Read according to the context, Paul was speaking to the women of the church at Corinth because of their disorderly behaviour, he said "let your women keep silence" It does not mean women cant speak in the church but however not to disrupt service.

Hahahaha.
So your church is the datum for others.
On whose authority?
This is why i hate responding to you because it's like you just want to argue with me at every given chance not that you are liberal.
The OP asked question anticipating responses from believers and instead of you to say what you believe on the subject matter you left that following me as if i'm the person you're looking for on the forum. undecided

Why would God do that? It is true Paul was writing to Corinthians primarily but he claimed to 'know in part'
My comment is about how we apply Paul's letter in my church so you too can apply it the way you believe in yours.
I'm not forcing it on you rather you asked like an interested person after all the OP's question is what you too should have made a meaningful contribution to not just waiting for others! undecided

When a man and a woman are behind a closed door and they have agreed to live together as one body it's unnecessary poking into their SECRECY i believe that's why God gave Adam and Eve privacy otherwise they aren't supposed to know when a Spirit is approaching their domain! Genesis 3:8

So as long as what they chose to do together won't hurt any of the two God is less concerned because the two according to God's word have become one {Genesis 2:24} setting rules for them when they've chosen to be together is tantamount to separating them! Matthew 19:6

Note the bolded.
Scriptural backing?
Sound reasoning!

Only a baptized individual is believed to be a Christian {Matthew 28:19} that's why Jesus' disciples were baptizing those that have agreed to become followers of Jesus! John 3:26

Christ is the head of every man while the man is the head of the woman it's wrong for the woman to lead men in sacred service just as no man can lead Christ during sacred service. 1 Corinthians 11:3-6

Angels are irritated when things aren't done appropriately and they can strike someone dead at the spot where sacred service is not taken seriously {2Samuel 6:7} so we must avoid irritating them by allowing females to take the lead {1Corinthians 11:10} so if it's only females that are baptized in the congregation then one qualified baptized female will lead the congregation during sacred service that's why she needs a covering to show respect for her head which are males in the congregation since she's not supposed to lead them in sacred service. 1Corinthians 11:3

May you have PEACE!

Oga if your interpretation of what Jesus said is correct, you would provide the answers to what I am asking below: Kindly show us where and when Jesus told the Isrealites to follow him and How the isrealites followed him to become christians in agreement with your statement on how to become a Christian in the screenshot below. Kindly show us where Moses and the isrealites were commanded to be born again by baptizing in the name of Jesus and also with the holy spirit to gain salvation.
You are not nice at all!

So what exactly do you expect him to do with that comment you're showing in screenshot?

Do you expect him to admit that he was wrong?

Come on, you and i know that only Jehovah's Witnesses Organization teaches their members through the way they admit their past mistakes and come forward to announce that there is a NEW LIGHT.

Other religions never taught their members in such a manner rather they will continue arguing blindly even when they can see that they committed a blunder in the past.

He will not admit even though he has included it in his past comment that one can't be a Christian without knowing Jesus' teachings! smiley

Very stupid question. Are the old and new testament not the word of God. Are you to reveal to God who he should give a specific prophecy? Please ask a more serious question
I am a Judaist so i don't see Jesus of Nazareth as a true prophet so i'm still expecting Elijah to come and prepare the way for the Christ but i heard that the so called Jesus of Nazareth whom his followers claimed to be their Christ said Elijah has come.

Since I don't believe whatever Jesus' friends like Matthew, Mark, Luke and John penned down can you use the Old Testament that Judaists regarded as sacred and inspired writings to convince me that Elijah has come and gone?

The verse said nothing about prophets. So don't say according to the verse. Instead, say according to your pastor.
Blind argument again.
If David called Jesus his Lord {Psalms 110:1} it simply means no prophet has ever had what Jesus will bring.

But it's obvious you just enjoy arguing for the sake of it so stick to your lane. smiley

So a 16 years old girl is too young to be a Christian?
And yes, children are allowed to choose yet Jesus Christ tells your that the kingdom of God belongs to them. What you are saying is not adding up.
The kingdom of God doesn't belong to children o!
What Jesus meant is that anyone who wants to enter the kingdom of God must humble himself and become teachable like children because they are always willing to learn.

"They will dash you and your children within you to the ground, and they will not leave a stone upon a stone in you, because you did not discern the time of your being inspected.” Luke 19:44

Above is what Jesus told Israelites who refused to become Christians so their children will perish with them because they can't teach those children what they refused to learn!

Jesus Christ was entitled to revelation and communication from heaven. So if John was Elijah, he would know.
The name "Jesus" was never mentioned in the Old Testament and that's the only scripture to be referenced in the first century to back anything someone say.

Can you adequately use the old testament to prove that Jesus was right with that statement at Matthew 11:13-15?

Don't give your own meanings to the message. Stick to the word of God and not the word of your pastor.
According to that verse no prophet has ever spoken with full conviction like Jesus saying it's certain that whoever practices what he teaches will have everlasting life.
That's why the Pharisees and other Jewish Rabbis were antagonizing Jesus because they feel only God has the right to make such declaration whereas Jesus has been chosen to do the judging!
Christianity Etc › Re: JW 005 What Is The Difference Between Christians And Jehovah's Witnesses? by MaxInDHouse(op): 8:36am On Sep 08, 2024
tctrills:
None of the verses you mentioned are saying what you wrote, why is that?
Christians are followers of Christ no child who has not grown enough to make such a decision can be counted as a follower.

For instance according to the law if a 20 year old man sleeps with a 16 year old girl it is child abuse but if the girl is 18 they are both seen as adults.
In the same manner your faith doesn't save your child that's why God instructed His people to TEACH their children His laws {Deuteronomy 6:6-7} because the child must be given the freewill to decide for himself or herself if Christianity appeals to him or her.
It's when the child is old enough to make such a decision and actually took the step that he or she could be counted as one of Jesus' disciples!

Christianity Etc › Re: What It Means To Be Truly Humble As A Christian by MaxInDHouse(m): 8:26am On Sep 08, 2024
Humility connotes submissiveness!

When there is a norm that binds people under some forms of rule or regulations whoever is willing to support such arrangement without being compelled or forced is humble.

You can't be humble in the absence of others being around you having to do something together.

Please which bible translation are you using? My translation is definitely not giving the same information as yours. grin grin grin grin Luke 4.32
And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.
That verse simply means salvation has never been preached with authority before Jesus so it's after Jesus that people can be certain that they are qualified for everlasting life if they put everything Jesus commanded to practice. No prophet or law has declared salvation what the people knew is that they were serving God and when death comes God will reward them by remembering them during the resurrection but a Christian has been given what he needs to live forever that's why Christians were counted as being saved!

That's the import of the verse.

tctrills:
First, Matthew 28.19 did not say you should be baptized before you can be called a Christian.
Secondly you need to quote me correctly.
So if as a Christian family we have Young kids who are yet to be baptized, are those kids Christian or not?
They are not according to Jesus.

Note that Jesus is the Lord and baptism means dedication to Jehovah, at birth baby Jesus was taken to the temple for dedication to Jehovah {Luke 2:27} yet before he began his ministry as the head of Christianity {1Corinthians 11:3} Jesus insisted that John baptize him! Matthew 3:13

So a person who is not baptized can't serve as a Christian in the ministry that's what Jesus laid down as RIGHTEOUSNESS a must to be fulfilled! Matthew 3:15

Anyone who lived and died before Jesus started his ministry can't be a Christian because in Christianity we must practice what Jesus taught {Matthew 7:24-27} and according to God's word what Jesus taught has never been heard before! Luke 4:32 compare to John 7:46

“Let the dead bury their dead, but you go and declare abroad the Kingdom of God.”

Jesus said the above in the Bible book of Luke 9:60 and apostle Matthew recorded the same thing in his gospel @ Matthew 8:22

Going by that verse can someone practicing a religion or act of self imposed righteousness but refused to practice what Jesus taught gain salvation? Luke 18:18-23 compare to John 3:16
Christianity Etc › Re: Let Your Women Keep Silence In The Churches: Was Paul Wrong? by MaxInDHouse(m): 6:16am On Sep 08, 2024
Females should KEEP QUIET where men are talking about sacred secrets but they can assist their children and female neighbors in preaching and teaching.

The only room open for a female to stand preaching before men is when there are no baptized males in the gathering then she will have to lead in prayer and worship but she must use a cloth to cover her head as a sign of respect for the headship that rightfully belongs to men. 1Corinthians 11:3-6

Thank you!

Wait oga what are you talking about. Jesus Christ did not break the process. He said be baptized and receive the Holy Ghost. You don't do one and live out the other.
Whenever the apostles of Christ saw people who where baptized and not given the Holy Ghost, they immediately corrected it.

My guy you don't even know what Christianity is all about but it's a pity that you choose to argue blindly each time you have the opportunity to learn.

Jesus' disciples weren't educated in their time yet they were BORN AGAIN Christians and can explain in simple terms what it means to be a Christian and a Born Again. Act 4:13
So if your grandmother knows that baptism in Christ Jesus makes her a Christian and having Holy Spirit makes her a Born Again ọmọ she doesn't need any exam again she has scored 109%✓ undecided
