From my own experience, dust is doing a serious number on panels during the dry season especially if you are in a place where there is untarred section of a busy road.

Once before, dust build-up on the panels have reduced charging output by as much as 30%.

Then there is this issue of hot sun in dry season, at temperatures which exceed the optimum operating temperature of those panels.

À well ventilated panel (on the underside) installation can help mitigate that heat-indicted drop in capacity

Dust can drastically reduce capacity. Those near busy dusty roads are in for some crazy power reduction this period.

Most fans used in most inverters and cc are not brushless fans. PowMr fan is very very noisy not until i replaced the fan to brushless. The silence I enjoy is 90% gap. Same goes to my inverters.

You can also drop oil towards the centre of the fan. Another culprit is presence of dust. An unconventional way is to reduce the voltage of the fan via a mini regulator ( this is a bit technical though).

Changing to a quieter fan works too. But their default fan is so noisy

yes, his own isn't. That fan spin makes my serene space noisy. If I had known, I'd have installed it in my flat entrance rather than in my kitchen entrance. .
It's giving generator pollution without the carbon monoxide

That's the annoying thing about hybrid. Reinstall it. Not too late. I hate the fan noise too.

I haven't lost a dispute before. I always wonder why. Hopefully you get to win this. Most people in position of trust tend to abuse it. It's almost like a Nigerian thing. Hard to see people truly dedicated to their profession that is ok with their pay. There is always someone somewhere scheming on how to get richer, cut corners, or steal from where they work.

I ordered for 2 earpods and one SD card. At the point of delivery, I noticed that the items I'm feeling in my hand can never be 2 earphones cos of the way it felt.

I asked the delivery guy that has the package been opened, he said I should see the way it is SEALED, that if I have any issues, I should complain to AliExpress.

On further quick inspection, I just told myself that it's probably error during packaging.

Sadly after close of the day's activities, my mind wasn't really settled concerning the package, I said let me check well if there are any loophole to get into the package and unfortunately, there is.

If you're familiar with AliExpress packaging, you'll know that they fold the nylon and place the delivery sticker to seal it from tampering. They probably got in through the fold. Cos the paper seal is still intact.

I've not opened it cos I want to make a video maybe I can get a refund.

Wetin pain me pass is the fact that,the more expensive of the buds was stolen and the cheaper one was left.

I've never experienced any item being stolen before so I don't really know how to go about it.

Do video of unboxing and open dispute. I once had a $100 smart watch stolen which was routed via NIPOST. I got refunded and I bought it again and it got delivered by Speedaf. Some of these thefts may happen during custom clearance, that's long before either NIPOST or Speedaf get to see the package.

I discover that some stores have made moves to reduce the prices of their products in anticipation of the upcoming Black Friday sales as compared to what they were on the 11.11. How did I know that?

There's this mobile phone I planned to order during the 11.11, but because of the high price, I decided to wait till the last moment of the sales to know if I'd eventually order it or not. So, I made sure the phone is moved to 'unpaid item' list , hoping to compare the price to that of Black Friday's, and to pay for it later if the price is more favorable than that of the later sales.

When the Black Friday warm-up popped up yesterday, I checked the upcoming price of the phone, only to discover that it has gone down by $4.

Even without coupons, what happens to the price slash of old? I genuinely don't understand why 11-11 prices are higher than July prices. These days I buy only things I can't get elsewhere. If I can, I don't hesitate to buy in Nigeria.

This is real life measurement. I'm not using paper specs. My 1.5HP Sumo draws 7.3A @ 230V

1.5HP submersible consumes about 1700 watts. 2 nos of 12v 100ah is about 2400wh (I'm assuming the batteries are lithium batteries). The run hours will be less than 1 hour 30 minutes. You are also draining it at a high C-rate of 75A (I'm assuming the 4kva is a 24v inverter) which is almost 1C.


Unless you do this during heavy sunshine (I'm assuming you have like 3000w of solar panels) this will continuously strain your battery.

Also I'm assuming the battery is wired with appropriately sized cables and have fuses and breakers of right capacity.

My recommendation: consider getting a standalone solar panels + DC/AC pump to replace the current AC submersible pump, or upgrading the system to 48v and get a 48v lithium battery (from 7.5kwh upwards) to run this pump or finally to use NEPA/Gen to pump water.

You may have a point. Everything I buy is something I badly needed that can't be sourced in Nigeria, if it can be sourced I buy it here. I hardly buy anything these days as the exchange rate makes it truly super expensive to buy ANYTHING.

I have just 2 300w panels and one 190w,dem heavy. Almost topple from ladder during installation.

I have a guy do this, install 8 nos of 300w in a slightly slanted roof with zero nails. The panel was there for 8 years. He only uses a lil binding wire to secure up. E dey work.

I had same issues with my landlord when I wanted to hang mine. He mandated me to write an undertaking which I cleverly worded to state that I will be responsible for damage that is "confirmed to be due to the installation".

Thankfully, the situation was very familiar to the installer I used, so he sent me pictures showing the rough condition of the roof before the installation and throughout the whole installation process even without me asking, some of which i shared in previous post. He even had to use his flashband to gum some areas of the roof that was already cracking

And as if he knew, a few weeks after, landlord's father that stays upstairs (underneath where the installation was done) called that water was entering into his roof. My heart sank and I had to call the installer immediately. He came, checked and confirmed that it wasn't in the part that he worked. He still had to use his own flashband to gum that part too. It's been 2+ years now and there has been no issue. Infact, 6 months after I did mine, landlord's father did his as well on another part of the roof, but still very close to mine.

Nah, but most use Yohako, because it's affordable and kind of seem to work.

But if you want genuine rugged time tested features buy Grundfos, Franklin etc. but they they are pretty much more expensive.

If you have any idea on connecting solar panels, connecting a solar pump is easy. It has a control box. Just follow the instructions on the accompanying leaflet to connect.

It's best you buy the pump that has capacity to use AC, just in the event you need water when there is no sun. Buy appropriate solar panels to match the size of pump.

In the attached pictures, one is DC only, the other type of pump can do with both AC and DC.

Oh interesting. It’s a LifePO4 battery and I have changed the “battery type” settings from “5-3.2” to “4-3.2” I.e for a LifePo4 battery, and right now the error is gone. But I guess I have done this b4 and the error managed to come back then. I am still novice to Solar anyways.

If this fault is from the PWM controller or battery I can’t really tell too.

This year's 11:11 is a scam. No deals so far. I have a lot of things in my cart that I noted their prices for more than 5 months. Some has even increased.

Has anybody here used Cworth 4kw hybrid inverter? Does it have issues charging an LFP battery from grid?

I installed one recently and noticed it charges from grid. However, if there is supply interruption and it is restored the battery will refuse to charge except the inverter is shutdown and restarted. 🤔

Have no idea. But the only thing I can add here is to be wary of C-worth products. So many issues with their batteries. Now hearing this with their inverter means they ain't worth the savings you make when going for their products.

Una wey dey on grid dey try. Me don sack NEPA / PHCN for over 14-years. As in I use 3 legs jump into Solar. I no even get backUp generator sef. Sold mine to my ex-Boss less than 2-months after going Solar.

I don't have gen too. It's crazy to just freestyle life without generator in Nigeria
