Lol..I am old enough to be married but I am single..and going by the logic of this post then I am at an age where I should be feeling uncomfortable about it now..but I can tell you I do not in the slightest...That's my point..people are different and our priorities vary..there are plenty men who don't give a hoot about marriage..quite a few women too for that matter.
of course there are exceptions. I am sure the post mentioned that too. U just happen to be one of those group but don't be sure yet. you may be at the lower band of the age range. The feeling comes at different time in people. your may as well delay akin to late puberty.

Baba.. news flash..I can 'procreate' without being married. Not all men are monogamously oriented so not all men feel a burning desire for marriage no matter how old.. that is almost exclusively a woman thing.
We cannot debate this unless we know your age. It is an age thing not thoughts

Because of you na im I log in. For real, that guy nor get level hahahahaha! He just needs to feel he has control of things, not being pushed by circumstances into where he is heading. Once he has that in his head he will come around fully, and her attitude towards him is what will make that happen. If she is not aborting the pregnancy I think she should work with what she has if he is willing irregardless of his present confusion and bewilderment. That guy actually needs her to get his life together; him and his scattered financial state. Soon he will realize what an asset she is to him and let her be the treasurer of the relationship; that guy wey no sabi manage money. He also needs friends who will let him see this as a positive rather than a negative.
All these people shouting upadan that she should raise the baby on her own, the world is not a kind place to a single mother. First you have to live your life with people judging you everywhere you go while looking for a man who can love you with your child. Then you have to think about loving his own children too because he will most likely also be a single father. The work ahead is no small work.
Really...hahahaha
You sure made a valid statement too. We know wetin dey.

Seriously, this part got me feeling like crying. Please, don't be discouraged. Even though as some have said, you made mistakes, but this is easier said than done. If some of those had been in your shoes the probability that they would even perform worse than you did is high. There are some situations,in which we find ourselves sometimes, which are just beyond human control. My sincere and true advice is that pray to God to comfort your pain and sorrow. The man might change his ways towards you. Who knows even the lady she wanted to marry has no aorta of love for him. Who knows maybe the two of you, that is, the man and you are meant for each other.
Be your normal self and move on with your life. Pray that you deliver safely and don't ever try to quit that job! Please, don't. The reason is whether you quit or not, your colleagues have already known what transpired between the two of you. There's nothing new under the sun, don't brood too much on the matter. Continue with your life. Life is good. Remember, there will be some whose life are worse than a living dead, yet they never gave up for a second. You're better than what you think. Happiness is your portion. Bye.
which colleagues? hehehe. If she has the magic to x-ray her colleagues office lives, she will spit on fire on the atrocity they are committing under close door.

I think most women would try "one last time" . . . . No one would walk away just like that. But you are carrying his baby and your families are both involved. So don't think he will cast you away out rightly. Of course he will apologise, play nice for a while, get you to be his wife and then go back to treating you and your children like crap.

Bottom line is that this guy never loved you. You were a means too and end for him, but you made it too serious by getting pregnant. He needed you both financially and sexually. I can bet my last kobo that he would not have even considered you if you were broke too.

Guys do that all the time and a lot of us fall for it, so don't blame yourself.

But if you love yourself and want an atom of happiness in this life, please don't marry that man. No matter what he says!

Or you can go for option 2. . . Marry him just to give your child a name. And get ready to take whatever comes your way.
You don't know men. These are presumption. A man will go for any girl, just any girl whether poor or rich, beautiful or ugly if the lady show him interest. How many men can resist a woman? you know why? Getting woo by a woman doesn't happen to us everyday even compliment is hard to get from a lady. So we are beguiled anytime we hear such. Why do you think young girls fall quickly for scope? They are easy prey until they become use to boys' deception.

Another secret, many men develop cold finger whenever they are going into marriage. Some are even at the blink of calling it off while the bride goes on shopping spree oblivious of the fight going on on her fiance mind. Why? Men don't want to be taken. They keep assuming there is a better person out there. Men are chief crier over lost girlfriend and if given the chance, they soon realized the other girl is worse than who they with.

we are prisoner of our mind but time wear all of these and we soon grow to love our spouse. So this guy will come around if she knows how to neglect him but take care of his things and food. The guy nor get level. him wey never fit pay rent dey talk how he wan to marry anoda girl!

Shebi dem tie the guy. Don't mind them joor. You are just missing something. Many men don't like taking responsibility for pregnancy whether he is the toaster or toastee. He just got a let out. He would have still be the same guy without you telling him about ur love for him. Shebi he has been forming lovey dovey.

Don't worry, he will come around. Just move out of the house and stale the wedding first. Once he sees ur baby, he will come mending things. Sure, he will try to meet the other girl and she won't be too loyal again. He will realised he is crazy and he will come back. But don't marry like this. You will just open a long chapter of disrespected wife.

I have to pass the night at the University of Lagos in order to arrive embassy early at 6:30 am.I wake up as early as possible as 4:00am.I got to the embassy like 5:30 am.I walked down straight to the queue area at the waiting section of the USA embassy (u know as a first timer, I actually dont know the right thing to do)until I was stopped by armed soldier and asked me to move far away from the USA embassy.within the the next 10 to 15 minutes, I started seeing people in multiple folds and we were all gathered in one point.

Exactly 6am a soldier came outside and asked us to form two single straight lines.immediately after the security checked by the soldiers we were directed to the long shed where another two queues were formed for the non immigrants and the other the permanent immigrants. At this point their is a guy that came outside and informed us that for student visa we should put 5 documents like appointment confirmation, ds-160, sevis payment evidence, i-20 , gtbank CGI us embassy visa fee payment and passport photo inside our international passport and said those documents are not meant to be stapled. Those that have been told by the people working around the embassy to Staple their documents quickly separate the documents.

Another security checks including white paper sticker to the back of ur international passport, removing of belts, wrist watches . At last we enter the main hall where the documents need to be checked again before the finger print stuff. It was this place I knew I have made a mistake , I never knew the i-20 documents is actually a 3 pages because am conversant with the only first page where all the data containing school information, and course programs are displayed. The woman shouted on me and asked me to give her all the documents in my hand, I handled them to her and she later told me no problem that I can proceed for my finger print and warned me to always take it along even at the point of entry.

Immediately after this, my heart started beating fast that the consular officer might penalised me because of this, I asked the CGI controlling the queue may be I can actually go down and take the remaining documents but informed me if I should try it, I might not be able to come up again.

I was directed to Window 3 where visa was approved to a lady going to North Dakota, this lady was actually denied twice in Abuja that she had to changed to Lagos and also immediately before me I thinking a visiting visa was denied also.

Vo : good morning

Me: good morning (I actually want to greet him first but
he was fast enough to say good morning)

Vo: pass me ur passport and ur i-20

Me: I sharply pass it to him

Vo:where are u going to?

Me: southern Illinois university

Vo: typing

Vo:what course are you going for?

Me: master of science in Civil engineering.

Vo: what school did u finished from?

Me: university of Lagos

Vo: what course did u do at your master of science (only god know what he was thinking about because I was actually going for MSc not PhD)
Me: I quickly corrected him that am actually going for my MSC and that I did civil engineering at my Bsc level.

Vo :thanks for the correction.

Vo:when did you completed ur Bsc?

Me:2011

Vo: what have you been doing after that?

Me: I went for my compulsory national youth services corps in 2012 and I completed it in 2013.immediately after that I joined a civil engineering firm in lekki here in Lagos.

Vo: what position are u holding in the office?

Me: am a project engineer

Vo:Are u married or single?

Me: single

Vo:what project are u currently working on?

Me:GTB data centre located in obalende, ikoyi, Lagos.

Vo:what are your responsibilities on the project.

Me: I designed structural elements like slabs, beam, column, foundation, staircase. ,I detail structural elements like slabs, beams, column, foundation, staircase, I produced bar bending schedule, I normally visit site to ensure that the contractors or engineer on site follow the drawing and design I give to them. I attend site meeting with the client, the architect and other people and if there is a problem on the site I will report to my master in the office

Vo.am sorry, I can't not proceed further with your visa and immediately gave me a blue paper.

Me: I said thank you.

No documents were asked. I look so dejected because I can not figure out what actually went wrong but I always believe all the decisions are sometimes at the consular officer discretion and they have the final say.I wish I could appealed immediately but I read from the blue paper that I can't appealed.I have to trekked down to TBS thinking how many jeans, shoes and shirts I would have bought with 54400 naira (lol) but I decided not to give up.
Truth be told! you actually did well but the VO is probably not convinced of your intention. There are other factors that can make your communication awkward. From dodgy eye contact, body language, fluency, audibility to voice tone. The VOs are trained to read these and sometimes, they make wrong assumptions. I believe you need to reapply again and hopefully, you had clinched it.

However, I will like to point out you somewhat delayed the interview. When asked where are you going. It will be good to state your university, kind of degree and your course in one breathe instead of the short phrase. Again, you where explaining too much of your job responsibilities. You said Project Engineer yet you were stating the duties of design engineer. I project management job is well known worldwide. You didn't use any action words that do with project engineer. You could state my duty is to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. I am involved in the planning, monitoring, coordination and control of our projects so as to achieve the project objectives. Shebi you see?

Lastly, she may not want you to leave the project you have at hand. You could say that you just finish one project and you figure an international MSc will open better opportunities for you along your career line as you are currently working within a small-scale construction firm.

Be aware that human have short attention span of about 8 seconds. So use active words to make your point fast and not to rigmarole. This is true of any job interview and when toasting babes grin grin. Oya ginger your swagger and go get your visa soon

#AN_EMIRATI_POLICE_OFFICER_WAS_STABBED_YESTERDAY_SOME_NIGERIANS!

A Group of 6 Nigerians boys yesterday stabbed a CID many times to dead in DEIRA which is the heart of business in Dubai. This has resulted to the massive arrest of blacks despite their nationalities.

Equally, a ban was put on Nigeria. The United Arab Emirates will no longer issue visas to Nigerians anymore.

Those of you who have relatives in Dubai should be warned. The atmosphere is so hot most especially those without permits .

Nigerians have painted us black again . Why why why Nigeria? Not only you is going down for this wicked action but the black race in general.
I will be bringing to you more updates on this...
Don't blame Nigeria. Blame their stereotypical mindset. There are hundred of thousands of Nigeria in UAE. Many are contributing to the growth of economy. Every 12, there is a Judah. In this case , there was just one judah in thousands and then you turn around to blame a full country. They should cut me some slack. Are there no UAE indigene that have committed murder?
