For both cases you need to run a scan on your airbags. Am very sure your squib sensor (clock spring is faulty) this component controls the airbag, horn and what ever accessories you might have on your steering. Its a bit tricky fixing it but it can be fixed by a competent auto electrician. |
I would not be able to provide you with a solution if you don't give a proper details of your car. 1) year 2) engine size 3) cylinder numbers Answer this and we proceed from there |
Pls post the result of the diagnosis here. Your mechanic is jst moving your car from fry pan to fire. Didn't he get the right catalyst for your car? Why the " kazeem" construction. If he likes let him reshape countless of time. As far as your car is concerned he hasn't done anything. Until he does the right thing whatever fault code stored in your ecu as regards catalyst should permanently go |
What is wrong with your honda? Give a well defined problem |
billy187:Of course you can take it to a competent facility center where your batteries can be charged. Getting the charger is not cheap too. Gel type batteries should be available in Nigeria but am yet to see one |
We all know the truth behind this speed racing thing. Try taking a shot of pix while doing the mafia stunt and we all know the rest of the story. Am sure those cars above where suspended to achieve that (IMO) |

fm7070: can I bring my plane so I can compare both speed with this your newly converted plane ![]() |
@ OP. Do you know that the shelf life for a conventional battery is 4months after this it should be subjected to electrical charge. Nigerians are not aware of this. Now let me explain it. Your altenator cannot give your battery the optimum charge it requires. Basically because you have a voltage regulator inside your alternator which helps to regulate e.m.f . Its just advisable you subject a conventional type of battery to a more powerful charging system every 4 months so as to last more. If you need a battery that can last you for 20 years it is available but won't come cheap. Its called a "GEL" type battery. I would recommend the one made from BOSCH |
Run a comprehensive scan. That should be your first solution which would pave way for the final solution |
mitchyy:How did you manage to drive the car all the way from delta to lagos vis-a-viz the problem |
mitchyy:Go back to who ever ran the scan for you and tell him or her that you need the fault codes. A trial by errror won't be of any help |
mitchyy:n this souds more like a throttle issue, but lets not go with that. What where the fault codes that you were given. Post those fault codes here and we would take it up from there |
Your starter motor is bad. Since you jut bought this car. Power capacity from your battery was too low at a point now causing the starter motor to become excessively hot and each time this happens it kills your starter motor. First thing check your power source and make sure your battery is up to expected battery voltage (12.6v) |
erictoonice:Sorry a typo error |
Am sure you bought a honda accord 2000/2001 engine. So therefore a lot of conversion had been done. Would just advice you gt a competent person to fix it |
godownson:Note: 6 months bank statement |
I use the 07 don't know if they are same. Well get its exact one that fits. If forced in you might continue to buy over and over again till you get the exact type, breakage would be the order of the day. It gives the car more balance particularly when you turning your steering. so its very important |
Remember if you don't have your sway bar there and you want to fix it. Warn that mechanic to lock up your steering before attempting to remove it and fix it unless he would over turn your steering and cut off your clock spring (squib sensor) which controls what ever feature you have on your steering wheel. Trust me man you wouldn't want to go through the stress of changing the clock spring if broken because not every one knows how to fix that. A bit technical |
Is this car a 6 cylinder or 4. I would advice you start from the simplest of area I.e check your spark plug and the ignition coil on the 4thcylinder. If all fine proceed to the other solutions suggeted above |
hoodboy:There are professional scan tools that could help you out with diagnosis |

GAZZUZZ:Sure |
GAZZUZZ:Bro when dat guy called honda accord 2005 brand new compressor for me 120k ![]() |
Would be honest with you do a thorough check on That car before you get it. Run a diagnosis on it more in particular the transmission if auto. Enjoy |
blackfm:Thank God its working but still observe for now. I just met the guy twice but frm the way he spoke he knows the job. Come and thank me specially ![]() |
OKOLIEONYE:Are you the same person as the op your car not accelerating. Pls scan that car. Well from experiences with Mistibushi space wagon GDi when such happens the culprit is the APP (acceleration position pedal) but do not rule out the idea of scanning the car.if spark does not come out and injector noozles do not spray and all wirings attached to are ok then your ECU is a culprit here. Well since your car key has got a transponder chip then it needs to be reprogrammed after replacing the ECU |
blackfm:@ op I hope the car is now cooling well and how do you see the guy's service? |
doroboss:Am sure that you were much interested in challenging that but don't you think it was better you comprehend what was written rather than jumping too fast. Let me break it down. For you as simple as "ABC" the op has a weak pump already right. He continues to use his Ac resulting to more work force on the pump. That for sure would cause the car's problem since his fuel pump pressure of the car is low. If this was the reverse of the case he is more safe using his Ac without any hassle. Pointout in my response where i said loss in power due to low fuel pressure will kill a fuel pump faster ![]() |
