Christianity Etc › Re: Calling Upon The Name Of Jesus Will Not Save You?! by MaxInDHouse(m): 7:04am On Feb 01, 2025
Steep:
If you don't repent, your end will be terrible. There is no name apart from Jesus christ that can save you. May God have mercy on you.
Acts 4:10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 4:11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
There are TWO names that's connected to mankind's salvation {John 17:3} that is why those who will rule with Christ Jesus in heaven had these TWO names written on their foreheads {Revelations 14:1} the name we need to call for our salvation is JEHOVAH not JESUS.
But why Paul always emphasize on the name of Jesus?
Majority of first century Christians were Judaists who already knew the name of God Almighty (Jehovah) and they were all aware of the promises God made regarding the Christ but they don't know that the Christ has come in the name of Jesus of Nazareth.
Before arguing check the prophecy of Joel 2:32 in your KJV it's written like this:

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.
The title LORD here is not title in the original manuscripts rather it's the divine name YHWH that's why the NWT rendered the same verse this way:

And everyone who calls on the name of JEHOVAH will be saved; For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who escape, just as JEHOVAH has said, The survivors whom JEHOVAH calls.”

In the Old Testament prophecies about the Christ was never written rendering the title in capital letter:

The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. Psalms 110:1 KJV

There are TWO persons David referred here the capital in full here is JEHOVAH while the lower case is for Jesus.

You can confirm this in Peter's words at Pentecost {Act 2:34} so the name we are to call for our salvation is JEHOVAH but then Jehovah will only grant our request if we use the name of AMEN to conclude our prayer and who is the AMEN?

Check the Bible book of Revelation 3:14 and compare to Revelations 1:5 Jesus is the AMEN! John 14:6

May you have peace!

All he has to do is show me: "it says here 9 tribes formed Northern Kingdom and Joseph was living in Judah as Samaritans". That's all.
What would you say is a gathering of true believers and is there only one such gathering?
There's a reason why all the nations were against Israel back then in the land of Canaan: only Israel stands out as they worship a God who sets standard which separated them from all other nations!

So the gathering of true believers is also a unique gathering that's noticable for their separation {2Corinthians 6:17} as a group whose faith stands out globally {Matthew 5:14-16} they have the same line of thought {John 17:22; 1 Corinthians 1:10; Ephesians 4:3} they don't follow traditions but based their beliefs and doctrines on what the Bible teaches {John 17:17} in everywhere you go people are talking about the love this group have among themselves {John 13:34-35} they takes the preaching and teaching assignments Jesus gave them seriously {Matthew 28:19-20} and as disciples of the Prince of Peace {Isaiah 9:6} they don't participate in worldly politics {John 17:14-16} which makes people of all other religions hate them {John 15:19} Jesus has a small group of anointed men whom he has assigned to oversee them {Matthew 24:45} and throughout the earth they are all obedient to these anointed men! Act 2:42

That is the gathering of Holy Ones who are serving as brothers of Christ that he said we must RECOGNIZE {Matthew 25:34-40} he said his father has chosen them to rule with him in heaven! Luke 12:32
Christianity Etc › Re: As A Muslim, Why Don't You Support Sharia Law In Yorubaland? by MaxInDHouse(m): 5:25am On Feb 01, 2025
Thormentor:
This is a very complex and complicated thing I really find hard to comprehend. I have seen far-right Yoruba conservative like Aare Kurunmi Kakanfo on X who is a Muslim going against establishing Sharia in Yorubaland for SW Muslim. Now , how will someone who believe in the Hadith not support Sharia in Nigeria? wink
Intelligent people knows the difference between FAITH and POLITICS!

If i choose to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses the rules of that religion will be my own PERSONAL rules that i must live by and it's only in the gathering of Jehovah's Witnesses that such rules must be enforced but in other religions such can't be possible because they are all into politics therefore when politicians are seeking support to gain power they will brainwash members of their religion to force their beliefs on others who never subscribe to their faith so any wise person knows that Christendom churches and Islam is built on politics not just faith and their leaders wants to rule the people in disguise! smiley

No siree, language is not my problem. To be honest, I'm beginning to suspect you might have been lying.
I've read 1 King inside out and nowhere do I see that 9 tribes formed Northern Kingdom. Infact forget 1 King, nowhere in the whole Bible do I see that. Also, I don't see Joseph mentioned anywhere as living in Judah as Samaritans.

No sir, we have to conclude you were lying - 10 tribes made up the Northern Kingdom not 9, and Joseph was not living in Judah as Samaritans.
When you meet individuals who loves arguing fruitlessly know that such ones are avoiding just one thing: obedience!

There are many who don't understand the word of God so they say and do things that's of no sense but when you present the truth to them they will thank you for helping them to see the light and ask you to tell them where you are getting this life saving information since we all have the same book (Bible) yet there is contradictions everywhere.

Surely there must be a gathering of real believers where there is no confusion as to doctrine and belief! 1Corinthians 1:10; Ephesians 4:3; Colossians 2:2
Such can only be possible when there is willingness to yield to reproof, teaching, correction and training in righteousness {2Timothy 3:16} then each of them will submit to the same line of thought and work together as one team! John 17:22

Kobojunkie is just moving from thread to thread arguing to fight against the spirit of submission so that they can continue in their arrogance claiming they know. If you welcome their ideas you will discover that they have nothing tangible to offer other than REBELLION! smiley
Christianity Etc › Re: If God is love, why did He harden Pharaoh's heart in Exodus 9:12?" by MaxInDHouse(m): 4:52am On Feb 01, 2025
Most atheists will say they want to prove science against the existence of God but they will tell you to follow the process in which they've been taught so it's not you that will make demands regarding how they should prove what they had in mind but when the same atheist wants to talk about God he will start making demands instead of following the same process used to prove what he BELIEVES: SCIENCE! smiley

So you mean someone told you this and you took him seriously? cheesy

Come on my guy those are words to the misinformed religionists around you not what God said about Himself.

To Moses He said: “I Will Become What I Choose to Become.” He added “This is what you are to say to the Israelites, ‘I Will Become has sent me to you.’” Exodus 3:14

Now what is the import of this statement?

The Israelites who were slaves in Egypt need to be freed but how? God CHOSE to use a stone to kill two birds by making the world's most powerful nation of that time release His people with trembling and fear. Egyptians and their King needs to see this God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in ACTION not physical but through what he chooses to become.

It's what He chooses (not what they ask) that both Moses, Israelites, Pharaoh had Egyptians need to know that truly He is the most high God.

So don't go about making demands thinking He must dance to your own tune rather follow what is stated in His words as promises and if such promises aren't coming to fulfillment then is the right time to say "He doesn't exist"

God promised a time when people from different countries around the world will start paying attention to what is contained in the FAIRY TALES {Isaiah 2:2-3} and what will be the result? Different if those Israelites were dominating everywhere today - instead they've disappeared!
That's exactly the warning God sounded through Moses:

I will raise up for them from the midst of their brothers a prophet like you, and I will put my words in his mouth, and he will speak to them all that I command him. Indeed, I will require an account from the man who will not listen to my words that he will speak in my name. Deuteronomy 18:18-19

The Jews rejected Jesus of Nazareth and ever since then their land continued to be invaded until they disappeared.
Today the people claiming Jews in Israel are not related to those who lived there in Jesus' day but people claiming Jews because they practice Judaism.

That's the cause of unending dispute that have lasted for centuries because the real inhabitants has been displaced now their descendants wants to reclaim their land! smiley

Then we said that knowing you with your serpentine twisting, we don't want a situation whereby we will explain to you now and you will still be twisting and wriggling like a snake. Even true believers go dey fear to be true believers, before their god will fuuIishly use them to play bet with Satan. 😂
Now you are talking as an atheist!

You don't even know the meaning of the word "BELIEVE"
The TRUST (BELIEVE) is so strong in our minds that nothing can shake our faith in God:

On the contrary, in all these things we are coming off completely victorious through the one who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life nor angels nor governments nor things now here nor things to come nor powers nor height nor depth nor any other creation will be able to separate us from God’s love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:37-39

Jesus said:

“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life;  and everyone who is living and exercises faith in me will never die at all. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26

So true believers know that this is not the life our God purposed for us:

safely treasuring up for themselves a fine foundation for the future, so that they may get a firm hold on the real life. 1Timothy 6:19

Here we are like strangers because the plan our God has for us is to LIVE FOREVER! John 3:16; Psalms 37:29 smiley

But there are people following this conversation and you have called upon them once or twice to bear witness to what we are saying. If you are a teacher of the law and a promoter of Jehovah witness organisation, surely this is a very minor question for you to answer and Jehovah witness organisation to answer. So, tell our audience, according to Jehovah witness which you are preaching:
What is the meaning of a revolt against the LORD?
What does it mean for a man to rebel or revolt against the LORD?
You claim John did something evil and i asked you to tell everyone what exactly John did so there is no sense in throwing questions at me because i have explained why John will not be part of those going to rule with Christ Jesus in heaven but you insisted that i am wrong therefore you are to prove me wrong by expatriating further!

Atheism made many people really funny.
How can you just wake up and set your own rules for a mighty person to do what you wish instead of doing what he says in order to prove he is truly mighty?

God promised to do something and said nothing can stop Him from achieving His goal, He lifted everything in His word and it's happening just as He promised yet some claims He doesn't exist because He has not done what they are saying He should before they can believe in His existence.

This is evasion of the topic via disconnected ramblings, not exegesis. Oh, and I don't know if you noticed but you just debunked free will. So your omnibenevolent god saw no better, less destructive alternatives to convey his message? Very interesting.
...a proverb so spectacularly misguided, and profoundly irrelevant to the question at hand. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't genuinely impressed by its sheer audacity. So far in your argument, you've debunked God's omnibenevolence, as well as the concept of human free will. Was that your intention all along, or did you unwittingly blast off your own foot trying to resolve your cognitive dissonance? Orchestrating defiant behaviors in humans does not align with the concept of an all-powerful, omnibenevolent deity.
