PoliticsRe: Putting Food On The Table Or Sending Satelite Into Space by Mariory(m): 10:54am On May 19, 2007
Let me ask one question. Should we then have continued to rent bandwidth from overseas in order to communicate? Or do the people complaing about the satellite imagine that we are connected for free?

Now let's discuss some of the benefits of the satellite.
Nigeria will earn $70 million annually from transponder leases on NigcomSat-1.
Nigerian broadband users will save more than $95 million a year
Internet access will be avaliable to remote rural villages.
NigcomSat-1 will allow Nigerians to save $660 million in phone-call charges.
Some 150,000 jobs is estimated will be created.

We are always complaining about government lacking initiative, innovation, or ideas. Yet when these traits are shown we complain?

y don't we try violence for a change as peace doesnt seem to have worked so far. the corrupt people/govt of nigeria obviously count on the attitude of the average nigerian ( wether we like it or not it is done and it wont change) to continue in their evil misruling ways. isnt it time we hold them accountable?
yes yaradua is likly to have won so y didnt they just let it be? these people do not account for even 1% of the nigerian population and so they should not be allowed to play god with our lives and future!
the bible says the kingdom of God suffers violence and only the violent taketh it by force. maybe we should try that for a change.
Maybe if you move from London to lead the violence, others might follow?

His question Answer: Gideon Levy was a former spokesman for Shimon Peres (former Israeli premier) works for Haaretz newspaper (One of the more sophisticated newspaper in Israel). He is hardly an "appologetics"
Talk of a distant outsider weeping and wailing more than the bereaved.
He then said How could any one in their right mind label Gideon Levy an "islamic revisionists and proponents of political correctness".

What sense is one suppose to make from the above post? I don't know if you know this but, there is nothing wrong with having nothing worthwhile to say - unless you insist on saying it. Were you referring to me or the author of the article (Gideon Levy)?
Was this your conclusion or was this the place you stopped thinking? Next time get someone to translate it to meaningful English before you post.
You might say you're not an idiot but you are sure making a world class effort in simulating one, fool.
Just for your benefit my last post was reffering to you. Next time use that pea sized piece of meat you call your brain a little longer before you post. I mean, dear God, you're dumb!

Are you going to respond to davidylan's post?

You don't know something and i will tell you. A soldier has a paricular type of training and my brother please don't commend OBJ for keeping the Venom in the military boys.

If we leave out Democracy and let us say let us close our eyes it will only take 21 days for the military to clean out this militants.

The guns I see this Militants brandishing I can tell you have seen them since the 80's. The military boys have the fire power and mind. I know about some of the weapons we have and if the government releases just 5 Apache Hcopters there will be blood shed.
I'm aware of that. I have said it several times that they (militants) are overplaying their hand and that sooner or later, they will go too far where a full military response will be inevitable.

@ Iyke-D

I do not in any way condone the activities of the militants. The point am trying to make is that the problem in the niger delta is a direct creation of the pdp government over the past eight years. Why was there no hostage taking and hooliganism in the delta throughout all the years of military rule? (please do not misconstrue my arguments, am not in support of military rule either)
During the last military dictatorship, could you openly criticize Abacha? The answer to this question is the same answer to the question you asked in the quote.

Final Thoughts
All through this thread I have refrained from quoting the topic "Israel Doesn't Want Peace By Gideon Levy" until now.
The writer Gideon Levy was a former spokesman for Shimon Peres (former Israeli premier) works for Haaretz newspaper (One of the more sophisticated newspaper in Israel).
First paragraph of his article opens thus: The moment of truth has arrived, and it has to be said: Israel does not want peace. The arsenal of excuses has run out, and the chorus of Israeli rejection already rings hollow. Until recently, it was still possible to accept the Israeli refrain that "there is no partner" for peace and that "the time isn't right" to deal with our enemies. Today, the new reality before our eyes leaves no room for doubt and the tired refrain that "Israel supports peace" has been left shattered.
People here have tried to twist and turn the arguments, but truth will prevail. We are supposed to be sorry for the poor Israelis who are being bombarded by rockets every day, really. The mental midgets here refused to read the article, but are prepared to defend the indefensible. Ah! poor Israel, yeah right, give me a break.

P.S
Gideon Levy is a Jew.
I rest my case Goodbye
Kids, this is why you should stay in school, listen and absorb what your teachers teach. That way you will not have such a restricted ability to reason or to post as much nonsense as that displayed in the above quote.

Calm down closetpervert. Arm chair critics have existed as long as we can remember. It's also not a secret that most are clueless and cannot even manage their own life talkless that of over 100 million people.

The country is progressing regardless of what they type out in pixels. wink

Militants from the hardline Islamist group also fired barrages of rockets at Israeli towns, an apparent attempt to draw
Israel into the internal Palestinian conflict that has sent the coastal territory spiraling into chaos.
Hamas officials said the organization's men launched eight rockets at Israel Wednesday, following a barrage of around 20 rockets a day earlier. That salvo at the Israeli town of Sderot, just outside Gaza, wounded 21 Israelis, one seriously — a woman whose house took a direct hit, said Yerucham Mendola, spokesman for the Red Star of David, the Israeli equivalent of the Red Cross.

There were no casualties Wednesday morning, but school was canceled in Sderot and residents huddled in bomb shelters.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070516/ap_on_re_mi_ea/israel_palestinians

Of course, I should mention that the daily rocket attacks on Israel have never ceased since the Israelis completely pulled out of Gaza. It is hardly reported in the media cause for Israeli civilians to live under constant bombardment is seen to be acceptable. After all, their military is stronger.

It is eternally hilarious how Palestinian extremists continue to make fools out of those that defend them on these forum boards. Quite hilarious.

What has his post got to do with Isreal and Palestine? What has 9/11 got to do with this thread. Plus why would anyone with half a brain not dismiss that nonsense outright.

Bin Laden himself released tapes claiming his organization was behind 9/11. We seen training videos, tapes of bombers themselves giving their warped reasons for doing what they did.

I suppose MOSSAD was responsible for the Kenya bombings, for the Bali bombings, for the Madrid bombings, for the London bombings, for the Algeria bombings, for the Pakistani bombings, for world hunger, for ugly people etc.

*Yawn*. Next!

Wise decision, I think the topic may be out of your depth (clever boy). Try "My wife won't suck my privates" thread.
That your thinking ability may be on a par with that of a retard is no excuse to subject the rest of us with your stupidity. You have no clue of the history of the land called Palestine. You have no clue of the dynamics of politics involved in this region of the middle east. You have no clue of the complexities of the armed conflicts that go on in said region. Put simply, it appears you have no clue.

Lest you try to come up with what you think is a clever retort, I suggest you utilise the other brain cell and do some research on what 'Palestine' actually is.

PoliticsSenate Clears President, Indicts Atiku Over Ptdf Scam by Mariory(op): 12:21pm On May 11, 2007
AFTER nearly nine months of deliberations, the Senate yesterday declared that Vice President Atiku Abubakar acted illegally in the management of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) funds. But it made no recommendation against him.

On the indicting recommendations made concerning President Olusegun Obasanjo, in the report of the Senate Review Committee on the Ad hoc Committee that investigated the PTDF, the Upper House threw them out when an overwhelming number of the lawmakers declined to uphold the recommendations.

The majority of Nigerians were perfectly satisfied with Obasanjo's government until he started his 3rd term nonsense.
