Romance / A Message To All Guys by matrixx9(m): 9:17pm On Jan 04, 2015 |
You saw a beautiful girl, you like her. You fought tirelessly to win her heart. You wake up in the middle of the night to text her messages. You swore you love her. You call her pet names. You adore all her imperfections. You love whatever she puts on. You spend all time with her without complaining. You clean her face and wipe her tears. You gently won her heart. You made her believe in you. She came to trust you. You assured her that you will always be there for her. You gave her hope. She believed you are different. She believes she has found love again. She threw her pride away. She forgot that value she attached to herself. She has refused everyone that competes with you for her. You could now hold her phone all day long. She now tells everyone that care to hear that she has found Him at last. And now, you are thinking of how best to break up with her. You begin to avoid her. Her presence now choke you up. Her voice now irritates you. She is now cheap to you. You yelled at her over little issues. You now clearly see where she had stretch marks. You now see that her English is filled with blunders. She is suddenly from a poor background and she is not your class. Remember this... Every act on earth has pay back. And the payback always comes in the right proportion. You deceived her and had your ways, and now you think she is cheap. You were only fortunate. With time she will forget you, but, you will also receive disappointmentswhere you had full hope. Change your ways today 4 Likes 3 Shares |

Politics / Parents Of Chibok Girls Turn To UN After Losing Faith In Government by matrixx9(m): 6:57am On Jan 03, 2015 |
Parents of 200 Nigerian schoolgirls kidnapped by Islamist rebels in April said they were appealing directly to the United Nations for help after losing hope that the Nigerian government will rescue them. A group lobbying for government action on behalf of the parents met with UN Women, the head of the UN representation in Nigeria, and with officials of the UN Office for West Africa last month. The group has also appealed to Unicef, campaign spokeswoman Bukola Shonibare said. UN officials were not immediately available for comment. "If the government cannot take action, we are asking for the UN to come in and help and if they reject, we just don't know what to do," Reverend Enoch Mark, leader of the parents, told Reuters. Two of his daughters were kidnapped. It is not clear what any UN agency could do without Nigerian government approval. More than eight months since the abduction of the girls from Chibok, in remote northeastern Borno state, parents say they are still in the dark about what the government is doing. A presidential spokesman said efforts to free them continue but that details of the missions are too sensitive to publish. On April 14, Boko Haram militants raided the school while the girls were taking exams. They loaded 270 of them onto trucks. Around 50 escaped shortly afterwards. Boko Haram, which is fighting for an Islamic state and whose name means "Western education is sinful", had been kidnapping children for more than a year, but the scale of this attack shocked the world and sparked a #BringBackOurGirls Twitter campaign that drew celebrities, including US First Lady Michelle Obama. The five-year-old insurgency has killed thousands of people, displaced more than a million and raised fears voting in presidential elections on Feb 14 will be impossible across stretches of the north-east. "The Chibok community is pained, we cannot take this anymore," Mr Dauda Iliya, spokesman for the Chibok community in Abuja, said at a New Year's Day rally of parents, adding that they had written to the United Nations to "protest this neglect and nonchalance by the government." President Goodluck Jonathan says the government is trying to free the girls but a botched rescue mission would endanger them. Dozens, possibly hundreds, have been kidnapped since the Chibok attack. Two weeks ago, gunmen abducted 172 women and children from Gumsuri, 24km from Chibok. http://www..com/2015/01/desperate-parents-of-abducted-nigerian.html #www.google.com |

Politics / Northern Politicians Are Parasites And Beggars- Asari Dokubo by matrixx9(m): 11:37am On Jan 01, 2015 |
Leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Salvation Force, NDPSF, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari has again stated that desperate politicians from the northern Nigeria are ungrateful parasites who have not appreciated the south and especially the Niger-Delta for depending on their oil proceeds over the years. Asari’s outburst was a reaction to the comments recently made by the Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido that staunch supporters of President Goodluck Jonathan such as Asari and Chief Edwin Clarke were making incisive statements in their bid to secure a second term for Jonathan. Lamido had in his statements decried the candidacies of Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and General Muhammadu Buhari of All Progressives congress, APC. He was quoted as saying that the duo were capable of setting Nigeria ablaze with their ambition. But reacting to the statement, Asari who was also the former national President of Ijaw Youth Council, IYC and Jonathan’s kinsman in a telephone chat with Vanguard said that the north was bleeding over their loss of political power. He stated that until the zone disabuse its mind from the mentality of “born to rule”, they would continue to meet stiff resistance from their southern counter-part. “The president will win. There is no other option. If they contest they are wasting their time. He who pays the piper will dictate the tune. We own them. We are feeding them. They are parasites. A beggar has no choice. In all religions, in Islam, every where… if you are a beggar, you will respect the one who gives to you. They are beggars and parasites.” http://www..com/2015/01/asari-dokubo-calls-northern-politicians.html http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/12/north-ungrateful-parasites-asari-dokubo/ |

Politics / Orji Pledges To Complete Ongoing projects-which Projects Sir? by matrixx9(m): 10:31am On Jan 01, 2015 |
According to a Publication By This Day News, Governor Theodore Orji of Abia State has assured indigenes of the state that he will work harder in the New Year in order to complete the ongoing projects of his administration before the end of his tenure in less than five months. He gave the assurance in his last New Year broadcast to the people of Abia, saying that he was satisfied that he had succeeded in bequeathing to Abia State a solid foundation in infrastructure development on which successive administrations would continue to build on. “Though we have less than five months to the end of this administration, I pledge to continue to give my best in the New Year and equally work to fully realise the on-going projects as our resources may dictate,” he said. “I am convinced that this administration has laid the foundation to realise an economically virile, strong, affluent and glorious Abia State of our dream. In this success story, I did not act alone. I did it with my party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),” he said. Orji also used the New Year broadcast to further drum up support for his would-be successor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, describing him as “a well groomed Ukwa/Ngwa man of Abia South extraction with impeccable character”, who emerged in the spirit of equity and fairness in zoning power to Abia South”. With All Due Respect Abia State Is Still One Of The Dirtiest States In the country with outdated and damaged facilities like the Enyimba Stadium, Sir we ask to see a single Picture Of The Projects Already Completed.. The roads have been left to rot,. Any One Who Views The Pictures Of Ariaria Market, the largest business Area of Abia State would Wonder the project You Are Talking About.. Politics / Governor Mimiko’s Aide assaults Female Worker At His akure Office by matrixx9(m): 7:56am On Jan 01, 2015 |
Akin Akinbobola, an aide to Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State, may be in serious trouble after he reportedly assaulted one of his female workers, Funmilayo Alao-Kwabe in his office in Akure, the state capital. Mr. Akinbobola, who is the incumbent chairman of the Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA), allegedly gave Ms. Funmilayo a brutal beating after the two had a row over salary increment at the agency. The alleged victim heads a maintenance department at the agency. An eyewitnesses confirmed that the ODSFA chair beat his subordinate so severely that he inflicted a serious neck injury on her. Another source disclosed that the fight originated from the chairman’s sudden decision to increase junior employees’ salaries, adding that he then approved a N2000 increase for Ms. Funmilayo, increasing her salary to N42,000. The source, a staff of the agency, revealed that Ms. Funmilayo considered her pay increase too paltry. “She was infuriated and walked up to the agency chairman to demand an explanation. He got angry and began to beat her brutally,” the source said. Another source at the agency said the workers felt that Ms. Funmilayo was poorly treated. “Our Chairman [Akinbobola] increased the salaries of the junior casual workers, who were mostly in maintenance department, to N40,000 while that of their head, Mrs. Funmilayo, was increased to N42,000, just N2000 difference. This is what caused the trouble,” he said., the alleged assault victim narrated her version of events. She said she was angry about her small increment. After the chairman refused to take her telephone call, she said she sent him a text message asking for an explanation. “He called me after reading my text message and asked for the meaning of the content in the message I sent to him and I told him the meaning. I never knew he had an agenda in mind, he invited me to come over to his office and I went there. “I got to his office and he started embarrassing me, [asking] why did I send such a message to him. During that process a lady came inside the office and I ordered her out because I was still discussing with him. But the next thing was he slapped me and beat me up. He pulled out some of my hair and nearly snapped off my head and threatened to kill me. During the ordeal , he broke my neck and ran away after I slumped on the floor of his office. I can’t turn my neck [any more].” Some staffers at the agency alleged that the chairman used to date the alleged victim, adding that he tried to humiliate her because she broke up with him and had spurned all efforts to restart their relationship. Contacted by a reporter, Mr. Akinbobola denied assaulting Ms. Funmilayo, insisting that she hurt herself while struggling with him. He refused to answer any questions about his alleged romantic relationship with the woman. “It’s a personal issue,” he said, adding, “Please let us end the discussion.” The aggrieved woman’s lawyer has petitioned the Inspector General of Police over the case http://www..com/2015/01/governor-mimikos-aide-brutally-assaults.html http://saharareporters.com/2014/12/31/governor-mimiko’s-aide-assaults-female-worker-his-akure-office |

Politics / 15 Most Unique Houses In The World You Must See by matrixx9(m): 11:33am On Dec 31, 2014 |
Toilet House, South Korea This home was constructed by one Sim Jae- duck, founder of the–you guessed it–World Toilet Association. As ridiculous as it might sound, the foundation did a lot of good work promoting improved sanitation facilities around the world. The home acted as his private residence until his death in 2009; it was then bequeathed to the government and has since become a toilet museum Transparent House, Japan Do you feel like you just have way too much privacy in your life? Well then maybe you’ve finally found the home for you! This Tokyo home was apparently inspired by the idea of living in a tree–though how exactly the two concepts are connected is still a little bit hazy to us. Antilia, India We’re ending with the big one– this skyscraper in Mumbai, India is actually a private residence–yes, one residence– belonging to Mukesh Ambani, a local business magnate. Perhaps the most expensive private residence in the world, it reportedly takes a staff of 600 to run. It all seems a bit ostentatious to us, but what do we know? Clock Tower Penthouse, New York This penthouse apartment is the result of a major overhaul of an old clock tower in Brooklyn, New York. It seems that the developers are still looking for a tenant–I wonder why? The asking price is only $18 million. Rotating House, Australia At first glance, this benign-looking structure seems ordinary enough–but with enough patience, you might notice something strange happening. The Everingham Rotating House, as it’s known, completes a full rotation in between 30 minutes and two hours, depending on its speed setting. The home today remains a private residence. Tiny House, Washington This 140 (yes, 140) square foot home outside of Seattle, Washington punches way above its weight–it’s got a kitchen, bathroom, upstairs bedroom, and reading nook all packed in to such a tiny space. It’s also environmentally- friendly, sourcing its energy from solar panels. Who would’ve thought you could do so much with so little? Crocodile House, Ivory Coast At first glance, this home actually does look like a crocodile– but trust us, this house is real and people live here. It was initially built by artist Moussa Kalo, and after his passing it was taken over by one of his apprentices who continues its upkeep. Boeing 727 House, Costa Rica This two- bedroom, two-bathroom home located just outside of Manuel Antonio National Park in Costa Rica is available to rent–for a price. A night here costs more than a week would at most other local options, but you get what you pay for, right? The inside is incredible as well, totally refurbished and paneled with local wood. Bubble House, France This extravagant home located just outside of Cannes was specially designed and built for designer Pierre Cardin, who is not-so- surprisingly renowned for his own avant-garde tastes. It has apparently been the site of some of the region’s most debauched parties, which also somehow seems appropriate Dar al-Hajar, Yemen This monumental looking structure wasn’t constructed as an icon, but it’s certainly become one. Built as the summer home of a powerful Imam, the building is now a museum. Its location just outside of the Yemeni capital of Sana makes this home relatively accessible and it’s become a popular destination for day trips. Upside Down House, Poland This home was built by Polish businessman Daniel Czapiewski as a statement about the “backwardness” he perceived in the country under the Soviet regime. The inside is also decorated in typical Soviet fashion–but upside down of course. Nowadays the house is open to visitors, who are able to enter and walk on the ceiling (the floor?). Bio-Climatic Solar House, France This home, located in eastern France, brings “environmentally-friendly” to a whole new level. The house’s angle and glass facade work so that the home remains warm in the winter and relatively cool during other parts of the year, avoiding the energy expenditures normally associated with homes in this part of the world. Shoe House, South Africa Do you remember the nursery rhyme about the little old lady who lived in a shoe? Well it looks like you’re not alone, as local artist Ron Van Zyl decided to construct this home for his wife in 1990. It’s now part of a complex that includes an art museum, campground, bar, and more. “Crazy House,” Vietnam This bizarre architectural feat known popularly as the “crazy house” was built in 1990 as a pet project by a local architect–but the design, which incorporates many natural elements including animals, mushrooms, and a giant tree trunk, proved to be more expensive than anticipated. As such, a section of the home has acted as a guest house for tourists since the late 90s. Space House, Tennessee This residence, popularly known as the “Space House” or the “Flying Saucer House,” was constructed by one Curtis King back in 1973. Nowadays the home is available for short- term rental options, and the price is apparently quite reasonable! If you’ve been looking for a spaceship experience on a budget, well… here’s an option. http://www..com/2014/12/the-15-coolest-homes-from-around-world.html repping www.google.com |
Phones / 5 Best Android Keyboard Apps 2014 by matrixx9(m): 9:58pm On Dec 30, 2014 |
Swype Swype is a popular keyboard which employs the swipe (or "glide" method for character input. You slide your finger across the letters of the word you wish to type, and then let go once it’s finished (you can learn more in our article on swiping verses typing ). It's a common feature on a most keyboards now, but nowhere is it better implemented than in Swype. Swype learns from your messaging habits, automatically updating its dictionary with new phrases that you type. It creates automatic spaces between words to speed up your workflow and adapts to common mistakes you make. Only when you’re swiping very fast do you encounter problems, but it’s silky smooth for the vast majority of the time and highly responsive. I’m a long-time fan of Swype, though I recognize the swiping technique is an acquired taste. If you want the best example of it, however, then look no further than Swype - the autospace feature alone means faster typing. SwiftKey Possibly the most well known keyboard app on the Google Play Store, SwiftKey has one of the finest typing interfaces available on Android. Like Swype, you can type in the traditional manner or use swiping (which SwiftKey calls "flow", and both methods function equally well. Swiftkey isn’t the only keyboard that offers predictive sentence creating but it might be most useful here. Based on past messages you have typed, SwiftKey is able to guess what the next words in your sentence will be. For example, if you normally follow the word “how” with “are you,” then you can be sure that when you type "how" in future it will offer "are" as the next word. It's an attribute that often allows you to type common sentences in seconds. There are some great options for keyboard size and layout to suit most preferences, including an intriguing “thumb” mode which creates a space between the left and right half of the keyboard. I don’t know exactly how this improves functionality when using your thumb, but it certainly didn't harm the experience in my tests. It's a convenient keyboard and is the only completely free product on our list. Download it and see what you think. Adaptxt Adaptxt utilizes the standard input method or swipe, but swiping definitely works best. It comes with a number of unique features, like enabling you to post straight to Twitter or Facebook once you’ve typed a message, and it can even use your GPS to give word suggestions, like street names or landmarks, based on your current location. Adaptxt also contains the ability to put your keyboard in “private mode”, meaning it won’t learn any of the terms or phrases you use while its enabled. It's something I'd like to see in other keyboards, though maybe it’s a function that’s of more use to me than most other people. I find it annoying that pressing backspace deletes the whole word, not just individual letters, when trying to make quick edits, and overall it doesn’t seem quite as responsive as Swype. However, Adaptxt beats most other keyboards on features and customization options, so it's well worth checking out. Fleksy The first keyboard on the list which doesn't employ swiping, Fleksy nonetheless focuses on speed and accuracy, with large buttons and brilliant autocorrect. It's extremely user- friendly but also houses additionally features like keyboard shrink and even the ability to make the keyboard invisible. Typing with the invisible keyboard actually worked surprisingly well (I was surprised it worked at all, to be honest) but I can’t really see a practical application for it, except to show others how quirky your keyboard can be. I find the default button size a bit large for my personal tastes but I can’t deny its efficiency. It delivers accurate typing, and the simple swipe up and swipe down functions for correcting / adding new words to the dictionary are great. Pressing a button or swiping to make a space does seem slow when other keyboards come with automatic spacing, but for those not yet onboard with how swiping handles, this is my top recommendation for standard typing. Minuum This is an intriguing little number. The Minuum keyboard isn’t strictly QWERTY- based, but is capable of shrinking in size to allow the alphabet to sit on one line. With such small keyboard, Minuum’s autocorrect function needed to be extremely tight to compensate for mistakes, but somehow I was able to type with relative ease and I quickly became proficient. It’s a unique interface and I hope it becomes a success as it genuinely offers something new and credible. I don't usually feel a need to minimize my keyboard, personally, but if it is something you want to do I don’t think you could find a smaller or more efficient solution. Will it speed things up for regular users? I'm not sure. Try it for yourself. And the winner is... My personal favorite is Swype. It looks the best and feels the smoothest - each glide is like a brush stroke across a canvas. SwiftKey is a close second with a significant improvement over stock Android keyboards at no cost, so maybe try this http://www..com/2014/12/best-android-keyboard-apps.html . www.google.com |

A Nigerian man was sentenced to the gallow by a High Court in Malaysia after he was found guilty of trafficking 2,150.4 grammes of methamphetamine at the KL International Airport (KLIA), Sepang, four years ago. Judge Datuk Abdul Halim Aman made the decision on Ibe Godwin Uzochukwu, 37, after he was satisfied at the arguments of the prosecution who managed to submit a prima facie case. Abdul Halim in his judgement said the court found the defence of the accused was just utter denial. The accused was charged with committing the offence at the Exit Route, KLIA Arrival Hall, at 4.30pm on July 1, 2011. He was charged under Section 39B(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 which is punishable under Section 39B (2), of the same act which carries a mandatory death sentence. Six prosecution witnesses and a defence witness were called during the trial. Prosecution was handled by Deputy Public Prosecutor Rashidah Abu Bakar while the accused was represented by counsel Luqman Mazlan. http://www.bernama.com/bernama/v7/ge/newsgeneral.php?id=1097029 http://www..com/2014/12/nigerian-man-to-be-hanged-in-malaysia.html |
Politics / Teenager Remanded For Allegedly Robbing With Toy Gun In Ogun by matrixx9(m): 4:22pm On Dec 30, 2014 |
An Abeokuta Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday remanded two men including a teenage boy, Dayo Akinola, for allegedly robbing a motorcyclist with a toy gun. Akinola, 19, and his accomplice, Damilola Aroyeun, 23, are facing trial on a two-count of armed robbery and possession of firearms. The Magistrate, Mr Emmanuel Adekunte, who did not take the pleas of the accused, said they should be kept behind bars at Ibara Prisons pending advice from the State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp. Augustine Ozimini told the court that the accused committed the offences on Dec. 8 at about 10.09 p.m. at Isale Abetu in the Ogun capital. He said the two accused robbed one Daniel Ogunseye of his motorcycle valued at N200,000 with a toy gun. “The duo accosted Ogunseye at a deserted area and threatened to shoot him with the toy gun if he failed to surrender his motorcycle to them.’’ The offences, the prosecutor said, contravened Sections 1(2), (a) , and 6 (b) of the Armed Robbery and Firearms (Special Provisions) Act, Laws of Nigeria. The magistrate adjourned the case to March 3 for mention.
