Yes o, this is not the fault of the company, in this 21 century globalization where most people in other countries are working while others are sleeping, those that can produce 24 hours or almost will carry the day

But in almost all developed countries companies will always not want to pay you well. That's where the government comes in to protect the workers, but if the government is not even supporting infrastructures to make businesses maximize profit then the employees will suffer.

In Nigeria's strange situation where employees are so reluctant to come out in mass and say enough is enough. They should stop demonizing employers. The national cake is at Abuja , not VI and their likes.
but who will lead the protest for the employees? employers threatened you with the job saying "if you do not do it, others will do even for lower amount". that is my boss anthem for our junior staff. i do tell some of my colleague that if one or two persons start a protest i will gladly join in. it is so unfair.

The way it is in Nigeria today, I feel that anything less than mass revolution wony make a dent on the injustice we have going on. You will just end up as a scape goat.

Stop suffering in silence. I just completed my own service so I know what u are passing tru and I know u shudnt be passing tru it.

Drop this childish Aluta mindset and embrace reality. What Op is experiencing is how a typical work setting operate. He should drop the complaining and rebelious mindset and learn to conform to office rules.
there is nothing childish about. it is you knowing your right. your are calling it office rules? this was one of the things Nigerians endure and other rubbish that developed countries that know their rights don't do. like working late and the boss will be claiming it is the right thing to do (those ones collect pay for extra work) not here that the boss threatened with your job and you start shaking. it is wrong and the earlier you know your right the faster it will put in check all nonsense rules and aid our country development. work rules kor, work ofin ni?
if you know your rights, everything will work smoothly

i know someone that his boss sacked cos he refuse leading force men to go fight the community where their community is situated (cos he has friend in that community).
he was sacked and he took the company to court. now the company is paying him 40million naira. know your rights and stop enslaving yourselves

how much are they paying u?

I hope you are being paid upto 70k to take that kind of treatment from them.
Valfrankie:
How much do they pay?
Uceegal:
How much is the pay?
all of you are funny. it is not about the pay, it is all about your right as a Nigerian and as a corper. OP didn't your ZOnal Inspector tell you or send you to your PPA that the government has the right to call corpers as many times a week as they wish? you are for the government not for your PPA. if your Inspector did not tell you then i am telling you. it is just a normal thing. NYSC can call on the corpers 4days of the 5working days a week. and the PPA cannot complain cos the corpers are sent their to help them not to be misused by them.

before any of you ask wetin i know. i served in a private university and whenever the coordinator comes to check on us, he always remind the Registrar that we are govt children and they call us anytime any day and that we donot report to the school, we report to the govt.

OP you should go and report in the NYSC office unless you are wishing they should retain you there. but with the way things are going, your company may end up reporting you first and once they did that, you will have issues with your coordinator. just report them for awareness sake nothing more and NYSC will definitely send representative to speak with them.

you shouldn't suffer in silence. my one coin

for those of you that are saying i am childish with my comment, i was retained in the school. you don't have to take bullshit to work hard. if you want to work hard, you need only little supervision and you do your work well. not how far but how well. tongue

Business › Re: I Received N740 Thousand Naira In My Bank Account Instead Of N370 Thousand Naira by Mariojane(f): 2:19pm On Apr 12, 2016
Shigoboy:
My uncle who is in UK normally send money direct to my GTBANK through agent, about a month bank I was expecting some money from him which I later received, but to my greatest surprise, I received the alert twice and the amount was doubled, I ignored it hoping it was just an bank alert error, as time goes on, as I was making other transactions with the account extra N370 keeps reflecting, but the issue was the my account was restricted, on getting to bank to know why the restriction I was told I opened the account as a student account and their is a limit to amount I can't receive with it which is 500K and I've received more than that so I was asked to upgrade it to be active, as I write this message I still have the money in my account which I've only withdrawn 10K from it, I'm scared of bank issue, I don't want them to start dragging my boxer, it's a month now, guyz do you think they can still come for this money? I already have a plan for this money, I guess the error is from the agent that did the fund transfer not bank, I'm still wondering if that is my 2016 Promo.
if there is any error at all then the error is not from the bank. it is possible the agents paid in more money into your account.there is no line in your post that shows you called the agents or your uncle to confirm how much he paid in. but it is definitely not bank error. apart from he fact that banks don't joke with their money, i had a similar issue when i was told i am operating a students account and that i can't have more than 600k in my account unless i upgrade the account to give me access to any amount i wanted. all you need to do is go to bank and upgrade your account them call the agent or your uncle to ask how much he asked the agent to pay into your account.

Family › how can i get companies to read my application and invite me for job interview? by Mariojane(op):
I am graduate of History and International Studies. i graduated officially in April 2012 and i went for my NYSC November 2012 (Batch C) i was posted to a private University in Edo State where i was retained to work as an Administrative Officer after my service year.

for over a year now i have been applying for different positions within my workexperience to different establishments but still no SMS or email for interview invite is forth coming.

i had a discussion with a friend of mine yesterday and we were almost arguing over the same job issue. i tried explaining to him that i do submit atleast one application in a day and his reply was "application wey una dey submit wey nobody dey look am". i asked him, how do you want me to make them look at my application and atleast grant me an audience for interview. later that day, i was so disturbed i had to call a man who retired as a deputy Registrar from a Federal University to help me with somethings and his reply was "oh girl it is not as easy as you see it. even I with years of experience had to compete with lots of people to get the one i am doing now".
i am honestly confused .

NAIRALANDERs please how can i get companies to read my application and invite me for interview?

Altho it's true fayose has been collecting 1k from every private school student, but how sure are we dat is d reason y the school building shown was sealed. Coz left to me,that structure isn't befitting to be called a school structure, hence it's below the standard of being called a school. So d so called building meant for a school must have been sealed coz of oda glaring reasons asides d tax tn,except the op has an evidence oda Dan just showing us 'sealed' sticker on a building dat was not built to conform to a school building.
Moderators too should know what to bring to front page. Not every post should make front page.
you are kind of right to some extent but the truth is like u said,it may be for other reasons that the school was sealed.if the school was sealed cos of refusal to pay tax,it won't be sealed like that. They will use their ribbon nd use their own padlock. It is staff in nd organization that pay tax not students. The school may be using govt request to pay to levy the students without the govt knowing.
Politics › Re: Fayose Closing Down Private Schools In Ekiti by Mariojane(f): 10:33am On Apr 05, 2016
though i do not support fayose and his method of ruling, but the truth is, it is our right as Nigeria citizens to pay tax. it is their right to collect it. though it shouldn't have been fayose that will go about collecting tax. there are officials in place for such work. when i was serving in Edo state, the NYSC secretariat was locked down cos they were owing tax payment. last year, the Private School i am working in Benin was locked cos of this same tax issue until they were able to pay some certain amount. if you go to developed countries, they pay taxes. why should Nigeria own be different? and we will all want to run overseas or to a developed country that some people taxes has helped to maintain.I am certain the money the school are levying their students is actually supposed to be paid by the school to the govt not from the students to the govt. The schools are just using the govt excuse to levy the students cos they can't produce the money charged.

I am not Fayose fan in anyway so haters should face fronts nd see clearly

just in case,

i am a law abiding tax payer and i even have a valid card to prove it showing my TIN.

There was nothing like missing Chibok girls missing anywhere. It was just a political mischievous calculation to oust GEJ.

Even the whole of this stories, including these pictures here, are just the handiwork of APC media recruits.

How else can we explain that despite the numerous rescue missions and yet not a single chibok girl has been found.
I know that of course. I am just taunting the agents of change.
