Your neighbor is poor...that is why he is worried and should not proceed. I know a rich someone who did ..even sent all the 3 kids with the one the woman had for him abroad to study. Upon graduation fixed all of them up with good jobs.

So, if your friend is poor, he will be inconveniencing himself.

My own question is ..why is CBN allowing this? Why should a bank use my money to compete against me...
A bank should only offer financial services like it is being done abroad.

A bank should not be collecting my money and using it to open travel agency, selling recharge card, payment of nepa biils , selling rice, selling food, open Supermatkets, etc to compete against me. Banks should just offer financial services and support others to run their business.

You are absolutely right. I put too much trust on our banking system that's why I fell victim.
Let's all start behaving very archaic and primitive since our institutions can't live up to the standards they propose.
If it was a fake alert, I would admit that I was outsmarted, If it was an edited receipt I would admit same. UBA just gave that opportunity to the culprit to defraud me by returning his money back to him after he genuinely transferred and I saw him download the pdf file of the receipt before I snapped it from his screen.

Banking System that even Emefiele their Governor does not trust ..that is why he dishes out different Circulars at times.

In terms of transfer, the objective is for the money to register in your bank account and your account balance changes. Anything other than that, keep the goods till it shows

I pan to your narrative. It will be difficult for Nigerian Military to be exceedingly great because when you compare to a Country like USA, the President comes in and works with his old Generals he met in office...the Generals pass on their years of experience and skills to the upcoming subordinates.

In Nigeria, the opposite is the case. To have loyalty, the President comes in then chooses a lower rank to become a COAS thus retiring quite a number of experienced higher rank professionals above that lower rank that has just been made a superior rank.

The bank staff who made the erroneous transfer should be arrested as well. There is no mistake when it comes to transferring such humongous amounts.

I discovered that some old generation bank accounts share same account number with OPay accounts , but different names. I almost made similar transfer error, if not for final scrutiny. Always do a final check before you confirm any transfer

How did you confirm INEC spent the money? Did you check who received the money, who was paid, whose account the money went to, who were transfers made to? Which invoices were used to collect the money? Who checked the items matched the money etc etc
