pick words and use loosely? Is the event about welfare and humanitarian services? |
femi4:Trust me, this is either the generous PMB or Madam PMB forced his hand. PMB that was once reputed to question the rationale behind giving millions to U17 boys, as they are teenagers and what will they be doing with millions instead of concentrating on their books |
jaxxy:Your point? You never get it do you? |
BroZuma:Your point betrays your incapability of reasoning clearly. You want them to "do something" and you do not see the interim forfeiture leading to a final forfeiture..... as something? You want her extradited for said crimes while she is yet to complete the pending prosecution in UK? You're yet to see the dividends of democracy, when the thief that plundered our treasury is found out and undergoing various prosecution. I guess your "dividends of democracy" is to revert back to the wanton pillage of our treasury...... Bros, you should be ashamed of your reasoning capabilities, because it's way inverted. |
gabbywatch77:Did you just wake up and decided to make a mockery of yourself? or is it that you're too young to come to a simple logical conclusion |
jaxxy:Oh! Like EFCC went to court with mere "hear say"? I thought interim forfeiture means if there is any other persons contesting the properties in question, they have a stipulated amount of time to come forward and say otherwise |
Cinkq:......you mean like the following people 1. American Govt 2. The British Authorities 3. The American Media - 4. the British Media for starters? |
Aragon:Honestly you beat me to this. I was about posting almost the same words, especially the underlinedateamblezing: :I looked at your pics after I read your comment and I am proud to say " Young, Beautiful and Smart!" It is this type of post I love to be Reading from our Youths who the Future belongs to, and it's people like you I should be dashing lil stuff here. Pls send me your number lemme give you a lil Airtime. |
ashjay001:...and this is additional lessons for proponents of "An Engineer must be minister of power". Prof. Barth Nnaji once professed that the problem of the power sector is not technical, rather Business and Legal blockadesSalamRushdie: :Not being economical, but, actually denying that false claim! |
juman:Bros, You know "Intellect-wise", you're not supposed to be here |
okooyinbo:Lagos and Edo State actually bidded for the License then, but were disqualified from the process |
udees:It did not make business and economic sense for states to go 100% into building and operating IPPs. This why we have many abandoned factories. What Lagos state has always done and still does is to partner with private players, so they investor funding will be more on the private side. |
vincent10:What reality? Rather we better thank our stars that we have a pragmatic, well rounded and cerebral, practical and experienced in Fashola as a leader overseeing our power sector. If it was in the hands of "politicians" we will have been "badly worsted" |
arinzeejikonye:I think we need to make something clear. NERC as of post GEJ's privatisation did not force GENCOs to put power to the grid. This is a big misconception. The reality is that investment in the grid is huge and no private player is willing at the moment, hence virtually everyone pushes to the grid. Secondly, the NERC regulation also made provision for "Embedded Power Generation". In other words, Discos and partner with other private players to generate and distribute power at a privately agreed price. That is why private coys are in conversations with residents of VGC, Lekki and Ikeja GRA for starters. That is why Lagos IPP and Disco have private arrangements with companies on the Island business district. Whoever that can shoulder the brunt of investment in private grids can do so. |
SalamRushdie:.....and you find it convenient not to include such clause in your submission? |
deomeelo:This has already been done with the prior privatisation. The only problem is that it was badly executed |
menxer:I think the law was misinterpreted up till this clarification from Fashola. I also don't think there is need to differ to National Assembly, the NERC Act is clear. What is needed is private grids which is another headache entirely. Who will invest in it is the big question? If the Disco does, CAPEX on that goes to customers sooner than laterBlue3k: :I don't think I understand your point. |
menxer:Tinubu was the first governor to be frustrated out of such ventures. When Tinubu's govt built AES barge [formerly Enron] in Ikorodu, It was upsetting that Lagosians hardly benefited from the investment. It was sent straight to the national grid and that was the end of it. Hence Tinubu's government stopped at the first phase of the project. When Fashola came in, he just concentrated the IPPs on off grid mode and fed areas of need directly (Govt infrastructures like Water-works, street lights , Hospitals and others). It was very difficult to send power to those that need them. One of the biggest undoing of the previous govt's BPE was to "politically" exclude states from bidding for licenses then. It just did not make sense. Some states like Lagos, Ogun, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Kaduna, Kano and Abuja had the borrowing capacity to have addressed all the infrastructure gaps the current Discos and Gencos are struggling at. They would have built private grid-lines faster and more sensibly these should have been one of the areas for state to generate revenues rather than the rent seeking mode. Lagos State bidded for both Lagos and Ikeja Disco and were disqualified from the shortlist, when there was nothing in the law that precluded them from doing so. This is what Fashola has come to correct. So Governor Ambode, your wish (3GW for Lagos) is coming to pass. Fire at will....... |
NwaAmaikpe:Purposeful people |
Why don't we all make educated and rational submissions, instead of senseless one induced by unnecessary anger 1. Where are the certified record that says this rice mill is the biggest in Africa? 2. When was this rice mill first built? What was the agreed feed? Which farms were supposed to supply rice to this mill? I want to believe the govt that built this rice mill did not just build without a linkage with farm(s) for supply 3. Which states did the Anambra and the operator of this mill sign bilateral agreement with? For those of you blaming PMB, it is just a crying shame that you have decided to sacrifice the little intelligence you have to embrace idiocy. This pictures show a dilapidated mill and not a new one. Which govt started it, you did not state. There was is a JOSON rice mill in Anambra, I guess, which I believe is Private sector driven. Is that not what your attention should be more focused on, that a somewhat ill-concieved project that many govts did not touch. Finally, I think people should be able to understand what should ideally be news as against hate-inciting statements. This news has no value and was just mean to incite hate. It seem when we get hate-filled, we abandon reasoning...... |
IamHopeful:That is why people like you hardly grow. Correction you won't take, you just continue to display crude ignorance . Don't worry on, on you I will take your advice |
IamHopeful:Instead of you to use google........ The United States Solicitor General is the person appointed to represent the federal government of the United States before the Supreme Court of the United States. The current Acting Solicitor General, Jeffrey Wall, took office on March 10, 2017. he United States Attorney General (A.G.) is the head of the United States Department of Justice per 28 U.S.C. § 503, concerned with legal affairs, and is the chief law enforcement officer and chief lawyer of the United States government. |
seguno2:You make me wonder if I am reading from a juvy....... 1. What is the essence of building model schools? Are you for real? You mean you do not understand that learning needs to be done under a befitting environment? Meanwhile are you just conjuring things up? Most children cannot go to school in Osun state? Expensive schools not monitored? Bros if you are going to lie, at least not at the expense of coming out looking ridiculous....... 2. Please give me the stats of those roaming the streets...... I would imagine that you do not know that school enrollment rate increased in Osun state since 2013 and as at this year Osun state has the highest enrollment rate and lowest out of school children. 3.Did Osun state tell you something happened to Opon Imo? Have you been told it stopped? 4. Re: Bailout - You are just being ignorant. The status of bailouts was independently verified by other sources, BudgetIT for starters. But what ridiculous question do you ask. A breakdown of what he gave himself? Abeg Bros, lay off what you're not competent to process cos you are turning this into a comic show |
Zeze06:@Zeze06, Records needs to be set straight ..... 1. Aregbesola just used the N5.3b Paris club refund he recently collected to clear most of the backlog of the half salaries. He was the first governor to publish how he spent the first tranche of the Paris club refund. 2. The issue of half salary is something the people twisted a lot and misunderstood. Levels 1-7 that constituted over 50% of the workforce received FULL salary, levels 8-12 received 75% and levels 13+ received half salary. This was a measure to manage the megre allocation from FG (a drop of over 60%). Painful as it is, it was a recommendation and agreement by the joint labour and government committee set up to look into how to manage the steep fall in monthly allocation due to fall in Oil price. 3. It is funny that an Aregbesola that made sure "something" was paid was among the most vilified while Govs that paid nothing like Fayose for almost a year is seen as a star. I just returned from Osogbo last month, and for me Aregbesola is more pragmatic in governance (his Model schools are a beauty to behold) than most of the governance. Sometime people need to go thru a period of pain before prosperity. I believe Osun state may be going thru theirs |
Masculity:Where will we be by now? We will still has been this backward. The same looters who will through crumbs at you under the guise of "spending portion or MOST of their loot within their community or state" will always come back into leadership, since logically they will keep substantial part of re-election. .....and the cycle continues Why should someone loot in the first place? Why should you even try to rationalise and process looting? What decent execuse can you adduse to looters' act? Like the ridiculous one you had up there - "what I mean is even if they are destined to loot, because they are very good in it" Please don't get your reasoning twisted. You do not need loots to put infrastructures in your communities. IT IS YOUR RIGHT. |
