Please house somebody that has knowledge about gear system should help me. I had issues with the movement of my car, ie when you fire it will just sout without moving. Then i was told the fibre needs to be changed. Now, after changing the fibre, the car could load both front and back but will not move. they now said the problem is the brain box. My problem is I dnt want to buy the brain box and the problem will not be solved. Can somebody help me with suggestions.

This problem actually started after work was done on d engine and it was cleaned out, so I can say there's no sludge for now. If d cam sensor is bad, shouldn't it show as check engine and be seen on scanning?
As for competent hand, the only brain I trust around here is my own, that's why I'm seeking hello from more experienced and informed men like u.

Not every thing shows up on your scanner. If you have an high end scanner you can perform an actuator test using the scanner to test the solenoid. This is where professionalism comes into place. Do you know how to carry out a continuity test? If you do that would come a long way to help out and know exactly what is wrong. Your ecu might not be giving out the right signal for the solenoid to work. Also check for reference voltage from ecu. Do not carry out experiment with your car any experiment carried out is done @ your own peril

Symptoms of late engine oil change. An enemy of the vtec/ rocker arm actuator technology. Yes you have changed the vtec solenoid and it still persist. Inspect your emgine for sludge. Series of test needs to be carried out. Have you checked your cam sensor. Stop throwing money around parts.get a competent hand to have the problem solved. Cheers

This was actually removed from your car. This is your factory installed immobiliser control unit. I fink it has been by passed already by my good bro "kazeem" @ op to confirm lock all doors removing your key from thr ignition cylinder. Observe if your red security light flashes. Kazeem never wanted to go the faxtory way so he went the backyard way

Pls help, just did a scan on Toyota highlander 2002 V6 and got the codes P1155, P0330 and P0325. What could be wrong? Can faulty spark plugs cause all these? Noticed something like a misfire some days back.

P1155 - airfuel sensor bank 1 sensor 2. Could be its faulty. The heater element could be bad or a bad electrical connection, this sensors monitors air fuel mixture and the value is used to determine how much fuel to be used for combustion (14.7 : 1)

P0325- knock sensor circuit. Located at the rear of the cylinder block. Helps detect engine vibration and could retard timing btw 3degrees - 5 degrees

P0330- ignition/distributor engine speed circuit malfunction, fault could range from faulty speed reference sensor, faulty ignition coil. This can cause a misfire and can make your car stall

That was the only way we were able to have good access to the exhaust pot. It was so over loaded to the extent that the internal ventilated holes were completely blocked.

My Honda accord 97 suddenly started making a click sound whenever I try to start it.it eventually starts if I remove and fix the battery terminal a couple times..
Then just before it kicks to life, the security /immobilizer light comes..

My autoelect says I should prep for a new Kickstarter but I think it may be security related.. Any pointers for me....?

Guys, after suffering two engine replacement on two different SUVs I came to the conclusion that most Nigerian technicians or mechanics as we know them only REPLACE faulty engine parts or advise to by-pass electrical or sensors. Most car service centres will bring your cat back same way you took it there.

I want to train technicians including myself in anything automobile, cuz come to think of it today's cars are not what you give to a bukka trained technician or a half baked service centre mechanic.

Shelf life of a coventional battery is 3months after which should be subjected to optimum charging using a battery charger simply because your alternator cannot give your battery an optimum charge. But we don't do this in naija

As at last week a toyota camry 1998 came down to multiautolab with a case of stalling. First thing we did was to test drive the car. After test drivng problems we found out are listed below

1) car shuts down anytime it feels like mostly when driven for long

2) serious delayed shifting of the transmission

3) Rpm while on motion couldn't go beyond 100.

Troubleshooting and diagnosis carried out


1) got a PNP switch code which couldn't be the cause of the problem
2) from the sound of the engine I knew the exhaust system was blocked
3) checked fuel pressure
4) test the purge control valve
5) checked fuel filter
6) finally checked the exhaust system and it was finding it hard to breathe. So i loosed the upstream lamda sensor and drove for like 40mins , car shifted well and car never stalled.Finally got the culprit kazeem had done their wonders of loading the exhaust system with a so-called "muffler"

It wasn't scanned at all, my mechanic tested another bcm on my fx n D wipers, headlamps n side markers worked. U right about reprogramming D car after getting a new one cos my mechanic said the same thing. Just wanna know how much a new bcm would cost. Thanks.

Another money in abyssal did you bother running a scan on your car to know why you have a high fuel consumption. Well changing your engine does not guarantee that your car's fuel consumption would be minimal. What you need is a good scan, diagnosis and fault finding.
