abujarealtor: Good day, everyone.
Yesterday was one of the most confusing days for me. For a moment, I almost ran mad.
Two weeks ago, I didn't even know what betting was like. Never done it, never experienced it. I hardly knew what the numbers meant.
Fast forward to yesterday, Tuesday, 28 July, I was risking a client's money on a game I thought was 'a sure bet.'
It was an eSports game I've been following for a while. I knew the players involved were very skilled and could score for fun. They did so in over 10 successive matches last night. So I thought it was worthwhile betting they'd score at least 2 goals.
I tried to do so in three attempts, but didn't have the mind to follow through, only for the matches to end up with at least 3 goals or more.
Informed by this, I thought it was safe to go on ahead and play this one time. I did. Unfortunately, both matches didn't end like I had predicted.
Over 800k was gone in a flash. I couldn't believe it. Seeing the signs, I attempted a cash out while the match was still live but couldn't, as the option wasn't available.
You may wonder why I had to risk such a huge sum.
It's simple; think I got greedy.
However, my excuse was that I needed money to offset some bills. Faced with so much responsibilities, I thought winning over a million naira would go a long way in helping me take care of stuff since business hasn't been coming in so much. The tile money I used was my first business since March, before the lockdown.
But, of course, my greed overshadowed any excuse I could offer.
To all the young men out there, please, regardless of how sure you are, do not stake more money than you're willing to lose. I've been there. The allure of making it big sooner can be overwhelming, but don't risk it.
If you must, stake little sums and make future bets from your winnings.

@I'm not sure whether this is the right place for this, but pls help push it to the front page so people can learn from my experience.
Trying to offset your bill and getting into more debts ;Dsee gbesee |
SIR0 post: There's a girl in my neighborhood who I can refer to as my home sister. We're so close. We share feelings, advice & keep nothing from one another, our love life inclusive.
She has had quite a number of relationships and got disappointed in all. I've had one relationship too.
There was a time I told her about my feelings towards her & she said she would have loved to accept my proposal but she couldn't handle double-dating. Well, I felt okay having let her know my feelings. I understood her decision & I don't think I was ready to be kept as a spare tyre, too. We moved on with our friendship.
We talked both clean and dirty stuff. She would even tell me anytime she felt Hot & needed to see her boyfriend for sex. In short, we are now having mixed feelings for one another. It could no longer be hidden on her face, too.
As a lady, she's expecting me to make the first advance. Making the move is not my problem but the thoughts of some dirty talks we've had together. The most worrying part was a time she got drunk with her friend at a birthday party & she mistakenly called one of her Ex-bfs (who she loved most) over & he took advantage of the moment to have his way with her again. Though she claimed she was not sure if something really happened between them but she noticed she had no pant on when she woke up in the morning, blablabla. To me, the guy is not that reliable as he is into drinking & smoking. She appears too innocent to be dating such a guy & I gave my advice. She might not really disclose all that transpired at the birthday party. I kept thinking the guy could have recorded the act, knowing well that she's stark drunk. What if our relationship leads to marriage & the guy begins threatening her with sex-tape or he leaks any sex tape involving her, how would I go about it? Aside her other sex life, this is most worrisome of all.
My thinking/guess may be wrong, yet I do not want to be caught unaware, to avoid stories that touch later. This is a dilemma for me. I truly love her but my happiness matters a lot.
Don't hesitate to advise a brother. Kindly overlook any grammatical blunders.
Thanks
This story get k leg |
Am really going to be straight here. I was able to save #200,000 through a side hustle (riding okada) early last year (jan-may) while awaiting service and up to another 100k i used for service.
I abandoned the money in a fixed deposit account and moved on for nysc... During my nysc, i found my way to the secretariat which gave me chance to do small hustle. I got a factory work which was paying me 25-35k (with loads of stress and i was settling them at the secretariate with 7k). With that, i was able to save all my allowee(#310,250) except the first that was paid in camp cash.
I traveled home during the early corona virus lock down as corpers were advised to go home or any safe place and my factory work was back sliding as materials were costly in the market. >>>
Currently am done with nysc and left my work before the lock down, critically thinking of what next to do with my life. Contemplating on staying back at ogun (sango otta) where i served or going back to abia (my state) and start up fishery or piggery, or poultry, or computer center, or dry cleaning. Just lost in thought. I know how hard i worked to gather this money, i starved myself and deprived myself enjoyment, and the shame [img][/img]of a graduate riding okada (as my dad was financially ok before he died 2k17). I just don't want to carry two legs put for river talk say na testing..
Please help![sub][/sub][sup][/sup]

1. don't go back at abia, remain in your current environ or rather find a way to go to Lagos 2.you can learn a trade though this days you need plenty money to run a successful business...but you can still start somewhere 3.you can as well invest in barbing salon and dry cleaning services Good luck with any choice you make |

odun360: Nigeria international John Mikel Obi and his Middlesbrough teammates will be thanking their stars that their flight back to base after their FA Cup match against Newport on Tuesday night had to be called off.
The squad and backroom staff were due to fly back to Teesside but engine failure in their aircraft stopped them leaving the ground.
They had to call back the club coach which was already heading North. They eventually got back to Rockliffe at 7am on Wednesday.
Before arriving Newport for the match, the club’s flight was delayed for two hours due to bad weather.
The players were however given Wednesday off to recover and gather their thoughts ahead of their league match against Leeds United in the English Championship.
Club manager, Tony Pulis now wants his players to put the Newport debacle behind them and build on the hugely impressive 3-2 victory at West Brom last time out in the Championship.
Mikel who was not listed for the FA Cup tie against Newport which they lost is expected back in Boro’s starting line-up against Leeds on Saturday, in a potentially explosive game that could have a big bearing on their promotion.
