Good morning everyone. I am about to invest in a solar system and i am stuck between choosing between growatt 6kva inverter and cworth 6kva inverter.

Please who can give me an informed advice which they consider to be a better buy? Especially in terms of durability, expansion and after sales service.

Also any advice about Cworth lithium batteries?

Those are CALB lifepo4 cells with plastic shell. CALB has cells either in aluminium shells (popular version) and this plastic design.

Some CALBs I got from Sinopoly 5 years ago are still rocking

Going back to the battery, build is BS, the BMS may likely be BS too. They could've done better.

I notice you don't use knife changeover switch in your installation. Is on of the AC breaker serving this purpose?

Probably using a Moulded Case Manual Transfer Switch. Same size as an MCB and DIN rail mounted.

If it's truly 500ah battery will weigh close to 52kg (equivalent to some 200ah lead acid battery).

I hope you know that "grid tied solar" means you are out putting your excess back to the grid. I belive it not possible in Nigeria yet. I guess you meant you want to run a system with input from mains or grid

People use grid tie solar inverters in Nigeria to reduce expenses on diesel (they get to run smaller diesel gen) and reduce NEPA bills. Though the organisation that often go for it are mostly those that run during the day eg banks, schools, etc.

They incorporate a GTI to their system to help reduce utility billings and reduce expense on fuel. They don't have to necessarily sell back excess power to the grid (as Nigeria currently have no such feature in their energy distribution system).

I wonder how would have coped with BAND-A Tariff without Solar Energy.

Someone should help me check how much I would have been spending on daily energy needs without solar.

Which gives an average of 105kwh/day

Going by Band A ₦225/kWh tariff that's roughly ₦23k/ day savings or ₦713k/month. That's some insane energy savings.

Going green is totally worth it.

Series or parallel?

In addition, these are most likely the earlier generations of life po4 cells with shorter life span and higher IR.
Why would anyone want to buy a used battery for that amount when they can just add 100-150k for a newer pack with longer life span.

There's no grid supply at the moment the user got the error. N the inverter is not coming on. Just charging with panel alone. When she put it on. She got that.

Let them check for back feed...that is output supplying the input. Someone needs to run a check at location.

Abeg those wey dey use sms hybrid inverter. Weitin error 05 mean.

All these Chinese inverter tend to have similar error codes to be honest with you.

Error 05 is abnormal low input voltage. The input may be too low (90v ish) . Check the input voltage. Consider getting an AVR.

Are valto's cells grade A ?

Grade A batteries are expensive. If anyone makes batteries with grade A for DIY, must Nigerians won't buy it. Best to get a good cell with right capacity.

Please which inverter would be best for my home usage out of Schneider SW4024 & SW4048? Also, what's they minimum capacity of LiPo4 battery bank that would be required?

I have a 4048, will advise you to get that instead of the 24 version (4024) simply because it's easier to run high capacity lithium battery in 48v instead of 24v. Both are same capacity though just different battery system voltage.

Also you get to run higher number of solar panels in 48 configuration rather than 24v with same solar charge controller.

There is no "minimum number" in battery configuration. You buy battery according to your load needs. You can get a 500wh lithium battery in both 24v and 48v. Same inverter can also work with a 60000wh or 60kwh battery.

Using generator analogy, your inverter is the generator, your battery is the petrol. The amount of fuel you buy is dependent on how long you plan to use the generator. This is applicable to inverter too, size of battery depends on the load to be powered and the duration you want it powered.

Go to setting 5 and set PTCL to L01 036 make sure cable is on BMS and 485 PORT on the battery.

POW-HVM11K-48V. It states 11,000watts maximum input. We had a PowMr 24v hybrid which took 2x over panelling so we figured we can push our luck with this inverter. It was $800 inverter, worse case scenario. we lose it
30 pieces of 550 watts solar panels wired 10s3p.
20 pieces of 550 watts solar panel connected to POW-48140A ( HF MPPT Controller).
Remenber, amps is pulled from panels. You can have as much panels you want but when the battery is full, the panels responds to the load requirement.

70% of Nigerian Renewable Energy installers/electrician's needs to be retrained. Someone today installed 2s 6p with solar panel of VoC 40v on an inverter with MPPT range of 120v to 500v and wondered why it was no longer charging batteries by 3:30pm.

His reason: system voltage of 24v requires 2s.

I have, but if the item is not worth more than 50USD don't bother, seek for alternative way of settling the dispute. The reason is simple, returning things to China is freaking expensive. Also the item being returned may be lost in transit
I've returned a phone before when Nigeria's naira was still strong and economy is not in shambles.

Good morning bosses, my growatt inverter stopped charging my battery since last night even tho there is electricity, I am not very savvy with these things tbh and my installer’s number isn’t going through at the moment, Please what could be the problem?

I don't think the power is getting to the inverter. Notice the 0v that shows no voltage on the input. You might need to check on the input breaker to see if it has issues. Or contact installer to check why the inverter is not seeing input voltage.
