laprince: PLEASE, keep shut!
Is that the only problem besieging Nigeria? Poor leadership is our biggest national challenge.
Niger Delta has been supporting the country since independence, all they can show for it is, environmental degradation.
If I were the government, I would look elsewhere for resources to manage Nigeria.
When the oil becomes totally useless and possibly finished, then other parts of the Nation would tap and develop their resources which they have allowed to lay fallow. They may eventually want session when they are the new source of national likelihood.
In my own opinion, government should just look elsewhere for revenue, otherwise, dance to the harsh tune of the militants. ma broda ND is Nigeria..without ND no Nigeria.. If am joking let ND control there oil and zee wat will happen... |

Yesterday if not d wisdom of God maybe there could being similar thing in Owerri...imagine a Fulani drawing out matchet nebi die him dey find so...becos a gal say kai and his cows ran back...this is foolishness |

BlackTechnology: If true, the Hausa man is foolish to have resorted to violence in an already Fulani herdsmen terrorism hit region
What do an average Hausa Fulani take Igbos for.
You guys kill Igbos in the North and expect them to laugh with you guys in the East when you guys kill them.
Igbos right now are like angry lions that will devour aggressors that do not respect themselves Really foolish as usual...and yesterday Enyimba beat Kano pillars 2-1 in Kano and they manhandled there driver and some supporters so imagine d anger... |

* Many prominent actors in in previous govt as state governors who vehemently opposed efforts by FG to save excess crude, and insisted the money should be shared are now ministers in current govt and are pointing fingers accusing previous govt of not saving. Ans: I don't want to hold brief for anybody. But even if the states did not save, the FG should have saved its own portion
* Are we now saving excess funds? Ans: No we are not savings because you cannot save when you are borrowing. We are borrowing and struggling to pay salaries
* How much money has been recovered so far? Ans: I don't have that figure
* What is the current amount in excess crude account? Ans: I don't have that figure. You (Maupe) quoted it sometime ago. I think it is $2.1b or $2.2b, I am not sure of the amount.
* We have some people complaining of TSA, eg ASUU: We are working with universities and CBN to see if we can grant exemption to them
* They put a blame on govt on leakages. Is it something your ministry can fight? Ans: Absolutely. Last year, we spend N19b on roads and N64b on travels. We are trying to limit travels and the flight class of various govt officials.
* How are limiting leakages in govt? Ans: We are trying to introduce debit cards for routine govt expenditures. * Has this debit card kicked off? Ans: No we are trying to get proposals from 3 banks, then we shall go through learning process
* How are you aligned with CBN on fiscal and monetary policies. CBN should be doing monetary, and your ministry should be looking at fiscal. Ans: We are trying to align.
Are you in IMF programme? Ans: No we are not IMF programme.
* Do we have an economic Team? Ans: We have an economic team
* It will shock you that Nigerians do not know those who are members of the economic team. Ans: (Becomes upset) Don't you know the ministers? Don't you know me. VP Osibanjo, Min of State & budget, Min of Info, Head of DMO, etc are members
* What is the Economic blueprint? Ans: We are going to invest in infrastructure. We are going to diversify the economy. If we can feed ourselves, it will energise the economy. Lai Moh'd follow for economic team no wonder !!!! Naija in trouble!! |

Elose11: Baba was pleased enough with Omo'n'ba to swap his black leather seat with him. For those of us who finds it difficult to understand the superiority of the Oba of Benin over the Ooni of Ife, please meditate on the above. That an older Ooni vacated his exalted seat for a visiting Oba speaks volume. In africa tradition it is the young that stands up for his elder to sit. For the Oba to accept that abnormality means the Benin monarch is superior to the Ooni. well spoken no conflict. |
