It started early this year, one out of ten times when I try to start the car it refuses to start,but if I wait after lyk 15 minutes and try again, it will pick I spoke to my mechanic about it, am not convinced at his experience on it,i don't want a trial an error on the car. Can I get response from xperience hands please.

Have you tried running a scan on your car. That would narrow it down to what is going down there on your car. Call 08156087872 or 08165520837 tonget a scan and a fix

@mayor2013.....the CD is scratched all over . its was working till I took it to mech and when they removed bayyeryvhead and put back, it didn't load

Am writing from experience. That just got my attention. Removing the battery u necessarily damages it. That cd goes for btw 25k_30k

My man that disc is meant to last you for as long as its possible to. The problem is with your cd loader in your boot. Its either you fix it or have it replaced. The cd do not ordinary spoil.

The creader viii is good capable of doing a steering calibration although not for all cars. In addition to powertrain scan, Abs and airbag and can also reset the maintenance required light

Since my CEL came up few weeks ago, I think I'm having a better mpg. I will scan the car this weekend to know what's wrong.

Please, Is it possible to have a CEL and still have a better mpg or is my mind playing a fast one on me?

Both rides stand perfectly well for what you wish to use it for. But considering the Almighty German with its extravaganza in maintenance. I would settle for the lexus. Not that the GLK aint a good ride. But sourcing for parts might just be hard. Not to forget it uses a bosch parts which are highly expensive. Both rides are good though

Not a bad one. But you are limited to the rudiments of a scanner I, e scanning only your power train

I will be running the scan after all. I had hoped this could be obviated. Callipers serviced, lights not yet going off.

Serivicing your calipers would not make the ABs light go off. Another wasted money

the car doesn't start and even if it does, I am not ready to risk driving it cause of the over heating issue. but I will first use my ELM and let you know the result. How much should I budget for Head gasket work cause I am seriously on a budget

good day Good people of Nairaland Gurus please I need your help in trouble shooting this vehicle.

The said vehicle was over heating and as I slowed down to park, it went off, so I never even for once tried to start it, it was towed home. The tow guy said if it cools down, I should fill the radiator with water and maybe it will start if the gaskets hasn't blown. So in the evening I poured water and tried to start, the car cranks (as in tayun yun ) but the car won't start so I left it after two tries.

the car is a Nigerian used recently bought and am hoping to fix it what I need from the gurus now is
1. I know what a thermostat looks like but I don't know where it is normally fixed in the engine of a car besides Google search hasn't given me a pin point where to search for the almera own so if gurus can tell me so I can know whether his ones has or not and fix appropriately

2. I heard a wush sound like gas escaping once I tried to turn the key

3. there is no leak of water or engine oil noticed anywhere but i have not checked the dip stick reason is cause the hose that supplies engine the one closer to the radiator cap gave way

C4. No smoke noticed anywhere just that after I cranked it, I opened the radiator cap and the water gushed out like it was hot but not hot.

5. Immediately the ngine is started b4 this episode the fan starts working and the temp guage moves to the middle instantly means the car has en kazeemized but the engine I noticed is still in its solid rock state.

will scan the car as soon as I find the obdII port.

I bet to disagree with point number 3. You could have an internal or external leak. I see your case as that of a blown hhead gasket. Call 08156087872 or 08165520837 to run a free scan

please i have 1999 camry and i have been servicing it with total 10w40 for 6 years now and i want to change to recommended oil (5w30) though the engine short oil a little. More so, it is consuming fuel seriously. What should I do? If am to change the engine, how much is the cost of a good grade engine. thank you for your response.

Its too late to use 5w30. As for high fuel consumption am sure you have this "check" light on, you need to run a scan/ diagnosis on your car, multiautolab is running a free scan call 08165520837 or 08156087872

I checked dip stick , it was normal oil

First check your cooling system if its fine ranging from your fans, radiator I still wouldn't rule out a blown head gasket

Please help , I drove a 1997 Mitsubishi space wagon, manual transmission, today , I noticed the temperature guage going , over 75% , car tried to go off but moved it for like 30secs to the nearest filling station and popped the hood
I noticed oil leaks from middle part of engine dropping over the transmission to the ground ,
Little drops , smoke was coming from the hood because of d oil drop on the hot parts of the engine

Car had water in radiator , but I don't know if fan was running ,
Please what can cause this , is the engine damaged or just a blown gasket or what

Am afraid you have a blown head gasket now. Was your fan running when you driving? how lonh did you drive for before this happened?

Pls help urgently. My Lexus RX300 jeep gearbox was damaged & then replaced. I drove jeep yesterday 14/8/15 about 120km distance and once after traffic hold up at check point, it didn't respond to acceleration promptly. It also ceased on high motion (as if gear got stuck) momentarily. Two times. I called mechanic today and he said it's brain box. Pls help. Is it possible? Have you heard am about running a scan on your ECU to know what problem your car is facing? That's the first way outta your car problem. Your mechanic is talking tales by moonlight. I was advised to go for Lexus rx300 of that same year but the cash is the issue.

What are the issues with the pathfinder please and compared to the Lexus how bad is it?
