Some comment are so funny. For me i will define responsible person like this: a person that RESPOND TO ABILITY (RESPONSE + ABILITY). In other words it means responding to what u can/ought do. It has more to do with morals n hw u respond to issues around u than hw u dress. Someone ask a good question if mechanics are not responsible since they are rough n dirty. Being responsible has nothing to do with age either. We have seen mature men n women who neglect their children n family. However, money may drive someone to responsible yet we have seen irresponsible rich fellas around. In conclusion, i repeat that being responsible is ur character n hw u react to issues around u. |

Car Talk › Re: Dangers Of Buying Vehicles From Cotonou by master2(m): 11:26am On May 11, 2012 |
ikakahu: people should stop telling lies in order to get customers/clients.I totally agree with kunle A.It was all about about this 48 hrs(2 days) period of car delivery that made me venture into such a deal. After 1 wk and 2 days,I ve not yet got my delivery although the biz was not done with the poster but with another dealer who also promised that I will get the car under 48 hrs.My anger here is even if its going to take a month, tell your customer the truth. The most annoying part is that all the gist the guy told me about buying a car in cotonou were all false ranging from prizes to duration of delivery. When you get there,it ll be another story again. From stories to stories. You may even find out that you ve spent more what you would have bought the car in lagos although my main concern was to choose from varieties and not cost cos of my high taste(not by my making) BUT I MUST SAY THE TRUTH THAT I EVEN BOUGHT THE CAR MORE EXPENSIVE THAN I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT IT IN LAGOS.I ve vowed never to venture into such a deal again as next time I ve it in my to get another car,I will simply walk into car shop here in naija .Its only good for those that want to smuggle their cars to nigeria but if you want to pay full duty,my brother,my sister, buy it here in naija or even look for a reliable friend or relation that will buy it for you in U.S. lest I forget,They told me that cotonou people don t work their cars, that they sell it as it comes but that's a clear lie which I confirmed by my self. They have workshops where they work accident cars and some of these workshops are even within the auto sales yard.I tell you,it was a bitter experience and a case of misinformation and I believe that most people must have experienced this as well.Even when I told two of my friends about this, they equally told me that they had such an ugly experience too, that if i had told them that I was going to cotonou to buy the car, that they would have discouraged me.I don t have time because of my busy schedule but I promised my self that I am going to put a write up as regards this.PLS IF YOU KNOW THAT YOU HAD A DECENT DEAL IN COTONOU,COME AND SHARE IT HERE BUT IF YOU THAT YOU HAD AN UGLY ONE,ALSO EDUCATE OTHERS SO THAT THEY DON T MAKE MISTAKES.
One more important advice, never change a huge sum of amount when going. You can change like 20K so that when you ve have seen by yourself and confirmed that all they told you were lies, you can kindly come back to naija and chang your money to naira and you won t loose so much money.I was cajoled into changing over a million naira and when I saw the truth,I notice that changing the money back would result to more losses and what if being robbed on the way?So that was a serious challenge to me too as I had no option than to buy there.
I am not here to ridicule any body's bussiness but just the sincere truth and experience is what am sharing with you because if you are not well informed, you will be deformed and you know what that means.ALWAYS BE TRUTHFUL!!! God bless u. Exactly what u said was my experience @ cotonu. Infact the agent is yet to return my N30k despite all the expense incurred. |

Candid05: The Bishop is living in another world of pure imagination. There are some unanswered questions. Where in the Bible did Jesus slap or insult witches or those who do any wrong? Does the 'Man of God' know anything about respecting people's human rights? Does it mean he failed that day to ostracize the 'demonic spirit' of witchcraft from the girl that is why she could keep going back to their meetings after the slap? Does it occur to him that he is not talking to a bunch of hypnotized morons? If it is true that the 'lady-witch' that he slapped came back to beg him, then what happened next? Did that 'beg' convert the girl to another 'born-again' or it gave her the license and freedom to go on operating as a witch or even progress to become the 'leading witch in Nigeria'? Did anyone expect the church members to query him? No. The man and others like him are 'God-like' and whatever they do is right. No wonder more and more Nigerians who still have their sanity intact would worship at home rather than get their chance of salvation messed up by such 'religious leaders'. All these people making excuses for him should simply re-examine their line of reasoning. After all the Bible say 'come lets reason together'. For those who say he did not force anyone to come to his church, i pity you. A church is a public place that anyone should feel free to go to. More over, it is the place that your rights should be protected and safety more assured. It is not supposed to be anybody's personal property even though there would always be leaders that God used to bring the church to manifestation. Did Jesus not call sinners to come to him? Was it to insult and abuse them? No. If you don't want just anybody there then it is no more a church but a den for a selected few to protect each other's interest at all cost. I know Winners Chapel is not such a secret place except if anyone prove to me to be otherwise. For those disturbing us with long Bible quotations of not worshiping other gods except God, they are being judgmental over the young lady. What is their proof that she is a witch 'worshiping other Gods'? Can they prove 100% that NONE of their members worship other gods after leaving the church? Other gods are not only graven images and charms but it is also by placing your hope and trust in things like money, a human being, politicians, etc. For those asking us to leave the anointed man of God alone, they just make me laugh. No one was there when anybody was anointed so the only way he can prove it to us is by his actions and speech of doing good and avoiding evil, preaching and living by the word the words the way that Jesus did, etc. Look, we all respect that office and not every one can function in that office but if you chose to do so, then it is your responsibility, under the unction and wisdom of God, to live permanently in the approved way of God. In as much as no one should judge him, then he has no right to judge others, simple. Demon is spiritual and he need spiritual action to get rid of it and not physical action like slapping. As one of his admirers, he owe us an apology for allowing the violent part of his human nature to over take the meek and gentle part of his spiritual calling Gbam! God bless. |

Romance › Re: Pls Don't Judge Me Harshly But I Seem To Be Falling For Married Men by master2(m): 5:39am On Dec 05, 2011 |
$ugardaddy: @OP The only problem I have with you here is that these men are in the same work environment as you, things could really go messy unlike if you all were working in different establishments and at least separated by some distances, no matter how small. Some of us married men are not as bad as we are being portrayed here. So long as you're only out to catch fun and nothing more, you're just fine. I had a single girl in her early twenties then that I dated for a little close tor 3yrs. She was not interested in breaking my home & I wasn't interested in marrying her either. It all started as the usual fun-seeking adventure but later turned out as an opportunity to help an indigent friend, her sibblings & her widowed mother. Today, she's happily married & all those gists about her dating a married man are now history. But the beauty of it all is that today, I feel so happy that I was able to positively impact the life of a fellow human who was less privileged. As a married man, I'd rather date a single girl & find a way to make her useful to herself in life than accept all these married women (some of whom are on this thread) who are even more than ready to spend their husband's money to get guys to lay them. BTW, I started ssex outside marriage when I discovered that my wife whom I didn't sleep with until the night of our wedding has a very low sex drive. While it is very normal for me to do like 5 rounds a day, it is a very big problem for her to meet up with this even in a week & I am not exagerrating here. The only option left for me to keep my sanity & my marriage was to seek satisfaction outside. Imagine the men in question here whose families are abroad while they live alone here in naija. How do you expect such men to cope emotionally? In essence, some of you single girls that are usually branded all sorts of dirty names in this kind of situation are actually nothing but innocent marriage-savers. So, follow your mind but pls don't double-date. Best wishes In nairaland everybody seems to be agent of good moral. @ sugardaddy, although i agree with u to some extent, i disagree completely on ur idea of charity n helping the less privilege. As some one said charity is helping without expecting a return. |

Well, judgment is in the hands of God. You 3 above said that the man of God T.B. Joshua is a lunatic and a scam. I believe that you people were saying what you stated above because you are blind and as a result of your ignorance to be able to know who T.B.Joshua is. If you are in spirit, you need not to condenm. The Sky News that posed as Aids patients and went to SCOAN in London to be healed goes to show you that they went there for a purpose, just to discredit the church of God and the man of God senior Prophet T.B Joshua because of their ignorance. I cannot blame Sky news because they are of this world. Our problem in the whole world is “Tongue Problem". T.B. Joshua is not the healer. He NEVER claimed to be the healer. Jesus Christ is the healer. He is the messenger of God. Doing the works of God for the glory of God. T.B Joshua never said he is God or Jesus. Why do men condemn him?
He T. B. Joshua has been helping the needy and giving scholarships to millions of less privileged children that were not his biological children, the widow and the widower. He has given hope to the less privileged through out the society.
Well, he, T. B. Joshua will NEVER ever challenge you people over your comments, rather he will still be praying for you people because he is not of this world. He is only accountable to the man who sent him, God Almighty.
I pray, you understand the gravity of your comments because you will surely give accounts of your comments in the presence of God God. God bless u for saying the truth. If TB Joshua is fake leave am like that, the ppl he help like am so. And only God can judge him. U ppl should castigate the politician n ritualist that kill us daily directly or indirectly. |

jensinmi: It appears some folks fail to notice that every country in the world, irrespective of their situation, attempts to confer an advantage to its populace and local businesses. EVERY COUNTRY!!.
Forget about the UK and USA and Norway that you are talking about.
Why do you think import tariffs and quotas exist? Why do you think the U.S.A places import tariffs on Brazilian Biofuel? Simple. . because Sugar Cane is indigenous to Brazil and is a more efficient means of producing Biofuel in comparison to the Corn produced by U.S Farmers. As a result, the U.S Government places tariffs on Brazilian Biofuel that make the landing price unfavorable.
Open your eyes and look around the world, you'll see countries protecting their local producers and populace.
Why did the U.S have quotas on Japanese made cars several years ago? Quotas that essentially forced those companies like Toyota to open factories in the U.S.
It is only delusional people that believe in a complete free market. Why are American companies offshoring to get better prices?
If Venezuela sells fuel for N10 per litre, to whose benefit is it? is it not to the people and companies there? Does it not give them an advantage. Is it wrong to give your people an advantage.
The U.S government subsidizes The American Agricultural sector to a mind blowing extent. To the point wherein America produces half the grain produced on this entire planet in one year. That is AMERICA PRODUCES 50% OF ALL GRAIN PRODUCED ON EARTH ANNUALLY!!!
If Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and other countries choose to sell for lower, it is to their advantage.
So. . . Mr/Ms Aribisala0. . . .
HERE IS MY CHALLENGE TO YOU:
WILL YOU SEND YOUR CHILD TO A NIGERIAN PUBLIC SCHOOL WHEN YOU CAN AFFORD A PRIVATE SCHOOL JUST BECAUSE IT CONFERS NUMEROUS ADVANTAGES TO YOUR CHILD OVER THE AVERAGE CHILD??
If no, then why can't a country give its population an advantage. If Benin and Niger can't give their citizens, is it our problem?
That is like saying because your neighbor cannot afford to send his son to a good private school, therefore you'll tell your son to sit at home or go to the run down public school.
Equivalent to your daughter asking you for money for books and you telling her that since your neighbor doesn't give his daughter, you won't give her, despite the fact you have more than enough cash
Haba. People should think of helping others.
Since when did Nigeria and Benin become the same category. Are Benin and Niger as blessed as Nigeria.
The Bible says "To Whom much is given, much is required."
BTW. . . go look up how much Norway adds to the price of its gasoline. You'll find out that it taxes its populace dearly. Same as the UK. And that is only because the populace can afford to pay. Those prices reflect tariffs and taxes and never the cost of production.
The Median Household Income in the U.S.A is $43,625 (over N6.8 million) yet they are whining and crying each time gasoline prices reach $4/gallon (N160 per litre)
Yet you look at Nigerians and say that they should pay the same price despite the Median Household Income not even reaching N300,000. And your reason for this is that people in Niger and Benin are paying same price.
In some places in Europe, an apple costs over $1, why not start selling food to Nigerians for that same rate.
COOL DOWN JOR. God bless u for this analysis. U are truly educated! |
