Ameachi said "We are corrupt because you don't stone us." He is absolutely right. The time has come to start stoning all corrupt politicians!! |
[quote author=ehissi post=45504356]The case was a foolish man's undertaking from the get-go!! Anyone who has half a brain would know that it is politically motivated for the following reasons!! 1.) The CCT cannot Jail Saraki; it can only bar him from holding public office, seize his assets and recommend him for impeachment or sack before the Senate. That's all!! They just want him out of the Senate and if possible spoil his career for going against parties choice for senate presidency. Chikena!! 2.) The Court is a special administrative court that is under the CCB, which is under the Secretary General of The Federation. As opposed to normal court, where you petition the NJC, National Judicial Commission if a judge is deemed to be unethical. In the case of the CCT you petition the Office of the Secretary General. And who appoints the Secretary General of the Federation directly??........ President Buhari. Which is actually the core reason the Senate wanted to amend the CCT act, so that it could bring it directly under the Judiciary and take it away from the Presidency to force CCT judges to be accountable before the Courts/the law instead of the Presidency!! At the end of the day: this court is a Kangaroo court and won't even dare find Saraki guilty because too many flops were involved in the proceedings which could indict the judge assuming the court was under the Judiciary !! How can EFCC be prosecuting a case for CCB in a CCT before a judge that initially refused to clear an allegation of #100million Naira bribe raised by the same EFCC- only for EFCC to clear the Judge of the #100million bribe allegation after he insisted that Saraki face trial before him in his court; in a court under the direct Jurisdiction of the Presidency and you expect fair judgement!!?? Buhari is just making a mockery of the office of Presidency before the world!! No wonder David Cameron was forced to comment!! First U accuse Dasuki of Diverting $2.1billion; yet you place him on trial for a punny #25billion Naira - roughly $80million!! What happened to the balance of over $2.02billion dollars and why isn't he facing trial forthe balance as well We nor know and Nigerians no ask!!Then when the time comes for you to prove he stole the money in open court; you ask the Judge for secret trial - which the Judge Bluntly refuse - till today FG has refused to bring Dasuki to court till today!! Nnamdi Kanu nko?? You accuse him of Treason and spreading hate speech and succession!! After using him to shine in the media; oya come to court and prove it. You ask for secret trial, when e no work, you ask for prosecution witnesses to wear mask in court to hide their identity - whether na there Lai Mohammed get inspiration to brand/Repackage Masquerades for employment we nor know - now we no hear Nnamdi matter again!!Budget 2016 nko?? After Buhari present Padded budget with his signature, National Assembly ask am wetin happen; e say na Budget Office Sabotage Budget say them go deal seriously with all those involved!! Make una tell me, How many people have been prosecuted in the budget office forpadding of 2016 budget!!?? Nobody!! Not even one Osun mosquito, they only retired the DG budget office - which is normal, when any new government comes in, DG and Permanent secretaries are retired - and went to the press and said they sacked him and then retired all DG's of Federal Parastatals that's all!! But yet some confused Nigerians dey clap for anti-corruption drive whey no get spare tire!! Meanwhile Na almighty Buhari dey yarn for twitter say Abacha no steal; say but people thief money under am!! Even though, Swiss government wan send money whey them thief give am direct from Abacha's personal Swiss account Koro Koro!! For where! E no gree, E say Abacha no thief!! Chai!! This baba sef, na One Chance Oooh!! [/quoteAll this one typed won't stop Bihari from fighting corruption. Go and read the history of Nigeria and tell me of any President whether military or civilian that jailed as many people as Bihari. He is d only President with that Pedigree. and that is why his integrity can be faulted even by his opposition. Even PDP attested to that during last last campaign,. Recently the Catholic Bishops visited him to lend him their support in fighting corruption while they consistently criticised Jonathan when he was there. Yet Buhari is a moslem. Let's wait for 1 year and see if some so called notable politicians will not have been jailed. Then we will be able to compare Jonathan's efcc with Buharis own |
cktheluckyman:So u hope to see Saraki released based on technicalities or procedures rather than him defending himself in court. What I can deduce from our argument is that u have unwittingly pronounced Saraki guilty and can only rely on technicalities. No wonder God on Brown said Nigeria is fantastically corrupt. |
willyede:Do u want to compare British politicians with Nigeria's. You should be ashamed of yourself. At least British politicians have provided social amenities first for their people before being corrupt. What infrastructures has your Nigerian politicians put in place yet stealing so much... no light, no good roads, no quality education, no good medicals.... and yet u feel like mocking Brown.... the same people many Nigerians are slaving for in England abandoning their country. I think d joke is on you and not Brown. You should weep for our country, nothing to defend. |

Purpletee:You can help her to continue mourning from where she left off... Ever heard of crying more than the bereaved? |
What goes round comes around. So Oshiomole could feel disturbed by others loud-mouthedness. Yet he was busy doing a loud-mouthed newspaper trial of NOI throughout last year. Now he has met his match in loud mouthedness. |
Nigeria is the only country i know where a common corporal(a beginner in PF) own 2/3 houses while their peers in teaching service are living in rented room and parlour!! You can imagine how rich the DPOs and ASPs would be. No coincidence many of d DPOs have 3/4 wives. They can only afford it through daily extortions. |
Dash me if u know want. |
ademega: Wish u success. Goodnight. |
ademega: Really? And u no wan die. But how can a girl or two overpower u as a man? So, that s why u go through all those CIA screening before u bed them? U want to explore without getting caught. Pray one powerful mummy-water no go scramble ur computer screening one day!! |
ademega:But why all these precautions? I thought u are d male. Females are d endangered ones in most of these rape cases. |
Mummy mi Leko ni yen!!! Sharp woman. |
Obasanjo is of course right. The 2nd most corrupt institution during the last administration was the National Assembly and Nigerians are on a long thing unless they confront these legis-looters. Already, they are planning how to frustrate Buharis anti-corruption drive. The drama over the missing budget is one of their jokers of dealing with Buhari. They joined the last government in looting our treasury. During budget defence they always insisted that the MDAs break down their budget items but their own budget is not done the same way. While the budgets of d executives and judiciary is fully scrutinised theirs is never and they have consistently refused to open it up to their constituents. I will team up with anybody to mount pressure on them to do d right thing and all Nigerians should do same. The fact that OBJ has added his voice does not make the message less serious. |
Demdem:Well, all ur rantings does not move me a bit. It only confirms well know assertions that politicians like Ameachi have paid agents whose job it is to launder their dirty image in public. In the end i wont be surprised if ur principal actually stole more than Ibori. We know that the pest ravishing the vegetable is inside the vegetable and all those benefiting from their corruptions will come to nairaland to defend them. Just know that we know that your principal is a thief and is worse than Anini! |
Demdem:Good day, Oga Demdem. I just thought i should update u on our last subject of discussion. I thought u said they were kangaroo panel with nothing serious to pin on Ameachi. So, how do u feel now? U know while i dont blame u we must never put our reputation on the line for nigerian politicians - they are simply demonic. Remember u said i was a kid and dont have political maturity - now see where Ameachi has put you! Of course, i am not yet convicting Ameachi. He has a right to defend himself - in nigeria u are innocent until proven otherwise so i will be waiting for Ameachis cock and bull defence. And pls keep me posted in case u get an inside scoop of Ameachis line of defence - will love to glean from ur wealth of ''political maturity'' in defending corrupt political office holders. I remain ur learning kid brother. As the Judicial Commission of Inquiry set up by the Rivers State Government to probe the sale of valued assets of the state and other matters continued its sitting on Friday, the technical consultant to the state on the monorail project, Arcus Gibbs revealed that he advised former Governor Chibuike Amaechi against continuing with the project. Managing Director of Arcus Gibbs Nig Ltd, Wiero Viguezang, however said his company gave the advice only after collecting N22.9bn from the Rivers State Government since its services were enlisted in March 1, 2010. Viguezang spoke when he appeared before the commission to explain the role played by his company in the monorail project being probed by the commission. While being cross-examined by counsel to the commission, Dr. Zaccheus Adangor, Viguezang, stated that the monorail project was no longer tenable considering the shortfall in the state’s revenue and the inability of its original technical and equity partners, TSI Nig Ltd, headed by the former military administrator of Rivers State, Brig-Gen Anthony Ukpo (Rtd.), to fulfil its obligations to contribute 80 per cent of its equity holdings. He disclosed that the state owes his company N1.1bn for its services. He also said the company had in a letter to the Rivers State through the ministry of transport, in April, made a six-point recommendation to the Rivers State on how to unbundle the monorail project in such a way that the state government can salvage some financial benefits out of the N33.9bn so far invested in the project. The monorail project was originally estimated to cost about Euros2250m. The technical partner had in its sixth point of recommendation suggested to the Rivers State Government to unbundle the monorail project and approach the manufacturers of the mechanical components and rail tracks in Germany and exploit the possibility of reselling components at a lower price to the manufacturers. He said the company also advised the state government to consider the option of using the monorail facilities for other commercially viable purposes, mentioning the spaces between pillars and surrounding areas of the monorail project, stressing that the area between Azikiwe Road and the UTC axis could be put into very fruitful commercial purpose. Viguezang also told the commission that his company and the state government had planned to unveil the monorail project last April specifically to mislead the people of Rivers State into thinking that the project, which has gulped N33.9bn, was still on course. He admitted that his company wrote a memo to the commissioner for transport to arrange the unveiling of the project essentially for media coverage since the project was “technically uncompleted”. According to Viguezang, “We actually wrote to the ministry of transport in January, to arrange for the governor to unveil the monorail project in April for the attention and coverage of the media based on the expectation of the people of the state.” When asked to clarify if the unveiling was to deceive the people of Rivers State into believing that the controversial monorail project was ready, Viguezang admitted; “It was to deceive the people into believing that the monorail project was at last ready”. The managing director, however, stressed that “apart from the media coverage and public attention that it is expected to generate, the monorail was not technically and commercially ready. Only phase 1a within phase 1 of the project was ready. So, there was no way the public would have been able to use the monorail as at April when we asked the ministry of transport to unveil the project to the media”. Viguezang admitted that the Rivers State government enlisted services of Arcus Gibbs at the cost of N600 million from March 1, 2010 to December 1, 2010, after the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with TSI collapsed because TSI could not raise revenue to fulfil the payment of its 80 per cent equity share capital. He stated that part of its role as the technical service provider to the Rivers State government concerning the monorail project was to evaluate and assess the activities of TSI and give an independent opinion to the Rivers State government. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/how-technical-consultants-advised-amaechi-against-monorail-project-after-collecting-n22bn/218811/ (Quote) (Report) (Like) 1 Share (Share) |
Sweetlemon:So if u own a company u will employ the MD based strictly on trustworthiness and clean track records and ignore achievement or competence? Do u know of any serious organisation that does that eg banks, telecoms or oil companies. So buhari wants to populate his government with imams, alfas, pastors to prove integrity, abi. I foresee mediocrity in governance under GMB.The South undoubtedly have more seasoned professionals with international experience than the north.Name any northerner that have reached the positions reached by d following southerners - NOI at world bank, Emeka Anyaoku commonwealth, Taslim Olawale Elias at the world court etc. Name any field in Nigeria and u will find the south leading it. And about your title there is only one angle to look at failure - failure does not have another angle. Like Mourinho said, GMB based on his appointments will soon become specialist in failure. |
Firefire:I hope his sabbatical leave is not sponsored by Tinubu because they said that is tinubus speciality - make u an offer u cant refuse. |
shinaidowu:Is it only northeners that can bring development to the country? So Buhari can not find men of integrity in the south, only north, abi? If GMB can not find honorable men in the south then it shows how local and restricted his world view is and that is dangerous for Nigeria. |
Demdem:Keep dancing round in circles thinking u can confuse Nigerian youths. They are more intelligent than all d pr stunts u people think you are doing. We know some of you people are paid to launder d image of some of these dirty and corrupt politicians online but Nigerian youths are more intelligent than that. The Nigerian youth remain resolute on one thing -corruption must be fought effectively - all govs probed and sent to jail maybe starting with Ameachi. Then others will follow - Jonathan, Allinson Madueke, Theodore Orji, Tinubu etc will have their day in court. When it comes to corruption i have zero tolerance for it - no sacred cows even if u helped Buhari get to power! This has nothing to do with parties - corrupt individuals populate both parties and they must be shamed publicly. I support Buhari jailing Jonathan because he incompetently put us in this big mess So let Buhari jail Jonathan while Wike jail Ameachi - thats how to return power to the people. |
Demdem:Ameachi campaigned for CHANGE ie things must not be as they used to be . Now public opinion must count. Buhari believes in accountability and Ameachi is Buharis pally. And if Ameachis problem is d selected months let him gracefully extend d tenure himself. If Ameacji wants to account for his whole tenure then nobody is stopping him. Let him do so but he must account! And yes i am a kid! And i dont want ur type of political maturity that protects corrupt public officers. It only happens in d zoo never in civilised societies -publicly hobnobbing with accused criminals. |
Demdem:Your position appears like you are condoning corruption. The panel is not a court but investigative fact finding panel. Even if it is likely to be biased why cant Ameachi use it as an opportunity to address the public and explain his own side to the public. Irrespective of what d panel arrives at, the public is d ultimate judge. Lets stop defending corrupt politicians and call them out to defend themselves. Even i support Buhari probing Wikes tenure as Education Minister. |
Demdem:Are u saying we should leave a thief because he has being accused by another thief? The panel has barely sat and u already know it is biased. has it made any conclusions. Let Ameachi go there and defend himself publicly - he owes that to riveirians. All former governors should give account of their stewardship ditto Jonathan. |
dridowu:Ok, so she will run it as charity from her money? Oh she is the Melinda Gates of Nigeria? ![]() |
grandstar:Youve gotten it all wrong. The reason he couldnt pay salaries is not becos of drop in oil prices but bad economic planning. Have u heard of a popular concept called saving for the rainy day? Even my grandma in d village understands that much less a governor who is educated. For a long time b4 now the former finance minister NOI warned them openly and severally about d coming oil price drop but they shunned her cries politicising it. Everybody knew oil prices would drop - shale oil and other factors. A responsible manager would have put measures in place through fiscal discipline yet he continued spending w recklessly to impress people. Any competent manager of resources will always match his expenditure with income. Instead Aregbesola went borrowing beyond d state capacity. Mind u he is an executive governor. I really pity Osun people. While Omisore might not have been a credible candidate for Osun people, Aregbesola with this has proved he is incompetent to manage resources. They had restricted choices really in d last elections. And with d benefit of hindsight what was Aregbesolas antecedents to manage resources. What company/companies did he manage successfully to qualify to manage state finances? In Nigeria people who have never managed #10m of their money are suddenly entrusted with managing billions of whole state resources-what should we expect? |
Zehner:So u are also jobless like her. ![]() |
grandstar:Were the workers responsible for his profligacy? He should first sack himself by resigning, then a new governor can do damage control. In Greece the Prime Minister just resigned. |
Zehner:Who ask u now ? When u are not introvert. |
dridowu:When u ar in d jungle u can only survive by d rules of d jungle. Those species that ignored d rules of d jungle have become extinct. Dont compare Europes justice system with Nigerias - we still have a long way to go. No CCTV system, No fingerprint system, No past criminal records database. So, in the meantime use what you have to take care of ur problems. |
ATMC:If a Nigerian man marries a Swede lady does it not make sense to Nigerianise her? Give her a Nigerian name - Nkechi ? Got it? |
FxDuke:Ah ah ! What do u mean by she is not YET dead? I hope u are not planning to go and finish d job? ![]() |
Brugo:What context is that? |

and oh! remember we are not searching for achievements but trustworthiness and clean track records.
