My girlfriend and I have been dating for a few weeks now. Her ex has been begging and sometimes forcing her to come back but she refused. She fears the guy because he is an angry and sometimes do beat her while they were dating. Her ex has called severally in my presence and he usually shout and sound rude when trying to tell her to come back. My girlfriend is a girl that is easily afraid. Since we started dating,he has been luring to come. At first,he said the girl should come and collect her sim card, another time shoes and now clothes. She wants to go and collect those things but she ask for my permission to go and take her things. I gave her three conditions Which is 1. She must record all their conversation when she gets there 2. She must collect all her things that very day because I will never allow her go there again 3. She must go with someone. But you know these can't work. What should I do?

Your story about your wife provoking you would not have mattered because you raised your hand in violence against her, and her retaliation would easily.... The law and society is too lapse as far as violence is concerned in Nigeria.

Anyways, the deed has been done and you both cannot continue as you are. Provided your wife has no intentions of seeing you charged for violating her right as a human being, you both should probably engage a professional marriage counselor asap. Whatever it is that has been eating at you both, you should talk about, and maybe decide from there whether your union is worth keeping or not.

Your mum should also probably leave the environment, so husband and wife can have time alone to marinade on what has finally happened to their marriage as well.

I would also like to add that you can both benefit individually from some mental health counselling if there are anger issues apparent. You make your wife sound like she has anger issues she is dealing with, but since she isn't the one speaking, there isn't a way of really telling. However, for you, don't hesitate to get some anger management counseling for future.

I am currently running my masters degree here in Nigeria with few months to finish before the ASUU strike came.
I have plan to use the certificate to boost my Japa plan initially. I have also invested alot of time and resources into the study.
With each day passing, I am getting really tired of Nigeria and I feel my time is been wasted.
I don't know if I should just start applying to schools abroad to start afresh or wait to finish this course in Nigeria.

I always tell people trying to do any post-degree program in Nigeria, to do so in a private uni.
please if you have the means travel, preferably Scotland, I did my MBA there.
