Rents depends on the neighborhoods , though in Jos , there are two power companies , jedc ( jos electricity distribution company ) and nesco, nesco is better than jedc cos their light is uninterrupted , while jedc tries to keep up , in fact in Jos almost all houses has prepaid meter so if the companies don’t give light , they lose , the most expensive neighborhoods in jos are Rayfield , federal lowcost and state lowcost , my friend lives in Rayfield , he’s two bedroom flats rents cost 700k , I think that’s the highest I’ve seen …. But you can get rents for 200- 400k …jos is a cheap town .

As a trader or business person, you buy goods or invest with what you have. If you don't have enough, you borrow from bank or other sources.

Let me break it down to a lay man understanding, if 10 units of your current stock is 5m, but due to the increment in price of new stock, your money is not enough to buy same 10 units, the right thing to do is to buy whatever units your money can complete or take a loan to meet up. Your inability to buy 10 units with same amount is not a lose but increment in business capital.

You don't dupe people by increasing the price of old stock to meet up with new stock, because that is not the real value of what you bought.

As a business man, I've been passing through the same process since around 2017. You will stock 100 pieces today, and the same amount spent on 100 pieces won't be enough to get 80 pieces. This dont cause a lost but increment in business capital.

I get your point , but Nigeria runs a mixed economy , which means both government and individuals control production of goods and services , hence government fixes prices of goods and services they provide while individuals control theirs as well , government is not usually after profits , but individuals are all about profits , that’s why private schools are more expensive compared to government schools , now subsidy has been removed , which means individuals have the upper hand in petroleum production since even NNPCL has even been privatized , so issuing threats to marketers of petrol to sell at pump price is like issuing threats to private schools to reduce their school fees to government schools fees , which is ridiculous , what the government needs to do if they are serious is to increase minimum wage or equip government owned filling stations with enough fuel to provide stiff competitions for private owned filling stations ….As a business man , that’s how I see it …

Ask these people supporting this crap here who are the other occupants of the other Landcruiser and Lexus SUVs in a Nigerian governors convoy, most times na party chieftains and political associates. In case you don't know each of those vehicles has a monthly budget for fuel (1m+) and service/repairs. Add the daily allowance of the over 20+ DSS and Police on the convoy. Add the physical cash inside the DSS vehicle behind the governors car in case oga want to spend or share cash.

In Jos when the governor , Simon lalong is coming to church , he come with a 20 car convoy excluding police hilux , just him and his wife and a handful policemen , the remaining prado jeeps are completely empty , one guy told me that they move out like that so that attackers won’t know which car the vip is carried …
