Politics / Re: Accord Party, 44 Others Endorse Sanwo-olu, Form Coalition Ahead 2019 Election by marvix(m): 6:25pm On Nov 03, 2018
This is fake news, KOWA Party didn't endorse any candidate from any other party. This post should be pulled down. This is why I don't stay active on Nairaland, it's a place of fake news and unnecessary debates. APC minions are already celebrating the fake news they cooked up to make others believe it.

I am a member of KOWA and the PRO in Lagos, the Chairman in Lagos has already responded and rightly clarified that we didn't seek or enter any coalition with APC. For those interested in knowing that's the whole truth, we advise Lagosians to be on their guard and not be swayed by the innuendoes of those that don't want us to see better days in Lagos, let it be known that the days of APC leading Lagos state are numbered and the Jagaban will be made to account for all the loots he has taken from the state from 1999 to-date.

NwaAmaikpu:
We should stop voting according to party lines or ethnic affiliations but rather vote for candidates who can take us out of this global disgrace.

These old cargoes can jump ship at the eleventh hour when they find out what party is in vogue.
Two years ago, APC was the rave of the moment and all the known and unknown criminals defected from PDP. This is 3 years down the line and APC is still trying to know it's right from left.

What we need is someone who can take responsibility unlike the present crop of leaders whose only stock in trade is to pass blames. From the IGP's comment that the passage of Antigrazing bill in Benue led to the skirmishes between the farmers and herders, to FG still blaming GEJ's administration for the recession, we can safely assume that most politicians come to power unprepared.

In 2011 Nigerians voted for GEJ not PDP and in 2015 Nigerians voted for Buhari because it was anyone but Jonathan. If we are honest Nigerians have been voting for personalities, its about time we vote along party lines that have credible people in the DNA of those parties instead of relying on the character or capacity of their proposed candidate! KOWA Party is the credible alternative that Nigerians can keep faith with, it takes 2 minutes to register and join the party within 24hrs you get your party ID and with the scrapping of delegate system you can actually vote for which of or aspirants you want to emerge as the party's candidate.

me voting for this buhari is a mistake I an regretting up till now

Don't keep regretting you did it in good faith and love for the country. Yes you made a mistake but regretting won't provide a solution. First step to righting your wrong will be to join KOWA and insist on voting for good candidates on its platform, get more people to give Nigeria a chance. We want something different for our country so we must do something we have never done before.

Wow!!!! I had to abandon nairaland at a point when I cldnt find objectivity, today reading comments on dis thread was just unbelievable, comments were very objective and I know with lots of wat GEJ has planned its d average Nigerians dat will give him his 2nd term and not d power brokers in any of d political parties and dis is y he is yet 2 declare him ambition nd may want to do this on his facebook page like he did 4 d 2011 elections...........

If GEJ talk problem if he no talk wahala, if he come tell them him mind say 'he doesnt give a damn' all hell is let loose.

Please allow this man to work, is saying that he is not the originator of d problems saying that he is not going to fix d problems??

I wonder the kind of illiterates we have in the opposition that allows an ignorant speak on their behalf

Nairaland has become very boring and distracting it is impossible to learn anything on this forum. I think its time the moderators and founder of this site just close it down and let us have peace. There is need to change the way people are allowed to sign in on the forum. I am disappointed that people still reason the way some people post here!.......**smh**

Politics / Re: A Recap On Dim Chuwkuemeka Ojukwu by marvix(m): 2:23pm On Feb 23, 2012
Ojukwu is a great man, a very revealing episode, is there any account of Gowons revelation, would like 2 see how he views all dat happened, Gowon owes d nation so much apology and he shld save his prayers for himself and his children, he betrayed d nation I know it may not have been all his fault but he shld give us his own account
Politics / Re: You Want A SNC?- Read This Full Minutes Of The Famous Aburi Conference. by marvix(m): 6:22am On Feb 23, 2012
Pls can we just redirect dis debate, the issue 2day shld not b who was right or wrong in 1967, that was not the purpose of d OP who started dis thread, will SNC save us now in 2011, that is d question and my answer is NO!!!!, d SNC won't save us as a mata of fact at d rate we are going if we hav an SNC it wld b d basis of anoda war and this time it wld b total!!!
Politics / Re: You Want A SNC?- Read This Full Minutes Of The Famous Aburi Conference. by marvix(m): 2:30am On Feb 23, 2012
Taking my time to read thru all d comments through my fone has allowed me to learn more on d discourse that led to the civil war and further strenghtened my resolve that an SNC is not d solution to our problems. Truth be said we don't need an SNC, this was d original premise of Eziachi, we have had series of conferences and they yielded nothing good, to be fair to the Aburi conference it gave us a 30 month civil war and I will ask a simple question here if we have a conference today and after all discussions the powers that be decide not to implement the resolutions what would we do? Revolt? Its a stupid scheme only guaranteed to waste more of our resources.

Having said that as my contribution to the debate and trying to refocus it on the original theme I must state that Aribisala is a very big fool with no sense of responsibility, he is a standard example of the malady and palavers that have ruined dis nation from his 1st reply to d last was just a show of idiocy and stupidity. All attempts by him to derail d thread was obvious and makes me think that we shld have a Supreme Commander on NL whose duty would be to delete individuals like him without warning and if absolute power wld corrupt absolutely maybe a Supreme Council on NL should be set up to review posts and idiots like him flushed out, its obvious he's a tribalist and a very poor one at that, I learnt a lot from Thonians post and Eziachis post is not the minutes but a commentary of d minutes but how was dat supposed to bcom d bone of contention, the biafran version posted was a comprehensive document of which d minutes he's looking for is an appendix, did Aribisala go to school at all, just another classical case of an educated illiterate whose parents hav obviously wasted their funds maybe not hard earned sending him to school.

Please let's not dwell on my attack at Aribisala but pls let us consider the fact that an SNC is not viable and feasible and splitting d country along ethnic or religious lines would serve our overall interests, while we may want to conclude that it worked in d Soviet Union and Sudan pls don't 4get that beta things dat worked elsewhere hav always failed here due 2 d Nigerian factor and splitting this country shld not be considered without 1st resolving d Nigerian factor b4 a referendum or SNC can b convened we must first do away with d Nigerian factor.

In my opinion d constitution as it is can still save dis nation, I support d 20millionyouths42015 initiative to rescue our nation from d elders and start on a fresh slate let's beat d politicians at their own game!!!!
Politics / Re: Is This True About Sanusi (sls) Or A Tale Of The Old Witch? by marvix(m): 8:45pm On Feb 16, 2012
Jarus as you can see its not an easy task defending anyone, I am fed up with the Nigerians who have access to the social media, there are so many half baked graduates and educated illiterates parading them selves as activists and social commentators, facebook and all other social media may do us more harm than good, someone said GEJ was voted just on ethnic and religious reasons and I ask did he lose all d states in d north did Muslims not vote for him also, The same pple who cant stand Jonathan are d same pple who hate SLS with a passion, I am fed up with the way we criminalise individuals who are in positions of authority, we never like or believe our leaders, SLS saved ordinary Nigerians in his intervention in d banking sector but pple choose to cry ova bankas dat lost their jobs and bank owners that lost their banks, in the Soludo era the banking sector kept growing and was robust but d real sector was dwindling and not making progress, to real economists this was an abnomaly, Banks were involved in a lot of sharp practises and were complicit in d corruption that was going on in the Obj era, banks were just deposit centres keeping govt funds that were supposed to be used to pay contractors and workers salaries, I worked in a bank for abt 2yrs as a fresh graduate and it was sickening wat was d big deal earning big bucks only to wake up every day to seek customers to kip money in d bank, what is d nonsense called marketing in a bank, pple earing N100k in a service sector are better off dan bankers earnin N500k, Sanusi is not a perfect man but then should we crucify him for openly voicing his opinions
Politics / Re: Cbn Explains Kano Donation by marvix(m): 6:32pm On Feb 16, 2012
Kj hova he protected the depositors, the usual casualties wen banks fail, I was in Intercontinental bank in 2008 when in a bid to make nd declare sweet profits 4 dec we debited all savings acc bankwide of N200 as cost of new withdrawal booklet even dormant accs were debited and debit alert was blocked so customers didn't know wat they were charged for, do u hav an idea wat it means to say bank owners had lost their investments?, they don't hav the capital to even run a bank all they are playing with is depositors funds, in 2009 in preparation 4 financial year end marketers in Intercontinental were asked to go and get cheques even if they were dud cheques of N100m so dat instant values can b given b4 the cheques go for clearing and then deposit base wld b higher than what we actually have, this is wat I know personally cos I was there and a marketa also, maybe if ur dad had his life savings and d bank had gone under and he had 2 wait 4 5yrs to get N250k frm all d amount he saved u would wish death on the bank owners, shareholders and staff!!!!

Tirabubu u definitely missed it, Oniwon can not decide to pump petrol only 2 his state cos he is paid to ensure dat there is petrol all over d country but he can get NNPC to give scholarship grant to a university from his state, the IG is not doing anyone a favour by providing security anywhere in d nation but if he chooses to help a widows union he can choose his state, if dis does not make sense to u let me know?
Politics / Re: Cbn Explains Kano Donation by marvix(m): 9:30pm On Feb 15, 2012
@tiarabubu, ifr Yobe nd Borno needs it more let their indigenes assist, they definitely hav indigenes running a couple of lucrative govt establishments, I don't kno y SLS even bothered explainin abt visitin Madala church is he d one dat sent d boko haram guys there y shld he not think of his own people, if odas don't know how to help their own people shld we now blame SLS 4 helpin his own people, is there any govt organisation run by Yorubas dat u don't see d yorubas enjoyin some privilege in employment, let's stop all dis hypicrisy, SLS shld b applauded 4 identifyin with his people in times of trouble!!!!

Can we @least face d issue? Is giving money from the CBN to disaster victims wrong? I remember a story I read in my secondary school days it was about a poor man who went to a rich man in his community as he claimed he was a member of d rich man's family. The rich man asked him to come back while he thought about d request and wen d poor man went back to d rich man d rich man gave him a coin as the poor mans share of his wealth d poor man was surprised and asked how d rich man could give his relative just a coin out of all his wealth to which d rich man replied dat since according to d poor man every one from d community is his relative and they had a share of his wealth he had to share it with everyone so the coin he received was his fair share so dat wen all odas come 4 their share they would hav their fair share, so all dose askin y Sanusi did not giv Yobe nd all oda states is because its not mandatory that he should giv, so if u still want to vex u can do an Abaniwonda off d 3rd mainland bridge!!!!
Politics / Re: Cbn Explains Kano Donation by marvix(m): 6:53pm On Feb 15, 2012
Kobojunkie wateva allowed Soludo to donate 500m surely has not been removed from d CBN act, for Gods sake let's call a spade a spade SLS as Cbn gov can donate to charity and wat beta charity dan his home state afta an attack from terrorists and I read Sanusis position on boko haram and he has said it time and again that there's no justification for the boko haram activities but the reason y they are able to see youths to use 4 their activities is because of d level of poverty in d north and dat d 13% derivation allowed some southern states receive more @ d detriement of d northern states, so we shld pls put issues in proper perspectiv and grow up dis is not d 60s or 70s where a high number of the populace were ill informed and did not have access to info,
Politics / Re: Cbn Explains Kano Donation by marvix(m): 3:32pm On Feb 15, 2012
Kobojunkie u are assuming these people to be fools and wicked people who would take money 4 unjustifiable causes, but dat is not d real scenario, the pple put in boards are screened and are on oath to work in d interest of d nation, there are procedures and process for all these things if u are on a board u do not hav to b loyal to any mgt staff or executiv, there is a disaster the executiv says I want us to give a widows mite of a N10m and d board says N10m is small we can make it N50 and then approve, no body has done wrong. Now where something goes wrong is if d out of d N50m only N20m was given to the state and d board and d executive shared N30m then the EFCC nd auditors wld come in and prosecute, so my sister Kobojunkie we must put issues in perspectiv and always speak d truth just so u kno I'm from Uromi in Edo state and I don't hav any relation who was involved in d kano attack and I'm not even saying that the funds would get to the real victims but just lik I do in church afta givin my offering I don't start probing what it is used for, we hab d EFCC, the SFU in d police force to investigate how d money was spent, until we start identifyin responsibilities of individuals and agencies we wld neva b able to move 4ward as a nation
Politics / Re: Cbn Explains Kano Donation by marvix(m): 3:10pm On Feb 15, 2012
Kobojunkie is spending public money on public people with the approval of the governing board wrong?, No my sista and stop been a blind hater, if SLS took a unilateral action d board would hav been d 1st people to hang him out to dry, don't 4get d guy has worked as an auditor 4 more dan 15yrs and he is among d few we hav in dis country who understand procedures and importance of playing by d book!!!
Politics / Re: Cbn Explains Kano Donation by marvix(m): 2:59pm On Feb 15, 2012
Jarus I don't think he goofed even if no one has done something lik dis b4 SLS dared to b diff, pls let's put it in d proper perspective, was giving public funds to a public cause a bad thing? Is he compelled to donate to every disaster spot?,
Politics / Re: Cbn Explains Kano Donation by marvix(m): 2:15pm On Feb 15, 2012
Potut, one question pls, have we scrapped d Federal character, do we still use d federal character in making govt appointments, if u feel seriously burdened abt state of affairs in ur state u don't hav to head d agency b4 u send ur proposal/request to the head or board for consideration, let's stop deceiving ourselves is SLS d only Kano man heading an agency that could giv a donation, all those states u are talkin abt don't they hav their indigenes in one position or d other?, lik I said let's put issues in their proper perspective creating new agencies is not d issue we hav more than a 100 agencies today in Nigeria, the NCC can giv a better donation, the NUC is there just visit Abj and u will b surprised d num of agencies we hav 2day, is d chairman of d CBN board frm Kano? If he also wants something 4 his state he would need to justify it to the board if not they won't get!
Politics / Re: Cbn Explains Kano Donation by marvix(m): 1:56pm On Feb 15, 2012
Mayowaak do all those states not have an indigene in any govt or private establishment that could intervene with their own corporate social responsibility or ar u assumin dat its only d CBN dat has a vote 4 CSRs, y shld SLS use d CSR funds in his agency to assist other states when indigenes of those states who cld also do that are using their CSRs to throw parties and support their wives NGOs or businesses, CSRs hav been abused 4 a long time and so we don't hear abt it dats y its now almost sounding so strange to u guys that someone could help his own state with a 100m, if I was in SLS shoes I won't even make any donation to d Madalla church and instead stick to my guns and explain y I hav given Kano, if anyone feels specially 4 d people dat have died else where giv ur own contribution either as an individual or a corporate entity!!!!!
Politics / Re: Cbn Explains Kano Donation by marvix(m): 1:48pm On Feb 15, 2012
Jarus thanks for the enlightenment, blind haters would still complain!!!!, Now they are asking how much you were paid, how much were they paid to castigate SLS how much was Falana paid to cause the rabble, or is Falana unaware of CSRs?, Nigeria is a big joke, the youths have no clue and cant place issues in their proper context, once they hear money their conclusion is that it is been stolen, u give public money to help the public what more do people want?
Politics / Re: N100m Donation: Falana Calls For Sanction Against Sanusi by marvix(m): 11:27am On Feb 15, 2012
ndu_chucks:

.

Stop pretending to be uninformed - we know better. Sanusi is not sharing anyone's money, he simply awarded a few million naira in grants from CBN's multi million naira community programs budget. We are thankful that Sanusi did not divert the said funds to his own pocket, unlike certain people we know.

In all the replies I read this was the only reply that made sense. A lot of graduates and commentators here are at best "Educated Illiterates". The CBN like all other agencies and corporations have a budget for community programs, this is where ministries and agencies take funds to sponsor events and shows, visit motherless babies home and do any other charity works that catch their fancy, I am surprised that other agencies have not even identified with any of the victims. Sanusi is from kano state and it only rests on him to be able to use his position to get the CBN to make a donation to his own state in a time of disaster.

The money is public money and it was used for a public purpose so why all the ranting??
Politics / Re: I Can't Believe This! Trains In Ibadan![with Pictures] by marvix(m): 10:55am On Feb 15, 2012
People complaining that this is not bullet trains and all that should please take a back seat, if these trains had been workin since the 80s wont we all be clamouring for a change would it not have been obvious that they need a change, a journey of a million miles even if u will be flying by a plane you must begin with a step outside your room, is it not obvious that the govt has not even publicised it that trains are working its just an average Nigerian who sees this and is impressed has put it online for us to atleast know that its not only Boko Haram that is working, the Minister of power has promised that additional 6000MW would definitely beadded before the year end, are u also aware that the naira has been firming to the dollar due to the investigation into the fuel subsidy payments and the cleaning up going on in the petroleum sector, are u aware that the PH airport is undergoing a rehabilitation, the PH refineries are already been repaired, for all critics you will continue complaining until everyone leaves u and say, Abegiiiii if to say Obasanjo do all this one since na here we for still dey, I would like to see a serious opposition in 2015 to unseat the PDP and Jonathan but it should not be because Jonathan failed in delivery but because we can deliver something better, #20millionyouth42015

Yes Bruce makes a lot of sense and I think Bayelsa is ripe for a change, d incumbent can lose @ d primaries, I don't know if Bruce, Alaibe and Sylva were cleared, but if all are cleared then its possible 2 have Alaibe nd Sylva cancel themselves out while Bruce takes d day, but I'll advice that if he loses @ d primary he shld remain, there is nothing 2 gain by optin out, he shld hav started frm outside d pdp initially!

Politics / Re: Jonathan Proves To Be The Worst Leader! by marvix(m): 7:57pm On Nov 08, 2011
I think we have had enough of all this arguements on this forum and its time we put this to rest.

There are three types of people on this forum with respect to the Presidential elections 2011.

Those who did not support or believe in Jonathan during the elections, they are in the majority in this forum, evidence of this go check the polls on this forum when we were approaching the elections, these set of people are still the ones complaining about his administration. My advise to them calm down he has won an election free and square and if u think Nigerians made a mistake when they had the opportunity to change the leadership, pls note that is also an achievement of Jonathan cos he created the atmosphere where it would have been possible to change him if the majority did not want him.

The second type of people here are those who supported Jonathan for the wrong reasons, reasons like he is from the Niger Delta, He can solve Power problems in One year, He did not wear shoes when going to school, he was an academic doctor and all other mudane reasons these people are also high in number on this forum but not as much as those who did not give him a chance, now this group are disenchanted because the role of the president is not a father christmas role and there are no magic wands to wave to make everything destroyed in 25yrs right in one year. These people have joined the group that did not give GEJ a chance and now make it seem like majority of those who voted for Jonathan are now disenchanted with his style of govt.

Then the third group are those who believe in Jonathan and know that the challenges of nation building is not a tea party and that Jonathan will not and can not solve all the problems. We look at Jonathan as a foundation builder and the man to continue with yaraduas foundation and ensure that the infrastructural framework to set us on the right path is put in place. We have always been in the minority in this forum, and we still keep faith with Jonathan not because I expect that my family in Jos is safer with him as president or that my folks in Maiduguri are safer as he serves, but because he represents a new order and we are convinced that the future has begun.

The issue of Boko Haram is not backed by any idealogy but just a raw desire of some folks to get power at all costs,  two wrongs will not make a right, if some folks have decided that bombing is the way to get attention it would be wrong to go out and exchange bombs with them and kill more innocent citizens in the process and even give them some sympathies, we must not allow them ffeel justified in their unprovoked attack on the govt or innocent citizens, that the SSS is not able to contain these people and the Military is yet to clamp these people down and the Police seems helpless in this battle is not totally Jonathans fault cos if the infrastructure has been put in place in the last 15yrs to ensure that these agencies can work profesionally then we would not even be bothered about these threats today, it is past failures that are responsible for the security challenges and those who caused this problems had this in mind so that in an event where they want to embarass the man in govt thye can do this just like they are doing now or is anyone expecting us to gather intels from the space just like that

I voted for Jopnathan and I believe he is doing a good job and if there is an election today I will cast my vote once again for him and campaign for him again like I did last year and early this yr.

The OP that thinks Jonathan will be the worst president ever I say hold ur peace and let him finish his tenure then we can then analyse and all come to a conclusion if he is indeed the worst president ever or best president ever.
