He is honest candid and very desciplined. This is what Nigeria needs. A strong arm that will not condone all the inconsistencies and rascality in the polity.

Thanks! Its sad that most people don't see the wrong things they do but Americans have a lot of issues that they will have to address. I am not bashing them or anything, they have a strong economy, one of the best educational systems, but their foreign policy in my opinion is so messed up! They take it upon themselves to poke their heads into countries' affairs. Yet they wonder why some countries burn their flag on national TV during protestations.

It's a catch 22. They are damned if they do damned if they don't.
America being the worlds only superpower cannot but be involved in policies of other countries especially places where they have interests. It would be ridiculous to think otherwise. Now some foreign policy decisions might be misplaced but, that's another story.

If I could vote and we had the same candidates for president, then yes I would vote for him.

Honestly I don't know when Nigerians will wise up. Which generation will have the common sense to know that government and business usually don't mix well especially in 3rd world countries like Nigeria. Looks like we don't ever learn in this country. Consolidation of banks - complain, sell aluminum smelter co that hasn't produced any thing - complain, sell inept/incompentent/grossly inefficient NITEL - big complain. This is really crazy, especially when we see how privately run companies are thriving, providing services they are supposed to provide and at the same time making a profit.

Government has no business in running enterprises and it has been proven time and time again all over the world except in very few cases. Me I'm all for putting on the choping block all these so called govt run enterprises, every single one of them should be disposed off and stop wasting limited resources on them.

Complaints are to be expected. Some of these people get paid for doing absolutely nothing. They wouldn't want that to change. But change it will despite their complaints.

You guys are all blaming NLC & NNPC staff as if they were the alpha & omega, of all that went on within the oil industry. That is what the federal governmnt wants you guys to believe. They were bloody civil servants, if you must know, with little or no authority to go against instructions from above, despite all the technocrats they had in-house.

The truth is that the staff of the NNPC have never had a free hand to run the corporation, the proper way it should be done. I saw with my own 'koro koro' eyes in 1998, signed letters from Abuja, from the powers-that-be in Aso Rock, giving instructions to the MD of NNPC, about who he should sell certain allocations to, with immediate effect. I had gone on a visit to the corporation's HQ, to see a youth corper friend of mine. As she was leaving the office, she asked me to help her carry some files, so that she wouldn't have to walk up and down the staircase a 2nd time. Some of those files fell down. As we were packing them up. . . .ah, omo some of the things I saw made me open my mouth in shock!

So you are now suggesting that the refineries weren't mismanaged by the NNPC but by the "government"? Are you suggesting that the NNPC managers and directors weren't corrupt or stealing public funds meant for the upkeep of the refineries but were "instructed" to be corrupt and steal money by the government? Is this really what you are trying to suggest?

The real problem with Nigeria are Nigerians themselves. If we don't give bribes, will corruption be as rampant as it is?

Through its provision and disclosure of operation you can judge a book by its cover in this case. true people need to do their home work, but why do we have government in the 1st place?

What do you charge the book (so to speak) with. The ability to commit fraud? The likelyhood to commit fraud? The possibility to commit fraud? The government (CBN in this case) had warned people not to use this facilities. This is no longer the military era when government can simply do want it wants without fear.

Indeed, now that a crime has been committed (money has actually been stolen), the government can now move in and sanction the offending individuals. Government must follow the law. Now that these businesses may have started to dupe people, perhaps the government will now have support in making laws outlawing such companies.

You make fraud illegal but you cannot make it impossible. People have to use their brains when investing money.

How can a business be illegal and accused of fraud if it hasn't actually committed fraud yet?

Let me draw your attention to Seun's attempt to stop these kinds of businesses using nairaland as an advertisement platform. Read some of the replies of those against the ban in the thread. Experience is the best teacher as they say.

with velocity at 500mph (800kph=222m/s)
156,500kg x 222m/s

A boeing 707-320B is 151,300kg
with velocity at 600mph (960kph=266m/s)

=40,245,800kgm/s

So a Boeing 707 will collide with more momentum than a Boeing 767. Thereby, a Boeing 767 would have done less damage than Boeing 707 used for impact analysis. And since the analysis showed that a momentum of 40,245,800kgm/s could not make the WTC towers collapse, how then could 34,743,000kgm/s make it collapse? The building designers, architects and top engineers should go to jail since they lied.


Their NIST should stop dishing out conspiracy theories that don't hold water. It's annoying.


2. Then again, you have to realise that a boeing 767 did not hit the South Tower. It was a boeing 737. Find out yourself. The engine, the registration number, the photos were not of a boeing 767 yet the US government insists. Why are they trying to force people to agree to a lie?

that picture shows that every other tower had debris fall on it. Yet WTC 3, 4 5 or 6 caught fire and collapsed. And those where closer to the towers 1 and 2 than 7. 7 was the furthest out. Cmon.

Building 7 was also by far the tallest of those buildings. Building 6 was actually pulled down by fire fighters using cables. Those conspiracy websites won't tell you that either because it make their arguments about explosives redundant.
Building 7 had a large hole in it, approximated by 1 fire fighter to be about 20 stories tall. All fire fighters called in to Building 7 along with eyewitnesses on the SOUTH SIDE of the building said the building was making loud strange noises and was tilting. That is why they decided it was too dangerous to go in and simply pulled back.

Building 3 = 22 story building
Building 4 = 9 story building
Building 5 = 9 story building
Building 6 = 7 story building
Building 7 = 47 story building

All buildings suffered severe damage. building 3 was actually split in half.

Must the EFCC do everything? Even if they probe him and find nothing, people will say it is because OBJ is their master. Why can't the ICPC probe him? After all the Senate is the ICPC's master. So why aren't people calling for them to probe him?

That is also not true. The south side of the building received severe damage from falling debris which came from the collapsing WTC towers.

These aren't speculations, and you still haven't addressed the entire question fully.
take for example a burning house. when it starts to fail and fall apart, you can see it just wailing away and giving way, you can even see the chunks of materials used in building the house. 1.The WTC came apart as if a firework was launched from a particular floor.

WTC7 is not speculation, that is what happened, and WTC7 information wasn't well publicized in the news because of the scrutiny the government will receive as a result of it. There might be some speculation from what I've reported/asked, but they're surely vaid.

can you shed some light into this image and how it might relate to 911? afterall it is a tall building.
the plane is smaller than the plane that hit the WTC sure but imagine how long it would take the heat to circulate evenly to cause all the concrete to just collapse.

it is impossible for that whole building to give way like that without some shred of concrete or a particular chunk still standing high. The whole thing was below ground in a matter of seconds, that's like lightning speed.

1.That is not true! The floors under the most heat stress ABOVE the impact zone gave way causing the floors beneath them to give way. That is why the collapse started around the impact zone and not from the bottom of the building.

2. A light plane is not the same as a large Commercial liner full of aviation fuel traveling at over 500mph.

Plus a burning house and a block of flats are not built the same way as the WTC buildings. The WTC buildings had a different design. Conspiracy theorists will not tell you this when making such a comparison. You cannot expect both buildings to behave the same way when collapsing forces are exerted on them.
With the WTC, most of the steel structure was on the outside surrounding the core. The core was made of concrete floors supported by trusses. Trusses were connected to the steel outer-frame using bolts. When the trusses sagged due to heat and eventually buckled (because of lateral pressures put on the steel outer-frame) the steel outer-frame, the floors came down pancaking onto lower floors. That is why the steel outer-frames were free to collapse inward.

As TayoD has said. It is not one factor that caused the building to collapse. It is a combination of factors.
