Coupled with the fact that in Naija for ease of maintenance, as in what mechanics are used too, I would look at buying a petrol.

A logical approach would be to price up all the required parts, get a quote for labour (at least 25% of parts cost) then compare it to selling your current RHD and buying a LHD.

I would be amazed if it isn't cheaper to buy and sell.

The frsc is right. In 2009. we trained some of their officers on tyre monitoring courtesy of Dunlop tyres. The tyres do expire after four years irrespective of the usage. I remember how Michelin tyres were always worried about the stock in their warehouse because of the poor sales activities and their clock ticking on their tyres. That said, the number one problem is the tyre temperature and speed ratings. Even if you bought a 2015 made tyre and it is temperature b tyre and t rating, you are courting danger. Ensure you have temperature a on your tyres and an accurate speed rating for your car.

So not only are you an incompetent mechanic, you are also not above sprouting blatant lies. there have been loads of links to tire manufacturers websites in this and other threads and non of the manufacturers who remember want to sell tires have quoted a 4 year expiry date, which makes you a teller of untruths............. which falls under rule 8 Don't post false information on Nairaland

Now if the manufacturers who make the tires and thus have a vested interest in us buying as many as possible don't think or claim that tires expire after 4 years, how did FRSC come about this information, many of these tyre companies actually offer 4 and 5 year warranties on their products.

Like i said it's just primary six dropouts in uniforms sprouting rubbish rather than do some empirical research and creating rules based around that.

Also bear in mind that after a tyre has been manufactured it will take another 3 months at least to get to Nigeria, so these idiots are claiming that if a tyre sits in a store for 1 year after that then it's only safe on the road for 2 and a half years,

Bottom line, use common sense, inspect your tires on a regular basis this applies to both new and old tires, once they show signs of aging, cracks etc change them

Customer takes car to mecho, Mecho works on car, charges customer money, car isn't fixed.

Mecho then proceeds t say it's not his fault that car isn't fixed.

I would laugh if it wasn't exactly the problem with most of our mechanics, sooperrescue or whatever you call yourself, by taking the customers money you have a responsibility to deliver a service in this case a fixed car. Ths you haven't done that's the long and short of it.

Based on above I wouldn't give sooperrescue my bicycle to fix, and would advise that everyone on Nairaland steer clear of him.
