A man looking for attention by all means and doing that by pulling down people who built value over the years.

Or where will you be in our anatomy class? Pharmacology, pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics , what do you know about etiopathogenesis of diseases, have you ever heard of such before? What will be your rating in such classes? These are people who would have defeated you from the scratch if you were their age mate and they will defeat you till tomorrow.

Ask yourself this question, how many lifetimes will you need to be able to employ 35,000 people in your organization? That is what Bishop has done successfully and beyond that. How many lifetimes will you need to be able to run two universities, world class, Covenant university is to.. is among top 500 universities in the world. It's number 4 in Africa and number 1 in Nigeria.

Second advise, since you are so interested in pastoring and in pastors, get yourself a church started from the scratch, gather a hundred people physically and then gather them up to a thousand and then gather them up to ten thousand and then when you are through with that, pray for their sick, deliver their oppressed, help their widows and orphans and then run it successfully and then you have an advice to give to anybody who is in ministry otherwise close your mouth, close your mouth, close your irresponsible mouth forever and never to be heard.

And for everyone who follow gullibly irresponsible personalities such as this, valueless entities, WORTHLESS entities, adding nothing to society, offering nothing, just don't waste your life, go face your your front and do what you need to do to make a mark in your generation. What you attack, you can't attract, what you hate, you can't have, what you lack, you don't like you must lack. Don't waste your life following a vehicle going nowhere. Don't waste your life listening to a man who is speaking on something he has no experience about.. don't waste your life. A caution to you, the curse of the Lord.. when the young men spoke against Elijah, Elisha and said bald headed man of God, bald headed man of God, the curse of the Lord overran them. Fani-Kayode’s Attack on Daily Trust Reporter: Our Stand

The management of Media Trust Limited, publishers of Daily Trust and other titles, would like to condemn the reprehensible actions of Femi Fani-Kayode, who in a video clip now gone viral, verbally assaulted – repeatedly – our reporter, Eyo Charles in the course of doing his job. The encounter occurred in Calabar, Cross River State, in the morning of Thursday 20, August 2020 at a hotel, during a roundtable with invited journalists.

During the roundtable, Charles asked Fani-Kayode who was bankrolling his recent trips around Nigeria, to which the ex-minister responded with a raised voice, insults, and eventually a threat to inflict bodily harm on our reporter. The barrage continued for some minutes, while bewildered journalists, including our reporter, looked on.

The video clip, also released on one of the ex-minister’s social media accounts, was conveniently edited to exclude the question asked by Charles, totally devoid of mischief, simply sought clarification and information, like good journalism should. Said editing paved the way for a social media lynch mob to rain expletives on our reporter, labelling him as ‘rude’. This could not be further away from the truth, and we stand by Charles, and commend him for his calmness during the ordeal.

Daily Trust reporters are responsible professionals, who uphold the tenets of journalism, as well as best practices.

That Fani-Kayode attacks a reporter doing his job, is an indication of the chilling disregard he has towards the media, and its work in investigating and reporting on issues. As always, we stand in solidarity with our reporters, and will continue to fight for the rights of all journalists. After all, journalism is part of the bedrock of democracy; therefore practitioners must not be intimidated or threatened as they carry out their work.

We urge the Nigeria Police to take note, that if anything happens to Charles, Daily Trust will hold Fani-Kayode responsible, especially due to the intensity of the verbal threats he issued during the shocking incident.

The actions of Fani-Kayode are not only reprehensible, but also constitute a setback to press freedom, in a most dire form. This kind of assault raises major concerns over the safety of journalists in Nigeria.

Daily Trust is a completely independent media organisation that does not pander to the whims of any individual or group, no matter how powerful or well-placed in society. We will continue to serve Nigerians – and indeed the world – with quality, reliable reportage, no matter whose ox is gored.

I do not believe for a second that there is an ethnic motivation to the killing (I will stand corrected).

My personal belief is that the young soldier might be having combat induced Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) which pushed him to lash out at his officer with whom he might be having some personal grievance (s).

Now, just take for a second, if the roles were reversed and the Officer was Igbo from the South East who was assassinated by six shots to his back by a Private of Northern Origin.

Just imagine that for a second.

They would have set the whole social media space on fire by now;

They will be crowling out of their bigotry holes to weave every conspiracy theory known to man.

But since it's "an Igbo man that killed a 'Hausa man' ", No problem.

"Hausa life don't matter".

I remember arguing with one of them, on this social Media platform, who was trying to blame Northerners in the death of the Late Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile;

They actually wanted to pin Tolulope's death on conspiracy by Northerners despite the fact that all indications point to the fact that this was a freak accident involving her classmates from secondary school - all of them from her tribe!

So just imagine if a 'Northerner' had shot an Igbo Officer six times from the back and killed him.

Just imagine.

But, honestly, I will give the young killer the benefit of the doubt because of his service in the war front;

I would demand he be treated with kindness, be psychologically evaluated to be sure that there is no PSTD element involved;

However, if it be proven that he is mentally sound and had premeditated this Murder, then he should be given summary Field Court Martial trial, and Shot if found guilty!

Some people claim they are still best of friends with a certain ‘ex’ and that explains why some men would rather go to an ‘ex’ girlfriend for advice and even confiding (what they would never dream of sharing with their ‘better half’) in such ‘ex.’ There are also women who run to their ‘ex’ at the drop of a hat for assistance or when they need to talk to someone. The argument is that such ’ex’ understands them better than any other person and has therefore remained an important fixture in their lives, making me ask, is anybody really comfortable with a spouse’s ‘ex’ in the picture-deep down? Whatever happens to those we call friends-if one needs to ‘talk to somebody’ has to suddenly revolve around an ‘ex’? Isn’t it easier for the ‘ex’ (with whom the centre could not hold) to ‘understand’ because he/she isn’t in your spouse’s shoes?
I am not even going to look at this issue from the angle of ‘Okafor’s law’ but what I do know is this…if at any stage in your supposed marital life, you still find yourself running to an ‘ex’ when you need to talk to somebody, something is fundamentally wrong in that marriage! No ‘ex’ should be closer than your spouse to you. The moment you chose to move on with your ‘new life,’ every ‘ex’ should cease to play an important role in your life because these are the people that belong to your past. Again, if your ‘ex’ was that wonderful, why did you not end up (in matrimony) with him/her?
I think we should watch our penchant for wanting to eat our cake and have it. If a certain ‘ex’ has to be elevated in your life, above your ‘better half,’ there is an urgent need to renegotiate the basis of that union. It’s ‘ok’ to relate with an ‘ex’ as cordially as you can but lines should be drawn in how you carry on with such ‘closeness’ simply because you have someone else in your life (now), who should naturally be closer to you than any and every ‘ex’ put together. Don’t insult your partner’s sensibilities through careless conducts.
If you must relate with an ‘ex,’ please carry your spouse along. Show some dignity. Let me say this again, if at any point in your marital life, you suddenly find yourself running to an ‘ex’ whenever you need a shoulder to cry on, I put it to you that something is wrong with the setting you call a marriage. Your partner (first and foremost), friends or family should be those you run to at such ‘periods.’ An ‘ex’ should not even be in the equation because you both have supposedly moved on.
Your partner should make you forget most things about any ‘ex.’ I mean whatever wonderful attributes such ‘ex’ possesses should pale into insignificance compared to what you are currently enjoying. If this is not what obtains with your reality, it won’t be out of order to question your judgement.
The moment you have chosen to bring someone else into your life, please spare them the episode of your ‘ex’ except you are regretting the ‘setting’ that you ended up with!

Following Cerullo's Mission at Earl's Court London in 1992, a documentary on the BBC, Newsround, reported that a lady called Audrey Reynolds stopped taking medication for epilepsy (although she was never instructed or advised to do so by the ministry)[citation needed] after she believed herself to have been healed during Cerullo's rally. She subsequently died following a seizure in her bath. The story was also reported in a Christian newspaper.[22][23] Another report from this crusade claimed that Cerullo pronounced a four-year-old cancer sufferer to be free from the disease, yet she died from it just two months later.[24][25]

The 1992 London Mission was also attended by a John Culley and his wife Rita and children from Biggin Hill.[26] Culley stated that he had been healed from a condition that had him wheelchair-bound at a Morris Cerullo Mission eleven years previously, also in London.[27] Following this, Culley began practicing lengthy abstinences, limiting his daily nutritional intake to a glass of orange juice and a small morsel of unleavened bread, prepared according to a formula in the Hebrew Bible.[28] Culley recorded his experiences in a diary which he demonstrated by the laying on of hands and by manifestations of the Holy Spirit.[29] In 2002, Culley moved to Cornwall with his wife.[30]

Cerullo has claimed that giving money to send evangelistic booklets to Jewish people would result in family members becoming Christians. Chris Wright, principal of All Nations Christian College, denounced Cerullo's methods as "spiritually perverted and pastorally disastrous". The Chief Rabbi Jonathan Sacks was quoted as being "deeply distressed by missionary tactics specifically targeted against Jews".[31]

Subsequently, Cerullo was challenged on British television to produce his three best examples of claimed miraculous healing for scrutiny by a panel of doctors. Their final report was "there is no evidence that anything has occurred that is outside the realm of normal clinical experience".[32]

In 1996 the Evangelical Alliance considered, but decided against, ejecting Cerullo after the Advertising Standards Authority upheld four complaints against him relating to his claims of being able to offer miraculous healing to the disabled.[33] Cerullo later resigned from the alliance.[34] Following Cerullo's resignation, Britain's then-largest church, Kensington Temple, also left the Alliance in protest.[35][36]

In 1999, the Christian Channel, a UK cable channel, broadcast an advertisement for one of Cerullo's European rallies which claimed that "Satanic hordes" had "occupied the principal palaces of power." As a result, the channel was fined £20,000 for breaching advertising codes requiring political impartiality, for denigrating other religious beliefs, for potentially frightening viewers, and for making statements prejudicial of "respect for human dignity".[37]

1. Fellow Nigerians

2. I will start by commending you all for the resilience and patriotism that you have shown in our collective fight against the biggest health challenge of our generation.

3. As at yesterday, 26th April 2020, some three million confirmed cases of COVID nineteen have been recorded globally with about nine hundred thousand recoveries. Unfortunately, some two hundred thousand people have also diedpassed away as a result of this pandemic.

4. The health systems and economies of many nations continue to struggle as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

5. Nigeria continues to adopt and adapt to these new global realities on a daily basis. This evening, I will present the facts as they are and explain our plans for the coming month knowing fullyfully aware that some key variables and assumptions may change in the coming days or weeks.

6. Exactly two weeks ago, there were three hundred and twenty three confirmed cases in 20 States and the Federal Capital Territory.

7. As at this morning, Nigeria has recorded one thousand two hundred and seventy-three cases across 32 States and the FCT. Unfortunately, these casesthis includes 40 deathsfatalities.

8. I will useam using this opportunity to express our deepest condolences to the families of all Nigerians that have lost their lives loved ones as a result of the COVID nineteen Pandemic. This is our collective loss and we share in your grief.

9. Initial models predicted that Nigeria will record an estimated two thousand confirmed cases in the first month after the index case.

10. This means that despite the drastic increase in the number of confirmed cases recorded in the past two weeks, the measures we have put in place thus far have yielded positive outcomes against the projections.

11. The proportion of cases imported from other countries has reduced to only 19% of new cases, showing that our border closures yielded positive results. . These are mostly fellow Nigerians returning through our land borders. We will continue to enforce land border arrival protocols as part of the containment strategy.

12. Today, the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has accredited 15 laboratories across the country with an aggregate capacity to undertake 2,500 tests per day across the country.

13. Based on your feedback, Lagos the State Government and the FCT with support from NCDC is hasve established several sample collection centers in Lagos and the FCT. They are also reviewing their laboratory testing strategy to further increase the number of tests they can perform including the accreditation of selected private laboratories that meet the accreditation criteria.

14. Several new fully equipped treatment and isolation centres have been operationalised across the country thereby increasing bed capacity to about three thousand. At this point, I will commend the State Governors for the activation of State-level Emergency Operation Centres, establishment of new treatment centres and the delivery of aggressive risk communication strategies.

15. Over ten thousand healthcare workers have been trained. For their protection, additional personal protective equipment have been distributed to all the states. Although we have experienced logistical challenges, we remain committed to establish a solid supply chain process to ensure these heroic professionals are can work safely and are properly equipped.

16. In keeping with our Government’s promise to improve the welfare of healthcare workers, we have signed a memorandum of understanding on the provision of hazard allowances and other incentives with key health sector professional associations. We have also procured insurance cover for five thousand frontline health workers. At this point, I must commend the insurance sector for their support in achieving this within a short period of time.

17. Nigeria has also continued to receive support from the international community, multilateral agencies, the private sector and public-spirited individuals. This support has ensured that critical lifesaving equipment and materials, which have become scarce globally, are available for Nigeria through original equipment manufacturers and government-to-government processes.

18. The distribution and expansion of palliatives which I directed in my earlier broadcast is still on going in a transparent manner. I am mindful of the seeming frustration being faced by expectant citizens. I urge all potential beneficiaries to exercise patience as we continue to fine tune our logistical and distribution processes working with the State Governments.

18.19. I have directed the Central Bank of Nigeria and other financial institutions to make further plans and provisions for financial stimulus packages for small and medium scale enterprises. We recognise the critical role that they play in Nigeria’s economy.

19.20. Our Security Agencies continue to rise to the challenge posed by this unusual situation. While we feel deeply concerned about isolated security incidents involving hoodlums and miscreants, I want to assure all Nigerians that your safety and security remains our primary concern especially in these exceedingly difficult and uncertain times. As we focus on protecting lives and properties, we will not tolerate any human rights abuses by our security agencies. The few reported incidences are regrettableregrettable, and I want to assure you that the culprits will be brought to justice.

20. I urge all Nigerians to continue to cooperate and show understanding whenever they encounter security agents. Furthermore, for their protection, I have instructed the personnel of the security agencies be provided with the necessary personal protective equipment for their own protection.

21.22. As we continue to streamline our response in the epicenters of Lagos and the FCT, I remain am concerned about the unfortunate developments in Kano in recent days. Although an in-depth investigation is still ongoing, we have decided to deploy additional Federal Government human, material and technical resources to strengthen and support the State Government’s efforts. We will commence implementation immediately.

22.23. In Kano, and indeed many of other States that are recording new cases, preliminary findings show that such cases are mostly from interstate travel and emerging community transmission.

23.24. Drawing from these, I implore all Nigerians to continue to adhere strictly to the advisories published by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control. These include rRegular hand washing, social physical distancing, wearing of face masks/coverings in public, avoidance of non-essential movement and travels and avoidance of large gatherings remain paramount.

24.25. Fellow Nigerians, for the past four weeks, most parts of our country have been under either Federal Government or State Government lockdowns. As I mentioned earlier, these steps were necessary and overall, have contributed to slowing down the spread of COVID nineteen in Nigeria.

25.26. However, such lock downs have also coame at a very heavy economic cost. Many of our citizens have lost their means of livelihoods. Many businesses have also shut down. No country can afford the full impact of a sustained lockdown while awaiting the development of vaccines or cures.

26.27. In my last address, I mentioned the Federal Government will develop strategies and policies that will protect lives while preserving livelihoods.

27.28. In these two weeks, the Federal and State Governments have jointly and collaboratively worked hard on thishow to balance the need to protect health while also preserving livelihoods, leveraging global best practice while keeping in mind our peculiar circumstances.

28.29. We looked atassessed how our factories, markets, traders and transporters can continue to function while at the same time respecting adhering to the NCDC guidelines on hygiene and social distancing.

29.30. We assessed how our children can continue to learn without compromising their health.

30.31. We reviewed how our farmers can safely plant and harvest in this rainy season to ensure our food security is not compromised. Furthermore, we also discussed how to safely transport food items from rural production areas to industrial processing zones and ultimately, to the key consumption centers.

31.32. Our goal was to develop implementable policies that will ensure our economy continues to function with while still maintaining our aggressive response to the COVID nineteen pandemic. These same difficult decisions are being faced by leaders around the world.

32.33. Based on the above and in line with the recommendations of the Presidential Task Force on COVID nineteen, the various Federal Government committees that have reviewed socio-economic matters and the Nigeria Governors Forum, I have approved for a phased and gradual easing of lockdown measures in FCT, Lagos and Ogun States effective from Saturday, 2nd May, 2020 at 9am.

33.34. However, this will be followed strictly with aggressive reinforcement of testing and contact tracing measures while allowing the restoration of some economic and business activities in certain sectors.

34.35. The highlights of the new nationwide measures are as follows;
a. Selected businesses and offices can open from 9am to 6pm;
b. There will be an overnight curfew from 8pm to 6am. This means all movements are will be prohibited during this period except essential services;
c. There will be a ban on non-essential inter-state passenger travels until further notice;
d. There will be Ppartial and controlled interstate movement of goods and services will be allowed to allowfor the movement of goods and services from producers to consumers; and
e. We will strictly ensure the mandatory use of face masks or coverings in public in addition to maintaining physical distancing and personal hygiene. Furthermore, the restrictions of on social and religious gathers shall remain in place. State Governments, corporate organisations and philanthropists are encouraged to support the production of cloth masks for citizens.

35.36. For the avoidance of doubt, the lockdown in the FCT, Lagos & Ogun States shall subsist remain in place until these new ones come into effect on Saturday, 2nd May 2020 at 9am.

36.37. The Presidential Task Force shall provide sector specific details and timing guidelines to allow for preparations by Governments, businesses and institutions.
37. The above are guidelines. State Governors may choose to amend adapt and expand based on their unique circumstances provided they maintain alignment with the guidelines issued aboveon public health and hygiene.

38.39. These revised guidelines do will not apply for to Kano State. The total lockdown recently announced by the State Government shall remain enforced be enforced for the full duration. The Federal Government shall deploy all the necessary human, material and technical resources to support the State in controlling and containing the pandemic.

39.40. I wish to once again commend the frontline workers across the country who, on a daily basis, risk everything to ensure we win this fight. For those who got infected in the line of duty, be rest assured that Government will do all it takes to support you and your families during this exceedingly difficult period. I will also take this opportunity to assure you all that your safety, wellbeing and welfare remains paramount to our Government.

40.41. I will also recognize recognise the support we have received from our traditional rulers, the Christian Association of Nigeria, the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs and other prominent religious and community leaders. Your cooperation and support has significantly contributed to the successes we have recorded to date. I will urge you all to please continue to create awareness on the seriousness of coronavirus among your worshippers and communities while appealing that they strictly comply with public health advisories.

41.42. I will also thank the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and the Presidential Task Force for all their hard work to date. Through this collaboration, I remain confident that success is achievable.

Bishop Oyedepo was at NO TIME Denied US Entry Visa

We wish to put it on record and categorically submit that this piece of information is NOT TRUE. At no time was the Bishop denied visa, nor did he create a scene at the US consulate in Lagos, as purported by some mainstream and online newspapers.

The Bishop renewed his visa, last year, without any initial denial or drama, or scene. The Bishop was NOT at the Embassy or Consulate yesterday or even anytime this year. Bishop has been in Canaanland all this week. The last time he applied for visa, which was last year, he was issued without delay.

We have been in touch with the US Embassy and they are as surprised as we are about this FAKE NEWS, which some media houses decided to spread.

We encourage the Nigerian media to always tow the line of due diligence before rushing to press and try to at least reach the church from time to time, whenever items try to pass through the rumour mill.
