typical fund raising nonsense by govt depts, so they install limiters with 100kph max, what will of course happen is that the drivers will not slow down on bad roads in a bid to make up time, 100kph + massive potholes = accident, and what about in town and through villages where speeds slower that 100 are appropriate..... |
Any update on this project? |
I think it's an Ill-advised venture, having said that, I'm ready to eat my words and love engineering projects so please keep us updated, not everything is about money. Initially once you've found out the cost of all the parts, please post them here. Hint there are a 101 dead RR sports in Lagos so if you are doing the conversion there why not buy one of them and break for parts, friend of mine sold his LR3 for N600k it was so troublesome as an indicator of what it might cost you. |
Bro you are an inspiration and a true engineer. Well done and thank you for letting us follow your progress and eventual success. |
I would follow Siena's advice, never been a fan of conversions Coupled with the fact that in Naija for ease of maintenance, as in what mechanics are used too, I would look at buying a petrol. A logical approach would be to price up all the required parts, get a quote for labour (at least 25% of parts cost) then compare it to selling your current RHD and buying a LHD. I would be amazed if it isn't cheaper to buy and sell. |
erico2k2:I'm also waiting .... |
Hmm, you protest too much if it was brought brand new a few weeks ago how come it's registration doesn't show up on http://www.nvisng.org/numberplateverification.aspx now of course this is Nigeria and this doesn't necessarily mean the registration is fake, but isn't a good sign |
Lexusgs430:That's nothing, I can teach you how to make your car run on water for enormous gigantic profits!!!! |
aalangel:You should have paid attention in class, his leasehold has expired, From below "NNAEMEKA AGU J.S.C. in the case of African Petroleum Ltd v. Owodunni (1991) 8 NWLR (Pt.210)391 endorsed he landlord's lawful act of forcible entry, when a legal tenants hold over the premises beyond the contractual tenure by this statement " While she should serve you notice, you are still liable for rent under the terms of the expired contract. Of course since you weren't around she can quite easily claimed that she tried serving you notice. that's the legal aspect The MORAL ASPECT, is simply are you a thief, why would you stay in a property and not pay the rent and bills, you had better go beg her & pay your outstanding PHCN bills. What goes around comes around. |
flyca:This, Take possession, put something on the land add a sign saying this land belongs to me with a phone number and "beware 419" Then check regularly, say every week in the beginning and longer intervals later. Finally apply for the CofO, while this can be expensive at least start the process |
colossus2:Next, how to know if your vehicle is an Okada or a car |
SWG26:Except when it comes to matters of Tithe.............. then you quote Old testament like it's biblical truth ![]() |
I'm curious, Why are terrorists and their supporters allowed to post on this forum, how are NDA different from BH, and if a BH member were to post here they would be banned immediately. Whats the point in having rules if they aren't enforced, surely posts supporting NDA fall foul of rules 7 & 9 |
sooperrescue:He asked for "expert" opinion, not a Kazzims, next thing you will tell us is that thermostats are not needed cause Nigeria is the hottest place on earth, Is in your inexpert opinion Nigeria hotter than Australia http://www.michelin.com.au/AU/en/why-michelin/warranties.html https://www.bridgestonetyres.com.au/safe-drive Do you see anyone talk about a 4 year expiry date, but of course people like you will ignore evidence, probably because telling lies makes you feel important or something, begone go and peddle your daft ideas at the roadside where you belong Oh and sooperrescue:No links or actual evidence of quoted research just random musings followed by a rubbish conclusion, give it up I'm only answering you so you don't lead any of the forum members astray |
sooperrescue:So not only are you an incompetent mechanic, you are also not above sprouting blatant lies. there have been loads of links to tire manufacturers websites in this and other threads and non of the manufacturers who remember want to sell tires have quoted a 4 year expiry date, which makes you a teller of untruths............. which falls under rule 8 Don't post false information on Nairaland |
like you've been advised, start again. Person who drew this has no clue. Write any money you've paid this draftsman off, you will spend millions building the house, get it right. Go round peoples houses, look at websites, a 3 bed bungalow isn't a hard design to get right. START OVER |
For those who work on their own bikes or indeed if you just want to be sure of what your Mecho is doing http://mybikemanuals.com Is a great resource, which contains the workshop manuals that dealers work with. I have found over the years that these websites come and go, so downloading workshop manuals you might need now is a good idea. |
talk4free:Actually we can, in the case of PHCN and the DISCO's it's actually formalised, pay in advance for a meter claim back the money you spent as a discount on your bills |
Alanzazani:From Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) web site, the disco has 60 days to install a meter after you've paid for it or they legally can't bill you. http://www.nercng.org/index.php/media-and-publicity/press-releases/318-customers-exempted-from-estimated-electricity-bills My advice is write a letter to your disco, copy NERC and see what happens, honestly until we engage these thieves nothing will get better |
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A 4 YEAR TYRE EXPIRY DATE, its just illiterate FRSC officials trying to extort people. You don't believe me, fine lets go to the source http://www.michelin.co.uk/tyres/learn-share/buying-guide/when-should-i-change-my-tyres http://www.continental-tires.com/car/technology/tire-knowledge/lex-1-2 http://www.moderntiredealer.com/article/312312/final-words-on-tire-aging But Nigeria is hot you say, hotter than Texas, hotter than Dubai. Now if the manufacturers who make the tires and thus have a vested interest in us buying as many as possible don't think or claim that tires expire after 4 years, how did FRSC come about this information, many of these tyre companies actually offer 4 and 5 year warranties on their products. Like i said it's just primary six dropouts in uniforms sprouting rubbish rather than do some empirical research and creating rules based around that. Also bear in mind that after a tyre has been manufactured it will take another 3 months at least to get to Nigeria, so these idiots are claiming that if a tyre sits in a store for 1 year after that then it's only safe on the road for 2 and a half years, |
Hm THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A 4 YEAR TYRE EXPIRY DATE, it's just another piece of nonsense made up by the idiots who are supposed to keep us safe, you don't believe me, fine lets go to the source http://www.michelin.co.uk/tyres/learn-share/buying-guide/when-should-i-change-my-tyres http://www.continental-tires.com/car/technology/tire-knowledge/lex-1-2 http://www.moderntiredealer.com/article/312312/final-words-on-tire-aging But Nigeria is hot you say, hotter than texas, hotter than Dubai. If the people who make the tires and thus have a vested interest in us buying as many as possible don't think or claim that tires expire after 4 years then why should I listen to a primary 6 dropout in a FRSC uniform Bottom line, use common sense, inspect your tires on a regular basis this applies to both new and old tires, once they show signs of aging, cracks etc change them |
hmm so let me get this straight, Customer takes car to mecho, Mecho works on car, charges customer money, car isn't fixed. Mecho then proceeds t say it's not his fault that car isn't fixed. I would laugh if it wasn't exactly the problem with most of our mechanics, sooperrescue or whatever you call yourself, by taking the customers money you have a responsibility to deliver a service in this case a fixed car. Ths you haven't done that's the long and short of it. Based on above I wouldn't give sooperrescue my bicycle to fix, and would advise that everyone on Nairaland steer clear of him. |
pimplucious:No No No, if you pay school fees how will your pastor be able to buy that new Mercedes. In fact sell all your worldly possessions and donate all the money to youe Church and see how God will bless you 10 fold, At times its very clear why this country is in such a state |
GAZZUZZ:Cool idea Seeing that it works on extensions if I install 5 4way extensions buy 16 of these, then my car will have 1000bhp and return 600 miles to the gallon for the benefit of those who don't understand sarcasm yes I'm aware the product is a scam, |
IT IS A SCAM Guy really, does it make your dick bigger as well |
ItzChinnex:Where is yours? if you can't do the time. don't do the crime |
well this is the article linked to so for those asking if it's true........ http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/04/09/boko-haram-demands-50m-ransom-for-release-of-kidnapped-chibok-sc/ |
the Governor makes sense he is stating the issues and how he is addressing them, I really don't see how anyone can argue with anything he has said in the article, things won't miraculously get better, it will take a lot of work and sacrifice, he has 4 years to deliver, Lets not only wait and see but offer constructive support and indeed criticism Indeed if anyone has a better solution to the issue of religious fanaticism let them present it? |
olubike:I'm offended by the poor mentality shown by the committee members, a used Rolls Royce is surely beneath pastors status why couldn't they buy him a new one.... how he go enter heaven with tokunbo... ![]() |
