SaintUlot: It could also be because sales coming from Nigeria has dropped drastically and they aren't encouraged to drop coupons since sales coming from Nigeria has become insignificant. You may have a point. Everything I buy is something I badly needed that can't be sourced in Nigeria, if it can be sourced I buy it here. I hardly buy anything these days as the exchange rate makes it truly super expensive to buy ANYTHING. |

odimbannamdi: Danibestguy, take note of this my explanation and explain to your landlord.
You can reach me to explain more with pictures. Better still, I can refer you to the guy that did mine to even explain the best and probably do yours if you are in Lagos. Although, I am sure there are several guys here that can install safely and professional here
I had same issues with my landlord when I wanted to hang mine. He mandated me to write an undertaking which I cleverly worded to state that I will be responsible for damage that is "confirmed to be due to the installation".
Thankfully, the situation was very familiar to the installer I used, so he sent me pictures showing the rough condition of the roof before the installation and throughout the whole installation process even without me asking, some of which i shared in previous post. He even had to use his flashband to gum some areas of the roof that was already cracking
And as if he knew, a few weeks after, landlord's father that stays upstairs (underneath where the installation was done) called that water was entering into his roof. My heart sank and I had to call the installer immediately. He came, checked and confirmed that it wasn't in the part that he worked. He still had to use his own flashband to gum that part too. It's been 2+ years now and there has been no issue. Infact, 6 months after I did mine, landlord's father did his as well on another part of the roof, but still very close to mine.
I hope this helps Your landlord is reasonable. Some are so unreasonable and some installers are so unprofessional that they cause leaks. |

Bb007: Any idea of the cost, durability and if there is any particular brand to look out for when buying a solar water pump? Nah, but most use Yohako, because it's affordable and kind of seem to work. But if you want genuine rugged time tested features buy Grundfos, Franklin etc. but they they are pretty much more expensive.

Bb007: Please is anyone here using a solar water pump or have installed one. I am looking at installing one in an area with no light to pump water, but i can't find much information online.
Compared to setting up a small inverter system to pump the water, which will be cheaper if one is working on a budget? If you have any idea on connecting solar panels, connecting a solar pump is easy. It has a control box. Just follow the instructions on the accompanying leaflet to connect. It's best you buy the pump that has capacity to use AC, just in the event you need water when there is no sun. Buy appropriate solar panels to match the size of pump. In the attached pictures, one is DC only, the other type of pump can do with both AC and DC.

Ithream: Oh interesting. It’s a LifePO4 battery and I have changed the “battery type” settings from “5-3.2” to “4-3.2” I.e for a LifePo4 battery, and right now the error is gone. But I guess I have done this b4 and the error managed to come back then. I am still novice to Solar anyways.
If this fault is from the PWM controller or battery I can’t really tell too. Glad you got it figured |

Trippledots: Has anybody here used Cworth 4kw hybrid inverter? Does it have issues charging an LFP battery from grid?
I installed one recently and noticed it charges from grid. However, if there is supply interruption and it is restored the battery will refuse to charge except the inverter is shutdown and restarted. 🤔
Any experiences or opinions is welcome Have no idea. But the only thing I can add here is to be wary of C-worth products. So many issues with their batteries. Now hearing this with their inverter means they ain't worth the savings you make when going for their products. |

Is any thing that can be done without positioning the battery close to the working unit?. easyyoke: Abeg make una help me o. Is it normal for a 550W panel of 48V VOC to drop to as low as 26v when under load in proper sunlight. What is the Vmp? Do you get close to this VoC on the solar panel when you measure the voltage without load? The drop is excessive, you should check your wiring if the measurement is close to the specs. Most rebadged solar panels don't perform as the spec sheets state. |

Gshems: The 320 watt is KBC . The 580 I am planning on getting is jinko 580 .Comparison of Configurations Parallel Connection: Voltage: Limited by the lower voltage panel (33V). Current adds up: Combined current is Imp1+ Imp2 = 13.69A+ 10.6A= 24.29A Ptotal (Total Power Output) == 24.29A X 33V = 801.56w Series Connection: Voltage adds up Voltage: Combined voltage is Vt1+Vt2 = 42.37v + 40v = 82.37v Current: Limited by the lower current panel (10.6A). Ptotal (Total Power Output) = 10.6A X 82.37v = 873.122w Conclusion While the series connection yields a higher theoretical power output of approximately 874W, it is limited by the lower-performing panel's current (10.6A). If the 320W panel experiences shading or inefficiencies, the entire output drops significantly. In contrast, the parallel configuration provides a more reliable output of approximately 802W, ensuring that even if one panel underperforms, the other can still contribute effectively. Thus, for systems where shading or performance variability is a concern, parallel connection is generally better due to its increased reliability and consistent performance under varying condition |
