nwoye72:pls help us ask them. after all the initial gra gra it became a "settlement " matter. those talking of Ifo lga.... come to oba femi owode. everything is community self help. when I see the tax I remit to ogun state.... it pains me so much. |
intjgirl:pls could you explain how. |
No serious organisation will truly expect you to start immediately. at certain levels of job authority /responsibility it would be expected that you need to clear your desk and tidy loose ends. next time ask when they want you to resume and if you can't, explain why. I personally am not impressed by the "I can resume immediately " response. I believe in leaving on a clean slate even if I don't work my full notice I will try to clear as much as I can and leave a comprehensive handover document. ironically the same organisation will now want to call your previous organisation for reference checks! |

Another major question is what are they paying as taxes? Given the new tax laws they should be paying over 24% on total emolument or gross. someone in FIRS is not doing their job properly. they will claim that their hands are tied. if it is to chase private companies then they will be showing strength. Nonsense. in fact i am so upset. |
Mrinquisitive:whats so hard to believe? growing up as a young lady , u see it happen all the time. the brave girls embarass the hell out of the guy and he ends up getting down at the next busstop. as a student i just used to move away like the poster did... as i grew older and bolder i would confront them albeit quuetly so others dont cotton on and then move away. i remember one bike i took( have u noticed how they slant the seat forward so with every jerk, u slide forward .most womens clothes are of "felele fabric" so you keep slipping. at a point i noticed he kept jerking the machine so i kept falling against him . when i got down to pay i noticed he ccouldnt look me in the eye and was squirming on the bike.thats when i noticed his hard-on. i could tell so many stories.... its not about looks or physique ..... the summary: some men dont have self control. |
komengo:this comment intrests me. assuming one has a roof that leaks(nothing major) , what type of ceiling can one install that leakage will not quickly damage. is there any ceiling type that is a bit water leakage resistant.? i await a response pls. |

i dont understand the problem. wifey was late to work, dad offered to help. in these present hard times , how many couples can afford to operate on one income? i know so many men who do their daughters hair, my neighbour used to do it . had a colleague who had stew stains on his shirt - turned out he was feeding his daughters while wifey packed their lunch boxes. another colleague filled all the water canisters before coming to work.... all my examples are of nigerian men in naija. we want women to help out with bills yet dont want to lighten their home workload ..... SMH for haters..... it would amaze you what all these e-haters do in their relationships to keep it together. i believe every couple will work out whats best for their individual relationships - others can take a walk. anyway some peeps are on permanent 'negative' mode. |
very true. have also noticed it. its a struggle to unwrap them quickly to throw in the pot. its worse if u dont have nails |
at no point have i noticed that nestle indicated babies as their target market. when my kids were growing i never gave them GM. for my last child i did but it was occaisonal and he was 2 plus. A lot of parents then and to date see it as baby food and a cheaper option hence its adoption. also the fact that its nestle gave a false sense of confidence. a lot if us dont read labels - we only check nafdac nos and expiry dates. we dont check nutritional info , buy US and UK foods, the info will tire you sef! when a problem rears its head we are quick to want to blame the producing company.its good nestle is being responsive. |
To all the wannabe husbands, she is married. She was Sola David before marrying Borha and becoming Sola David-Borha. |
i rarely post but felt i should on this one. just to share : like poster said, always wear a good bra - the bustier you are the more imperative you choose support over fashion. (1) dont back babies for long periods especially as they get bigger - the weight of the baby will weigh down on and press your breasts down seriously. (2) busty ladies shoulnt go about braless to do their house chores even at home - if wired bras are a bore , invest in a few unwired ones to wear at home when relaxing or under loose clothing. this also applies to pregnant women. when pregnant, the breasts are more tender. this is when u need a bra. (3)do breast exercises . these are designed for the pectoral muscles and assist in firming your pectorals and giving a bit of lift. Of course genes also have a part to play. Ciao. |

I sign too. Nigeria is a secular nation. Why do we allow our constitution to be made answerable to islam? What of the opinions of the christians and 'free thinkers" Closet paedophiles in power. |
In contractual law, there is something called "offer" and "acceptance". It does not have to be written. Just the action of entering a bus to a destination is an offer to carry you there in consideration for a fee being the transport fare. The fact that you report somewhere every month and they pay you for work done shows that there is a "tacit" contract. However the labour law does state that an employee must be given a letter not later than 3 months from date of employment and this letters should cover all the salient points of the contract: date contract comes into force, salary, work hours, location of employment, etc This is because too often, people lack integrity and are wont to renege on agreements hence the law. where there is no letter either of you can end the contract with no strings attached and no legal consequences. Depending on your leverage in the relationship as well as its nature you should insist unless it is a job you want to be free to walk away from without hassles. |
