kene05: As we all know whatsapp has bin in existence for a long while before telegram came up, i will always prefer telegram to whatsapp for the following reasons 1. File sharing is very swift and durable on telegram, one can share files of 100mb or more to friends and loved ones, whereas on whatsapp you can only share the link to those files which i see as a long process.
2. Telegram has some added functions which can keep one busy incase your friends are not online e.g trivia bot, facts, quizz, and so, this feature is not available on whatsapp
3. Telegram have many more fun smileys and funny icons than whatsapp... My last kobo whatsapp is just up there because of the traffic they have acquired over the years, i bet if they came out the same time telegram would have surpassed whatsapp! What's your take on this? what about the difference in data consumption rate |

Politics › Re: Maryln Ogar Demoted, Recalled From Study Leave - Nigeriantimes by Mclick(m): 11:43am On Jul 05, 2015 |
sagr: The Department of State Service (DSS) seems to be in trouble already as some policy reversals which operatives consider as “witch-hunt” are being implemented just four days after a new Director General took over.
The DG Lawal Daura has, for instance suspended promotions done this year in the Service which were approved by former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Sources in the administration said that the former Spokesman of DSS, Marylyn Ogar who got an approval to proceed on three years study leave during the tenure of the former DG, Ita Ekpeyong has been asked to return to the country immediately.
A source who clarified the process of promotion in the Service however said on Saturday that “promotions in the DSS are recommended by the Service, forwarded to the National Security Adviser, who ratifies and then forwards to the President for approval.
The source said: “All these steps were followed. These promotions were duly approved by immediate ex- President Goodluck Jonathan before they were effected. It is difficult to prove any lapses or irregularities in that process because the incumbent DG, Daura, was also a beneficiary of a similar exercise when ex-DG, Ekpenyong Ita promoted him to the post of a Director at the twilight of his career shortly before he retired from Service.”
President Buhari in a circular approved the reversal of all promotions in the DSS approved by the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan from March 31.
A memo released to operatives of the secret police and signed by Toma Minti on behalf of the DG indicated that President Muhammadu Buhari had spotted “observed lapses” in the promotions released from March 31 and has accordingly directed a suspension.
The personnel affected include those promoted, converted and upgraded within the period under review. They are, therefore, to revert to their former ranks with immediate effect.”
It was gathered that panic has already gripped operatives of the Service, following allegations of a possible witch hunt as it was said that some departments, including the Public Relations and the Institute for Security Studies were being already penciled for certain actions.
The memo directed all affected personnel to revert to the old ranks while a committee was constituted to review all cases.
“If President Buhari had actually ordered the suspension, then he must have been grossly misled. Come around and sample the opinions of my colleagues and you would be amazed at such low morale that pervades the Service since the release of the circular”, another operative said.

chuna1985: GEJ weak I'm shocked many people don't know gej till now. what do u define as weakness it takes the strongest men to do all GEJ did. buhari s a very weak man.
GEJ was president for 5 years.
wen someone decides to bomb pipelines, u can't do anything about it.
I don't know what else to say to u...
GEJ is d best ever. GEJ is weak in the sense that he has it all but couldn't deliver, the strength of a leader is been able to advance his followers and take full responsibilities, it pure weakness to say his work is sabotage by people who doesn't have government machineries and more so to admit he can't do anything about those who bomb the pipe line, come to think of it, is it the people that sabotage his effort that also deplet nigerian reserve and see to the down turn of it economy with such huge corruption and impunity? It's not about personal grudge it about reality. if Gej has done the right thing with evidences to show, nigerians would have defended him with their blood, he was to relax and confidence that, with a lot of money he will win |

chuna1985: Nah, APC sabotaged GEJs effort by bombing gas pipelines for the past 2 - 3 years and that is why it could work. It was working well enough in Enugu here.
Also remember that private companies now generate n distribute electricity in Nigeria...The government just builds generating plants n then hand it over to them.
GEJ did all that. The electricity in Nigeria today was built by gej, we both know there has been steady electricity for 2 weeks now, there's no way buhari would have built power stations in 12 days to give us light. Bro we all know there is sabotage in our system, but if you want to ride on that, you are only portraying JEG as very weak, nigerian dont need a weak leader, as executive in this country has all it takes to make whatever work, it is also unfair to blame APC for the sabotage. Come to think of it, how old is APC, JEG has been president for 6 straight years, his antecedent as governor of bayelsa is enough to tell is he is a non performer. How can he ave spend those monies with so little to show for it, he simply has been about his own pocket, Nigeria needs a responsible and discipline leader JEG as he may to you have perform lack in cross term, the above quality of a leader we need as a nation |

I can't wait to see the fow yash o.d.a beside those of you clamoring for work from Mr president how else do you want him to work when, now suddenly our electricity start improving, all refineries to be in operations come next month, some billion dollars to be recovered, governors can now speak out, we now know what has been happening to our reserve, an end to impunity and massive looting in sight. I definitely prefer the man that we take his time to come up with production action and the one that seem to be working but looting the treasury dry with such ignoble crude impunity. |

dallyemmy: OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL... DATE : WEDNESDAY 13th MAY 2015
THEME : YOU CAN BE REPLACED!
Memorise:
Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Revelation 3:11
Read: Esther 7:9-8:2 And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who had spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon. Esther 8:2 And the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it unto Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman. Message
It is great folly to contend with God. This is why I pity those societies that have become anti-God and are challenging His commandments. God spoke about such people in Isaiah 45:9, saying:
“Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioned it, What makest thou? Or thy work, He hath on hands?
God can enthrone and dethrone at will. He does whatever pleases Him. You are blessed when God acts positively towards you, but if He decides to move against you, pray for His mercy. The Bible in Daniel 2:21 says:
“And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:” It is a grievous experience when God decides to replace an individual. Haman the Agagite experience this, and you can see the result in our Bible reading today.
King Ahasuerus promoted Haman above all his fellow princes. However, he thought it was by his own making that the promotion came. Little did he know that promotion does not come from the east or west, but from the Almighty God alone (Psalm 75:6-7). So, he began to misuse his highly exalted position to victimise the people of God. He continued to misbehave along this line until the Almighty God who ordained his promotion decided not only to demote him, but also to replace him. I pray for you as a child of God, that whosoever is using his or her position to victimise you shall be replaced in Jesus’ Name.
For God not to replace you, you must learn from those He has replaced. You can be replaced if you don’t make the best of the position of authority you are given to serve God’s people. Beware of divine replacement because it can affect your future generations.
Eli was replaced, and his house lost the priesthood forever. God categorically said that although He was the One who said Eli’s house would walk before Him as priests forever, He had changed His mind about this (1st Samuel 2:30). Please run away from whatever will make God replace you. If you have done such things, you must repent quickly before he removes your candlestick (Revelation 2:5).
Prayer Point : Dear Holy Spirit, nudge my heart away from doing anything that will make the Father replace me in Jesus’ Name.
