martinosi:are you a comedian? |
hollandis:ya kidding right? GEJ would rather resign than not appoint that woman. All this petitions are in vain. how do you think the election campaign was funded? why do you think Femi Otedola hangs around GEJ like a fly? that woman is the most powerful minister in GEJ cabinet and unless a car runs over her tomorrow (God forbid),she will retain her portfolio not just return as a minister. |
petaling:I wonder how you can stoop so low to spread such unverified rumours and malicious lies. name the source and provide the evidence. If Olojede was collecting millions from interested parties NEXT would not be the dying entity that it is financially. I have nothing against the woman but there is nothing spectacular sheis doing. there are lots of vested interests in the oil industry and considering the amount of money at stake,i am surprised that assasinations are not a norm in the top echelon of that industry. Nobody is fighting her good works (their is nothing spectacular she is doing),they are simply fighting to protect her interest the way she is protecting hers. |
^^^^ stop acting naive. they don't need to clear anything. as long as those cash n carry senatora ss reps are there,it will just be 'bow and go'. |
I am unable to go through all the posts. However, i have a related question that i have found unanswered in the light of this issue being discussed. Why are moderate muslims quiet in the face of the percieved disgrace that the extremists and violent lot are bringing to their faith? Why have moderate muslims never taken to the streets to protest against Alqaeda and boko haram? why are the moderates whose lives reflect the peace that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) preaches making no attempts to ostracize these terrorists? Their silence is deafening and worrying for people like myself who can count several fine muslims as friends. |
How did Amaechi end up with Tonye Cole? |
oladayo042:lol |
My problem is the filth in laogs. although it has more to do with the people than the govt. Lagos is so dirty that it is almost unbelievable. |

By Sunday Okobi 22 Jun 2011 The wife of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, H.I.D Awolowo, Yeye Oodua, will on Thursday, assemble all the Yoruba people in the country and in Diaspora at her residence, Efunyewa Hall, Ikenne in Ogun State to address issues of high importance affecting the Yoruba nation. The meeting, according to the proposed forum publicity Secretary, Senator Anthony Adefuye, in a statement, is expected to be attended by the entire Yorubas irrespective of the political, religious or Professional leaning aimed at fostering the unity and formidable re-positioning of the Yoruba race, for her continued peaceful co-existence and progress among other tribes in the Nation. The Forum will further provide an inevitable conducive avenue for all concerned to x-ray their differences, as well as formulate such strategies in promoting the ideals to enhance the dignity of the entire Yoruba race, especially in the comity of States of the Federation, geared towards a betterment and unity of the nation. “It is not an exaggeration to say that Yorubas are today at the crossroads within the Nigerian Nation with the Southwest zone, totally marginalized into irrelevance with the polity and troubling voices against our cherished legacies, finding increasing boldness from strange quarters, there is no more compelling time for patriotic Yoruba sons and daughters to stoutly and genuinely address the problems than now. “As such, there is no better platform to arrest this ugly situation than this maiden edition of Yoruba Unity Forum, an avenue for all the Yorubas, across political and religious divides, hence all Yorubas are cordially invited to this meeting. “The convener is expected to use the event to reiterate on the absolute need for all to bury their hatchet and genuinely work for the common good of the race and the indivisible nation called Nigeria ,” the statement stated. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/h-i-d-awolowo-to-convene-first-yoruba-unity-confab-thursday/93661/ |

mbulela:it is the same problem in the federal sector. Perhaps, some sobering statistics would awaken us to the enormity of the problem this country is faced with: In a recent BusinessDay news report, Ahmed Al-Gazali, chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission, was quoted him as saying that the federal government currently maintains over 400 parastatals that are a drain on public funds. Al-Gazali went on to warn that most of them are either over-bloated or not properly staffed, while there is a duplication of mandates and functions in several others. Most worrisome was his verdict on these parastatals. He said they are cesspit of corruption, resulting in the over-bloating of contracts, loss of value for money, and vandalism of public property. A glance at the distribution of the parastatals, he revealed, indicated that the Federal Ministry of Health has 77; the Ministry of Science and Technology has 40; Education - 41; Agriculture - 44; and Power and Steel - 27 agencies, among many others. someone needs to grow balls and revolutionize our civil service.it is overdue for an overhaul. |
when they are stealing money left, right centre,it is difficult for the masses to believe that there is no money. when house of assembly members are chnging every evidence of their social and economic status within 100 days of being in office,it is difficult to accept that their is no money. even of there is no money, how will there be money when our civil service is bloated and grossly over staffed? we need leaders with balls who will address civil service in this country and pay the workers a living wage. |
texazzpete:hell will first freeze over. why do they need to grow balls when the status quo favours them. the change we need can only be externally enforced. it will never be internally generated. these clowns are set in their ways and profit from it. |
Jarus:you see, i am in very good company. I roll in Otta circles. |

as a footballing nation, there is nothing wrong with English football. the problem is with the fans expectation. England is distinctively slightly below average both in their players ability and the quality of their coaching. The fans just will not appreciate this truth, therein lies the problem. The FA are so high up their backside that nothing can be rescued. When you see Stuart Pearce as the u21 manager,it tells you everything that is wrong with the system. a man who would not recognise technique and tactic if it struck him like a hurricane on the road. all he talks of are heart, passion and good engines. |
good to see that there are barbarians outside Nigeria. these are animals. |
you forgot the picture of thatguy that was smooching his girl in front of the police while others were running away. |
when is Wande coal releasing an album? dat is all i am interested in knowing. it seems the boy is on the wrong lane of the record company? |
Those were the days, Emmanuel Ebiede - vision way before his time and was able to pick a pass in tight spaces way before Guardiola's Barca. Dude was a wasted talent. Kennedy Okogba - The most complete Nigerian footballer i ever saw.Could do it all and more.If he could read and write at the lowest level,Europe would have bowed at his feet. Sunday Oliseh - Everything fans expect of Michael Carrick and so much more. His vision with the ball was world class. The player Xabi Alonso aspires to be. Finidi George - with limited ball skill (the least talented of his four brothers who played football) he was arguably the best crosser of the ball in european leagues in the last 15 years. Rashidi Yekini - most natural goalscorer to come out of Nigeria in the last 30 years. |
Ibime:gbam!! |
Daniel Levy will squeeze every pound out of this bidding war. that man is the most difficult chairman in the premiership.he has balls of steel. |
Modric going,going,going, |
