PoliticsRe: Vice Presidential Debate - What Do You Think As You Watch by marvix(m): 1:40am On Mar 13, 2011
In my opinion you engage in debates with your equals, people who can understand what you are talking about.

The trio on this debate are not on the same level with Sambo of the PDP, Sambos presence will only give these folks attention.

Oshiomole is what he is today because Obasanjo gave him attention, why is Abdulwaheed Omar not as popular as Oshiomole, because of the Yaradua style of treating them, I will not honour a 7yr old challenge to wrestling cos I stand only to lose evrything, If I beat him up or win him I am an Agbaya and if he beats me it is still a disgrace, so the only sensible thing to do when folks who aspire to be like u try to bring u to their is to ignore them.

PoliticsRe: Abacha's Son Is Cpc's Kano Governorship Candidate. by marvix(m): 7:46pm On Mar 05, 2011
Why are people choosing to forget so quick that Buhari had reacted to this earlier where he said he heard of complaints that Abacha bought the votes and he was against this sort of thing and he hopes(knows) that the party that is fully his own will resolve the matter, Buhari was well aware about the Abacha mess, and he favored the idea of dropping him.

The issue here is that the problems of the PDP can also be transferred to the CPC even before we finish voting in the general elections, this is why I have always been against the "Vote PDP out" wagon but would rather remain in the wagon of "fresh Air Nigeria".

Its now Buhari fanatics are trying to preach individuals not party, so sad for them, can they tell me how CPC hopes to beat PDP in Kano, when we all know that the people of Kano even though they did not wait for Jonathans speech were fully behind their governorship candidate.

The Buhari/Jonathan race is going to be won by the best man, the man with more structures, the man with a national reach, the man who has consistently shown an understanding of the complexities of the Nigerian politics, the man who will negotiate and deal with those who can deliver himhis dreams, the man who knows the heart of the problems, a diplomatic gentleman, and in my candid opinion Jonathan will carry the day at least I can see Kano state been conceded to the PDP, so pls I ask where is the CPC strongholdhuh

PoliticsRe: 7 Reasons Buhari/bakare Will Lose The Elections Despite Growing Popularity! by marvix(m): 9:17am On Feb 28, 2011
Jarus you make sense. That is what I also believe as a mata of fact its a win win for the people of Nigeria if either Goodluck or Buhari wins, Goodluck has put paid to zoning, while Buhari victory will be a victory 4 d masses, either way Jonathan will be a winner because if he loses he wld lose gallantly and gladly handover to Buhari and would go down in history as the man who conducted a credible election, lost and handed over while if he wins fairly Buhari would gallantly accept the defeat knowing that he did his best and go to his retirement a happy man. Let the best man win! God is in control!!!

PoliticsRe: Is The North Africa Revolution Possible In Nigeria? Sanusi - Yes, Bankole - No by marvix(m): 10:36pm On Feb 27, 2011
Sanusi is right, its just that people are not listening to what Sanusi is sayin, he is saying if the govt does not wake up to its responsibilities.

Revolution will only happen when we all are frustrated with the system, I wonder how many posters on this forum are children of Customs officers, Police Officers, PHCN officials, Port officials, how many posters here are related to MDs of parastatals, how many here are not beneficiaries either directly or indirectly in this country.

Corruption in Nigeria feeds 80% of the population or is anyone actually deceived that 70% live below $1 per day, they survive from corruption, what is the meaning of its not my salary I am living on but the grace of God? In Egypt the people were not benefitting from corruption because accountability is everywhere except in the presidency, everyone had to do with what he had.

I will close with this last question, if it was simply impossible for Policemen to collect tolls on the road, rent out their guns to armed robbers and could not go on unofficial assignments escorting people would anyone ask them to revolt?
PoliticsRe: 7 Reasons Buhari/bakare Will Lose The Elections Despite Growing Popularity! by marvix(m): 10:12pm On Feb 27, 2011
@9ja man, will u consider the fact that today u walk into a fuel station buy d amt of fuel u need without buyin in xcess because there might be shortage somethin u can at least commend Jonathan for, let us face facts this is a democracy u can't achieve anything by presidential fiat, that's y it seems all that Obj achieved has been lost because a lot of his achievements were not legal, Jonathan is working hard, after a long battle the Min wage bill was passed it simply means no president can just reverse it the same is ongoin with the PIB the roadmap on power is a solid plan 2 take us there, despite d expensive voters registration I'll still say it was a success.

If u assure me that Buhari will generate 10000MW of power by 2012, pay workers 120k as min wage b4 Dec, make our police as effective as obtainable in d UK within 6mths nd if not would resign I'll consider votin 4 him but I kno that Rome was not built in a day nd I believe that Jonathan is only following afta Yaradua path where institutions are been strengthened.

Let Buhari negotiate some mergers with leading opposition then can I take him serious, is he planning 2 run d nation alone with his cronieshuh
PoliticsRe: 7 Reasons Buhari/bakare Will Lose The Elections Despite Growing Popularity! by marvix(m): 9:33pm On Feb 27, 2011
Quote from jarus,

Any one notice the civility of this discussion? I noticed the same thing on BB discussions on FB. I leave you to guess what that says about on BB fans.

Jarus I was thrown out of the BB page on FB just because I was expressing my views, they tried to get me agitated with insults I never replied, just because of that I made 5 new friends on fb some of them quit the group according to them the supporters there have all gone fanatical, another says there is no point arguing because the election can not be won the way they are going about it, a lot of GEJ supporters know what is on ground and know that theres no point arguing so why disturb others wishful thinking. Everyone has a right to dream and believe his dream but definitely can not force ur dreams on others.

I saw a man here saying he would go to his village and canvass votes for BB, but he is only assuming that in his village the people there dont have who yhey want to vote for and are waiting for him to come one week to election and listen to him because he is responsible for their feeding, he will be surprised that his 18 yr old son would tell him YES DAD I heard you only for them to count the votes and he discovers that in his polling booth theres just one vote for BB and that vote is his!

Is it not surprising that it is opposition supporters that are systematically calling for do or die, why should people be planning to protest after the elections if their candidate does not win, how can they be so sure that everyone shares their enthusiasm. Please our only role is yes canvass for votes, but dont compell people to vote bases on your belief but theirs, cast your vote and wait to see that your vote counts, of you observe an anomaly, you have no right to start a fight all you have to do is send details of the infringements to your candidate with evidence, peaceful change is here. GEJ is the change we need but he is not the messiah, but he will usher in the messiah, he is the last of the bad guys who will have the opportunity to remedy their misdeeds, he stands for change what Buhari does not stand for.

Buhari is a memeorable past we all have to let go, Jonathan is the present we need to embrace while Ribadu belongs to a future we look forward to, so I say April 2011 let the best man win!!!!
PoliticsRe: Pdp Moves Against Salami by marvix(m): 1:47am On Feb 24, 2011
I believe the issue should be faced here, did Salami actually discuss with Tinubu and co. I believe the PDP governors should have accused him without the evidence and allow him deny, before bringing up these evidences.

I also believe that it is obvious that majority of NLanders operate a double set of standards in reacting to issues, If Tinubu had brought phone logs of Jonathan discussing with Jega how many of those folks would actually ask that MTN be sued?

Someone even went as far as to mention the Yaradua case, that case was a clear case of an independent judiciary that did its job without fear or favour, court judgements are always given with a consideration to the effects it would have ob society, the evidences before the court in the Yaradua VS Buhari case was not enough to declare Buhari as president and that definitely is obvious to us all, now the judiciary had a president who obeyed their orders without questions as against Obj who chooses what judgement hew will obey and which he would not. If you annul the election and order a re run, who takes charge of the country, what if Yaradua loses because he didnt want to rig the elections and say an Atiku goes ahead to rig the elections and when he becomes president hold the judiciary to ransom, it is obvious today that the Judiciary has become independent from the govt, but as can be seen in this case it seems thye have now chosen to be agents of the opposition.

If PDP says that they will rule for the next 50yrs, you can not blame them, blame the opposition, because its not their fault that there is no viable opposition that can dislodge them.
PoliticsRe: We Are Not Into Politics To Make Money, Says Jonathan by marvix(m): 12:19pm On Feb 23, 2011
stine b:
Im begining to think otherwise about Nairaland.was it created to be an Anti GEJ forum? Please someone should let me know.
Some negative elements here keep embarking on Destructive criticism on the Commander-In-Chief of the Federal Republic, when they can not even run their own homes. If i may ask, which Presidential Candidate has a 100% track record in the past and present? You are all entitled to your opinions, keep it to yourselfs and let us have peace. You think you can change anything by opening up your gutters on NL? Why dont you just Wait and vote for your choice candidates in April and stop Making Nairaland annoying and Boring.GEJ FOR PRESIDENT 2011-PEOPLES CHOICE.
Stine dont mind them, I dont think its anti-GEJ, I believe majority of them are just confused bigots whose only stock in trade is criticising a sitting government.

Let us take a look back you would see that the forums only delight is rubbishing Nigerias leadership, they preach hate for the government, all those shouting Buhari today, will still be the first set of people to harass him if he ever becomes president but alas he can never become president because elections are not won online and definitely not on Nairaland where majority of the commentators dont live here.

Can you really imagine that folks in UK and other foreign places will always come here telling us that there are no roads in Nigeria, that all the roads are failed, folks who fly from lagos to Abuja and Abuja to Portharcourt and hardly use the roads will come here attempting to tell us that we are in a failed state because the roads that they had not been on for over four years are bad.

I travel by road, and in December I travelled by road from Portharcourt to Abeokuta and I saw improvement on that road, because for 6 years that is 2001 to 2007 I was a regular traveller from Benin to Abeokuta, Isaw the Benin ore road collapse totally to the point where we had to take longer routes through Akure to move along, 2009n was like the lowest point of the road where folks coming to Benin for a wedding from Lagos had to sleep on the road and turned back without getting to Benin, this road was the same road I travelled on from Portharcourt to Abeokuta nad spent about 10hrds to get to Abeokuta, from Benin City to Abeokuta was about 4hrs which is the standard, at every point along the road you could see that work is ongoing, what about the east west road work is going on, the Lagos Ibadan work is ongoing so what do they want.

A lot of GEJ supporters have already decided that Silence is the best answer to the jobless majority on Nairaland, they can sing all they like, they can criticise all they want but a man who God has chosen no one can remove, when Abachas time was up Nigerians did not have to do anything to remove him, 2011 will be the year of the true Nigerian majority, if you dont appreciate the abundance of fuel in the country does that appreciate it would vote for GEJ, if you dont appreciate the effect of the items removed from the import prohibition list, those who appreciate would be voting GEJ, if you dont appreciate your president engaging you on facebook, those who do will vote him, if you dont appreciate the structure and presence of the PDP in every nook and cranny of this country those who only see PDP in their locality will have no choice, This is indeed the beauty of democracy, the "foolish" majority will always have its way while the "wise" minority can only have its say, so for me I have pitched my tent with the "foolish" majority you guys that are so wise after 2011 we would be ready to listen to your wisdom, or is it just today you guys noticed Buhari is in the race, the same folks shouting Ribadu criticised him when he was at EFCC, so what the heck, those criticising GEJ today where the same people who could not reason when Yaradua was sick that Yaradua was not the problem they screamed GEJ TAKE OVER!!!! but today they are confused again.

maybe their misconception is that the protests during the Yaradua saga was what produced GEJ, I make bold to say that the protests had nothing to do with GEJ becoming President, GEj only knew that caution always has to be taken when attempting to drink a hot soup, and what soup could have been hotter than the Presidency of the nation?

GEj is campaigning now, Buhari does not even have a campaign office in more than 20states and Ribadu does not even know if he really wants to run with his vice then tomorrow they will be complaining that they were rigged out.
PoliticsRe: Bad Choices Could Have Cost Acn/cpc The 2011 Presidency. by marvix(m): 10:44pm On Feb 20, 2011
This is the problem of the opposition in this country. Everyone concentrates on the top executive job and leave the important jobs to mediocres in their groups, after the elections those mediocres will always find it more convenient to decamp to the ruling party to benefit. Ribadu should ahve been in the senate and support Buhari in his campaign, this would provide a very stifff contest for GEJ, and Buhari should not just think of becoming president but should also concentrate on planting as many Buharis as State govs, national Assembly members, State assembly members, he would then have placed the solid foundation for a Ribadu to rattle the PDP and possibly bring it down by 2015.

The game of politics is not a days job, even Martin Luther could not see his dream of a black president but he made the sacrifices to ensure that it came to pass.

We are not xpecting him to treat himself we are just wondering why he needs 3 doctors and why there are up to 6 Doctors serving 3 people living and working in the same premises.

GEJ tolerates killing, he encourages corruption, he is helping criminals everyday. This is not the kind of young man we have been clamouring for to lead this nation out of the woods.

Vote Buhari/Bakare 2011for the future of our children
Forget it Solomon, Goodluck Jonathan is on call 24hrs a day and his docs can not be expected to do that for just him they have to be on shift also the president is not expecting checks only on malaria the doctors are experts in different practises, if you dont know there is an Aso rock clinic where these doctors also attend to other patients.

This propaganda does nothing to Jonathans ability to serve this nation properly , I still remember that it was \Yaradua who came up publicly to announce that the salaries of personal aides in the villa and himself and his ministers all took a salary cut including his aides

Well it is the beauty of democracy

PoliticsRe: Abacha Never Stole, Say Buhari by marvix(m): 5:30am On Feb 20, 2011
I wonder y pple kip screaming ECA, wat was the ECA meant for, did u not read the IMF reports, we should have devalued our naira instead d govt is holding out the naira and this is done by financing the Economy nd d budgets. The ECA was set up for the rainy days and the same PDP govt that set up the ECA have defined now as the rainy day why are those who neva supported d idea in d first place now crying blue murder.

$16b in the power projects have been long proven to be a farce, only $3b had been disbursed at the time of the investigation, Yaradua went thru all necessary procedures to ensure that funds for the NIPP are fully backed by law.

The haliburton scandal predates our democratic dispensation so what are we insinuating, this is election period and GEJ is interested in winning fairly and his supporters believe it is possible, so if Buhari can find it convenient to tell us that Abacha never looted may this not be a pointer that Buhari has learnt a vital lesson he hopes 2 put in use if allowed into the Aso villa.

For all those blivin Buhari would probe GEJ read up d article, Abdulsalami said its a waste of time and money probing past leaders and on this I agree very much, even when Yaradua stated tha Objs administration spent $10b on power with nothing to show for it, he did not set up any panel to start probing,it was d house of reps dat went into d jamboree and from insight we can all answer how far we went as a nation?
PoliticsRe: Abacha Never Stole, Say Buhari by marvix(m): 6:53pm On Feb 19, 2011
Buhari made this statement and I remeber vividly. For those calling it a smear campaign, well that is politics everything you have ever done can and will be used against you.

I believe this is one reason why some folks should not vote for Buhari, like I have always said Buhari is not necessarily an evil man, but he belongs to a past we need to forget about, his group of leaders should be left at the council of states, If he can not push his suggestions and advicxe thru the council of state then what do we need from him as the President.

Folks trying to defend Buhari are the same folks attacking GEJs statement that no one should rig for him.

Well I wont be rigging for GEJ, I will be casting my one vote, my brothers and sisters, mum, relatives and friends have been convinced to allow GEJ, thats the farthest I will go and then sit back and wait for the results in my polling booth be announced, I will personally upload my polling booth results here on NL.

I wish Nigeria Goodluck!!!

PoliticsRe: Bakare: What I Won’t Take As Buhari’s VP by marvix(m): 10:18pm On Feb 05, 2011
The Buhari/Bakare option can only excite the polity.

Truly votes will count but Buhari will finally lose gallantly.

It is nice to see a lot of team Ribadu candidates opt for Buhari, this is where Ribadu is supposed to play his joker, honourably step down pledge his alleigance to Buhari, go for to his senatorial district and contest with full support for Buhari.

I am so certain Buhari will lose because of an observation from one of the members on this forum, he said the million fools out number the wise ones, so if all the fools go the foolish way of voting Jonathan, Including me the number 1 fool and all the sensible wise minority vote Buhari, the end result is that Jonathan wins I only hope that the sensible wise ones will accept the democratic results.

The real reason why Jonathan will win is because the system favours his winning, the beneficiaries of corruption far out number those who have not benefited from corruption, elections are not won just by name or popularity, I am in Portharcourt the only adverts for the presidency i hear of is Goodluck ebele Jonathan, that is the same every where, the other opponents are still choosing vice president and their only campaign manifesto is that PDP has not achieved anything for the nation in the last 12yrs.

My question has always been that is the PDP of 1999 the same as the PDP we have today, while the PDP has tried to clean up its mess and reorganise itself and we are even having new face in the PDP polity, the old disgruntled elite who benefitted from the PDP rot in one way or the other are shouting pull the PDP down.

In the 2011 elections I am not voting any party I am voting individuals and the individuals sure of my vote as at today is Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and Rotimi Ameachi, just Imagine a Sekibo running against Amaechi and telling me to vote out PDP that must be a JOKE!!!, when did he leave the PDP, when did Alaibe leave the PDP, the Tinubu asks everyone to vote against PDP while he sends his wife, daughter, son-in-law and other family members to elective offices.

The PDP is the only entity that resembles a political party in this country because in a party you expect to have every shade of character and not a one man show. Today jonathan calls the shot but if Ribadu works his way up in the PDP he will also call the shots, but in the ACN Tinubu had to be appeased to allow Fashola a second term if only to preserve his dynasty, If Fashola had been a failure it would still have been at the discretion of Tinubu to either replace him or keep him or would he be able to replace his wife if they fail.

Peeps PDP is not our problem individuals are and Jonathan definitely is not one of those individuals!!!

The Fall of Bakare. The Devil finally got him. It is an irony that he preyed to God but devil answered.
I sympathize with Buhari coz he can't win this time. It should have happened before but too bad he have no place in Nigerian politics again. We would need you as an opposition. I respect him but not happy he is still wasting his money he worked hard for. We are finally going to bury political carriers of some old men and looters giving us problem. And i say
bye bye IBB
bye bye Atiku
bye bye Caromo
bye bye Buhari (in advance)
bye bye Bakare (no apology to what ever befell u).
You were right on spot but let me add this combination will only make Jonathans victory in 2011 even sweeter, because he would have won worthy opponets not like the walkover he had over Atiku, this contest will really test our democracy.

For all who dont know Jonathan can never lose in a first round election in this country the best bet the Buhari/Bakare can get is to force Jonathan into a runoff and if they get that far we must all congratulate them.

I look forward to a wonderful campaign and electioneering period I say let the best man win but my vote definitely goes to Goodluck Ebele Jonathan!!!
PoliticsRe: Buhari’s Running Mate: Bakare Decides Today ! by marvix(m): 9:25pm On Jan 31, 2011
Did anyone even notice the statement of Buharis Media Adviser "Bakare's decision will excite the polity". I make bold to say that is the best it can achieve, its a good combination, I have said Jonathans era will end the era of all the old corrupt politicians.

A lot of us passionate about this country are not really analysing the nation properly PDP is not the problem it is the absolute power the PDP enjoys, the 1999 PDP could not have gotten away the way the 2003 PDP got away with its actions.

What we need in 2011 is a not too strong President, a President from the PDP working with a senate president from the opposition, a chairman of the Gov forum from the opposition, then the people will actually wield their power, just like Obama would rely on the republicans sometimes to have his way against democrats that do not agree with his actions or plans that is the way the Nigerian president of 2011 and beyond should be.

If we sack PDP enmasse we would only end up creating another monster that can even claim the personality who engineered the process like Buhari and Bakare today.

This combination will give GEJ a run for the presidency but can never cost him the presidency because the kind of following Buhari has in the north, Jonathan has it in the Niger Delta, dont forget that this voters registration would also enable us know which part of the country has the population.

If we really want to be honest with our analysis, we would all agree that Jonathan is trying his best to ensure that the elections are credible fair and free to his best capability, the current registration would surely seve better to ensure a one man one vote, and Jonathan is letting all this because he can tell fairly that in a free and fair contest he stands a good chance of claiming the presidency no matter how many of his govs and senators fall off.

It was our frustration with the military and the rush to send them packing that produced the PDP of today, we should be careful because it is absolute power that corrupts absolutely, so the PDP problem has been that they control every arm of govt, they can all sit in a PDP NEC and decide what policy the whole nation would adopt, same with Lagos, the ACN can decide if Lagos should move forward or not, this kind of power is good when we have a benevolent leader but this power also has the capability to corrupt this benevolent leader.

I am interested in a Nigeria with two Nationally strong political powers where the members can never jump from either to the other, this is what will bring the balance and development we seek.

Competition is what is lacking not will to fight corruption, If PDP controls 18 states in the country and CPC controls 7, ACN controls 5, ANPP controls 4 and APGA controls 2 you would see that when all the opposition gather together all they need is to break into PDPs ranks of govs to influence decision, so if a minority in PDP stands in the interest of the nation can mobilize the opposition, that is the beauty of democracy if the National Assembly has 50% PDP members and all the opposition share 50% they could even frustrate PDPs zoning formula if only to cause disaffection in the PDP fold, this would be better for our democracy than having a CPC control everything from Presidency to NASS, to GOV forum.
PoliticsRe: NL Official Presidential Opinion Poll by marvix(m): 2:28pm On Jan 24, 2011
@Najalyn, You have spoken well, what you have said is the truth of the matter, just that folks on NL tink it was their rants on the internet that got GEJ sworn in as president without blood shed. I will join in voting Jonathan for 2011, and he sure would be sweeping the votes, have you noticed how PDP seems to be even more democratic than the opposition parties, the losers in the primaries are accepting their fates and pledging their support, but I cant say that categorically for the ACN.

@Doja I hail you too, you think this is the best chance we have to take the country from those who have plundered this country but I tell you this, No one rushes a hot soup, this is not the best time, the best time is 2015, the blacks in America waited how long to produce a President, all Ribadu needs to do is wait till 2015, he should be in the senate, This was what Obama did, Obama did not contest against an incumbent!!

@Jarus, Interesting thread, if only the elections would be determined by the number of people who have internet access.
PoliticsRe: Campaign Against Tinubu Imposed Candidates by marvix(m): 5:17am On Jan 23, 2011
ACn is finally making the blunder I never expected them to make, there must be a reason for GEJ to win and ACN has just provided that reason.

The 2011 election is supposed to be an opportunity for the opposition to work hard together but here they are messing things up out of their selfishness, how strong can a man want to show himself by placing his wife, daughter and son in law in elective office, he hopes to ride the high wave of anti PDP sentiments for his personal benefit, he also is using Ribadu.

I have said it a lot of times 2011 is the opportunity for the opposition to steal a lot of critical positions from the pDP like senatorial seats and governors seats but it seems Tinubu and his co travellers at the ACN have seen it as another opportunity to feather their nest.

Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is indeed the very fresh air we need in this country, let us not be sentimental with what has happened at the primaries the PDP of today is better than the ACN of today we cant keep looking back we must move ahead we must not make the mistake of 1999, we allowed the man that annuled june 12 produce the president in 2003 we allowed Obj to continue when Buhari offered him self in 2007 there was no viable alternative to Yaradua and 2011 is indeed the time we need to move ahead vote wisey. we must not vote against any party so also we should not vote for any party but we should vote individuals irrespective of the political party they belong to.

Yaradua was a PDP president fully supported by Obj yet he was able to resist Objs influence, he went ahead and released funds Obj seized from Lagos, who says GEJ will not abandon those who support him today, let us ask where is Nwodo today, Jonathan listens to the people of the country, Nwodo was at loger heads with the majority of his party members jonathan needs the support of the majority of the PDP members so Nwodo was sacrificed, when he becomes president he would need the support of all Nigerians the PDP members who will stand against the interests of Nigerians can be assured of been sacrificed.

I look forward to 2015, the likesof Tinubu,Obasanjo, Akande, Buhari, Atiku, Anenih, and co would be expired then we would be ready for the new day where the front runners would include Fashola, Oshiomole, Sanusi Lamido, Ribadu, Dora and co, the future can not be seen by all but for the prophets who have seen tomorrow there is no despair for today because we know that what will be will be!

The question I have for you is this:

Can u tell us why Jonathan is the best man for the Job? Just some reasons why we should prefer Jonathan over Buhari. And u lied that ANPP cannot win any election in the south? Ajumobi won in Oyo State but OBJ rigged, Amosun won in Ogun also ANPP. There are other councillorship position won in oyo state by ANPP that Akala later sacked by executive powers. So your premise is wrong.
In my opinion Joanthan is the best man for the job because as it stands today he is the only man that is prepared for the job of president.

He is stable and understands the Nigerian political terrain.

He belongs to a political party that has a national spread.

He has shown capacity to engage the entire populace of this nation.

He knows where the shoe pinches, this can be seen in how he has ensured that fuel supply is not hampered even if we have to expend all our excess crude reserves, the delisting of textiles from the import prohibition list after granting a N200b facility to the local textile industry, his increase in the age of cars that can be imported into the country also has an impact on smuggling activities, he is a man who wants to play politics.

Goodluck Jonathan is a breath of fresh air considering his rise to his present position (you may not agree with this)

Goodluck Jonathan is the best man for the job because he has the backers who can deliver him to Aso Rock.

Goodluck Jonathan is the best man for the job because every Nigerian on the street can relate to his story.

Goodluck Jonathan is the best man for the job because he is SIMPLY THE BEST BMAN FOR THE JOB!!!
BusinessRe: Corruption Not Nigeria’s Bane, Says World Bank by marvix(m): 11:14pm On Jan 21, 2011
Corruption is not our problem but the brazen show of corruption is.

Every nation has corrupt people but the corrupt ones dont lord it over the non corrupt people.

Laws dont work here so that if you are caught you can be adequately dealt with.

Let us take a break from the govt corruption, lets take a look at the banks, when Sanusi sacked Cecilia Ibru, her son who was an ED was also sacked but the boy resurfaced as MD of Aero Contractors, it is a classical case of corruption, did we forget Abachas son who told us that no matter how much the govt took back from its family they could not be as wretched as Dangote shocked shocked shocked

The policemen collect tolls as though they could give receipt, blind men have drivers licence in Nigeria everyone is involved.

Ajumogobia said and I still stand beside his call, the laws should change to fight corruption, if you are accused of corruption the onus of proof should be on you to justify that you are not corrupt.

This would bring a new era, i would also suggest that we amend our laws so that anyone who gives a bribe is not guilty of an offence but whoever receives the bribe is the guilty person.

The implication is that if you are been offered a bribe it could be a setup and when you ask for a bribe the individual can pay and report of his being a victim.
PoliticsRe: My Children Are Not In School - Gej - Another Propaganda By Next And The Haters. by marvix(m): 10:40pm On Jan 21, 2011
A president of Nigeria heard that Nigerians were complaining that his kids were in school when he asked others to stay at home and within 24hrs ordered his kids to stay at home and ordered the school to close, if only for politics I think that should be a plus.

Obasanjo, Atiku, Tinubu, Buhari and Ribadu will never do such a thing.

Nigerians dont throw away this golden opportunity to have a president that actually listens to what we say.

Ribadu has shown that he is an adamant self serving individual and Buhari has also shown that he is an all knowing individual this characteristic intwo of them was the major reason of Obasanjos failure as a president.
