Paul Scholes was the most notable absentee from training on Wednesday ahead of the tie. His fellow midfielder Tom Cleverley did take part though, suggesting a potential comeback after his recent ankle injury. Chris Smalling seemed to have recovered from the head wound he sustained on England duty. There was no sign of Michael Owen, and Antonio Valencia trained on his own as he continues his recovery from a hamstring strain. The youngster Paul Pogba was training with the reserves who were not involved in Tuesday's second-string match against West Brom, further fuelling reports he has agreed to join Juventus in the summer. |
there will be other players. |
dayokanu:i know, they are no where as good as Jerome Boateng. ![]() |
coogar:and he is rarely in the mood. not worth the hype. |

They should have allowed him do another term[/quote]the man just loves the sound of his own voice. he talks from both sides of his mouth and tailors his speech to fit his audience. you can't pin him down to any ideology or view. |
tchituz:welcome |
ULSHERLAN:Moderators should be deleting comments like this. Do you realise it is a mixtape? |
a specific life i meant. whatever happened to the modify button? |
ifyalways:I am not in sync with the complete pic here but please whatever is being done, do not buy any equipment for any public hospital in Nigeria. It has been proven to be a waste of private funds. Find a specific live and touch. |
If it was MTN,they would send you a text asking where the party is holding? If it was Glo, they would promise you 100 million cars (or something silly). Airtel would probably call you on that automated recorded call thingy telling you that their people will get in touch with your people to discuss the birthday party arrangements. |
Is that Chime's wife? |
official age. |
coogar:both sides will drop points where you least expect it. United being united will make life difficult for themselves. |
Sir Alex Ferguson is in the market for a centre-back and wants to bring Milan's centre-back Thiago Silva to Old Trafford and is ready to offer the Serie A side £25m for their Brazilian international after reading very favourable reports from the surveillance team he's had monitoring Silva as he goes about his business at San Siro. |
the moment AVB banished Alex and Anelka from training with the 1st team i knew Chelsea were doomed. his man management is childish and his tactical nous leaves so much to be desired. it is one thing saying that the old guard are not playing well, it is another thing when the team plays with no descernible pattern and devoid of any coherent plan with fundamental draw backs. what exactly is the hype around AVB all about? |
any news on the Pogba drama? i heard he was very upset at being left out of the Ajax game. |
Owen is back in training. According to SAF, this is good news. |
Emperoh:they will kick in the one year option next month for Berba, to make sure he does not go for free in the summer. |
AjanleKoko:let me know when it suits you, maybe this weekend? |
AjanleKoko:Amen o! |
A very bright light has been dimmed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. |
pro01:infact i think he must have offended Satan him/her self. |
can we outsource our judicial system to the British? they seem to produce results and it is not prone to silly adjournments and crazy court orders (I am looking at you, Odili). |
Honorary Special Adviser - Special duties. |
Despite being at United for less than two years, Hernandez has already secured joint second spot alongside long-serving Ryan Giggs amongst the club's top-scoring substitutes. The Mexican netted his 10th goal off the bench earlier this month as the Red Devils secured that thrilling draw at Chelsea. Only Solskjaer has more, although as 28 of the Norwegian's 126 United goals came as a substitute, Hernandez clearly has some way to go. Sir Alex Ferguson always felt Solskjaer's main strength was the intense way Solskjaer watched a match from the bench, which ensured he was fully prepared to take advantage of any defensive frailty when he came on. Hernandez would appear to share the same trait, although he does not know why he has been so successful. "I don't have the answer to what makes me effective as a substitute," he said. "In football you can always come up with a reason for anything, perhaps it is nothing more than having a little bit of luck. "I just know if I play one minute, or 10, or 90, I try to play the same way. My mind is always to do my best and help my team." There is certainly a benefit to Hernandez's straightforward approach. Rather than get bogged down analysing parts of the game he cannot control, the 23-year-old concentrates on the fundamentals. "The only thing I can change is my attitude. I can do everything that I want with that," he said. "There are parts of the game I cannot do anything about. But I can ensure my attitude." Hernandez must be one of the most positive players imaginable. Rarely does he reflect on any event without referring back to the team. His goal against Ajax in last week's Europa League last-32 clash means he has now scored on his last three appearances, taking his overall tally to nine, level with Danny Welbeck and Dimitar Berbatov. Not bad considering the amount of time he has been missing through injury. Yet Ferguson can go about his work secure in the knowledge no-one will be knocking on his door demanding to know why Hernandez still cannot guarantee himself a starting spot. "I don't care if I am on the bench," he said. "Last year I was on the bench for a long time. I still got into the team at the end of the season. "Every player in every team wants to play as many minutes as possible. It is the gaffer who has the answers." Having shrugged off the injuries that caused him to endure such a stuttering start to his second season with United, it is perhaps no surprise Hernandez is starting to find the form that allowed him to make such an awesome impact during his debut campaign. Yet, even in assessing what looks like a seamless transition to life in England, the forward adopts a level-headed approach. "I don't think there is ever going to be a season where I can say everything is really good, or that it is really bad and I am suffering a lot. "My first year was difficult. I had changed all my life to come here. "The most important thing is to keep the balance. "Sometimes football is going to give you good things. Sometimes it won't. It is part of the game. "I just want to enjoy it because I am living a dream to play for Manchester United." |
Aliyu Babangida is an attention seeking LovePeddler. I wonder why any one takes him serious. |
Is Theo Walcott actually angling for 85k a week for a new contract? Is that signalling the end of the world as we know it? |
This man is a character. you solve the controversy over relocation by opening 3 new universities. I am sure when he has a quarrel with his wife, he marries 3 new ones instead of settling the rift. The process with which leaders are chosen in our polity needs to be reassessed. Something is fundamentally wrong with it. |
Abia state is in bondage. This Orji fellow seems to be on assignment from hell. There is no evidence of governance in that state. Absolutely none. In addition, the corruption is at epic level. A state where local govts have deductions from their allocations for the gov, his wife and son. After the deductions, local govt chairmen have very little left for any project after paying salaries. The less said about this clown called Orji the better for sane minds. If you think you have seen sycophancy, until you go to Abia, you have seen nothing. |
