beating a woman is unforgivable but beating Rihanna is almost forgivable and even applaudable. |
Pharoh:my exact sentiments |
makajibbz:them go gree hear word? If na HHWA now them go say them get concert booking for that day. what is the difference? both awards are rigged and wack. we no dey respect ourselves that is why outsiders do not. only to form for fellow Nigerians, why not form for these boys over there too? After all, you would not make it big there, if you like lie on the floor for them (especially not while singing DANGER and E NO EASY). |
the guy should go and get a life or try to enjoy the money he has already made. No one man deserves to be beaten but i could almost bend the rule if Rihanna is the one beaten. Everything about her is beatable. She deserves to be flogged. |
saliuafo:try and spam with some intelligence. this senseless spamming of threads is moronic. |

From Ahamefula Ogbu in Port Harcourt, 06.28.2010 A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has dismissed the suit filed by some indigenes of the state seeking to stop the demolition of shanty structures around the waterfront areas. Justice G.K. Olotu who presided over the case held that the court had no jurisdiction to hear the matter, which had lingered in the court for some time now.Governor Rotimi Amaechi had come up with a policy to demolish shanty settlements around Port Harcourt Waterfront. These settlements, according to Amaechi, deface the city and have become dens for criminals and criminal activities in the state. His position tallies with the recommendations of security agencies and urban renewal experts to the state government. The Amaechi administration, however, agreed to pay compensation, at the full commercial value of the structures to be demolished, to the owners. The governor explained that this was like buying the structures from the owners at the prevailing market value and this was implemented at Njemanze Waterfront, one of the first to be demolished. But on July 30, 2009, Mr. Tari J. Sekibo, Odo-Abaji XV11 had led 151 people of Okrika extraction to file a suit against Amaechi, the Attorney-General of the state Ken Chikere and the Police, Army, Navy and Air Force, seeking to stop the demolition. In the suit, Sekibo and the 151 other applicants among other reliefs asked the court to declare as unlawful, null and unconstitutional the Amaechi administration’s policy to demolish the waterfront settlements on the ground that it is in breach of their right to satisfactory and favourable environment for development. The applicants also sought from the courts orders of perpetual injunctions stopping the governor or his successors or officers, servants, agents, privies, from continuing with the demolition which they claim is their ancestral home. But in a preliminary objection filed on October 5, 2009, the governor and Chikere who are the 1st and 2nd respondents in the case challenged the jurisdiction of the court to entertain the suit under the Fundamental Rights (Enforcement Procedure) Rules and other kindred rules. They also “challenged the competence of the entire proceedings,” stating that “it was incompetently constituted and incurably defective.” They averred that the Federal High Court lacks jurisdiction to determine issues relating to land determinable under or by the Land Use Act and other numerous property legislations. Upholding the preliminary objection, Justice Olotu ruled that the Federal High Court lacked the jurisdiction to entertain the suit, whether cloaked as a land dispute in guise of or as a bona fide claim for the enforcement of their threatened human rights. “I decline further jurisdiction in this matter. Conse-quently, I order a transfer of the remainder of the issues and sub-issues contended by the parties… to the Rivers State High Court,” the judge said. |
all we are talking about is his party? No one is talking about he man's ineptitude and cluelessness in the face of mounting garbage, bad roads and break down of law and order in that state. Abia has become a den of robbers and kidnappers under his watch and he has the effontery to talk about 2nd term ![]() The man ought to be tied to a stake and shot repeatedly. |

all these talk about 442 and 433 are premature. The problem is not about tactics nor is it about the ability of the manager. The english players lack the basic technique needed to excel at this level. hoofing it upfield and trying hollywood passes masked with 'blood and thunder' passion can only lead you so far. combining this basic lack of technique with the overhype of the media and huge expectation from a misled public and you have a combustible fire wating to explode. It has exploded and the 3 lions have no where to hide. Compare the dross the english team has served in the last two major tournaments (including this) with what 'small' nations have done, then you begin to understand that there is something fundamentally wrong. Can you remember any spell the english team had in this world cup where they caressed the ball and created something repeatedly over a period of time? Even Korea, South Africa and CIV have been better. Look at south American teams treating the ball as a friend and using it progressively. Go and watch NZ matches, constructive use of the ball devoid of massive over sized egos. irrespective of who coaches the english team, these boys are unable to hack it. the FA need to think long term and sort out the technical aspect of the game at the grass roots and the media need try and get a life. |
Ibime:only 85? if no be my clueless mode for round 1, i should have been home and dry now. In the first round, i did not even know how to make substitution sef. round 1 wrecked my game plan. |
motunrayo2:keep praying for that your landlady. |
ruffrider:all over the world, people used to strike up conversations in buses and trains on their way to and from work. These days every one is fiddling with their BB and ipods. every man has become an island and the only community they know is a virtual one. i see people clinging to smartfones in public spaces as if they were born with it. the excuses of working conditions and demands of modern life are just that, excuses. |
Thierry Henry admitted he felt "isolated" in the French World Cup squad and spoke of a "sickness" at the heart of the camp. The squad flew back from South Africa yesterday following a dismal performance where they mustered a solitary point from three games and gained notoriety for a training ground boycott in protest at the decision by the French Football Federation (FFF) to send home Nicolas Anelka following a bust-up with the coach, Raymond Domenech. "I could have been the older brother but I wasn't any more," Henry told Canal+. "I felt isolated, it doesn't matter who by. They didn't talk to me as they used to. Before they talked to me more. But when you don't have credibility in a group any more it becomes difficult. "I felt isolated and at a certain point your pride takes a hit." Henry believes the Anelka controversy was not the reason behind France's exit but rather the rot had already set in. However, the Barcelona striker claims the squad were always united. "I don't know whether the Anelka matter was the triggering factor," said Henry. "There was certainly a sickness. But I don't think you can talk of clans. I can tell you that I never saw any fights, I didn't see anyone put any pressure on whoever. "Decisions were group ones. The main reason for this fiasco is that we didn't play well. Unfortunately we entered into debates, invented stories, "But we shouldn't look the other way. We weren't good enough. When a team wins, everything can happen; when there are defeats, doubt comes in and stories start getting invented." The France captain, Patrice Evra, is preparing to give evidence to an inquiry opened by the French government into Les Bleus' disastrous World Cup campaign. "An investigation will be opened by the ministry and all the players will be heard," he told TF1. "Each one of us will say what they experienced and will say the truth. Everyone will give some information from each angle and all sides." Following France's exit Evra promised to spill all the details of their troubled time in South Africa. However, he says it is still not the time for his potentially explosive revelations. "It's not the time to stoke up the pain of all the French people," he continued. "It's not today that you have to attack whoever it may be. No one is clear-headed enough to say what really happened because the scar is still open and we are all hurting at the present time. "We are all upset and beaten but we have to lift our heads up and look to the future." |
when will we ever have a decent discussion on this forum devoid of insults?? I am getting fed up with this childish tendencies. tomorrow, we will complain about the thieving thugs in National assembly. |
tpiah:i know this joint. had a folk of mine who was working in lagos for a short term, had no where to stay and did not need a long term accommodation, stay here. the amenities are basic but clean. the service was very courteous. it is a place to stay, if you have (or don't want to stay with) relatives and intend spending like a week or two on the island for business (not pleasure o). however, the location is a problem. it is a 2 0r 3 star motel. Does not pretend to be anything else but meets and even slightly exceeds expectation. This opinion is based on my folk's stay 18 months ago. |
Ujujoan:you dey vex o! |
privacy is a lost cause. Apart from this site, i do not use any social site and try not to give out any personal details whatsoever. i open new email accounts for every inquiry that needs my email details (some of them, i can't even remember the user name and passwords), as often as i can get away with it. Inspite of that, i know that i am not secured. As long as you use the web, you can't be safe. While i do not do FB, my photos are all over there. No matter how hard you try, you are doomed. All you can do is to remain paranoid and try and limit the damage by being suspicious of the web when iot comes to giving out private information. |

AjanleKoko:According to Jahborne, now who be the maga?? |
it is an issue of mentality and passion. most of the players you mentioned have a love for the game. ours had a passion as kids but grew up to see it as a source of income. So the whole plan is to make money in the game, investt hat money and retire to eat their bounty. another point is that the coaching thing is not for the faint hearted.you need to love the game, eat it and sleep it for you to survive the career. Apprenticeship does nopt guarantee success.yet loads of ex-players go that route. ours want to go into managerial career with no apprenticeship. i really wish Kanu will go into management, the right way. If he ever planed for it and listened to the coaches he played under, he should have a chance. He played under some excellent managers. Men who may not have been the best but had sterling qualities that he should have learnt a lot from. see the list; Van Gaal, Hodgson, Redknaap, Wenger, Luigi Simoni etc. AjanleKoko: |
every idiot that can barely spell his name wants to go into football administration. Kanu might not be in it for money as he has lots of it (although e no dey belle full Nigerians) but he is a very good reader of the game, a talent that is not easy to teach.I wish he would just shun the limelight and go do relevant badges in Europe and spend a year or two learning the ropes in mid sized european team as an assistant or even reserve team coach (he would have the opportunities) and return to take a position at home. He could even start from the local league with one of its big clubs. His undoubted knowledge of the game must not be wasted and he should try and do things the right way (not the Nigerian way). On the issue of Lagerback, i have no comments. |
