CareerRe: Can A Pregnant Woman Be Denied Of Appointment Letter? by mayor007(m): 7:40pm On Dec 20, 2013
It depends on the kind of job.

If it is an overly physical job, you don't expect them to give you an appointment but if it is a job that requires analytical skills and you are the best candidate for the position; I see no reason why you should be denied.

But bear in mind that they may prefer to employ another candidate 'cause you are gonna go on maternity leave soon and we all know these businesses love to minimise losses.

All the best.

Music/RadioRe: Is Eminem Really The Rap God? by mayor007(m): 6:37pm On Dec 04, 2013
Rhyming
He is one of the best at crafting rhymes. He fits a large number of rhymes into each line with multisyllabic and internal rhymes. His ability to bend word pronunciations allows him to pack more rhymes in and be more expressive. Also, these rhymes that aren't quite perfect tend to be more interesting to hear.

Diversity of Flows
His flow varies a lot from song to song. Shake That, Soldier, Crazy in Love, Never Enough, The Way I Am, Stay Wide Awake, Business, Infinite, Tonite

Song Variety
Comedic: My Name Is, Just Lose It, We Made You, My Fault
Introspective: Going Through Changes, Talkin 2 Myself, Cleanin Out My Closet, Deja Vu, Beautiful, If I Had, Sing For the Moment
Sentimental: You're Never Over, Mockingbird, Hallie's Song
Energizing: Not Afraid, Lose Yourself, Til I Collapse, No Love
Story Telling: Stan, '97 Bonnie & Clyde, As The World Turns, Brain Damage

Respect of Peers
It can be difficult for a rapper to cater to the tastes of the rap community and the public at large. The public tends to respond more to the beat and the chorus, while other rappers are more impressed with the technical elements like rhyme schemes. It is tempting for rappers to neglect the technical elements since they make more money from the beats/chorus. As Jay-Z famously quipped, "I dumbed down for my audience and doubled my dollars." Em and Jay discuss this on their song Syllables. One of the impressive aspects of Eminem's music is that he manages to do both at once. Some of his most popular singles are also among his most impressive technically (cf. Lose Yourself).

Music/RadioRe: What Does Your Taste In Music Say About Your Intelligence? by mayor007(m): 6:48pm On Oct 23, 2013
Some of these researches no dey apply to Nigerians joor.

Even though rap is my favourite genre, I listen to others too ranging from Fuji, Pop, Country, Rock, Reggae and Soul. I have the discography of the top artistes in each genre on my laptop 'cause I believe there is always a song for every mood/mode.

I love poetry and I know some songs help with the way you decipher things whilst adding to your vocabulary; so everyone with their tastes. Whether it increases IQ is what I don't know.

My aunt in The States is a successful lady and her favourite artiste is Pasuma and she is one of the most intelligent people I know.

stpat1: Dear esteemed Partners, I am sincerely sorry about my prolong absence from the thread and my inability to to post a notice about the meeting that was put on hold. I was unavoidably absent as I had to attend to a very important issue and the lack of access to mobile network and the internet rendered me incommunicado.

I sent out messages concerning the new development to most people whose numbers I have on file. @Oduz, I'm surprised you didn't get it. I'm particularly sorry about that, pls accept my unreserved apology.

The meeting was actually held up to avoid calling for too many meetings at short notices. This is because the CAC registration had not been concluded and so I thought it would be convenient to all to encapsulate all issues to be discussed in a meeting after we get the result. I called Yemi today and he said certificate will be out in 3 weeks time. I will send his numbers to your emails as he may not want his number displayed here. You are free to contact him anytime to know the update on the CAC proceedings and other stuffs.

Partners, pls check your email as financial talks are not allowed on the forum.

Pls always feel free to make your suggestions and inquiries here.

Thanks
Patric

Tha Bleep is wrong with niggaz that just can't zip up during their service year? Losing your good eye over sex to some after-three village ladies, ain't this a bitch? People need to understand that actions or inactions have consequences (good or bad). The lady should be prosecuted too; I wonder the kind of training that one will be passing to her children. There is a reason they are husband-less.

I even thought the SUG has been emasculated by The School Authorities. Violence is never an option cause I even remembered during the "tombolo" (serial rapist) saga around '05 then, traffic along the major road was just grounded without any property destruction whilst protesting to The Soun. What most people don't realise is that, the fact that you are good to people doesn't mean they are gonna reciprocate. Just be good anyway. Just call her and schedule a face-to-face meeting and tell her all you just whined to us about.

deols: and when sister Ghaniyat and bro shakiru marry each other, they continue to be too decent with each other and wont joke and play with each other.

Islam isnt totally against having to do with the other people. it sets limits, fine but a little sister, salam alaykum, how are you doing etc arent too bad among Muslims of different gender.

the other should not start seeing the salam alykum as a marriage proposal either grin this is probably where the problem lies.
Mhen, you need to see how some of these sisters misconstrue the intention of any brother trying to "salamo". I had to confront one of them that I am not interested in her or any of her friends so they can start replying my "salamo".
IslamRe: It Is Sunnah To Laugh Play And Joke With Your Spouse by mayor007(m): 7:39pm On Mar 01, 2013
tbaba1234: grin grin

Well, there are men that are all happy and jovial with their inappropriately dressed secretaries but are all frowny at home... Both Brother Shakiru and sister maryam are wrong. It is an act of hypocrisy.

If we maintain the limits required of us, i.e having relevant conversations, not frivolous conversations or flirty conversations... Then it is fine. The problem is many people would have useless conversations with their non-muslim friends (from the opposite sex)... Conversations that they should not be having if they observed limits.

A person who is not observant of the limits will naturally find it easier to converse with a non-muslim...

On the other hand, there is another extreme, those who would not talk to any one from the opposite sex at all.

Islam is all about maintaining balance, cut out the frivolous stuff when having conversations with members of the opposite sex, muslim or non muslim. Be cordial but straight to the point. Some girls need to cut out the giggling.
Some of those girls in hijab are so hypocritical. Always complaining about how muslim brothers are so so boring but they are always quick to chat with any sweet-talking christian.

I remember, i was walking down the road in Lagos once and i saw a brother with a beard from afar... I said to my self: i am going to give this bro salams when i get close...

Oh boy, when i got close, the frown was so scary that i couldn't even do it. It was terrible...

Smiling is a sunnah, guys...
That thing dey always vex me ehn. Some of them got this condescending attitude like "you got no beards and your trouser is long".

This is why I still think capital punishment is required in some cases. Humans need to realise the (in)actions have consequences.
