We are missing massive revenue generation ,economic and employment growth by ignoring Innoson motors. The government should put ethicity aside and support them. |

Don't be fooled.....the TSA removal is a good idea but very poorly timed...write it down...APC government will change thier mind few months down the line.
TSA is the engine oil of the economy, the immediate removal effect its what we are witnessing now. Unfortunately this is one of the various ideas not thought thru properly by this present government.
A gradual and sysmatic removal would have been better, a 30% reduction in the first phase and the remaining can be used as carrot and stick for the banks and mortgage company. |

Worrisome situation which clearly show the useless and incompetent Buhari and APC are not fit to rule Nigeria. What is the rational behind this kangaroo tribunal which only purpose and design is to forcefully take Rivers and Akwa Ibom from PDP and cause unnecessary chaos and political assination.
The stupid old fool doesn't love this country because if he does he will face the most important and urgent issue at hand...the Economy and continous free rein of terror by his cousins BH, since he doesn't have a clue what to do, he and his band of thugs are creating more distraction to keep gullible Nigerians glued to his "change" promise. What is the different between what happened in Lagos state election and the one in Rivers? Same mode of election, same fraud but different outcomes, don't let me start with Kogi state.
Write this down and take it to the bank: PDP will win both elections re run but there will be more political assassination and more division among Nigerians. |

ionsman: The former governor, who is now Senate Minority Leader, said the lawyer who dragged him to the EFCC submitted at least four different petitions, and that it would take a while for him to respond to each of the allegations.
You see, when you tell these kids on Nairaland something, they don't listen. You see them shouting, "arrest fashola, arrest ameachi, arrest fayemi" but the above bolded has at least taught you guys some sense.
The Efcc just can't arrest any tom, dick and harry without a petition. If you want Fashola probed, send a petition to Efcc with concrete facts.
Efcc wont arrest Fashola just because someone on nairaland is wailing. There are loads of petition with EFCC against Fashola and again the state executive has publicly made corruption claim against him...what else do EFCC needs before they interrogate him? Ameachi has been found guilty by commission of enquiry set up by river state government and he has not been invited by EFCC, a lawyer from River state has submitted detail allegations of corruption against him to both the presidency and EFCC, yet no arrest made, instead he been rewarded with a ministerial post. Check your facts before posting, this is not ordinary wailing. .this is wailing for better Nigeria, selective probing should stop. Probe everybody equally. |

obailala: Both cases of inflated contracts are condemnable, however may I remind you that Fashola did his without breaking the law; Fashola got an approval from the state assembly so what he did might have been morally wrong but it wasnt illegal.
On the other hand, Oduah did not get the budget approval from the NASS for those cars but she still went ahead and bought them at a price which was eventually even above the price she presented to the NASS in the first instance which was even rejected. In summary, Oduah made illegal extra-budgetary expenses.
Hopefully, you now see the difference between both cases?... If Nigeria was a sane country, she should be in prison today. Any inflated contract is illegal, Fashola was morally wrong and he has committed a crime. |

Volksfuhrer: Typical one-way analysis.
Get this, politics is pure mathematics. What makes you think the other APC rebels would not cave in after Saraki is bereft of power? Political survival is key here, and you think PDP (a party that just lost power) can guarantee them that? The APC rebels will eventually realign with the party, at least for now, to fight another day.
It's obvious that the APC rebels used PDP. And from what I can see on my tea leaves, they will dump PDP sooner than later! Am suprised you think your analysis is not one sided too. Do you think the PDP senators will let go easily, they will make it hard for APC government if only to give Buhari a bloody nose. How long will APC government continue thier fight when there are so many urgent and important issue than the tussle in the Senate. The only looser are Nigerians and the state of the economy. |

You have no character, no conviction and you are certainly untrustworthy
You cannot stand the heat of Facebook , you cannot compete in mainstream social media, you are making more enemies than friends.

realborn: Guess my opinion was subtle enough. It is weakness to throw a jab at someone who has not directly provoked such.
To the subject, i agree with you that public perception may cite "insensitivity" in the reinstatement. However, if you read beyond the headlines, you will notice that there was a statutory panel of enquiry saddled with the responsibility of probing the sack. They found the accused not guilty. By law, will it be apt for the accused to remain accursed after being found innocent? If truly he had a hand in the atrocities, he would someday pay accordingly.
Buhari obviously had no influence in this. If he made any efforts to interfere with the PSC's decision he would be termed a dictator by the opposition. You are right and I guess the jab is unnecessary but the president need to balance the mood of the nation with whatever decision he's going to make......even if the guy is found not guilty, this is not the time to make such a pardon...it seems Buhari is so insensitive to the feelings of other ethnicity. .for crying out loud, Nigeria is a diverse and very volatile country. I think there are more pressing and important issue at stake. It is acceptable practice all over the world for the president to quietly intervene in a sensitive issue like this one. |

Sometimes we have let go of emotions when the agents of the law have taken a decision adjudged to be the most suitable.
Biu was found worthy of being reinstated by the PSC panel, what can we say? If truly culpable, with time he would answer for his atrocities.
If PDP can retract on this subject, then we all should let go! I think sometimes you have to start using your brain...what's wrong with you people? When are going to tell Buhari the truth? This is insensitive and the wrong call at the wrong time. Not everything is about PDP.....I pray you people will wake up from your trance one day. |
