My pastor was preaching and he dabbled into marriage issues and how some ladies are still unmarried considering their age, we all took it normal until he shouted " where is sister faith, go and marry u are old" I personally felt very bad for her. The question now is dis....."What right has a pastor to do something like that?"

Refurbished trains no Stations.
I am not a supporter of GEJ but I think he's started well with this. I haven't seen anything like these trains all my life in Nigeria. Would you have condemned this if it was Buhari who started on this note? Let's give credit when and where due to whom it is due.

Most people will sit in front of their computer and type rubbish assuming things they see in other countries. There is nothing wrong with those trains joor (sic). I live here in the US and still see such trains. Most trains here are owned by private investors. Once the government can get this started and the private investors see this as a prospective business, they will invest and bring in better fleet. Like the road transport business in Nigeria today where investors scramble to improve their fleet to woo customers.

I think the government has started in the right direction and should be supported. Let us leran to appreciate what we have and work towards improving them, rather than make false condemnation
Seconded.

You Two Goofballs
by Tex

For my good Buddies.
I can't help but love y'all.
You're always there when I call.
First in line weather cheers or sympathies.

Always they who carries
My load when I fall.
And the laughter e no be small
Affection and camaraderie tarries.

So here we are makin' memories.
Each of us having a ball.
The order, it is tall,
But we got this, no worries.

In this tiny cubicle,
Was born the queer one.
They say they sang him a canticle,
As soon as he was born.

In this little village,
Grew the eccentric one.
Some say he set on his life's voyage,
Ere he had even begun.

In his own little world,
Lived the weird one.
All he sought did evade him.
All he fought did defeat him.
He would toil,
And he would moil.

He would try,
And he would cry,
But things would yet go awry.
He would scratch,
And he would search,

But yet for life he stood no match.
Still he couldn't stop.
No sooner had he left than he would return.

His was a frantic search for meaning,
A futile scouring for significance,
Another way of saying,
He knew not his own essence.

Just a suggestion If you wanted to break up the last stanza and a word replacement to keep from unnecessary repetition. smiley

PoliticsRe: "Abacha Never Stole" Says Buhari As Published 2008 By Thisday Newspaper by McSterling(m): 8:09pm On Dec 27, 2014
mbulela:
diplomacy over a dead criminal? Is that how he wants to fight corruption?
The good thing is that he'd not be fighting corrupt dead people when he comes in but living ones. Therefore, the occasion for such courtesy will not arise. Take for example his treatment of Abacha's son and how his mother complained about Buhari.

But the General was very wrong to say Abacha never stole. If Abacha never stole, then Alams and Ibori never stole too, I guess. But we all know those niqqas are f*cking kleptomaniacs.
PoliticsRe: "Abacha Never Stole" Says Buhari As Published 2008 By Thisday Newspaper by McSterling(m): 6:05pm On Dec 27, 2014
Of course, Abacha stole. The General was only being courteous and diplomatic since it was Abacha's remembrance. I believe in his heart of hearts he knew Abacha indeed stole aplenty.

RomanceRe: Why So Afraid? by McSterling(m): 10:30am On Dec 27, 2014
MizMyColi:
Seriously Dear, Love is not bleeped up bullshit.
We made it that way.
I'm afraid of what we'll pass down to our generation.
We modified and have now made it so impossible.
we mix love, lust and infatuation.

Love Applies Self Control
Love Is not Obsessive
Love gives breathing Space.
The scenario you described above shows a person who has little or no self love.

Take it from me dear, Love that you have not given to yourself, you cannot give to others.
Even if you try to, it will not be received in its truest form.

Self love is not selfish.
The scenario isn't necessarily of one who has no self love. It's rather of one who loves genuinely, fully and ingenuously. It is actually the kind of treatment that is meted to him that demeans, dehumanizes, vitiates and devalues him, and leads to lack of self love as a consequence.

IMO, one should not commit one's emotions fully to a relationship until one is completely sure about that relationship. Even if one can't help committing, one shouldn't show it. Don't act desperate. Leave your partner the chance to value you. Leave him/her the chance to commit too. Don't try to do/overdo everything. Let him/her do something too. Let it be mutual doing. It is mutual feelings or love that makes a relationship. When love is unrequited, there's in fact no relationship.

Uglyduckling:
You've just summarised my last experience in love with this. Now I'm stuck on whether to give love another chance or just forget about it totally. And the worse is that I am too afraid that I will hurt someone who will love me the way I loved. And I not ready to be a source of pain to anyone because I know how that feels.
Quite a dilemma.
RomanceRe: Why So Afraid? by McSterling(m): 6:55am On Dec 27, 2014
Love can be a dangerous/unhealthy thing especially when you invest all your emotions and energies into it. You love somebody so much; you become so dependent on them like an invalid. You literally can't do without them. And even when they hurt and abuse you, you can't feel it, you can't see it. And when you do see and feel it, you keep going back to get hurt. You become a masochist of sorts- you relish the pain. Even when it's crystal clear that they do not love you at all or at least not as much as you do, you fail to see, you fail to accept. You're so emotionally attached. You so desperately want their love and so you end up vitiating yourself in the process.

That's some f*cked up bullsh*t!
