Car in question 1999 accord, l4, auto.
When idling expecially in traffic temperature rises high, but when the throttle is applied and engines runs from 2000 rpm upward temperature goes down to normal. Fans works with termostat. and runs well. Any clue with wats next to do?

Finally solved the problem,I changed fuel pump,filter, plugs, clean the carburetor and the throttle,check the coil and yet it still persisted and the told me to meet a good electrician.
I know one Yoruba guy who's a wizard in car electrical, he's the person that brought my nightmare to an end. I took the car to him and he test drive it and ask me to come today, he doesn't use scanner bt he went straight to the distributor and do some adjustment,that's all.

I changed my gear box on Saturday, a 2006 camry V4. though initially budgeted for 10 pin, was informed that my car had a 13 pin tranny and I paid for and got a 'belgium' one. with the change, I noted that the car jerks between 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 ie 2 jerks as one accelerates to 80km/hr.
following the installation, Yukon brand of ATF was used to fill d gear. took it back to the mechanics and was informed that the jerking will clear with time but I have my reservations. Just spent about 280k with 250k just on the gear box.

appreciate the fact that you guys have answered a lot of guys like me but really need answers so as to sort it out before the ;warranty' expires.

P.S: a colleague of mine said I should take it to a computer guy to reset factory default/ synchronise engine and gear box or smth like that.

he brought system to run d scan.....at first he cleared d error code nd d car start afta which it went off again ..d car refuses to communicate wit d ecu nd hd said brain box is damaged.....

Please house, kindly help me out with my Toyota Avalon 98 model.
I just observed this morning that when I am pressing the pedal (accelerating), the pointer on the tachometer keeps ascending till it gets to 7 and eventually the red zone while the speedometer reading does not exceed 40-50km/hr.
and I also noticed that the gears were not selecting as it works only with a single gear.
The reverse gear. neutral. d2 are all working
ng fine and the car is actually moving around, but with stress.
I consulted my mechanic but he said its the transmission gear that has gone completely bad. I don't seem to trust him anyway cos he is a confirmed Kazeem.
pls my people, what might be wrong with my car? do I really need to change the transmission?
