I think we are getting over ourselves here about Buhari..Why are we not asking no questions about this man. He ruled Nigeria for few years, claimed he got no money..bla bla and we took these all in. At this important moment in our history, we decided to pit our tent with over 70yrs old man with a "politically naive law professor" who is a heartbeat to a president. Tinubu might think he is a genius but he forgot he is dealing with a strong military man who overthrown a democratically elected president. Jonathan looks dull and doesn't fit to be a president but putting looks aside he has made some great stride especially through agriculture which I believe can improve the economy. His biggest fault is surrounding himself with corrupt basta**rds and out of control wife and he seems clueless on how to deal with them. Maybe if he gets another 4yrs he might consolidate on what he has done and if he doesn't we vote him out for another progressive youth. He has been a deputy, a governor, vice and a president. .pls point out any Nigerian with that experience but we still call him clueless. 20 years is not enough to transform Nigeria but let move a step after another not one step forward and 5 steps backward. Buhari is not going to do any miracle but one thing we r sure of is that, with Jonathan we are moving forward painfully but not backwards with open eyes. |
lalasticlala:I cant understand the logic behind this book at the time our country is at a crossroads. What he intends to achieve is beyond me. If violence erupts cause of this reckless behaviour of an "elder" stateman, he wont suffer the consequences. ..the losser will be millions of unemployed youths who will be caught in the middle. |
torkaka:what is the difference btw 66yrs. Na only him waka come? Give the youths chance. Haba!!!! |
simplemach:Who is going to create the job? Entrepreneurs create jobs. |
Seldom did anyone express strong concern for the well-being of the creatures. Europeans invariably only ask about the welfare of the animals but this question misses the point. Instead, perhaps, we could ask why these performers need to catch wild animals to make a living. Or why they are economically marginalised. Or why Nigeria, the world’s sixth largest exporter of oil, is in such a state of disarray. http://globalthots..com/2014/09/the-nomadic-hyena-handlers-of-nigeria.html?m=1[/quote]I disagree totally with the end of this report and the last paragraph. Why cant we look into the amazing skills required to handle and domesticate these animals. Skills passed down from generations. Am sure is not all about black magic. The western world has their circus and trust me not all animals in the circus r treated fairly. |
We heard about how good Jonathan is and how he is the only one who can save Nigeria and on the other side, we heard how Buhari is the Messiah. Now let us hear from the candidates. Demand for a debate. #Nigeriaelectiondebate2015 |
3cycle: Well lucky her...Good point. The attitude of men in our society must change. Until the society started treating women with respect rather than a piece of sex and a maid, the women will continue to see men as an object of extortion. I wish u the best ,young lady and I hope u follow ur dreams. |
Why are they not arrested and try in a court of law if your accusations are real? PDP is in power and I think they have all the resources to prosecute. Your counter claim against an existing post is lame and unnecessary. Am not APC but I dislike when people like you follow a party or candidate blindly. If there are crooks in PDP, we shld all speak in one voice and eradicate any corrupt worms. You don't come on a public forum and make unintelligent assertion. Why is tinubu still walking free if all these accusations are real. What you are suggesting here is that GEJ is not competent enough to deal with corruption. |
Putting sentiment apart, am warming to GEJ. This man is making a change. I know there are harden haters who wont see anything good in him but most independent minded people will see that we ve never had it so good. Free and fair elections, boast in the manufacturing industry, wider middle class and the wife is quiet lately. If we could all look a little closer then there might a good argument for four more years of GEJ. |
Idrismusty97: That is what i called show of strength. The same way the US fly their bomber over the disputed island near China and Japan. Despite China place a "No fly zone" they still stubbornly fly their jet over the Island. God don catch them nowand what right does china have to place a No fly zone in a disputed island? |
luvinhubby: When it`s obvious that Sanusi is an incompetent liar. Time has revealed that his `so called` bank reforms was a big sham. The fact that money is missing(regardless of how much) shows that GEJ is corrupt. It is a shame as a nation that we are willing to close our eyes to corruption because of tribalism, blind loyalty and lack of exposure to how true democratic system works. |
4reigningqueen: you were there, you didnt do anything and yet you uploaded the video on the net so that the teacher can be criticised while you enjoy like how many minutes of fame? Did you include the reason why the students were punished when uploading the video, did you include your personal opinion that all manner of punishment had been exhausted so the students deserved to be flogged? I hope you dont put the said teacher into trouble with this your video.WTF, the OP posted the video so we can all discuss it, God!! why r Nigerians so dumb? No need to go all nuclear on the OP. Make your own contribution or STF-UP. |
maxtamazin: I guess u have not been rap-ed b4? say that to victim of ra-pestop editing my post, you are polluting my english...lol |
Nadia_SA1: Aggg its just a harmless joke...I guess u have not been raped b4? say that to victim of rape |
Sagamite: Sick fcks! What have they done wrong ? |
Ugosample: Hello house, please i need your opinion on this issue, especially those settled there already. I'm an undergraduate student due to graduate SOON. ASUU strike has disorganised things but we have to keep moving... I've been shopping for schools in the UK, picked one, analysed the fees and i, with the support of my family are raising funds for a post graduate degree in finance. Things are going fine with respect to raising the funds. But to be honest, i intend settling in the Uk after my studies and starting a new life there. Please house. Is this advisable? What are the potential challenges i may face be it immigration, money or unemployment problems? Please i need your opinion. Thank you.My good friend, go to any other country expect UK. After you spent all your money to get post graduate, 1. you have zero chance of getting a job. 2. you have zero chance of getting visa(they have stopped giving post graduate visa to work). 3. please dont plan to stay on as illegal, you will regret it. My 2pence. |
geeez: What's wrong with these Igbos?Collective will of Lagosians? Are you serious? This collective will, does it include those who are hungry and graduate without employment roaming the street? Traditional institutions are constitutionally recognised? so that means they should have free cars? this traditional obas have food to eat, place to sleep, salary every month(doing nothing). Do they need more? This is large scale corruption and hope they all burn in hell for making the people starve well they go to bed belle full. |
nutty_hnic: 21st century reconnaissance airplanes can take a picture of you in your fathers house and know exactly if you are armed or not from more than 40,000 feet. What is ur point? There a thousands of drone application. The US govt dont need to spy on us, that is not necessary and again it could be a mapping drone, weather drone, surveillance drone. People thinks drone is all about spying, war....there are other application. Amazon is planning to use drone for parcel delivery, this could be for anything other than spying. |
spenca: You should know this was planted on the internet because they know people like you will go after it on the internet and there you found the poo they left off for you there,it's just a contingency planWow!!! Am not surprised how stupid and gullible Nigerian are but sometimes our naivety is a big concern to me. How many of us have seen a drone before? That picture is a drone, the story around it might be different but am 100% sure that is a drone. what do expect the police to say..the standard reply all over the world is to deny anything the government is doing and dont want the citizen to do know about it. There are different types of drone: surveillance and combat. This one is a surveillance drone and am sure this has been flying in our airspace for long time and am sure the govt. knw about it. |
PapaBrowne: I think the post of CBN would kind of belittle Elumelu. The guy is poised for much bigger. Boggling him down in regulatory bureaucracy would not cut it for Elumelu. The trending words today in global finance are impact investment, conscious capitalism and social entrepreneurship. Elumelu is at the forefront of these three with his Africapitalism model.I like when i read post like the above, not the usual nairaland mobile phone text english |
deejay_harry1: and another letter and sweet story is coming up soon..O" dear....i came late to the party. Dude@deejay_harry1, have u sort a date with the nice lady who wrote to u? if yes then good for u son. if not then i will come personally to drag ur sorry as_s to a date with her. |
MANGAM: Afta all dis foreign dudes ar let go off like dat wit all d eveidences. Foreign govts particularly d Arab world had to intervene in d release to almost all of dem. Guys imagine it was a Nigerian in a foreign country caught wit sucg cache of arms? Can someone interpret this guy rambling? Bad english is on the rise among Nigerians. |
Most Christians know Jesus wasn't born on the 25th, infact Jesus was never a christian, but there is nothing wrong in celebrating that day. One day in a yr where christian and Muslims have fun and share gifts. I see nothing wrong with that. |
Garri the 1st: Catholics worship Images of Mary, Jesus and other so-called saints. No difference between them and Pagans....Do u really need to comment? seriously, u dont have to comment to every single topic. Catholicism is beyond ur grasp, due us a favour and go to the romance section. |
Stupid, embarrassment, unbelievable e.t.c. I wish i could find more words to describe these two imbeciles who are making Nigeria a laughing stock and a sick man of Africa. I have had enough of these two clowns. GEJ is the president of the whole Nigeria and i am surprised he had the time to reply OBJ, why cant he prove the fool(obasanjo) wrong and buckle down to the job he was elected to do and let us Nigerian be the judge. I read the whole reply and couldn't stop laughing, a yr 6 student will do better than that. The letter should have address the whole nation and shldnt be more than a page...he can call it xmas letter to the nation but with a coded message to Obasanjo and the rest. Anyway, thanks to GEJ and the rest of the clowns, am a butt of joke among my friends from other nations and the whole letter is a big xmas joke at work. |
slimyem: How Do We Curtail His Football Madness?Football is an industry, it is at par with oil or even bigger. Encourage him if that is the field he want to be. |
Good business idea and a very good move......i hope she is serious about it. if u want investor, drop me a mail. |
blackmale500: she just gave birth...what has virtue and dignity got to do with that...Abi oo. I tire oo |
SUBMARINE: I don't no why some Yoruba elites have decided to join the Muslim north to oppose GEJ .But one thing is certain and that is, if GEJ is impeached, toppled or killed, Nigeria will cease to exist. So those of you calling for GEJ head pls keep your weapons ready for the war you guys are calling for. Most of you guys have never been to war, never seen the impact of war.....you came online, hiding behind ur laptop, phones and typing sh**t. Go to Central Africa and see the how people are been killed and ra-ped everyday. Go to Syria, Egypt then u know it is so easy to start war but VERY difficult to stop. |
yorke1: They should dare to impeach the President and lets see if there will be peace in the country!Ah ah.....what u gonna do about it? crawl from ur hut and start a war? this is democracy, Clinton was impeached and nothing happen, your GEJ is a small boy in international stage so impeaching him is no big deal. When is it treasonable offense to impeach a president? na wah for 9ja ooo |
For Christ sake!! When r we going to have a "right" in that forsaken country? |
GentleMimi: .......ha! Now i know i've been wasting my time all this while,my bad.You are not a christian, are u? I rest my case cos it doesn't worth it with u......''God hath given them unto a reprobate mind...''I knew its going to get to this point. I am a christian and am happy. Please let our mind be open to the possibility that pastors are human and they maybe wrong sometimes. Prayer is not going to help us. Please my fellow county men, let stop feeding this local 419ers parading as men of God. Please let us open our mind to the possibility that religion is diving us and dragging us down. We got to break the yoke of burden and get real. Prayer is not going to grow food, prayer is not going to develop the next generation of computers, and prayer is not going to heal all of us, we need good health system to make it happen. Am pleading to all the pastors on Nairaland, pls tell ur folks the truth, God will never come down and save us. |
. I am so happy to be alive in the 21st century! Watching the America empire, their influence crumbled would be a pleasurable event. They did this for the Soviet Union but as they say "Nemesis would surely catch up with you".
and resign.
