TheSameGuy:It's very shameful. What I'd have respected is if Obi had justified why he had to invest in the said brewery. Afterall, this has been one of his touted achievements. Again, this is the time to start talking issues and not dodging the question just because the other guy is your elder brother. The LP candidate keeps missing the point. By the way, I know the English language might not his mother tongue, but I can't but keep wondering what Obi must have learnt in primary school if he still has no idea of when to use 'does' instead of 'do'. How can you continuously fail a basic 'Use of English' course, yet you lived in the UK, chaired a bank and brandish a resume bearing the likes of Oxford etc. This bothers on aptitude and is somewhat of a red flag for a lot of people. |
Danisaint112:This isn't objective nah. Why must a Northern polician lord over you when they largely brought Nigeria to where it is today. I mean, talk about the poorest states in Nigeria or the region with the highest out-of-school children etc. So, you'd rather be by bigots (almost 80% of their elites) who gave their innocent youths sharia instead of education or those who manipulate their kinsmen with religion; the outcome of which is Boko Haram in the North today You must have seen them relocating en masse to Lagos and other places in the South. So, by the time you submit to another Northern elite, where will you want to run to? Since Obi is in the race, It's not compulsory you vote for Tinubu. Unfortunately, Obi's campaign message is empty. He should know better that the current youth movement against the APC is not about him. Fact is Obi achieved nothing as a Governor of Anambra State. The issue here shouldn't be about Tinubu either because he's been an outsider in the current government. For a fact, the movement supporting Obi started with the End-SARS movement. So when I heard Obi say in one of his interviews something like 'when I become the C-in-C ......bla bla bla'. I saw a guy who's always missing the point. The movement of today is simply asking for broad based reforms, making government more acocuntable and by extension, upgrading the schools to standards obtainable out there, providing power infrastructure, among others, supporting Nigerians with housing, healthcare, social security and tripling or quadruple the GDP in say 4 years etc. These are not things Obi ever did before. As such, his supporters should be asking him for practical steps he'll be taking to address these challenges and finding the right strategy to use in passing the message accross to the grassroot including all those youth who were part of the endsars protest. That's why Obi needs to be different by not only having a manifesto (though he has none for now) but by also having actions plan backed with milestones which will be his contract with the Nigerian people. In conclusion, just submitting to the North because of Tinubu shouldn't be an issue here. The fact is, there's nobody more qualified than Tinubu to lead the APC (not LP) going into the 2023 elections. |
Tinubu needs not attend a meeting anchored by a PDP man nah! |
It's all these fanatical support for politicians that got Nigeria where it is today! Fact is; the labour party movement is way bigger than Peter Obi. Obi achieved nothing worth celebrating as a governor in Anambra! All thanks go to the Endsars comrades who made his LP platform an option. This might not be a fact, but Peter Obi's basic perception of SMEs could further destroy Nigeria. It seems common sense that SMEs don't work in isolation of large industries. As in, instead of proving to be unprepared, the LP really needs a manifesto to explain things in details on the single ideology Obi is bringing. Worthy if note is that none of the parties has tried to address how 'To tackle all the obstacles either inhibiting local capacity or enhancing the corruption that has forever infringed on the Nigerian enterprise. However, if the prevailing sentiment is the only option to dismantling the status quo and checkmating the corrupt former VP or the fellow from a party that has totally destroyed Nigeria, so be it!! Going forward, OBIDIENTs might need to learn how to present the above scenario to the millions of uninformed people the Northern elites have created. Anyone savvy enough to use social media probably knows where Nigeria is today. The Northern elites failed ! In conclusion, Tinubu has no moral right to want to ride on the APC platform going by Buhari's mediocre performance. What to expect from the PDP might also not be better going by OBJs documented evaluation of the ex-VP. Sadly, a recent video of Obi being drilled by some school 'boys' in the UK got me really ashamed. I recall and was particularly impressed by the way the boy with the Ghanaian accent took on Obi. We don't get to see many Nigerian youths bring forth such intelligent discourse. Anyway, we might have no choice than to stick with the Labor Patty but my fear is that we could be dealing with another clueless incoming president in Obi! |
Emefiele, Emefiele, Emefiele!!!! How many times we wan call you... Instead of spending N50b to print say N1b, plus the strain it'll further put on the Naira, why not just invest N36b as counterpart funding in heath, agriculture, manufacturing etc. accross the 36 states; thinking of counterpart funding so you start creating employment and producing some of the things Nigeria imports? |
Mide70:You are right. Most northern elites are bigots plus their shallow way of reasoning. Is it not for the same reason that their women, kids and able bodied men, in their millions, are fleeing to Lagos to engage in street begging and all. It's them that see no problem in ending official letters (written in English) with 'Insha Allah'! |
What will mess up Atiku rests in Wike's camp's "end game" moves. Sadly, Atiku is falling for baits being thrown at him like a drunk chess player ![]() |
PNomsule:Very funny post but the fact is that companies won't just build more processing plants simply because people have money they'll probably blow in 3 months when it'll take 12 to 18 months to build such plants and they'll have to go borrowing to do so. Secondly, I guess it makes more sense providing funds to industries to expand rather than funding consumption. Again, part of the problem companies in Nigeria are facing today are those of high cost of diesel, power, uncertainty caused by insecurity and rising cost of imported inputs. This makes them non competitive and we have to keep importing from China. Then, you can't just assume there is a market waiting to take whatever local companies will be producing extra. For instance, if the Cocacola company in Nigeria starts producing more drinks today, do you assume people will automatically start buying more? If that's the case, then you can also assume that those expansion projects have already been done. By the way, you need to be specific on the type of processing plants you have in mind and what they are supposed to be producing more of. Lastly, trying to solve unemployment or underemployment problems by just giving people handouts seems to be disingenuous. If things work that way, it means we better share every Nigerian multiples of the N5m you suggested. But you can bet me that some of us won't get a dime while those with privileges will get multiple rations. In summary, Nigeria will be better only when it has the right policies to develop say, it's petroleum refining capacity; develop large industries that will produce the many things we import; engage in large scale agriculture for export; build human capacity so the people have the modern education and skills that makes them employable or productive etc Doling out cash to peoole is simply a shortcut to nowhere! |
Techstar:Quite an achievement ![]() He also left money for his successor; I hear his supporters say with joy. |
Buhari's only objective as Nigeria's President is to destroy APC and block Tinubu's chance of succeeding him. So what does he do? - He runs the worst government in the history of Nigeria - He drove Nigeria into becoming the poverty capital of the world - Our Exchange Rate, Employment, Inflation, Oil Production, Divestment by IOCs, Power etc. are all going in the wrong direction - Against public opinion, he kept non-preforming Military Chiefs who were fighting among themselves only for relevance - He killed innocent protesters right in Tinubu's abode while dilly dallying on whether to call killer bandits terrorists or not - He banned Twitter and is currently fighting BBC for telling the truth about the sufferings of Nigerians - He takes unnecessary loans and senselessly shares 10k to so called poorest of the poor instead of building large industries to employ them - He watched while his party chairman blatantly lied against him about Lawan being a chosen candidate - He cared less as a sitting CBN Governor who should be in jail for major fraudulent transactions dabble into politics - He refused to sack an Attorney General despite many scandalous and shady actions carried out by him to hurt Nigeria During the 2022 Osun Gubernatorial lections, Buhari watched the other way as Lai Mohammed, Rauf Aregebesola worked against Tinubu's interest and the success of the party. He had previously made Osinbajo look stupid for running against Tinubu. Currently, neither the VP nor any of these men have relevance again in the government. He just couldn't stand APC winning Ekiti and then Osun! Simply because of Tinubu Seeing the way things are going, Buhari will do more damage between now and 2023 than he's done in the last 7 years. This is not the time to talk about Obi, Tinubu or Atiku. It's just about time all Nigerians rise up to salvage whatever is left of their country otherwise Fulani terrorists will soon fully extend the killings and occupation of territories to the SE, SW and SS. It's just right Buhari gets impeached but I see this not happening; otherwise, winning the 2023 general election will be a walkover for Tinubu with what an APC led Osinbajo will achieve in just 6 months to redeem the image of their party! |
Ademola47:You dey make sense! There couldn't have been N22m cash in that his fvckn Toyota Sienna. The guy should be arrested by the police and interrogated. Who goes from bank to bank withdrawing large sums of money alone like that? Very soon, people will be smashing their own windows themselves in banks' premises and claiming N1b was kept on the seat so they get compensated? |
seunayantokun:He's only building a premise not to agree to extradite Kyari. Most of the things the current Buhari people do depict madness but they obviously know what they're doing |
Aganju849:That's how the Northern leaders mislead their people with sentiments. I wonder what has pushed us to the stage where this type of an unconvincing man with an illiterate mindset will dare aspire to be Nigeria's president |
Most of the posts on the front page are not imagining how wicked Buhari is. Imagine Buhari gets kidnapped and Nigeria has to pay like $1b dollars to the same terrorists he defends so much? Who then loses? The bottom line is; terrorism in Nigeria is being sponsored by the Cabal and it's purely for the money |
sleek214:He was working on a site in Nigeria!!! Of course, there are millions of kids working in Nigeria today. How is he a criminal? |
QueenOfTheCoast:Monkey dey work, baboon dey chop is what the 'one Nigeria' thing means! |
Newslink:And Wike kept his words. He would have won the PDP presidential primaries if Tambuwal didn't get that unfair opportunity to be on the podium for a second time! |
All the aspirants should have ideally stepped down for BAT. The joke is only on those aspirants who refused to get sense esp. the mumu pastor |
Mooh247:The guy sabi speak English sha. Also a proper omoluabi wey sure die! But the other dummy couldn't learn anything from that classic stepdown speech. Shame on Osinbajo |
Anonanon:Gbam! Osinbajo the snake |
Mooh247:Most tactless VP ever! He allowed himself to be fingered. Mumu man |
Aidejay:Ice cream seller who's serially lost elections in his own very ward?!! Abeg talk about Wike or even common Ameachi ![]() |
kingscare1:And what impact has Osinbajo made on his generation? |
Why does he have those black ![]() |
SensualMan:What's it about Tinubu and these Ibos self when it's the PDP that has ontinued to reject the ibos despite their loyalty to that party. Going by how Orji Uzoh Kalu fumbled on TV today, it's evident the only thing these core Ibo leaders lack is unity and the sophistication to get recognition or respect. Now, they have largely become squatters in the APC which they did not help to build in the first instance. If not for them, a Wike candidacy with a running mate who's strong enough to moderate him is what Nigeria needs at this moment. He pulled his weight but it's this same people that sold him cheap just as OUK is now trying to do. Isn't Kalu smart enough to know that he'll be discarded once the cabal achieves its objectives? And why must Ibos continue to be used ONLY as spoilers everytime? |
9jahotblog:Please try read to comprehend na! The story here is that Adamu's plot against Tinubu is failing. |
Wike was indeed betrayed and he could have easily defeated Atikunif. Not for Tambuwal and the Southern PDP governors. |
Anyiamaka:What is this one saying? |
Golan007:Gbam!! Allowing the President the absolute power to handpick a candidate is corrupt and worse than the problem of vote buying. I wonder, is the fo0l saying APC should allow Buhari who's, for 7 years, taken all the poor decisions that led Nigeria to ruins, singlehandedly pick someone who could end up being the next President of Nigeria? I looked up the idi0t on the net and found out he's just another one of those Southern 'leaders' without NO track record nor political worth. People like this are a danger to democracy and national development. And how would VON have progressed when what you have at the helm of affairs are dullards like this old gentleman who would rather create bigger problems while trying to solve a simple one? Are we not suggesting that Buhari can as well simply appoint the next president of Nigeria on his own? Except for common sense not being common, isn't it basic reasoning that voting in itself is the only way of reaching a consensus? Anyway, Nigeria's 'leaders' and politicians can't disappoint about always avoiding to speak to the root of our problems. It's for the same reason Buhari watched while some guys compared Bandits and Boko Haram to Niger Delta militants. And the debate on whether or not to tag them as terrorists then took forever. Nigeria needs sane and discerning people and in 4 years; it can have a brand new power infrastructure; at least a couple of modular refineries producing petrol; several large industrial hubs with the likes of Toyota and Ford assembling cars; the largest IT hub in Africa and a viable textile industry, to mention a few. But here we have a DG VON reasoning like motor park touts and coming up with solutions that are not related to the problem at hand. Shame on this Osita or whatever 'it' is called for telling us the way government can stop politicians from stealing is to stop conducting elections? |
The evil plot is just to frustrate Southern aspirants perceived to be strong out of APC, force the PDP to commit an error and then ditch Jonathan in the coming days for the cabal's preferred candidate. |
The guy is obviously unhappy with the state of things in Nigeria. We need more of this from our celebrities. I'm however surprised to see the usual lazy Nigerian youths condemning the messenger rather than supporting the message. |
