I wholeheartedly agree with you. In 2004, I spent 2 days on lagos-Ibadan expressway Easter period when redeem, mountain of fire, deeper life, one Muslim group were all holding retreat on the road at the same time
I was on that road that same day you were talking about, I can never forget.

In the north, these same Muslims block federal highway to hold Friday jumat prayers. Imagine blocking a whole abuja-kaduna expressway, Suleija- Minna highway etc
same way we christian block lagos express way for camp, the issue is we should learn how to practice our religion without disturbing others.

The way some people think sef is baffling.

In as much as i hate noise, some things ought to be tolerated.

In as much as he won't see anything wrong in the various calls to prayer everyone is subjected to on a daily basis, the jumat sermons and the various tafsirs and Ramadan lectures we are about to start witnessing as we approach Ramadan, i don't see why this should make him act lyk...
no noise should be tolerated either religious or otherwise, you can only tolerate it if it is a one off even but for an event that occurs every time, its not acceptable, Noise can actually kill u if you are not careful, they increase your stress level.

Listen Saraki is a Yoruba word just like Gambari (the word for fulani) ...jst like Seriki
What we say is that they are borrowed words from the north

English language is 80% borrowed words

Start using common sense please
I understand you very well I know seriki is a borrowed word,i might be wrong but in what context have you heard yorubas use the word saraki?some one just said saraki eniyan means popular person and I said have never heard of such before in yoruba language, we all know what seriki means and what gambari too but the word or name saraki is not Yoruba in any way or form.

Your great great grandfather was from Mali, but your father's surname was Saraki: a yoruba surname; Your father's first name was Sola, he married a yoruba woman and he named his son: Bukola & his daughter: Gbemisola.
Now tell us how un-fulani can you get, stop dwelling on the confused foundations of Ilorin to peddle political lies. A real fulani man will never bear a yoruba name, because every African is proud of their heritage, and our names serve as a reminder of where we come from.
saraki is not a Yoruba name for God's sakes.the name saraki is same as Turaki.

PMB has shown so much class and resilience in the face of political jesters. Did he goof by saying West Germany? Yes, but who doesn't? Do we refer to NEPA instead of PHCN? Yes - so what's the difference? Is Merkel a Nigerian name? No. So why must PMB be subjected to pronounce it right?

Again, we must desist from calling the president names. What in the world is "Daura President"? This must stop! Let us join Hands and support PMB who means well for the progress of this country!

-CramJones
Oga pls stop he is our president?Nigerians are free to call him whatever they want, people asked us to stop calling Gej names we asked them to go and hug transformer, our president need to update his self in so many matters, that doesn't mean he does not have the zeal to make things right.

We thought the change would bring about a new change in the upper chamber to have the opposition hold this post, only to have an Ekweremadu (PDP) retaining his position and Mark (PDP) as Senate leader. Saraki's emergence is called Chess Politics.

Frawzey
how many time will they tell you that there is nothing like senate leader? Mark was sworn in 1st because he was former senate president, its a mark of respect nothing more.the party members choose their leaders both majority and minority

PoliticsRe: Bukola Saraki Is The Judas Iscariot Of Nigeria By Dr. Wumi Akintide by masseratti: 12:34pm On Jun 10, 2015
Better rest your case ogbeni, the president did nothing wrong? The National assembly has to be independent, if they had allowed the party members to go ahead and choose whoever they want among themselves this won't happen, ACN shot the first salvo nothing wrong if PDP took an advantage, honestly if APC mean business they should just sanction the erring members and make this does not happen again, a better rule would have being to allow the senate majority leader or house majority or both minority leaders to assume the position of President and speakers respectively, after which a new leader will be elected by the member of the party in the senate or HoA,they should quit winning reconcile and move on,learn from mistakes, also I wish this will also trickle down to the state house of assembly, the independence of the assembly must be achieved.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Has Started Humiliating Tinubu: Atiku & Fashola The Pointsmen by masseratti: 9:42pm On Jun 09, 2015
Stop all the calculation, Buhari had no time in doing things the wrong way,you can't choose ministers for the President or impose the leaders of the house and senate on them,it is just plain wrong, Tinubu should have taken a back seat and let people in the party evolve without influencing anything anymore, that way he will command the people respect, you don't force respect you earn it.Gbaja would have won if Tinubu didn't interfere.

Ok, his Father is half yoruba because he has a yoruba mother?
Now, what do we call a son of a half yoruba father, with a yoruba mother? 3/4 yoruba? I'm sure, Bukola's Children are now 100% yoruba because their mother is yoruba too?gringringrin

I know you'll believe me if I tell you I'm fulani, had my Great Grand Father- who certainly got to Ilorin before Bukola's Grand Father- decided to stay there, changed his name and religion.grin
But my fulani brothers who really knöw me won't buy that shit.
The Sarakis are fulanis if they say so.
lol funny guy....well we tend to align more with our paternal lineage than maternal, hour has the liberty to choose anywhere he want.

Do you know Sango too was Half Yoruba, EVen Oduduwa came from the middle east and Oyo empire used to be in the now Kebbi/Niger state

So all these he is Fulani he is Hausa is nonsense

Bukola is a Yoruba name, Saraki is a Yoruba name
at no time was Oyo empire in kerbing or Niger state, the Old Oyo ruins are still there in the Old Oyi National park right between OYO state and Kwara state,Sango is a myth for now, no proof but if you want to go with oral history yes,his mother was a tapa/Nupe but his Father a Yoruba man,In the case of the Sarakis their paternal lineage is fulani while the maternal is Yoruba.

Saraki is not a Yoruba name,if it is what's the meaning in Yoruba?
PoliticsRe: APC Rejects Saraki, Dogara As Senate President, Speaker by masseratti: 6:14pm On Jun 09, 2015
Story for the Gods, next time the party will encourage whoever is vying for a post in the national assembly to garner votes from other parties, this endorsement and anointing of leaders must be stopped.the party is a platform the executive and legislature are arms of government, allow it's members to take their own decisions, I stand with Buhari on this.

The guy you are quoting himself admitted that the Saraki's see themselves as Fulani (irrespective pf the reason), so I don't know why he is still arguing. He cannot force the Saraki's to be Yoruba if they say they aren't.

Stick to what you know best, not this one.
I've told you it's political.
Do you want Saraki to say he's yoruba so that his influence will crash?
The Fulanis in Ilorin know themselves. The Emir knows his fellow fulanis.
This's not my headache anyway and it doesn't matter if he's Yoruba or Fulani now. What matters now is that a certain Sen. Bukola Saraki of Kwara Central is now the Senate Presidentsmiley
you didn't read the part that I said his father said he is half yoruba and half fulani? If what matters to you is the fact that he came from Kwara centre, no one is disputing that with you,but to say he does not have any fulani influence in him is a big lie.
PoliticsRe: Why Are PDP Members Rejoicing When Saraki And Dogara Are APC Members? by masseratti: 5:29pm On Jun 09, 2015
Why did ACN members rejoiced when Tambuwal a member of PDP emerge speaker, the lesson must be learnt by all If you want to command respect follow due process and don't interfere, that what Buhari did Tinubu and Obj at the different time wanted to play God,and it backfired.

What's your point? Is it not the same Ilorin where I spent half my time so far?
What if he's from Kaiama? Does that change the fact that I know him more than you do? Is Agbaji, the supposed, Bukola's hometown in Ilorin West sounds fulani to you?
The fulanis in Ilorin know themselves.
really?do you understand the word "assimilation"? Or you are going to tell me that the Emir of ilorin is also Yoruba? The Fulanis are nomadic and the settle everywhere they can,Saraki father said he is half fulani and half yoruba and you want to kill yourself claiming to know him, definitely I won't disclose any type of relationship I might have with him on a faceless fora.
PoliticsRe: TINUBU: Always Getting The Job Done. Femi Gbaja Is Next Speaker. by masseratti: 4:25pm On Jun 09, 2015
Tinubu just lost, too much power intoxicate,he should have just allow the APC members to choose their own leader and not support a particular candidate, National Assembly is not Lagos state house of Assembly, if he had allowed them to choose their own leader the pdp would not have had the chance of breaking the ranks.

You will be amazed to see a lot of people speaking fluent Yoruba but they will tell you they are not Yorubas.I pray Femi wins btw.

Really!!!!!!

Yoruba names must be that alluring that they decided to pick up yoruba names and jettison their timbuktu names and culture.

Laughing in Mandarin.
well the Fulanis pick 1st names from places they are assimilating with, same with the emir of ilorin,he has a Yoruba name, places that they ruled from Sokoto to adamawa, nupe where you have fulani emirs they adobe the name of the the people of the place to make the people think they are one, they will marry from the people but they will never give out their daughters out for the people to marry.
