Politics / Re: Kebbi: Why FG Didn’t Allow Us Close FGC Yauri Despite Intelligence On Bandit by Masterchef(m): 6:09pm On Jun 19, 2021 |
fitzmayowa: The government labelled these terrorists 'bandits' for a reason. It's for the same reason the Nigerian army gets 'orders from above' before they can shoot at Boko Haram terrorists. The police knew where these bandits were and had 2 weeks to launch an offensive. Unfortunately, the order did not come from above. Shouldn't some people be sacked over this? 1 Like |

Politics / Re: Gunmen Kidnap 4 Chinese Railway Workers In Ogun, Kill Policeman by Masterchef(m): 5:16pm On Jun 17, 2021 |
Eriokanmi: One of the few sensible posts here but it's so sad seeing Nigerian youths trivialising important issues on this forum. This has got nothing to do with Yorubas or Ibos or Hausas. The story here is that people suspected to be Fulani herdsmen struck again. At this time, shouldnt all be speaking with one voice in support of state policing and engagement of formal police informants across the country? Yesterday, BBC Hausa reported how Boko Haram dealt a blow on the Nigerian Army and took away loads of military hardware. Yet, no single news media in Nigeria reported same. Neither has the Military responded with reinforcement in retaliation. We've heard from this same government at all levels that there are Boko Haram backers and informants in government. Boko Haram now pays recruits multiples of the government's minimum wage . We also heard that some BDC operators that were funding BH were arrested but up till now, we've not seen any pictures nor sentences. Buhari once told us these Fulanis are not Nigerians. The next minute he said killer herdsmen are not terrorists? This is how we arrived at calling them 'bandits' whom Gumi, Malami, Bala Mohammed and others have come out to openly defend. Even with police escorts, this particular kidnap happened just as the FGGC Yauri girls were abducted depute having scores of mobile policemen protecting them. Aren't these serious isuues or must we wait until our friends and relations fall victim? |
Politics / Re: EFCC To File 800 New Corruption Cases, Vows To Re-Prosecute Orji Kalu by Masterchef(m): 4:22pm On Jun 17, 2021 |
Heard from reliable sources that the illiterate Orji Uzo Kalu was brazenly transferring government's money into his company's accounts in the crudest of manners. It should therefore frighten the good people of Abia State that it's taking EFCC so much sweat to put this common thief behind bars for a long time. Apparently, OUK is now a cash cow and it's the turn of the new EFCC boss to 'chop' what eluded him years back |
Politics / Re: Primate Ayodele To MURIC: You Are A Disgrace For Comparing Buhari To Jesus by Masterchef(m): 12:06pm On Jun 17, 2021 |
Esseite: Excellent post and this is the point. Religion is a personal belief. As such, a Muric bigot who doesn't believe in Christianity (his valid right) as the only way to salvation has no grounds to extol Christ above Mohammed except he's just out to cause controversy as usual. Beyond that, religious has no place in governance just like in business. Among Buhari's campaign lies to Nigerians were to make $1 = N1, build economic clusters within each of the geopolitical zones and personally lead the war against Boko Haram. |
Politics / Re: Military Bombard Bandits In North-West, North-Central Forests by Masterchef(m): 11:12am On Jun 16, 2021 |
There'll never be pictures because this government sees bandits as Northern freedom fighters. Besides, how much does a bomb cost? There might even be corruption behind these audio bombings. |
Car Talk / Re: VP Osinbajo Drives Kona, Nigerian-Made Electric Car At #MadeInNigeria Exhibition by Masterchef(m): 5:53pm On Jun 15, 2021 |
There's no way that car could have been made in Nigeria. I can bet no single part in it was made locally. Way back, Nigeria used to have Volkswagen, Peugeot, Leyland, Anamco and STEYR. More than 20 years ago, Nigeria also had Exide (making Batteries) , Isoglass (Windshields), Dunlop & Michelin (for Tyres), Vono Products (making seats for locally assembled cars and trucks) and Ferodo (making brake pads) etc. Today, we don't even have stable electricity to power this type of cars. So, this is like the mumu VP Just celebrating his mediocrity. 2 Likes |
Politics / Re: Wole Soyinka: Buhari’s Comments On Open Grazing Unfortunate by Masterchef(m): 4:36pm On Jun 15, 2021 |
The US, Brazil, the European Union, China, India, Argentina, Australia and Mexico produce over 85% of the world's livestock and beef. These guys don't have grazing routes nor engage in open grazing!! As such, it's frightening when this stubborn Buhari is in support of the crude way his people wants to practice this livestock business. Can't Buhari or his Ministers for Agriculture, Labour & Employment, Interior, Science & Technology etc. read and learn from others? Instead of Buhari having his kinsmen overrunning farms across the country, they can acquire loans from banks to build ranches. It's their private businesses. They can also grow hay right there on these ranches and have a meat processing facility for exports. Buhari also needs to learn that agric science offers some very fast growing teff and soghurm grasses which is one industry that can also be developed on the Iivestock food chain! As such, this is like killing 2 birds with one stone. So I imagine how a country that has produced brilliant, sound minded and accomplished people like Chinua Achebe, Wole Soyinka, Prof. Ayodele Awojobi, Akinwunmi Adeshina, Okonjo Iweala, Abubakar Dangiwa Umar, Gani Fawehinmi, Mallam Aminu Kano, Balarabe Musa, Olikoye Ransome-Kuti, Tunde Idiagbon, Adeoye Lambo, Dora Akunyili etc. ended up having one mor*n as the president? 1 Like |
Politics / Buhari's Niger Rep. Rail Project vs Niger-Benin Export Pipeline by Masterchef(m): 11:56am On Jun 15, 2021 |
In Buhari's recent interview with Arise TV, he didn't hide his obsession for the Niger Rep. and ignorantly justified why he's expending scarce resources on building rail lines right into Maradi, Niger Rep. His only valid explanation was the fact that he has first cousins across the borders. He then made further mockery of himself and his tutors when he tried to explain to us that 'we don't want to cut Niger off' because they now have oil. Even kids have heard that Niger Rep. not only discovered oil but they now export refined petroleum products to Nigeria. Meanwhile, Niger had always depended on Nigeria for petrol and diesel. Buhari probably doesn't know this and feels no shame in it that we were over 40 years ahead of Niger when it comes to refining crude oil. So who's cutting the other off? While Buhari is building a rail up to Maradi in Niger to transport crude oil and other stuffs, his cousins on the other side have since started the construction of a 2000 km cross-border crude oil pipeline from their Agadem Rift Basin to Seme Port in the Rep. of Benin. Niger Rep. indeed shunned prospects of building a 150 km pipeline to a refinery proposed for Katsina (Buhari's own home state) for a 20 times longer pipeline at an estimated cost of $1.5m per km. A major question is, what became of our foreign policies and Buhari's ties to his cousins across the border? Tomorrow, Niger might as well build a rail line into Benin Republic. Related to this is the fight against Boko Haram and banditary. It's for the same reason that Niger Rep. has French airfields and and American drone bases in their country but whereas no square meter of Nigerien soil is safe for Boko Haram, same terrorists occupt vast territories in Nigeria. So why was Buhari fooling Nigerians? https://www.euro-petrole.com/savannah-petroleum-plc-signature-of-niger-benin-export-pipeline-transportation-convention-n-i-19384 https://dailytrust.com/amp/why-construction-of-katsina-refinery-stalled https://nigerinter.com/2021/05/terrorisme-dans-le-bassin-du-lac-tchad-cuisante-defaite-de-boko-haram-a-diffa/ |

Politics / Re: Insecurity: El-Rufai Reveals Why States Must Co-Operate by Masterchef(m): 3:26am On Jun 11, 2021 |
Ita Enang started this buck passing. Buhari's interview immediately followed the same script. Then this midget. When SW and SE came together to form Amotekun and Ebubeagwu, respectively, it was same Buhari, through Malami and other hypocrits in their clout that started crying blue murder. |
Politics / Re: Arise Interview: Buhari Evasive, Dodgy, Claimed Our Projects - PDP by Masterchef(m): 10:46pm On Jun 10, 2021 |
I watched the interview and here's a fair summary. Buhari used the opportunity to pass the buck to previous governments and the current bunch of governors. His composure was poor, responses depicted elementary view points, he's pro-open grazing, his use of the English language was embarrassing and he made a mockery of his position the way he laughed over a few serious issues. Where he wanted to make a point, he was not convincing on why rail and roads infrastructure have Rep. of Niger's crude oil as a focus. 1 Like |

I wonder why Malami, especially, doesn't think before he talks. Last time it was about comparing honest spare parts dealers to marauding herdsmen. These guys are always giving Buhari and the government bad publicity, perhaps for a reason. |
Politics / Re: Lai Mohammed: Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB, The Main Reason Twitter Was Banned by Masterchef(m): 3:59pm On Jun 08, 2021 |
Kanu was many times careless with him tweets but I don't think he's a major influencer in the scheme of things happening in the South East. On the other hand, government, by Buhari's tweet demonstrated the highest level of irresponsibility unexpected of government anywhere. Tweeter did the right thing. Fact is there are millions of Ibos who only want to conduct their businesses and put food on the table for their families. Apart from this, a vast number of Nigerians depend on Twitter for many positive things. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Onyema was forced to summon the envoys as the 0meeting made no sense and he probably never believed it will hold. But it's shameful a minister can't plan a hitch-free meeting. Ask them to buy just a 1kVA inverter for that meeting room, they'll say it costs N5m or more |
Politics / Re: Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita Booed, Chased Away From Wedding In Katsina by Masterchef(m): 4:10am On Jun 08, 2021 |
For as long as Nigeria's constitution treats Senators as being more important than Councillors and Local Government Chairpersons, who are closest to the masses, Nigeria will never develop. |

Politics / Re: 2023: Nigerians In Diaspora Endorse Yahaya Bello, Set Up Office In Germany by Masterchef(m): 1:18pm On Jun 06, 2021 |
MadeINchenzen2: You can't be more correct! Yahaya Bello of all people you have in Nigeria? Even Ganduje is 100 times better than him in terms of performance. Better to pick any Nigerian from the streets at random. However, at this point in time, Nigerians don't even need individuals. They're simply asking for affordable education, healthcare, power, clean water, an export based economy and so on. Politics / Re: Femi Adesina Lists Buhari's Achievements In 6 Years by Masterchef(m): 1:17am On May 29, 2021 |
He achieved all of this yet the Naira fell from N199 to N412 in 6 years? What a shameless government In the same same period, Nigeria's foreign debt also increased from $9b to over $30b. Unemployment similarly increased by over 20%. Price of petrol increased from N110 to N166. Both GDP and GDP per capita failed to grow whereas our GDP should be at least 4 times where we are today for Nigeria to be a better place. This government won't even patronize made-in-Nigeria cars for elected officials. They recently reduced tariffs on new cars from abroad so we create jobs overseas for foreigners. Who are the people in Buhari's economic team? Boko Haram's activities have now extended beyond the NE to the North Central & NW while Bandits (Boko affiliate) carried their activities as far as the SW? A former COAS even said the ongoing war can't be won in 20 years. Same is now an ambassador nominee. All the refineries remain dysfunctional. Why on earth will Nigeria start importing petrol from Niger that started refining only 10 years ago but now exports refined products to Burkina Faso, Mali etc. Yet Nigeria is the giant of Africa? Meanwhile, even Lagos has oil. So why can't our holy but dumb Vice President push for a Lagos modular refinery considering the strategic nature of that state? Lagos' IGR for 6 months will build a sizeable modular refinery over 2 years. This would have help cut 'petroleum subsidy' payments, reduce pump prices, increase GDP, reduce demand for Dollar and stabilize the Naira. How can Femi Adeshina forget that Buhari's promises include resuscitating Ajaokuta, completing Mambillla and building industrial parks across the 6 geopolitical zones? Six years is more than enough to achieve these ambitions and more. In all, we need to blame the PDP for not putting this government on its toes and playing it's role as a major opposition party so that the country can start developing while creating opportunities for its citizens. 2 Likes |
