No matter the English Premier league team you support. I think we can all agree that Anthony Taylor is the worst referee in the entire world . Even in the premier league, week in week out he is always making a mistake, making bad decisions or making controversies.

No wonder English Referees dont always make it to the World cup. Except few, they are all bunch of craps and fraud. They are disgrace.
If not for UEFA politics, how can this type of referee be allowed to officiate a game of that magnitude, an Europa league final for f**k sake.

Clear handball. Taylor was insisting it's not. They should investigate this man for gambling and match-fixing.
This kind belongs in elite fraternities that wield enormous influence over different sectors of the nation. They ensure that their own (Taylor), without fail, always gets high level roles in the national and international systems. grin

Stop spitting political ignorance with confidence. Lawan is from Yobe, a North Eastern state. He took over from Saraki who hails from North Central. Buhari is from North West. Spot the differences before you go about lumping all the zones together.

So when you mention North know exactly which part you are referring to. Tinubu is from South West. Thus the senate president will come from the South South or South East as it was in the case of Buhari. Understand now?

Some of you need to get thorough political education before you come here to argue anyhow. sad

For a federal Government job as medical worker, no matter your other qualifications they will start with you from level 7 and the pay is 95k monthly. I understand your point anyway about japa but I'm just scared of job security in private sector ( I can just be sacked after 2 months for whatever flimsy excuse) knowing I have been at home for 2 years without job
Sincerely, your fears are worth spending quality time to consider. Private sector can dump you on the road in the blink of an eye without any prior warnings.

Family › Re: Should I Meet Her Biological Father Before Paying Bride-Price To Her Step-father by mastermaestro(m): 3:35pm On Jun 01, 2023
ZIMDRILL:
this is complex but it differs tradition of every tribe etc

where i came from son in law can ONLY pay bride price to the biological father in law or the women's family. if the child was raised by the mother alone, the biological father will
be present at the bride price day to witness and given a little token, but the large sum is given to the mum and her brothers

In my culture a step father can not represent a living biological father not matter the reason
they separated from the mother and whether deadbeat.

In my culture, if the father was absent when the girl was growing up and when she is getting married the biological father is invited to charge bride and the same time they will
charge him for being an absent father. if he had not paid bride price, they will charge him pride price, meaning instead of getting pride price from him daughter it will go pay the bride price of the girl's mother

For spiritual reason you pay bride price
to the biological father

In such situations your own family (son in laws) must guide you in finding the biological father or or his relatives, otherwise you pay pride price twice

Back to the story, lets say he pays bride price to the step father and in the long run the couple fights or have problems in house, which family will intervene to help ? the step father's family ? but if pride price is paid to the biological father its easy to seek help from relevent people from the biological father's family there are related by blood.
All this you spewed here is indulging dereliction of fatherly responsibility. Your culture is a very faulty one created by a set of chauvinistic men who believed that men can do no wrong no matter the magnitude of wrongs they are caught in.

A father is not a sperm donor. Otherwise, this sets societies back. Somebody makes a mess and yet receives an honour medal because culture dictates so. Get over this rubbish culture now!

An irresponsible man must not be handed the honour badge of fatherhood. Fatherhood without responsibility is criminality. You have a criminal culture I must say. sad
Family › Re: Help Me With Budgeting.... My 400k Salary No Longer Takes Me Home. by mastermaestro(m): 1:58pm On Jun 01, 2023
Nazgul:
Kindly redo that budget.

1.3m for a 2bedroom apartment on a salary of 400k per month is on the high side. You need to work on your rent. Get an agent on the mainland. I'm sure he'll you'll get decent 2bedroom flats (or one bedroom flat) which would definitely be way cheaper than your current place.

From your post, you work from home. So why would you need to use the car for 5-6 days. If you're using a 4 cylinder engine and you fill your tank, it should last you for up to 2 weeks (or more) provided you're not a Waka Waka person.

If you work from home, I'll suggest you get a laptop with very strong battery, that way you can still remain online for hours after power outage. Also, get a rechargeable standing fan. The one I bought lasts up to 7hours when fully charged. This would help you at night so you can preserve your fuel and won't have to put on the gen if the weather gets hot. That way your gen would only be put on when you want to work and have low battery. With the new fuel price, one has to adjust in order to survive.

If you like cooking, I'll advise you to stock your kitchen with provisions. Yam, rice, beans, noodles, beverages...etc. The cost of procuring these stuffs would be high no doubt, but for the next few months, you won't have to buy anything. Meaning you'll have lots of money to save.

Close eye and get a washing machine. So that this 4k per month can be channeled to something else.

Gift to people kwa, for this renewed shege era. Biko strike that away from your budget.

You put auto maintenance at 30k, health 5k and hygiene 10k. Which other repairs and maintenance is this one again?

After budgeting 62k for feeding for the month, which one is outings and sit outs again?

How can your budget be more than your income? 🙄

You'll have to cut your coat according to the cloth. You can skip breakfast, eat a light lunch and have swallow for dinner. Everything shouldn't be more than 1k. Meaning you'll be saving 1k. That's something if you ask me.

Unless your car is Nigerian used, running these checks and changes every month isn't necessary and a complete waste of money. I changed my break pad September last year and this is May, I'm still using it. Same with shock, Tyre...etc. As long as you bought a decent car, it won't be swallowing up your money every now and then.

If you're using your gen for 2hours or less per day, 20 liters should last you more than a month. Most especially if you're in an area where power supply is decent.

It's simple, wear clothes you can afford, eat foods you can afford, date people within your range, don't go broke and in debt trying to impress anyone...Live within your means.
You are a mean person. You made sense until you said he should strike out the gifts he gives to people that he is obviously better than. Living without a little charity to the needy is a worthless life. A meager 10k that he probably shares to more than two needy persons is what you want him to remove? You need to change from being too self-centered. Day breaks people on different sides of the bed. Be warned! sad

You see all those mega churches in Lagos, I bet you no single one of them will vote against him except for cowardice. Tinubu takes Baba Adeboye as his spiritual father. And you think such a man would be anti-church? People were just being hysterical.

I began to view Obi as more of a threat to the church after his failure to intervene in the humiliation of father Mbaka who had criticized him. Yet sentimental, emotional people who cannot think critically celebrated the fall of a revered priest at the hand of a supposed Christian politician. I just look at them with pity. sad

Very nice.

The era of government agencies behaving anyhow, unprincipled and sordidly are over. We now have a proactive government, who is anything but nonchalant nor 'deaf', that can take control and will take control of the country.

The days of unchecked bad policies, unruly behaviours from governmental organisations and agencies are over.

Let it be known, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is incharge not 'deciding-cabal.'
I am not a supporter of Tinubu sha, but I am so sure of one thing that he exemplifies. He is a very decisive leader. I don't expect to witness Buhari's kind of docility in his administration. Talking about the church, you just reminded me of my darling AGC and how democracy wrecked her… 😢

Of a truth, what works for one may destroy another…
That church will never be the same again as long as they continue to choose their leader through democratic voting system. I think they have several factions now and unending court cases. It's a mess what democracy is causing them.

Look at the way China is rising at the speed of light. Now imagine if it conducted elections every now and then across the board. Before you know it, majority will elect one fool and the fool will ruin the great accomplishments of his predecessors. This is what we face in Africa today. Majority come together to elect nonentities everywhere.

Does the UK practise real democracy? When was the last time the people of UK directly elected a PM or their King/Queen? Sit there and be glorifying a particular leadership style. Historical background determines the type of governance that nations adopt, not some foisted alien suggestions that have created chaos all over Africa.

GOD Almighty Himself does not even recognize democracy as the ideal system for national administrations. Democracy is expensive, time-wasting and breeds rebellion where the practitioners have no historical and cultural affiliations to it.

Show me one pre-colonial African society where leaders emerged through voting. Are you telling me those ancient African societies were disorganized before the colonialists invaded? Before you rush to reply me, note that democracy and development do not mean the same thing. China is not a democracy. Qatar is not a democracy. UAE is not. Are these aboved mentioned nations developed? This should help you understand that democracy does not necessarily bring development.

The money Nigeria has wasted on conducting elections could lift tens of millions out of poverty if it was made available to rising entrepreneurs. Abeg I nor fit explain again jare. sad

If I may add, you think if huge churches like Winners Chapel, RCCG and others practised democracy they would be as massive as they are today. Adeboye singlehandedly decides the policy of RCCG irrespective of what members think. Oyedepo can wake up and tell you he wants to build another mega auditorium like the Ark project. Democracy would have crippled these plans. Now imagine the crises these churches would have if they conducted elections to elect a new GO every four years.

How are Christian Association of Nigeria and Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria today? A shadow of themselves because they fight over policy direction and election every now and then. Democracy will not work everywhere because of cultural history.

It is this same democracy shit the West are imposing on marriages today. What's the outcome? Countless number of divorce cases.

Democracy is evil in Africa and need to be stoped let people practice what will give them rest of mind is Spain and Denmark a democratic nation because the last time I checked they use the monarchy style of government but na our own those useless West no one make we prosper
I am telling you bro. Imagine wasting billions of Naira to conduct elections every four years that produce thieves across the board. Funds that could be used to develop and build world-class infrastructure like China and Russia. After electing these people, we waste the remaining resources to fund their lavish lifestyles. Yet we say we don't have money.

Africa needs to find its real political identity. Democracy does not belong in Africa. I remember guys who found economic success in Ghadaffi's Libya. They came back twice a year living big here in Nigeria. Today who goes to Libya? The West wanted democracy for them. How e be now?

Neither Qatar, UAE, nor Saudi Arabia practise democracy, yet they enjoy stability, peace and economic prosperity that some Western countries can only dream of. Make democracy go sleep jor.

Even though I am tilted a bit towards the West, I like the way you gave that guy a brain. Let every country decide their system of governance. If monarchy works, practise it. If one-man system works, stick to it. If party supremacy system like that of China solves your nation's challenges, die for it.

Nations should be allowed to run their lives as they want. The West should be more worried about the erosion, right in their backyard, of social, family and moral values and culture which distinguish humans from animals.

Democracy is not the key to good governance. Africa is a case study. It is impossible that African societies were as horribly administered as we see done by these so called modern democrats. Democracy looks like a curse all over Africa.

Compare Ghadaffi's 'dictatorial' Libya to the one the West imported. Even a fool will spot the marked difference.

I guess she didn't have a full understanding of what she signed up for. It's the way the force works. Plus coming out on social media won't be good for her.
In fact it is her social media outcry that will facilitate her discharge. The part where they require she pays three months salary back to government if she wants speedy processing will be her escape route. Public support will capitalize on that part to free her.

However I do not imply that the police force is at fault. Actually they are not. Their refusal to let her go stems from the simple fact that she is yet to complete the mandatory minimum years of service in the force.
