why must we always judge the intent of people we know nothing about?
whether she is doing 4 real or 4 fakes, we shouldn't be so jugdmental, and why do we always go 4 d negative intent? a typical nigerian mentality, goes to showcase what we have inside mostly, so poor.

Meklex: I ran down the dark alley breathing hard
It seemed the longest race since the olympics
He had a gun
I was running not because of the gun
I was running from chase
I was not running from the hot bullet
But from chase
I stopped running
It seemed futile
He was closing in on me
His face visible from the illuminating light
Evil was his face
I began series of trembling and mumbling
He had a smirk on his lips
I thought about my family
I had none
I heard him drop the gun
He needed more than just to kill me
Chase needed my blood
He is a vampire,
I let out a deafining scream
Scream that came like a whisper to my ears
Only to be heard more louder by the neighbours.

Please, rate this, I need to know if I should stop writing and focus on other things instead, thanks
dunno if u intend to write a story or a poem, its actually written in a poetic form but sounds more like a lift from a story. I would say u need to be decisive on where u want to base ur writting on(whether prose or poetry), but i think u already got a base which u can start working on, before u know it, u will come out perfectly fine.
i hope dat helps.

bamto: Masterpiecer you are indeed the bomb
I don't mean of BokoHaram, the dumbs
Your words are like your working tool
That enlivens realities even to a fool
One lesson I have learnt from you is this
Be spontaneous you'll blow the world a kiss
Wait for 'the right time,' you'll surely end up numb
Literature I read so read my lips: you're the bomb!
what else can i say?
@bamto, u made my morning already, i find ur piece very exciting and poetic, u too r 'the bomb', thank u so much

Efemena_xy: What a nice thread!

@masterpiece, I'm rubbish at poems - so I admire your talent!

Okay, write a poem on Efe and Short Stories pls... cheesy
Efe and Short Stories

She delight the sight of virgin sheets
hands, readily grabing any pen at sight
without a flicker of hesitance she sets to wtite
coma, hyphen, colon, semicolon, all sort of punctuations,
unevenly scattered amidst gathering of a thousand sentences
gradually turning into perfect syntheses

The nib of her pen is more crafty than an artist's brush
with a pallette of words, she paints like a Leonado da vinci
scenarios of fairy tales yet so convincing
short stories of euphoria, clourful like an aurora
samples from grandpa's favourite
she write with memories of him telling 'the tortise's birth rite'

Gestures and mannerisms she expresses to realism
her words are capable of turning into sight
you could virtually see the scene she writes
some in series of chronicles
some in extended sequels
short stories of Efe written in endless circles

LiteratureRe: The Pain Of Pleasure - A Must Read For Every Lady And Her Boyfriend. by masterpiecer(m): 11:23am On Aug 08, 2012
dasparrow: How did you come to this conclusion? Did you conduct a research like its done during a Phd dissertation? I knew many Nigerian children back in the day born to married Nigerian couples who never divorced but their father was not in their lives because he is polygamous and too busy chasing after anything in skirt. I know many Nigerian kids whose parents never divorced and lived under the same roof yet the father never took an active part in raising the children and left it all to his wife the mother of the kids.

What about all those rude spoilt children of Nigerian big men/politicians whose parents are not divorced yet their parents failed to give them a moral upbringing and today they are a complete nuisance to Nigerian society and perhaps the world? They go about spending daddy's money which he looted from the Nigerian coffers in the UK, USA, South Africa and wherever else. Did abdumutallab the under wear bomber not grow up in a two parent home?

Just admit that you have a bias against people raised in a single parent home. Please don't blame the kids and adults raised by divorced parents because it is not their fault that their parent's marraige failed. Some people had to divorce because they were in abusive marital relationships. Look at the late Titi Arowolo who was butchered by her husband. Now her daughter will grow up without a mother because her mother is dead and without a father because his behind is in jail. Would you rather prefer children born to abusive parents face that? It is better to divorce and let peace and sanity reign in the home. Atleast both parents will stay alive and the children will have atleast one parent dedicated to raising and providing for them.
Divorce is a societal ill, do not try to justify it, the reason why these ills are now seen as normal today is because we have compromised our standards, we have traded value for insubstancial benefits, thus the result we are having today.
would you rather raise your child as a single parent?, there are alot of psychological impact that this creates in the life of such child, just because it cannot be physically seen doesn't mean it would impede certain social, psychological and even physical growth in the life of such child.

You may say divorce is the best option other than be physically abused by a partner, but like i initially said, when we trade values and let in compromise, what result do you expect?, what happened to the days when intended couples would court for a long period of time to be able to assertain their level of compatibility and other essential factors before finally getting married? we have thrown those days to the dust, nowadays people just meet and get married and expect eternal bliss, the fairy tale "happily ever after". The result is what we see today as broken homes/marraiges, mind you, there are also challenges that even the 2 parent homes face and that is a part of life, but the bottom line is, if something, is wrong, its wrong, no matter how widely accepted(divorce) it is, there by giving room to the large number of wayward children in the world today
