I think we are getting over ourselves here about Buhari..Why are we not asking no questions about this man. He ruled Nigeria for few years, claimed he got no money..bla bla and we took these all in. At this important moment in our history, we decided to pit our tent with over 70yrs old man with a "politically naive law professor" who is a heartbeat to a president.

Tinubu might think he is a genius but he forgot he is dealing with a strong military man who overthrown a democratically elected president.

Jonathan looks dull and doesn't fit to be a president but putting looks aside he has made some great stride especially through agriculture which I believe can improve the economy. His biggest fault is surrounding himself with corrupt basta**rds and out of control wife and he seems clueless on how to deal with them.

Maybe if he gets another 4yrs he might consolidate on what he has done and if he doesn't we vote him out for another progressive youth. He has been a deputy, a governor, vice and a president. .pls point out any Nigerian with that experience but we still call him clueless.

20 years is not enough to transform Nigeria but let move a step after another not one step forward and 5 steps backward. Buhari is not going to do any miracle but one thing we r sure of is that, with Jonathan we are moving forward painfully but not backwards with open eyes.

I cant understand the logic behind this book at the time our country is at a crossroads. What he intends to achieve is beyond me. If violence erupts cause of this reckless behaviour of an "elder" stateman, he wont suffer the consequences. ..the losser will be millions of unemployed youths who will be caught in the middle.

During my service year I discovered that my calling was in the field of business.
I made big money reselling chickens I bought from a farm faraway from town. (I never knew that the returns were rewarding when you invest in poutry)

With my little ideas about raising chickens I went home to beg for little support from my dad to start a poutry farm(the land was available) but forwhere he declined. He was scared that I might make so much money and refuse to get married whereas my brother was "settled" handsomely to start his company.

ASUU strike has disorganised things but we have to keep moving... I've been shopping for schools in the UK, picked one, analysed the fees and i, with the support of my family are raising funds for a post graduate degree in finance. Things are going fine with respect to raising the funds. But to be honest, i intend settling in the Uk after my studies and starting a new life there. Please house. Is this advisable? What are the potential challenges i may face be it immigration, money or unemployment problems? Please i need your opinion. Thank you.

My good friend, go to any other country expect UK. After you spent all your money to get post graduate, 1. you have zero chance of getting a job.
2. you have zero chance of getting visa(they have stopped giving post graduate visa to work). 3. please dont plan to stay on as illegal, you will regret it.

Wow!!! Am not surprised how stupid and gullible Nigerian are but sometimes our naivety is a big concern to me. How many of us have seen a drone before? That picture is a drone, the story around it might be different but am 100% sure that is a drone. what do expect the police to say..the standard reply all over the world is to deny anything the government is doing and dont want the citizen to do know about it.

There are different types of drone: surveillance and combat. This one is a surveillance drone and am sure this has been flying in our airspace for long time and am sure the govt. knw about it.

PapaBrowne: I think the post of CBN would kind of belittle Elumelu. The guy is poised for much bigger. Boggling him down in regulatory bureaucracy would not cut it for Elumelu. The trending words today in global finance are impact investment, conscious capitalism and social entrepreneurship. Elumelu is at the forefront of these three with his Africapitalism model.

For a regulatory institution like CBN, we need folks who are long on policy framework design and implementation. A Soludo type who can easily create policy and convert it into practicality. Not a lot of people come to mind.

This might sound funny but it really is not and its disturbing. It's past obsession and addiction and if there's any deeper substitute name for those two words,it should be called just that.

He is 17 and in his first year in the university. He spent these last 6 months ASUU strike break doing nothing asides sleeping, playing PS ,watching super sports and browsing on everything that has to do with just football.

He can spend the whole day in front of a screen playing football. He doesn't mind skipping breakfast or lunch just to punch pads all day. If he has to listen to news,its sports news. If he picks up a newspaper,its just straight to the sports section. Every other aspect of the news or every other page of the newspaper does not count to him.

I understand its okay to have hobbies the same way I understand one should be able to create a balance between that and lots of other things that make up life.
What makes it the more scary is that he has no knowledge of anything outside football and his field of study. Not even other sports,basic current affairs and even lots of basic general knowledge. You would be amazed at the simplest of questions he cannot answer for his age and level.
He has no views
or opinions about anything outside football nor can he contribute to or discuss any topic that's not football.

The other day I caught him mumbling the words "Is it a penalty?" in his SLEEP!!
...and before,you say talk to him, counsel him,give him other ideas of fun that would be beneficial,be sure that we(his parents inclusive) have done all that.
He doesn't have a personal laptop at the moment and the only reason he doesn't is everyone has fears that 90 percent of what he'll do with it is football.

How can one's life be that streamlined? Is it healthy?
