montelik: afrodoc:There should be a law banning Giggs from being part of the wall. The issue of Evra will not be resolved by video analysis. I think he is having a deep seated problem. When he was giving Sturidge acres of space and showing him into the byline despite the fact that he had someone covering the inside (where he should have shepherded him to ), i was screaming and wondering what was going on in his head. seconds later, it was a goal. What was he thinking when he ignored Kuyt for that goal last week? His lapses in concentration cannot be cured by video analysis. |
I have all the time in the world for De Gea. Like i said earlier, he will cost us a few points in the short term but save a truck load in the long term. Being a united keeper is not just about shot stopping ability and reflexes (ask Tim Howard). it is more about commanding the area, distribution and concentration. commanding the area and concentration are two areas De Gea has to improve on massively. His distribution is already a class apart. To leave Madrid and come to England at the age of 20 tells a lot about his character and desire. If he makes gradual improvements in the aforementioned areas, i will sleep well, whether he costs us a few points here and there in the short term. He needs to come out of his shell, command his area and be more vocal.that talk of 'it is not his style' will not work. the cross he flapped miserably with that horrible punch earlier in the game and the mystery of what he was attempting to do with his leg in the run up to that 1st goal are proof that he still has some way to go. playing behind an unstable back four has not done him much good, anyway.Come summer, he needs to sort out his eyes and bulk up in the gym.he is way too light weight at present. Most importantly, Fergie needs to bite the bullet and just stick by him. Rotating keepers is not a viable option and dropping him after every media hyped error will do him no good.He will only improve by being on the pitch. Stick him in and just let him get on with it. Funny enough, i was not surprised by that free kick save nor the Cahill header save either. That is how highly i rate the lad. Lindergard is nothing spectacular and if Fergie decides to bin De Gea (which i consider a silly option), it must not be for Lindergard who is no better at present and would obviously be worse in the future. He is just more vocal. |
Rivers State Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, has said his administration has constructed roads that were of high quality standard in the state. Amaechi stated this Sunday, at St. John’s Anglican Church, Rumueme, Port Harcourt, during the child dedication service of Master Godstime Samuel Ndubuisi, son of Venerable Jolly Ndubuisi and his wife, Gold. He said his administration had spent funds to ensure that the roads in the state were durable and could stand the test of time. Some of the completed roads in the Port Harcourt area include Elekahia/Rumuomasi road, Ikwerre road, Oginigba/Trans-Amadi road, Rumuola road and Old Aba road. “We have done well with roads. There is now an improvement with the roads,”Amaechi said. On Okporo Road, Amaechi said he had instructed the contractor handling the road project to expand and dualise the road. “I was on Okporo road and I wasn’t satisfied with the width of the road, so I have asked the contractor to expand the road further and dualise it. It will cost us more money but we will expand the road. We want to do the roads in the state once and for all,” he added. Amaechi further assured the people that the ongoing work on Ada George road, a key road in Port Harcourt, would be completed before the rainy season. On Rumuolumeni and Eliparanwo roads, Amaechi said the contract for those two roads would be awarded once the due process on it was completed. He disclosed that the contract for Ogbogoro road has been awarded and work would soon commence on the road. Amaechi at the child dedication service urged Ven. Jolly Ndubuisi and his wife Gold to bring up their child in a manner pleasing to God. Venerable Jolly Ndubuisi, who is the Vicar and Rector of St. John's Anglican, Rumueme had earlier expressed gratitude to God for blessing them with a child several years after marriage. In his sermon, Most Rev. I. C. O. Katey, Archbishop, Niger Delta Province and Bishop, Diocese of the Niger of the Anglican communion, said God has power to do all things, and commended Rev. Ndubuisi and his wife for remaining committed and faithful to God in their period of marital challenge. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/amaechi-we-ve-provided-quality-roads-in-rivers/108684/ |
Dec 18th and she has been jailed. if it was in Nigeria, the case would not have been heard yet and if heard, the defence lawyers would have gotten a 3 months adjournment on the basis that her name was not properly spelt in the court documents or the judge would have gone on vacation. |
coogar:give it a rest, lad. Fergie might be going insane but he is not yet as insane as this Morrison kid. A boy that most of the coaches in the reserves are not even on talking terms with again. A boy that all the coaches (not just fergie) came to a joint conclusion that he is just not worth the stress. He should go and win the World's best player elsewhere. It just might not be worth it. A |
ritchboy:i hear Berba has pre contract agreement with Leverkusen against the summer. So he is just going through the motions till then. |
Ferguson may be forced to call up his third-choice goalkeeper, Ben Amos, for the Stoke game because Anders Lindegaard has been injured in training and David de Gea is struggling to be fit. |
I wonder why this fool would not just drop dead. The Federal government should have a program whereby these touts are slowly poisoned and killed off or sterilized so they cant reproduce other urchin after their likeness.
![]() |

after 4 years. our judicial system needs overhauling. |
pato405:guy, take it easy. no need for the insults. you made a complaint and a solution was suggested and you turned down the solution. that sounds a bit defeatist to me. crux of the matter is, have you tried using the parental control to avoid the problem you mentioned? we are not discussing other parents.we are discussing YOU. |
i think Anderson will play instead of Park. any news on Young? |
no rooney, no nani, no Rio, n o jones. |
StarBoard:did i miss the answer to this JAMB question? we are still waiting. |
Myne White:got it today. |
let me go and call Dayo. it is not good talking behind a man's back. |
i was discussing a similarly related issue on a different blog (not nigerian site). the fundamental problem is simple. there is an inherent laziness pervading the tv industry at present. they will rather invest millions in tasteless and tacky reality programs than invest in educative and entertaining dramas and other types of programs. the local ones would rather show endless reels of Nigerian music videos than invest or commission proper local programs for kids to watch during daytime. when they are not showing silly music videos, they are showing those cheesy mexican and indian soaps. |
StarBoard:this question requires solemn meditation. |
Dis Guy:the reason why it will not be as useful to the banked is that it will be difficult to move huge sums through the distribution channel. sums that will be attractive to the banked. you and i will be interested in transactions of 50k and above. which agent will be carrying that kind of amount around? i doubt mobile money is aimed at decongesting banking halls. banking halls need to be simplified in design plus structure and multiplied. all these sky scrappers being build as bank branches are defeatist. |
you can prove anything with stats. that has been proven time and time again on this site. I will not edit anything. Gary Cahill is over rated and fergie would have been stupid to buy him with the current crop of kids we have. He is not markedly better than the lot (if at all better) and he would disrupt the education of the lads. |
StarBoard:what has long sightedness go to do with it? loads of players play with contact lenses. besides he is having surgery in the summer. the boy will cost a few points here and there but will save a whole lot in the future. there is nothing spectacular in Lindergard. DDG is very good.once he bulks up, he will be fine. however, he will not be fine while seating on the bench.he has to adapt to a new league from the pitch not bench.so the earlier fergie plays him the better. |
bandiejay:i am not convinced with your response. GT needs to do some soul searching. Are you trying to say that the bigger they grow, the bigger the crime will become? |
RuuDie:you will regret that comment. |
why is GTB most prone to scams of this nature? |
StarBoard:Nani is a better player but Ashley has better delivery from the wings. |
Gary Cahill is over rated. |
AjanleKoko:Those Stanford boys clean out the VCs wella. That Paga thing no jell at all. |
there are reasons why mobile money has been a success in Kenya and Philippines but a failure or less of a success in countries with similar demographics. the regulatory issue is a major one. Not allowing mobile operators to go it alone is akin to duplicating an already efficient value chain. another major one is the literacy level. the literacy level in Kenya is around 75 percent. while Nigeria is one of the 9 most illiterate countries n the world. If mobile money is targeted at the unbanked (like it is in Philippines and Kenya), the bulk of who are illiterate, then the model must be holistically appraised. It must be simplified and appeal to my illiterate village folks. They must not make the mistake they made with micro finance banks. A simple model designed for the poor was brought to Nigeria and they attempted to compete with commercial banks in building, official cars and even staff remuneration. |
Concept:are you suspecting senility? |
Effiko:i hope it is not another virus a la Fletcher. |
coogar:i don't think so. he needs to see how Vidic's recovery goes and know if he needs to bring in a leader at the back especially if Rio leaves in the summer (and i think he will considering the wages he is on,he can't be a part time player). Gary Cahill will just disrupt the education of Smalling and Jones and he is not a great deal better than evans who is years his junior. if vidic returns and gains form, where will cahill play? |
chamotex:I think he will go to MLS in the summer. so that he can be closer to Piers Morgan, his twitter enemy. coogar:Personally, i will swap Jones with Evans at present. Jones positional sense is very naive for a central defender. If rio or Nemanja are available then fine but with Smalling he is a disaster in the middle. mbulela: |
